Hi, I’m MinshiZzz!  If you enjoy my works, feel free to reach out or share your thoughts. I’d be happy to hear from you! https://ko-fi.com/minshizzz

On a Sunday morning, both men woke up exceptionally early.

The rising sun streamed through the glass. The warm, orange light of dawn fell on Qing Lin’s fair cheek and touched the slightly lifted ends of the hair on his head.

Qing Lin was brushing his teeth in the bathroom. Shen Xuzhi gently pressed down the slightly raised hair on his head. The light scattered, plating it with a faint gold.

Golden slices of toast and bacon were sizzling on the small stove in the kitchen. Large-leaved lisianthus flowers from the west street market had been brought home and were being carefully tended, their branches full, swaying in the breeze.

Qing Lin rinsed his mouth, still holding foam. Shen Xuzhi gazed at his bright, calm eyes, leaned down, and kissed him.

Today’s toothpaste had a faint cherry blossom flavor, the one they bought together at the supermarket that day.

Shen Xuzhi wrapped his arms around Qing Lin’s waist, causing a ripple in his clothes. Qing Lin was gently pressed against the bathroom wall, his hands grasping his lover’s back, closing his eyes to return the kiss.

Shen Laoshi had become especially clingy lately.

And with good reason.

Today, they were getting married.

Qing Lin’s lips trembled. Shen Laoshi wore his glasses when he woke up in the morning, and the frames would occasionally bump his face when he kissed him.

The cool touch offered a sharp contrast to the fervent kiss and breath.

He suddenly remembered when they went to get their marriage license not long ago; Shen Laoshi was the same way.

He got up early and stayed by Qing Lin’s side every step of the way, needing to kiss him after watching him for a moment, constantly hooking his fingers around his, holding him tightly as if afraid he might suddenly vanish.

The day they got their marriage license was an auspicious one, and the Civil Affairs Bureau was already crowded in the early morning.

As Shen Xuzhi and Qing Lin walked in, the first words from those who recognized them were, “Congratulations on your marriage!”

They saw other happy couples, faces beaming with joy, and some girls even wore veils while taking wedding photos with their husbands.

“Congratulations on getting your license! Happy wedding and may you be together for a hundred years!”

The moment they finished registering and received the marriage certificate, Qing Lin felt a sudden rush of excitement.

He turned to Shen Xuzhi beside him. The man was staring at the red booklet in his hand. After a long, quiet moment, he turned, took Qing Lin’s hand, kissed it gently on his lips, and whispered, “It feels like a dream.”

Qing Lin stroked Shen Xuzhi’s face as a slightly cool breeze began to stir gently around them.

“I dreamed of this a long time ago. Now I’m a little scared that I’m still dreaming and will wake up any second.”

Shen Xuzhi told him sincerely that, it wasn’t until Qing Lin leaned in to kiss his brow and the corner of his mouth that he finally felt a sense of reality again.

That day, every touch of affection felt weighty. Every soft gasp and gentle breath seemed to remind them again and again: this was real—they were truly married.

____________________________________________________________________________________

Qing Lin was pressed against the bathroom wall, feeling Shen Xuzhi’s exploring tongue—restrained yet roughly intertwining with his own, as if he were trying once more to confirm his reality.

Qing Lin opened his eyes, squinted, and gently bit his tongue, then brought his lips back to kiss him in a tempting, yet resisting manner.

“Still think you’re dreaming?” Qing Lin teased him.

“No, I’m just,” Shen Xuzhi gently brushed against him, explaining in a low voice,

“Especially nervous.”

The two of them lingered intimately in the bathroom for a long time. It wasn’t until their phone was practically blowing up that they realized they had completely forgotten the next thing they needed to do.

“Xuzhi, you nearly gave me a heart attack! I thought you overslept,” said Shen Xuzhi’s sister, Shen Qianyin, on the other end of the line.

Shen Xuzhi: “No, we were just getting ready.”

“The driver’s downstairs already. Come down when you’re ready,” Qianyin said. “Today is your wedding, and the whole world is watching.”

That statement was no exaggeration. Since the day they officially announced their relationship, various brands had approached Shen Xuzhi for collaborations, even offering to sponsor their wedding.

After the engagement, the entire internet was waiting for them to get married. Shen Xuzhi’s fans prepared congratulatory gifts on Weibo, which would be sent to the venue on the day of the wedding.

On the day ShenLin received their marriage certificate, the entire internet went into a frenzy. Weibo crashed, and people everywhere were moved, reaffirming their faith in love. ShenLin was real—truly yyds.

