EX: 14/20

Liu Shunyi was bewildered.

He couldn’t quite understand it.

Why could he hear their telepathic communication?

“Hmm?”

Suddenly, Liu Shunyi realized something.

The voices seemed to originate from the purple-patterned calligraphy brush nearby.

Liu Shunyi was instantly speechless.

“Wait, after eating my book, did you gain this ability? And why do I need to be close by just to hear your damn telepathy?”

Liu Shunyi felt that this object might be rather useless.

What’s the point of this fucking thing?

Hold on.

Maybe there is some use after all.

They mentioned that members of the Heavenly God Cult are currently within Illusory Moon Valley.

Could he not warn others beforehand about the Heavenly God Cult’s presence?

With this thought, Liu Shunyi prepared to discreetly leave.

Shi Changxin and the crow glanced at Liu Shunyi’s departing figure but paid him no further attention.

“However, I must admit, I’m curious. Just how many clones do you have?” Shi Changxin asked, looking at the crow perched on his shoulder.

The crow chuckled. “As long as I wish, I can create countless clones!”

A hint of apprehension flickered in Shi Changxin’s eyes.

The more Shi Changxin learned about the Heavenly God Cult, the more mysterious it seemed to him. Their ambitions were truly staggering, almost beyond imagination.

Take the River of Forgetfulness Secret Realm as an example. Its existence spanned countless years, always under the control of Qin Province’s nine major sects. No one had ever dared to challenge this arrangement, fearing the enmity of all nine sects.

Yet, the Heavenly God Cult aimed not only to completely assimilate but also to ultimately claim the entire River of Forgetfulness Secret Realm for themselves. This ambition was astonishing.

However, if not for the sudden strange occurrence within the secret realm, the Heavenly God Cult might have succeeded.

Despite this, Shi Changxin remained curious about something else. “Why is the Heavenly God Cult fervently harvesting secret realms and aggressively seizing earth veins from other sects? What are they trying to achieve?”

The crow’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Some questions should remain unanswered. Knowing too much may not be in your best interest, even though I intend for you to become a core disciple of our Heavenly God Cult!”

Shi Changxin promptly closed his mouth, understanding the implications.

Certain matters were clear to him.

“Woo-woo-woo…” Suddenly, a series of bird calls echoed from an unknown direction.

The sound was unnervingly shrill and stomach-churning, reminiscent of a tormented soul’s lament or a wailing infant.

Yet, upon hearing this noise, the crow seemed rather content, even momentarily entranced.

Finally, the cries ceased.

With excitement, the crow declared, “Let’s go, Celestial Sun Sect!”

Without further questioning, Shi Changxin immediately set off alongside Liu Shunyi.

Liu Shunyi’s objective was clear.

After leaving the alleyway, he assumed the appearance of an elderly farmer once again and headed directly towards Illusory Moon Valley.

Along the way, Liu Shunyi spread rumors indiscriminately.

“Have you heard? The Heavenly God Cult raided the River of Forgetfulness Secret Realm, and they’re planning something even bigger – capturing Cultivators from Qin Province to concoct blood pills!”

“Is that true? How audacious can the Heavenly God Cult be?”

Naturally, some questioned him.

“But Illusory Moon Valley is a crucial spirit medicine area for the Illusory Moon Palace. It seems unlikely that members of the Heavenly God Cult would hide there.”

Liu Shunyi shook his head.

“Why not?! In our village, there’s a fellow named Er Niu who was captured by the Heavenly God Cult and eventually became one of their disciples.”

“Just a few days ago, Er Niu returned, claiming he had escaped from Illusory Moon Valley. He hastily fled with his family during the night!”

“What do you think about this situation, could it be true?”

Upon hearing these words,

everyone felt a sudden surge of concern.

At that moment,

A refined and composed young man approached Liu Shunyi, bowing respectfully.

“Esteemed elder, I am Li Mu, a disciple of Illusory Moon Valley. May I ask if what you just mentioned is indeed true?”

“A disciple from Illusory Moon Palace?” Liu Shunyi hastily shook his head. “I don’t know for certain, but our village’s Er Niu was indeed a disciple of the Heavenly God Cult, claiming to have come from Illusory Moon Valley. Consider that carefully!”

Li Mu furrowed his brow but still managed a smile. “Many thanks, esteemed elder!” With those words, he quickly departed, eager to verify these claims.

The crowd was taken aback upon hearing the young man identify himself as Li Mu. He was none other than the Holy Son of the Illusory Moon Palace, renowned for his power and fame, said to be on par with Ji Suying herself. There were even rumors suggesting that Li Mu would one day become the Sect Leader of Illusory Moon Palace.

Encountering such a prominent Heaven’s Chosen left them astounded. Moreover, their shock deepened when they realized that Li Mu believed the story.

However, when the villagers turned back to inquire further details from the old man, they discovered he had vanished without a trace.

After relaying this information to Li Mu, Liu Shunyi swiftly headed towards Illusory Moon Valley.

His primary objective was to assess the cultivation bases of the Heavenly God Cult members hidden there.

If their levels were not too high,

he intended to charge in and wreak havoc, killing indiscriminately.

Upon learning that most of the Heavenly God Cult consisted of minor adversaries, Liu Shunyi had already mentally sentenced them to death.

Therefore,

whenever he encountered any, he would undoubtedly eliminate them.

In his current guise as an elderly man,

it made sense for him to proceed cautiously.

Naturally,

if he faced a Golden Core realm powerhouse,

there would be no point in fighting; he’d simply flee.

The odds of victory against such a formidable opponent were slim.

A Golden Core Cultivator transcends earthly bounds, wielding Third-Rank Magic Spells and possessing a Life Source Magic Treasure – all beyond Liu Shunyi’s capabilities.

Despite having numerous trump cards himself,

one must consider that others may also hold similar advantages.

Engaging a Golden Core Cultivator at Foundation Establishment is impractical.

Moreover,

Liu Shunyi couldn’t risk exposing his true abilities,

as it could jeopardize his cover.

Thus,

Liu Shunyi patiently waited for the right moment.

One day, while Liu Shunyi was deep in cultivation, he suddenly jolted awake.

Instantaneously, he witnessed a torrent of Sword Qi descending from the sky.

“Fuck!”

Before Liu Shunyi could react, his body was pierced by the relentless sword rain.

“Holy shit! Wait, how am I not dead?!” Liu Shunyi was stunned.

In that moment, he hastily glanced at the Grand Dao Golden Book!

At once, Liu Shunyi realized what had occurred.

Within the pages of the Grand Dao Golden Book, the names of Shi Changxin, Chen Beiping, Nalang Buzhu, and Qing Teng were continuously fading and then brightening again, flickering like waves of sound.

Of course, this wasn’t the most crucial aspect.

The key point was the issue with his fluctuating cultivation base, which seemed to be resolving itself instantaneously. Moreover, his physical strength significantly increased.

“Wow, did you just fix the bug where enemies instantly killed me or what?!” Liu Shunyi exclaimed, somewhat shocked.

Despite his surprise, Liu Shunyi swiftly chose to make a run for it.

However, what Liu Shunyi didn’t realize was that while he remained unscathed, his enemies were experiencing immense discomfort.
