Thanks to My Enemy, I Become Immortal Emperor - Chapter 2
On the day each month when salaries were distributed,
Shen Kaiyang experienced his greatest joy.
For no other reason than this:
The wages of all servant disciples passed through his hands.
During such times,
Shen Kaiyang would invariably descend the mountain
for an indulgent night at the Springtipsy Pavilion.
Today was no exception.
Even before reaching the pavilion,
the girls outside eagerly greeted him from afar.
“Aiyo, Master Shen, it’s been ages! We’ve missed you terribly!”
Their voices, sugary sweet,
made one’s heart and body melt with pleasure.
Shen Kaiyang felt exceptionally thrilled.
“Come, come, give me five tonight!” he exclaimed.
With those words, Shen Kaiyang tossed his Storage Bag to the madam.
She caught it, visibly excited.
“Certainly, right away! Please step inside, sir!”
***************
After enjoying their meal and refreshments,
Shen Kaiyang staggered to open his room door.
Inside, five exquisitely dressed women awaited him with seductive gazes.
“Come quickly, Master Shen!”
“Do come, I’m starving for you~”
Shen Kaiyang burst out laughing.
“Yes, yes, just recently, I learned a new Cultivation Technique! Tonight, let me thoroughly demonstrate it to you all!”
With that, Shen Kaiyang lunged forward.
“Aiyo!”
In the next moment, Shen Kaiyang was utterly bewildered.
An inexplicable wave of exhaustion washed over him, rendering him unable to move.
“Master Shen, w-what’s wrong?” the women asked, genuinely concerned.
Shen Kaiyang waved them off.
“It’s nothing, don’t worry!”
Immediately following this, he consumed a Medicine Pill.
Instantly, his strength returned.
“Alright then, my little darlings… hmmph…”
Just as Shen Kaiyang began to regain vigor, his body suddenly went limp again.
“What the hell is going on?” Shen Kaiyang was stunned.
He hastily took another Medicine Pill but refrained from engaging with the women this time.
As expected, moments later, that damned sense of fatigue reappeared once more.
“Am I cursed or something?” Shen Kaiyang refused to believe it could be so.
He took yet another pill, but instead, each dose left him feeling increasingly drained.
“This, fucking hell, what’s happening? Why do I feel like I’ve plowed dozens of acres of land?”
Panicking, Shen Kaiyang lost all interest in staying there.
Continuously consuming pills, he madly sprinted back towards the Green Lotus Sect.
The five women were left dumbfounded.
“Is, is Young Master Shen really so feeble?”
“Just one touch, and he’s already gasping for breath?” They exchanged glances before bursting into mocking laughter.
***************
Upon returning to his sect, Shen Kaiyang couldn’t help but let out a terrified scream.
His meridians were tearing apart frantically, and cracks began spreading across his skin like a network of fissures.
Blood instantly soaked through his garments.
Terrified beyond belief, he hastily rushed to his cousin’s quarters.
“Cousin, save me!”
With those words, Shen Kaiyang collapsed into unconsciousness.

Early the next morning.
Liu Shunyi gazed at Shen Kaiyang’s still dim name, feeling somewhat melancholic.
However, after studying it yesterday, he had roughly deduced the significance of the name’s glow.
A bright name indicated that the person was in optimal condition.
A dim name suggested they were likely not in good shape.
Yesterday, Shen Kaiyang’s name flickered intermittently, presumably indicating that he was consuming medicine pills to recover his state.
Unfortunately now, Shen Kaiyang’s condition remained unchanged and hadn’t improved.
With Shen Kaiyang’s state unresolved, Liu Shunyi dared not overexert himself too much.
Since any adverse conditions written on the Grand Dao Golden Book would instantly transfer to Shen Kaiyang, Liu Shunyi genuinely feared for Shen Kaiyang’s well-being.
“Ahh, who would believe this? I’m actually worried about my enemy! Bloody hell!” Liu Shunyi sighed helplessly.
His only option was to seek leave from the Servant Steward.
***************
Shortly after, Liu Shunyi arrived at the Servant Steward’s office.
The Steward sat in his chamber with a book covering his face, hands crossed over his chest.
Liu Shunyi cleared his throat and respectfully bowed.
“Sir Steward, I have some matters to attend to and would like to request a day off!”
Upon hearing this, the Steward removed the book from his face and glanced up at Liu Shunyi.
“Hmph, you’ve been here long enough; still unaware of the rules?”
Feeling helpless, Liu Shunyi pleaded, “Sir Steward, could I possibly owe the time for now? As you know, Senior Brother Shen visited again yesterday.”
The Steward once more placed the book over his face.
“Get lost!”
“Sigh, alright!”
Daring not to utter another word, Liu Shunyi turned and swiftly left.
Only after stepping outside the door did he silently curse under his breath.
As soon as he noticed the Steward looking his way again, Liu Shunyi quickly plastered a smile on his face before hurrying away.
***************
Upon returning to the courtyard, Liu Shunyi was once again summoned by the head servant.
He stared dumbfounded at the mountain of clothes piled before him.
“Within three days, you must wash all these disciple uniforms.”
Liu Shunyi’s mouth opened in disbelief.
“This much? By myself?”
The head servant chuckled derisively.
“What? Are you unwilling?”
As he spoke, his Qi Refining Fourth Layer cultivation base radiated openly!
Liu Shunyi hastily smiled and replied,
“Aiya, of course not! I’m more than willing, absolutely thrilled!”
The head servant snorted coldly.
“Well, at least you know your place!”
“And remember, they must be washed within three days. Fail to complete the task, and you know the consequences!”
Liu Shunyi nodded fervently.
“I understand, understood!”
On the surface, he wore a smile, but internally, he seethed with frustration!
‘Just wait, you son of a bitch! One day, I’ll make sure to write your name in that Grand Dao Golden Book too!’
Hardly had Liu Shunyi finished speaking when his Grand Dao Golden Book vibrated once more.
A new page turned, and the brush descended again.
“Cui Hao!”
Liu Shunyi blinked, utterly perplexed.
Damn it.
How did I trigger this again?
Wait.
Liu Shunyi glanced at the pile of clothes and suddenly had a suspicion.
“Is it only when my life is threatened that conditions are met to write in the little book?”
“And by silently thinking his name while writing it down?”
Liu Shunyi wasn’t entirely sure, but it didn’t matter.
Finally, someone else can bear the brunt of negativity for me.
With renewed determination, Liu Shunyi entered another frenzy mode.
His current stamina, combined with his Qi Refining Second Layer cultivation base, allowed him to wash those clothes relentlessly without concern for consequences.
The effect was remarkable.
Three days’ worth of laundry, Liu Shunyi managed to complete in just one day and night.
Then, he noticed something intriguing.
This damn head servant’s physical endurance is truly impressive. It took me an entire day and night of relentless work to exhaust Cui Hao’s name glow completely.
In comparison, Shen Kaiyang seems like a lazy bum now!
Can this thing actually detect other people’s constitution as well?
Moreover, despite not sleeping, I feel incredibly energetic!
Wow, even my fatigue has vanished—this cheat is seriously powerful, huh?
However!
This damn hunger is not considered a negative condition!
“Fucking hell, I’m starving!”
Liu Shunyi hastily headed to the dining hall for food.
Unbeknownst to Liu Shunyi, just as he left the servants’ quarters…
Cui Hao’s hand tightly gripped the door frame.
With dark circles under his eyes, hunched over and pale-faced, he staggered out of his room, utterly bewildered.
“Why do I feel like…I haven’t slept at all? And how come after waking up, my body feels so achy and weak?”
