Chapter 24: The Greedy and Malicious Little Nanny 2

After tossing the knee-high socks, Xie Rong half-squinted his eyes, discreetly observing the other’s reaction.

He watched as Young Master Lu reached up to pull the sock off his shoulder, clenched it tightly in his hand until his knuckles cracked, then threw the crumpled sock into the trash can.

[Congratulations, Host! The protagonist feels humiliated, Pain Value +5!] The White Slime bounced on his shoulder.

Xie Rong stood up, barefoot on the soft carpet, and walked unhurriedly to the piano. He pressed his right hand on the keys, producing a discordant noise.

Pick up my sock, or else… Xie Rong curved his eyes innocently, smiling at him, I’ll smash your piano and tell your brother that you don’t want to play anymore, so you destroyed it.

He had long since learned that for this self-isolated protagonist, this piano was the only lifeline through which he could vent his inner turmoil.

Xie Rong flexed his fingers slightly, recklessly pressing random keys.

Lu Chengjin suddenly grabbed his wrist, lifted his eyelids to reveal youthful yet already deep and handsome features, and stared at him unblinkingly.

The little nanny before him wore only a pilled sweater, with a red mark from cheap knee-high socks visible on his slender, beautifully shaped calves. He wasn’t even wearing pants.

The scent on his body was even stronger than that of the stretched-out knee-high sock. He lay casually on someone else’s bed, like a young entertainer from the red-light district who served customers in unconventional ways.

If his brother truly wanted to hire someone to care for him and help him study peacefully at home, why would he choose a little nanny who took off his socks and played such tricks the moment he entered his room?

Suppressing his cold anger, Lu Chengjin moved the little nanny’s hand away from his piano.

Then he silently bent down and picked up the wrinkled knee-high sock from the trash can.

It’s filthy. Remember to wash it clean, Xie Rong patted his face and commanded naturally, or I’ll tell President Lu that you stole my sock. After all, you’re mute—whatever I say goes.

Rich people like you care most about reputation, right? You wouldn’t want anyone to know about your scandal of stealing the nanny’s socks, would you? Xie Rong curled his lips maliciously.

Lu Chengjin pressed his lips together, his hand clutching the white knee-high sock tightening as if restraining himself.

You don’t have to wash it, but you won’t get any dinner tonight either, Xie Rong continued with a smiling face.

But how could a pampered young master know how to do laundry?

Sure enough, the already stretched-out white knee-high sock tore after just a few rough scrubs.

Xie Rong was furious—this sock was bought by his grandmother from the most expensive street stall after she collected and sold trash to earn money!

You did that on purpose! I was kindly teaching you household chores. If a mute like you can’t even do housework, who would want you in the future!

The bathroom floor was slippery, and Lu Chengjin stumbled as the little nanny, a head shorter than him, pushed him to the ground.

Xie Rong sat on his firm waist, hands clawing wildly as he grabbed his shirt collar, ready to continue lecturing him when a knock suddenly came from outside the room.

Xie Rong stuffed the freshly ruined knee-high sock into Lu Chengjin’s mouth, took off the other one to bind his hands, glared at him fiercely, then stood up to answer the door, blocking the entrance.

Assistant Chen, why are you back again?

Assistant Chen was also slightly surprised. Mr. Xie, why are you in the young master’s room?

I just finished putting him to bed, Xie Rong lied without a hint of shame, smoothing the long hair over his shoulder. If there’s anything, you can just tell me directly.

Assistant Chen lowered his gaze, taking in the sight of the little nanny’s pink-tinged knees and round, adorable toes.

Does taking care of the young master require taking off socks and leather shoes?

But he remembered President Lu’s phone call and decided to turn a blind eye.

He smiled slightly and said, It’s like this: ten minutes ago, Professor Jiang sent a text asking about the young master’s appointment time for the next class, but he didn’t receive a reply, so I had to come check.

You’re quite dedicated, Xie Rong suddenly leaned in and whispered conspiratorially, How much does President Lu pay you? Is it enough to buy that crystal chandelier?

The little nanny seemed particularly fond of the dazzlingly bright chandelier in the villa’s first-floor living room, looking up at him with those moist, heterochromatic eyes, filled with a light as brilliant as the crystal chandelier.

Assistant Chen answered truthfully, If I save up for a few years, it might be enough.

Save up for a few years? Upon hearing this, Xie Rong immediately gave him a disdainful look and stopped trying to cozy up to him.

So he’s a poor guy!

He was already poor enough himself; he didn’t want to hang out with someone even poorer.

Assistant Chen was taken aback for a moment, then chuckled. Please let the young master know, Mr. Xie. I’ll be going now.

After the person left, Xie Rong closed the door and walked back to the bathroom.

Lu Chengjin had the torn thigh-high sock stuffed in his mouth, his bangs messy and stuck to his forehead, his narrow crimson eyes fixed on him, cold and devoid of any warmth.

Xie Rong smiled.

He sauntered over unhurriedly, crouched down, and slowly pulled out the thigh-high sock soaked with Lu Chengjin’s saliva. Look at my memory—how could I forget? A mute doesn’t need the extra step of having his mouth stuffed.

Lu Chengjin’s chest heaved violently as he glared coldly at him. Because of his autism, even when furious, he couldn’t utter a word.

Xie Rong glanced at his bound hands but didn’t untie him. Instead, he stood up, walked out of the bathroom, and wandered around the room. His eyes lit up instantly when they swept over the row of clothes and accessories hanging in the transparent wardrobe.

He walked over, opened the wardrobe, and slipped a gemstone ring onto each of his ten fingers—all of them the wrong size. His face flushed with excitement.

He licked his lips, sat on the carpet, and admired them for a few minutes before running back to the door, taking down the small crossbody bag he had brought, and stuffing all the gemstone rings from his fingers into it.

Who wanted that mute to ruin his socks? All of these were his now!

Lu Chengjin bit down on the white thigh-high sock tied around his wrist, yanked it off, and slowly stood up from the bathroom floor, watching coldly as the little nanny snatched all his rings and hid them in his own shabby little crossbody bag.

After taking the rings, he still wasn’t satisfied and set his sights on the other things in the wardrobe, pressing his face against the glass with shining eyes.

Lu Chengjin showed no emotion on his face, standing by the door, his eyes dark and cold beneath his messy bangs, silently watching the slender figure.

He wanted to see just how insatiably greedy this little nanny could be.

Xie Rong opened the wardrobe door, climbed inside, and closed it behind him.

But this glass cabinet door was transparent, with lights inside illuminating the clothes. Xie Rong sat inside the wardrobe, fingers pinching the hem of his old sweater, slowly lifting it to reveal a narrow waist without an ounce of excess fat. Further up, a pair of delicate shoulder blades poised as if ready to take flight.

Eager to try on these haute couture gowns he could never afford in his lifetime, he quickly discarded the sweater into a corner, exposing his entire snow-white back.

Through the glass cabinet door, he appeared like a treasured collection preserved within the wardrobe.

Lu Chengjin walked over, expressionlessly fastened the wardrobe lock, then crouched down. His fingertip pressed against the little nanny’s shoulder blade through the cold glass door, tapping it gently.
