Suddenly Became a Boy – What Should I Do? - Chapter 73.3
After a heated discussion, to ensure fairness, traditional sports competitions were excluded as well. The final events were set as a three-round, best-of-three format featuring Drop the Handkerchief, Musical Chairs, and Red Light, Green Light.
Childlike, wholesome, and perfectly suited for an elementary school setting, these games promised fun and fitness for everyone.

Meanwhile, Zhang Jianguo, despite his determination, was quickly reminded of reality. No matter how early he had entered this situation, the only response he received was the cold, merciless chant, “Reset. Reset.”
Admitting defeat with grace, Zhang Jianguo gave the couple a nod before dramatically waving the white towel he always carried on his shoulder. “I forfeit!” he declared.
Lin Xin, still mid-round in Red Light, Green Light, immediately abandoned his frozen pose. He sprinted toward Cheng Shiyin, who had been sitting on her makeshift throne in the middle of the field, patiently waiting for him.
“I missed you again,” Lin Xin said as he scooped her up effortlessly, spinning her in circles with pure joy.
Cheng Shiyin laughed, playfully tapping his arm and drawing out her words in a faux-pouting tone, “Put me dooown!” Though her feet returned to the ground, the smiles on both their faces remained radiant.
In addition to earning Cheng Shiyin’s affections yet again, Lin Xin walked away with a “championship medal.” It was a prize that delighted him even more. Handcrafted by the kids from yellow construction paper, it was clumsily labeled with crooked handwriting, “Boyfriend of Cheng Shiyin Award.”
What could possibly be better than this?
Bowing slightly, Lin Xin lowered his head so Cheng Shiyin could easily drape the medal around his neck. As she placed it, her eyes caught the messy hairs on the back of his neck. Unable to resist, she gave them a quick ruffle before letting go.
Caught red-handed, Cheng Shiyin’s guilty hand was swiftly seized by Lin Xin. Pulling her close, he wrapped her in his arms and planted a gentle kiss on her lips—one, two, three seconds.
The teachers around them scrambled in panic, wishing they each had eight arms to cover the eyes of every child present. Two hands per teacher simply weren’t enough!
When Lin Xin finally let go, he held Cheng Shiyin’s hand firmly, delivering an over-the-top acceptance speech. “First of all, I’d like to thank my mother and father. Without them, I wouldn’t be here, and I wouldn’t have met the love of my life.”
Anyone unaware of the context might have thought he’d just won an Oscar.
“I also want to thank all my teachers and friends for their guidance and support throughout my life,” Lin Xin continued dramatically. “And of course, the person I’m most grateful for is Cheng Shiyin, my beloved. If it weren’t for her trust—”
Just as Lin Xin was about to wrap up with the classic “Thank you, everyone,” he suddenly added with a sly grin, “And thanks to my mother-in-law for raising such an outstanding daughter.”
His pupils trembled, but his expression remained calm and composed, as if the shameless person who had just kissed his girlfriend in front of a crowd of children wasn’t him.

🔥🔥 These are Zhang Jianguo’s eyes. (Just realized I started writing this in 2018… I always thought it was 2019. I used to think I was writing pretty fast—how naive of me.)
