Chapter 30: The Greedy and Malicious Little Nanny 8
Lu Chengjun lowered his gaze.
Xie Rong’s lips were strikingly red, glistening with moisture as if someone had just licked them.
Yet his eyes held such innocence, seeming to genuinely ask only about the color.
Lu Chengjun smiled faintly, pulling a silk handkerchief from his pocket to gently wipe away the remnants of ‘lipstick’ from Xie Rong’s lips.
Just as he was about to speak, intermittent piano notes suddenly drifted down from the second floor.
Lu Chengjun narrowed his eyes slightly, withdrawing his hand. “My brother has a terrible temper. This nanny agreement isn’t really suitable for you.”
Xie Rong grew wary.
What did Lu Chengjun mean by this? Was he regretting offering double the salary?
He should have known – the older the rich person, the stingier they were!
“I’ve prepared a new contract for you,” Lu Chengjun said softly, folding the handkerchief that had wiped Xie Rong’s mouth. “Come inside and take a look.”
Half an hour later, the car parked outside the villa departed.
Xie Rong hummed a cheerful tune as he climbed to the second floor, clearly in high spirits. When he pushed open the door, he unusually offered a pleasant expression to the person playing piano inside.
He walked over and sat directly on the piano keys, producing a discordant jumble of notes.
Lu Chengjin’s hands stilled on the keys, turning his head to look at him.
“I have good news for you,” Xie Rong reached out, brushing aside the other’s overly long bangs to gently stroke the unhealed wound on his forehead. “Your brother says that after sending you abroad next year, he’ll get engaged to me.”
“His money will all be mine from now on,” Xie Rong didn’t care why a man he’d only met once would want to marry him – perhaps this was just how wealthy people behaved, always drawn to what demeaned them.
He only knew one thing: once he signed that new engagement contract, he and his grandmother would never have to scavenge through trash again. He could seize half the inheritance that rightfully belonged to the protagonist, collude with the villainous older brother, and become even more wicked than the antagonist in the original story!
Only by being more depraved, more detestable to the protagonist, and causing the protagonist more suffering could Xie Rong feel that thrill of excitement that nearly brought him to climax.
But Xie Rong soon thought of something else. He thrust his fingers into Lu Chengjin’s hair, viciously grabbing and yanking the other’s head toward him. “After the new year, obediently get lost abroad. Don’t you dare try to claim the Lu family fortune – it all belongs to me!”
Lu Chengjin’s dark eyes watched him calmly, unmoved by the provocation, seeming completely indifferent to the half of the Lu inheritance that should have been his. Only the corner of his mouth lifted in mockery.
“Did you hear what I said?” Xie Rong pressed closer to his face, demanding fiercely.
Lu Chengjin slowly nodded.
Xie Rong released him, kicking his leg. “That’s more like it. I’m hungry – go make food.”
Lu Chengjin silently left the room.
How malicious, Xie Rong thought – what protagonist, what young master? Still just lowborn trash meant to serve others.
He lay down on the soft large bed, burying his face and repeatedly rubbing his tender white cheeks against the pillow.
Soon this bed would be his, this pillow would be his!
In the dead of night, Xie Rong was awakened by the raging storm outside. He rubbed his eyes and sat up, the loose collar of his sleep robe slipping off his shoulder.
He switched on the small bedside lamp, startled by the motionless figure crouched beside his bed.
The tall man knelt by his bedside, dark eyes fixed unblinkingly on him, watching for who knew how long.
Xie Rong grabbed a pillow and threw it at him, but the man caught his wrist.
“Xie… Rong.” The man suddenly spoke.
His voice was hoarse, strained and halting, as if he hadn’t spoken in a very long time.
But Xie Rong didn’t pay close attention; he never really listened to what these men had to say.
President Lu? Xie Rong blinked.
The man neither confirmed nor denied it.
Xie Rong leaned in, wrapping his arms around the man’s neck. You scared me.
He had learned this from watching TV this afternoon—he’d heard that wealthy men fell for this kind of act.
You didn’t seem so timid when you were bullying my brother, Lu Chengjin placed a hand on his waist, his scorching fingertips leaving marks on the young man’s lower back even through the thin fabric of his robe.
Foolish little nanny, not even bothering to figure out who he was before eagerly throwing himself into his arms. He must have done the same in the red-light district, casually leaning into men’s embraces to swindle them out of their money.
But perhaps this was for the best.
Hadn’t Xie Rong tried to slander him and ruin his reputation, only to fail? Now, Lu Chengjin would repay him in kind. He wanted to see how this little nanny, after being kissed rotten by other men, could ever become the matriarch of the Lu family.
A cold, pent-up gloom had been gathering in Lu Chengjin’s eyes these past few days. He lifted his hand and gripped Xie Rong’s chin. To his surprise, the expected disgust of kissing a man never came. The moment he leaned in, the fragrant scent carried by the little nanny’s breath made his chest burn with an inexplicable heat.
He lowered his head and captured Xie Rong’s lips.
So this venomous mouth could be so soft, after all.
He had been ruthlessly sharp-tongued toward Lu Chengjin, yet here he was, putting on a coy, hypocritical act for his brother.
Lu Chengjin tightened his grip, trapping Xie Rong firmly in his embrace. His fingers, already marked with red imprints, dug in uncontrollably as he kissed him with a fierce, frantic lack of finesse.
He devoured every trace of moisture from Xie Rong’s mouth.
Xie Rong’s eyes reddened at the corners, glistening with unshed tears. Dazed and struggling to breathe, it wasn’t until the base of his tongue ached from the rough treatment that he finally snapped back to reality.
He shoved the man away, his slap landing hard enough to turn the man’s face aside.
Stupid dog, are you trying to suffocate me? The habit of cursing Lu Yi from his past life had carried over. Only after the words left his mouth did Xie Rong remember that the man before him was his future cash cow. Even if he wanted to curse him out, he should at least wait until the money was in his hands. Annoyed, he added, You hurt me, you know that?
Lu Chengjin responded with a low hum, his eyelids flushed red as he stared intently at Xie Rong. He spoke each word slowly, though with noticeably more confidence than before, A few more times, and it won’t hurt anymore.
No need for that. I’ll teach you.
It was just kissing, after all. In his past life, he’d already mastered it for the sake of absorbing Yang energy.
Xie Rong parted his crimson lips, revealing a hint of soft pink tongue, guiding the man on how to please him comfortably.
When the kiss ended, the man’s eyes were still red, his large hand leaving several marks on Xie Rong’s thigh as he stammered out a question, Who… taught you that?
Could it have been those disreputable men from the red-light district?
Xie Rong found the question utterly baffling. Definitely not you.
And rightly so.
No matter who it was, it didn’t matter. His goal had always been to take revenge on this venomous little nanny—to kiss his mouth into ruin, to ensure he could never become the matriarch of the Lu family, leaving him to cry alone beneath the covers.
It had never occurred to him why, out of all the ways to exact revenge, he had chosen this one. But then again, Xie Rong had been the one to seduce him first.
Lu Chengjin gently traced Xie Rong’s swollen lips, his tone ambiguous as he said, Sleep. I’ll come see you again tomorrow night.
He rose and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.
His cheek still stung with a burning heat. Lu Chengjin lifted his hand and slowly ran his fingers over the slap mark.
Little nanny, just you wait.