And finally, the day of the wedding arrived.

Shen Xuzhi and Qing Lin arrived at the custom suit shop.

After getting the license, they met each other’s family. Due to certain reasons, the parental involvement was simplified. For Qing Lin, it was his immediate relative Qi Youhuai, and for Shen Xuzhi, it was his older sister, Shen Qianyin.

Shen Qianyin, who bore a seven-tenths resemblance to Shen Xuzhi and was a capable woman, particularly adored Qing Lin. That very day, she took her dear brother-in-law shopping and bought hundreds of thousands worth of gifts, calling them his wedding presents.

The company that created the wedding suits was also Qianyin-jie’s own high-end luxury enterprise.

The suit had been made once and then altered. It was a white suit.

When a groom tries on his suit, the other groom isn’t supposed to see it. Qing Lin changed into his, styled his hair simply, and looked handsome with clear, defined features. His tall frame was softly contoured, and he looked striking in white.

“Oh, it’s perfect!” Shen Qianyin loved it, coming over to pinch Qing Lin’s cheek. “How can my brother-in-law be so beautiful? Xiao Shen is truly blessed!”

The tailor also commented, “It seems Mr. Shen has taken very good care of Mr. Qing. I was worried this one might still be too large, but this fit is excellent.”

“Excellent,” Shen Qianyin smiled and said. “Following this size, make me six more suits in different styles.”

Qing Lin: “No need, Qianyin-jie, really.”

Shen Qianyin: “It’s your wedding day; your sister is happy. Forget about ‘no need,’ this is for good luck!”

At that moment, a gasp of admiration came from the other fitting room. Qing Lin couldn’t help but wonder what Shen Xuzhi would look like in his outfit.

After reviewing the suits, they headed to the hotel hosting the wedding to do their makeup.

The wedding was held at a luxurious seaside hotel, with a modern outdoor ceremony set on the lawn.

From planning to decorating, Shen Xuzhi was personally involved, while Qing Lin handled the design of the invitations and the wedding logo.

They found more joy in being actively involved than in having everything done for them.

This wedding was highly anticipated. One groom was an A-list music producer who had dominated the entertainment world since their relationship became public, while the other was the long-lost young master, finally acknowledged by the leading Chengqi Group in the business world.

For security, Shen Xuzhi had booked the entire hotel. The exhibition hall near the ceremony was fully staffed with bodyguards arranged by Qi Youhuai, and only designated photographers and close friends with invitations were allowed inside the venue.

In stark contrast to the delicately arranged coastal wedding, the area outside the hotel was swarming with fans and reporters who couldn’t enter but were watching closely.

It was truly a spectacular scene; everyone had come for them.

In the warm and solemn wedding setting, the fragrance of flowers mingled in the air, extending to the nearby coastline. Reflected by the shimmering waves, romance was completely enveloped.

“Are the grooms done with their makeup?”

Ning Yian and Su Mingxuan came to check on Qing Lin in the dressing room, followed by Nan Yu and Qiao Weilan.

“Happy wedding! Happy wedding!” Su Mingxuan said cheerfully. “Ah Zhi was afraid you’d be hungry, so he asked me to bring you something to eat.”

Qing Lin accepted it. It was a strawberry cake—his favorite flavor from the shop he and Shen Xuzhi had visited last time.

He smiled and said, “Thank you. I’m glad you all could make it.”

We’ve basically witnessed your entire journey,” Ning Yian said. “Oh, and Director Hong is here too. Follow Heart brought together three couples—it’s practically supernatural! The reviews are amazing!”

“Linlin!!”

A childlike voice rang out from outside, followed by the sound of pattering footsteps. Shang Miaomiao ran and jumped toward Qing Lin.

“Happy wedding, Linlin! You’re finally marrying Xuxu!” Shang Miaomiao said excitedly. “Miaomiao is the flower boy today! I’m here to give blessings to Linlin and Xuxu! Linlin is super pretty today!”

Qing Lin knelt down to hug Shang Miaomiao, seeing him in a little white suit with a flower pinned to his chest. He smiled and said, “Thank you, Miaomiao.”

Then a slender man walked in from outside. He greeted Qing Lin: “Happy wedding. The flowers suit you very well.”

Qing Lin recognized him. He was the husband of the Movie King Shang, Shang Miaomiao’s Papa, Meng Qiu.

After everyone chatted for a while, the chapel bell chimed.

The bell rang three times, signaling the wedding was about to begin.

