Thanks to My Enemy, I Become Immortal Emperor - Chapter 80
“But it’s random! I can’t control whether it turns out good or bad!”
Zhao Gou was taken aback.
He fell into deep thought.
In the end, however, Zhao Gou decided to give up.
“Forget it, let’s not change anything. Besides, my luck has always been terrible, especially since associating with you – it’s become even worse!”
The fortune-teller chuckled softly.
Suddenly, his gaze shifted towards Liu Shunyi, appearing somewhat stunned.
“Young man, what is your name?”
Liu Shunyi hesitated momentarily before smiling.
“What, are you going to tell my fortune now?”
The fortune-teller scrutinized Liu Shunyi from head to toe, his eyes filled with astonishment.
“Your fate is highly unpredictable; I sense a constant risk of calamity looming over you. If you trust me, I…”
“Snap!”
“Aiyo!”
Before the fortune-teller could finish, he felt a sharp sting on his face, as if struck by something.
“Who, who just ambushed me?!”
Zhao Gou looked around, bewildered.
Meanwhile, Liu Shunyi was slightly dumbfounded.
For the old man had been smacked by a brushstroke.
Unable to locate the source, the old man once again smiled at Liu Shunyi.
“Truly, observing you closely, I see ominous clouds gathering above. In the near future, calamity and bloodshed await. However, if you give me some money, I can…”
“Crack! Crack! Crack!…”
The old man’s head whipped back and forth like a rattle drum as he was repeatedly struck. Finally, he collapsed onto his rear.
“Damn it, who keeps ambushing this old man?!” The fortune-teller scanned his surroundings yet again.
Still, there was no one in sight. He scratched his head, perplexed.
“Could it be…some malevolent spirit?”
Just then, the old fortune-teller sensed an aura of imminent danger enveloping him from above.
He looked up.
There was nothing visible, but Liu Shunyi, feeling bewildered, noticed a brush floating over the old man’s head.
Apparently, mentioning “malevolent spirits” had enraged the brush.
Its bristles began emitting continuous golden light, coalescing into a sword shape.
“Holy shit, hold on, Grandpa Golden Scroll, call it off,” Liu Shunyi hastily pleaded inwardly.
The Grand Dao Golden Book vibrated slightly.
The brush swiftly flew back to its owner, but its shaft continued to vibrate, clearly still agitated.
The fortune-telling old man swallowed nervously.
“Why do I feel like I just danced on the edge of death?”
Zhao Gou chuckled sarcastically.
“Perhaps your divination skills are lacking, leading you astray. The heavens couldn’t bear it and wanted to strike you down.”
Liu Shunyi glanced at Zhao Gou, surprised yet somewhat impressed. Although not entirely accurate, there was truth in Zhao Gou’s words.
Upon hearing Zhao Gou’s comment, the fortune-teller had a sudden realization. He hastily performed another divination, and his face instantly turned pale.
“My apologies, gentlemen. For some inexplicable reason, my ancestral tomb has been destroyed; I must rush back immediately.”
Zhao Gou and Liu Shunyi exchanged glances, both remaining silent.
Afterward, they continued strolling around for quite some time before eventually parting ways, each citing personal matters to attend to.
The fortune-telling old man’s warning was not merely idle talk.
His ancestral tomb had indeed exploded.
Not only that, but even the memorial tablets were destroyed.
Upon returning home, the fortune-teller’s face filled with terror.
In his living room sat three clothed skeletal figures.
“Fuck!” The old man turned to flee immediately.
However, just as he spun around,
“Bang…”
the door automatically closed behind him.
Swallowing hard, the fortune-telling old man slowly pivoted back.
As soon as he faced them, he found himself mere inches away from three skulls grinning at him.
The old man forced a nervous smile.
Then, his eyes rolled back, and he collapsed unconscious onto the floor.
The three skeletons exchanged glances. One of them knelt down, using its finger bones to press on the old man’s philtrum point.
After a brief moment,
the old man regained consciousness.
The three skeletons formed a triangle around him, all staring intently.
Instantly, the old man tensed up.
With a tilt of his head, he fainted once again.
The three skeletons scratched their smooth skullcaps simultaneously, puzzled.
Finally, they decided to lift the old man and hastily depart, disappearing amidst a thick cloud of smoke, destination unknown.
Zhao Gou seemed to be doing well, even better than Liu Shunyi had anticipated.
Thus, he no longer worried about Zhao Gou’s situation.
At this moment, Liu Shunyi had arrived at the Heavenly God Cult’s base – specifically, Hui Lake.
After observing for several days, he discovered one consistent occurrence:
The Heavenly God Cult members beneath the lake absorbed spiritual energy from it daily.
To be precise, they were drawing upon the spiritual energy emanating from a milky-white pearl within the lake.
Furthermore, due to the presence of that pearl, the lake water itself transformed into liquid spiritual power.
“Ah-ha, so you rely on this lake for sustenance,” Liu Shunyi chuckled sardonically and promptly dropped his pants to relieve himself into the water.
As the Heavenly God Cult members, who had been monitoring the shore, witnessed this act, their faces turned green with disgust.
“Kill him!” someone shouted.
However, just as they were about to charge towards Liu Shunyi, he let out a snicker and swiftly activated a sealing Great Formation, trapping all the Heavenly God Cult members inside.
The group barely reached the lake surface before being obstructed by the sealing barrier.
“Damned brat! You’re asking for it!” Liu Shunyi stood on the water’s surface, his lips curling into an evil grin as he eyed the group of Sakura members.
Liu Shunyi swiftly departed and soon returned with a herd of boars (male pigs).
He then fed them Jade Water Pills along with a few Joyous Union Pills.
The Heavenly God Cult members instantly realized what was happening.
“Cursed bastard! Don’t let me catch you, or else… Wait, what are you doing?!”
Next moment, they saw Liu Shunyi pour a pink liquid into the water, emitting wisps of pink smoke.
With that done, Liu Shunyi kicked all the pigs into the lake!
Then, using a crystal ball, he projected the entire scene into the sky for everyone in Qin Province to witness the antics involving the Heavenly God Cult members.
On the crystal ball itself, Liu Shunyi wrote:
Producer: “Kometaro!”
Having completed his work, Liu Shunyi vanished instantly.
“Boom!”
At another Heavenly God Cult encampment,
Abe Luoxue watched the projection in the sky, feeling an icy chill envelop her body.
Seeing Abe Onisha unable to resist hugging the pig-or rather, being hugged by the pig-her face turned pale with fury.
In anger, she slammed her hand down, shattering the table.
“Find out who did this! And that ‘Kometaro,’ just who is he? Capture him alive; I want him to suffer endlessly, neither able to live nor die!”
However, it wasn’t just Abe Luoxue who was enraged.
Due to Abe Onisha’s actions, the entire Abe Clan seethed with fury.
Even the Heavenly God Cult itself began to tremble with indignation.
They initiated a search for Liu Shunyi’s whereabouts.
Meanwhile, Liu Shunyi was incredibly excited, as his worries had vanished completely.
The Grand Dao Golden Book now displayed several new entries:
“Abe Clan (Golden Inferior), Abe Seiten (Top Grade Golden), Senbon Chacha (Golden Inferior), Senbon Matsushita (Golden Inferior), Nichirō Hassha (Golden Secret)! Heavenly God Cult (Golden Secret)!”
