Liu Shunyi, sensing it was time, sought out a desolate location far from civilization.

Eventually, he found a towering snow-capped mountain.

He chose this place for its extreme coldness, which deterred most people from venturing near. In fact, ordinary individuals couldn’t withstand the harsh conditions; they would likely freeze to death halfway up.

However, Liu Shunyi paid no heed to the icy temperatures. After all, his enemies were there to bear any negative effects on his behalf.

Moreover, Liu Shunyi discovered something intriguing. It seemed that he could designate a specific individual to endure the adverse impacts caused by such extreme weather conditions.

Although it felt somewhat futile, it was better than nothing at all.

Two more days passed.

Finally, after reaching the summit,

Liu Shunyi could no longer suppress his cultivation base.

The moment he released the restraint on his cultivation,

the sky transformed dramatically.

Dark clouds loomed heavily over the mountaintop.

Even Liu Shunyi felt that

the Thunder Tribulation seemed equally restrained and ready to burst forth.

As soon as he let go of his cultivation suppression,

“Boom… Boom…”

Before the thunderclouds fully coalesced,

the impatient lightning began to strike.

It descended like a torrential waterfall.

“Holy shit!”

Caught completely off guard, Liu Shunyi was instantly engulfed by the cascade of lightning.

Within him, the condensed False Core shattered immediately.

“Fucking hell!”

Liu Shunyi was stunned.

Did I not even survive the first wave of Thunder Tribulation?

Although it didn’t physically hurt,

damn it!

My False Core is gone now.

Moreover, ascending realms always carries the risk of success or failure.

It was merely the laws of nature, devoid of any malicious intent.

Liu Shunyi struggled momentarily but managed to endure.

Fortunately,

Disability would indeed be detrimental.

Although his False Core was shattered,

Liu Shunyi himself remained unharmed.

“Damn it! As long as I’m not dead, nothing can stop me from forming my Core! Mark my words.”

In desperation, Liu Shunyi emptied his gourd, consuming all the Medicine Pills and medicinal herbs at once.

Then, he attempted to recondense the False Core.

“Boom…”

The thunderous waterfall descended again.

“Crack!”

Once more, Liu Shunyi’s False Core shattered.

“Again!”

“Boom… Crack!”

“Again…”

“Boom…”

“F**k! Today, I won’t let anything stand in my way; I’ll conquer this challenge!”

Driven by madness, Liu Shunyi relentlessly condensed new False Cores.

Each time they shattered, he persisted.

After all, death wasn’t an option for him.

Unfazed, he persisted.

Finally, after nearly three hundred attempts at forming a False Core,

the Thunder Tribulation no longer destroyed it.

For it had become too resilient to be shattered by the lightning.

“Crack~”

At that moment,

the outer shell of the False Core fractured.

A remarkably transparent Golden Core emerged from Liu Shunyi’s body and began circling above his head.

Subsequently, the Golden Core started absorbing and inscribing its unique divine patterns.

“Boom~”

The thunder struck once more.

The Golden Core shattered again.

“Heh heh,” Liu Shunyi chuckled coldly.

“One attempt for learning, two attempts for mastery. Hmph, I won’t lose!”

“Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom…”

After consecutively shattering eighty-one Golden Cores,

the latest formed one proved indestructible to the thunder.

“Hahaha, you can’t kill me! With my ability to form countless Golden Cores, tell me, how could I possibly lose? Ha ha ha…”

Liu Shunyi couldn’t contain his excitement any longer. He stood up, gazing at his radiant Golden Core with wild laughter.

Suddenly, his expression froze.

The Thunder Tribulation began rapidly coalescing into a single entity.

Finally, it coalesced into a colossal giant standing amidst the heavens, gazing down upon Liu Shunyi.

“Fuck me! Is this damn Heavenly Tribulation for real?” Liu Shunyi was utterly stunned.

As he beheld the towering Thunder Giant, Liu Shunyi swiftly swallowed his Golden Core and attempted to flee.

However, abruptly…

The Thunder Giant’s massive hand seized Liu Shunyi effortlessly.

“Holy shit, uh, Mr. Thunder Tribulation, please don’t hold grudges against insignificant beings like me. Let me go, seriously! From now on, I’ll offer incense whenever I Transcend Tribulations!”

“Boom, boom, boom…”

With Liu Shunyi held in one palm, the Thunder Tribulation began striking repeatedly with its other hand, almost as if applauding.

Liu Shunyi screamed in agony.

“Fucking hell, that hurts!”

He was completely shaken this time.

Although he couldn’t die,

he wondered how the Thunder Tribulation managed to make him feel pain.

“Boom, boom, boom…”

The giant’s hand continued pounding relentlessly.

Liu Shunyi felt as though he were being battered between life and death.

“Stop hitting me, seriously, stop! I’m sorry, okay?”

“Boom, boom, boom…”

“Dammit, you’re really asking for it! Pen Master, write down this Thunder Tribulation’s name!”

“Hum…”

At that moment,

the calligraphy brush vibrated, hovering within Liu Shunyi’s mind with its tip shimmering brightly.

“Ding!”

Just as the brush touched the Grand Dao Golden Book, an invisible barrier suddenly intercepted the golden brush, deflecting it and restoring calm once more.

Although unsuccessful,

the thunder calamity giant finally ceased its onslaught.

Not only did it stop,

but it also gently placed Liu Shunyi on a nearby open field.

In utter disbelief, Liu Shunyi watched as the giant knelt down, like arranging a doll, neatly straightening his clothes and smoothing out his hair frazzled by the lightning.

Upon completing this task,

the thunder calamity giant bestowed a smile upon Liu Shunyi before instantly vanishing.

Liu Shunyi stared bewildered at the chaotic aftermath, still reeling from the giant’s actions.

“This…this is fucking a Thunder Tribulation?” He found it hard to believe.

Meanwhile, within Jing Shui City.

Lin Wudao struggled to crawl out of his secret chamber, his face deathly pale and his cultivation base nearly depleted.

Fortunately, he hadn’t been rendered completely useless. However, to withstand this unexpected catastrophe, he had exhausted all his resources.

“Attendants, help me up!” Lin Wudao weakly called out.

A Shadow Guard promptly approached, assisting him.

With trembling hands, Lin Wudao gripped the Shadow Guard tightly.

“Give me any healing and cultivation recovery Medicine Pills you have on you!”

The Shadow Guard was momentarily stunned, feeling as if he were dreaming. His master, asking for Medicine Pills from him? Despite his confusion, the Shadow Guard dared not hesitate.

Lin Wudao hastily swallowed the pills, his complexion improving slightly but still remaining frail.

“We’ve found the culprit?” Lin Wudao asked weakly, his eyes filled with murderous intent.

He was determined to uncover the person behind this treachery. Whoever orchestrated it, using some unknown means, had not only subjected him to unwarranted calamity but also drained his entire fortune.

As thoughts raced through his mind, Lin Wudao coughed up a mouthful of blood – not due to injury, but sheer anger.

The Shadow Guard’s expression turned somewhat complex.

“It’s possible we’ve identified them, but we’re not entirely certain.”

Lin Wudao raised an eyebrow, puzzled.

The Shadow Guard explained, “Based on my investigation, only one individual recently broke through to the Golden Core Realm here, and they haven’t Transcended Tribulation yet.”

Instantly alert, Lin Wudao demanded, “Who is it?”

“The Qinglian Sect,” replied the Shadow Guard, “an elder named Zhao Gou!”
