At Green Lotus Sect…

In a secluded courtyard of the servant disciples.

An Outer Sect disciple, dressed in his uniform, weighed the Storage Bag in his hand with satisfaction.

“Good job. Double payment next month.”

Liu Shunyi grimaced but dared not protest.

“Yes, Junior Brother understands,” he replied reluctantly.

The Outer Sect disciple snorted coldly and turned to leave.

After the disciple departed, Liu Shunyi’s expression grew somber.

If only he could go back, he’d never pull all-nighters again.

Damn it! Dying suddenly and reincarnating into this cultivation world is no place for humans.

A lawless realm where power reigns supreme – it’s fucking hell.

As a servant, his daily tasks were even more grueling than being a corporate drone in his previous life.

Most of his monthly Spirit Stone earnings were exploited by the Outer Sect.

Resisting? Forget about it.

Those Outer Sect disciples were at least in the Qi Refining Fifth Layer.

With his measly Qi Refining First Layer, resist? Was he tired of living?

What further irked Liu Shunyi was:

Why must reincarnated individuals always have Mixed Spirit Roots?

Not that having a Mixed Spirit Root was ideal, but…

But seriously, can this golden finger at least provide some explanation?

This “Grand Dao Golden Book” appearing in his mind sounds impressive, but how am I supposed to use it?

Liu Shunyi’s frustration grew.

“Dammit! If you don’t start being useful soon, I’m demanding a refund!” he exclaimed.

Unexpectedly, the Grand Dao Golden Book finally reacted.

It slowly unfurled, revealing a blank heavenly script page.

Then, from the sky descended a golden brush.

As the brush touched down,

it swiftly inscribed three words on the Grand Dao Golden Book:

“Shen Kaiyang!”

The name belonged to that Outer Sect disciple from earlier.

Not only was he Liu Shunyi’s enemy, but the damn name also seemed to radiate with grandeur!

Liu Shunyi stared, bewildered.

“What the hell is this supposed to mean? Writing my enemy’s name there, what’s the point?”

Despite pondering for quite some time, Liu Shunyi couldn’t make sense of it.

Eventually, he reluctantly gave up, feeling utterly disappointed.

There was nothing else he could do.

A servant disciple had work to attend to.

Liu Shunyi rubbed his temples, picked up the yoke pole, and headed out to fetch water.

Frustrated, he noticed the ten-foot-tall water tank was empty again, fucking hell.

Liu Shunyi felt extremely agitated.

“Just filled yesterday and already empty? Are those Outer Sect disciples generating electricity or building nuclear bombs with this water?” he grumbled irritably.

But what could he do? He continued fetching water.

Such was the fate of a servant disciple.

However, amidst his chores, Liu Shunyi noticed something remarkable. Normally after three trips carrying water, he would be too exhausted to move. Yet today, even after five or six trips, he didn’t feel the slightest bit fatigued.

What was going on?

Once Liu Shunyi had fully refilled the water tank, he quickly assessed his body.

“Hm?”

To his surprise, not only did he feel no fatigue, but he also sensed that his physical strength had significantly increased.

“How is this possible?” Liu Shunyi was puzzled.

Suddenly, he observed something unusual. In the Grand Dao Golden Book, Shen Kaiyang’s name, once brilliantly shining, now appeared somewhat dimmed.

Liu Shunyi was utterly perplexed.

“Could it be…” A thought suddenly struck him, but he remained uncertain.

To test his hypothesis, Liu Shunyi began performing exercises.

Push-ups.

Long-distance running.

Squats.

Even attempting to break stones with his chest.

As a result, he discovered that surprisingly, nothing adverse happened to him at all. Instead, Shen Kaiyang’s name on the Grand Dao Golden Book continued to grow increasingly dimmer.

Not only that, but the fading radiance seemed to be directly benefiting Liu Shunyi himself.

“Woah, seriously?”

It dawned on Liu Shunyi:

“All my negative conditions…are being transferred to my enemy?”

This cheat is truly fucking insane, isn’t it?

With this realization, Liu Shunyi had a bold idea.

“If I don’t have to suffer these negative effects myself!”

After completing his daily tasks, Liu Shunyi decided to focus on physical training.

He immediately began to rigorously train his body.

With the Outer Sect Senior Brother bearing all negative effects for him, there was no holding back. As long as he didn’t literally kill himself during training, he would push it to the absolute limit.

Of course, Liu Shunyi couldn’t truly go that far without caution. He constantly monitored Shen Kaiyang’s name on the Grand Dao Golden Book, waiting until it lost its glow before stopping.

Liu Shunyi wasn’t sure how exactly the Grand Dao Golden Book triggered these effects, so until he understood it better, he couldn’t risk ruining Shen Kaiyang completely.

After completing his intense physical training, Liu Shunyi felt rejuvenated and invigorated. His physique had become noticeably stronger, at least twice as robust as before.

Without exaggeration, among all the servant disciples now, his physical strength undoubtedly placed him above many of his peers.

Feeling elated, Liu Shunyi took a refreshing bath. With nothing else pressing, he entered his room and started cultivating Qi.

As he practiced cultivation, Liu Shunyi was once again astounded.

“Wait, why do I feel like my perception of spiritual energy from heaven and earth has significantly improved?”

This chapter isn’t over yet! Please click “Next Page” to continue reading.

Liu Shunyi felt uncertain but decided to directly attempt absorbing heaven and earth’s spiritual energy.

As he began, Liu Shunyi was instantly astonished.

The process of absorbing and refining the spiritual energy this time felt remarkably easier than before. Moreover, his speed of refinement had doubled compared to earlier.

With a sudden surge, “Boom!”

Liu Shunyi effortlessly reached the initial stage of Qi Refining Second Layer.

Stunned, he quickly took out a testing stone to check his Spirit Root.

“It still shows Mixed Spirit Root, no mistake.”

“But my cultivation speed is at least comparable to someone with a low-grade Spirit Root!”

Liu Shunyi pondered deeply.

Suddenly, it dawned on him.

“I have a Mixed Spirit Root, that’s true, but Shen Kaiyang has a damn low-grade Spirit Root!”

“Could it be that by writing an enemy’s name in the Grand Dao Golden Book, not only can I transfer negative effects onto them, but also share their Spirit Root quality?”

Wow, incredible.

Liu Shunyi was utterly shocked.

Then, without delay…

Liu Shunyi seized this opportunity.

He embarked on a frenzied cultivation spree.

Endless streams of heaven and earth’s spiritual energy were absorbed by Liu Shunyi at an increasingly intense pace.

Caution and restraint? Nonexistent.

As he noticed Shen Kaiyang’s name lighting up once more,

there was no room for hesitation.

He pushed his cultivation to its limits.

During this intense training session,

Liu Shunyi’s meridians underwent relentless destruction

and subsequent reconstruction.

All while closely monitoring Shen Kaiyang’s name,

whenever it dimmed, Liu Shunyi paused;

as soon as it brightened again, he resumed his frantic cultivation.

This cycle repeated continuously,

bringing immense satisfaction to Liu Shunyi.

His cultivation base surged wildly with each iteration.

Eventually, when Shen Kaiyang’s name began to fade slowly,

Liu Shunyi stopped abruptly.

Simultaneously, he fervently prayed within himself:

“You must not die, just hold on a little longer. At least until I figure out how my golden finger can inscribe someone else’s name, you have to stay safe.”