Shen Xuzhi’s fan club, Qing Lin’s fan club, and the official ShenLin Qijing fan club were all waiting for news online.

This wedding of the century couldn’t be entered, but it could be live-streamed.

The guests were seated. In the pure white preparation room, only Shen Xuzhi remained.

The sunlight streamed through the colored glass windows, casting a mosaic of light on the floor, like the small details of life intertwining to form a picture scroll.

Shen Xuzhi paced back and forth and took a deep breath. He admitted he was extremely nervous.

This was his wedding to Qing Lin.

The bell chimed again.

“Please welcome the Groom—”

The light orchestral music outside switched to the wedding march. Looking out, pink and white flowers adorned every corner: the green lawn, the azure sea, family and friends dressed in formal attire. Every scene was dreamlike.

Shen Xuzhi tried his best to calm his emotions, suppressing the surge in his heart again and again. He pushed open the large door and strode toward the ceremony hall.

A gentle melody floated in the air, adding a romantic solemnity to the beautiful ceremony.

Shang Boze, the wedding host, held the microphone, looked at the nervous man, and said, “Please welcome the other Groom.”

Shen Xuzhi heard the guests’ enthusiastic shouts and applause from below the stage. As his lover walked toward him, step by step, a surge of emotion welled up inside him.

In the bustling space filled with voices, his heartbeat spread endlessly. Just by standing with his back to him, Shen Xuzhi was overcome with excitement and emotion.

Shang Boze said to Shen Xuzhi, “Now, you may turn around and look at your groom.”

Shen Xuzhi lowered his head, forcefully suppressing the urge to cry. Today, he wanted to show Qing Lin his very best side.

But the moment he turned and saw Qing Lin in his suit, looking into his lover’s clear eyes, he finally lost control.

The romantic music lingered in the wind. Shen Xuzhi’s eyes welled up, and tears poured out.

Qing Lin hadn’t expected Shen Xuzhi to cry. He quickly reached for his hand, but his hand was immediately grasped tightly in return.

Warm fingertips brushed over his skin, and his palm suddenly felt scalding hot.

Shen Xuzhi wiped away his tears. The look he gave him was filled with the purest and richest love, and his voice was soft and lingering: “I just—I love you too much.”

He had finally claimed the young man he had longed for over six years, embracing both the passage of time and his dreams, and turning the reality that had repeatedly visited him in dreams into the rose he had so carefully nurtured.

Cheers erupted both on stage and off, while the livestream’s comment section scrolled so rapidly it nearly froze the screen.

Shang Miaomiao, as the little flower boy, ran up to deliver the rings to the two grooms. Shen Xuzhi and Qing Lin exchanged rings during their vows. The rings’ glow reflected in their hearts, infused with the light of future happiness.

“Xuxu and Linlin must be even happier after getting married. Be happy every day, and be happier with each passing day!” Shang Miaomiao took over his father’s job, holding the little microphone, and announced, “Now you can kiss!”

“Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!”

“Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!”

[Kiss! Kiss him like your life depends on it!]

[Ahhh! Ahhh! Happy wedding!]

[Wuwuwu, this wedding! Wuwuwu, Shen Laoshi is the god of pure love—crying at his own wedding, wuwuwu, how deep is his love!]

[Kiss! Kiss!]

The tide surged in the distance. The shimmering waves of the sea also sent their wedding blessings, adding an ambiguous echo to the moment.

Shen Xuzhi lowered his head and kissed his groom.

The kiss still had the cherry blossom flavor of the morning’s toothpaste, but now it was mixed with the faint sweetness of strawberry cake and Earl Grey milk tea.

But this kiss was hotter than most, uniquely special, and the intensity with which he held Qing Lin’s waist made him gasp even more.

Years ago, Qing Lin would not have dared to imagine this—that he would marry at the age of 22.

Memories drifted slowly. He didn’t dare imagine what his life would be like if he hadn’t met Shen Xuzhi—whether he could have endured, whether he would have found himself once more on that lonely rooftop, or crying again in the pouring rain.

And so, he chose to believe in destiny, accepting the embrace that altered his path and carried him beyond the Roche Limit.

Roses, the coastline, white waves crashing against the shore, green grass, his beloved, the sound of applause—all blended together in a blur. Yet in his eyes, there was only the one person standing before him.

“Shen Xuzhi,” Qing Lin pressed his forehead against Shen Xuzhi’s, steadying his breath, and smiled, “Happy wedding day.”

“I love you.”
