Suddenly Became a Boy – What Should I Do? - Chapter 61.2
He Xiangtong noticed that Lin Xin was on the verge of bursting into profanity, his expression tight with barely suppressed frustration, his clenched jaw and furrowed brow betraying the effort it took to hold himself back. To defuse the situation, she timidly raised her hand from under her arm and asked, “Did you… use my shampoo without asking?”
“No!” Lin Xin bellowed in frustration.
“Then you must’ve worn my socks!” He Xiangtong retorted.
“Or maybe used my towel to dry your hands!” Zhang Yun chimed in.
What started as a simple accusation from He Xiangtong quickly derailed, as Zhang Yun, relishing the opportunity for some lighthearted chaos, jumped in with enthusiasm, turning the moment into a full-blown contest to see who could list the most bad habits.
“Enough!” Lin Xin shouted, cutting through their escalating nonsense. “My bad habits are so numerous you’d need three days and nights to list them all?”
Shang Xiaoxia, her ears aching from the chaos, decided it was time to escalate. Lately emboldened by Wu Lian’s indulgence, she had an audacious idea. Rising from her seat, she marched over to Lin Xin and declared, “Everyone, shut up and watch this!”
Without hesitation, she grabbed Lin Xin’s shirt collar and tried to tear it open… to no avail.
She hadn’t anticipated that Lin Xin’s shirt was thickly lined and reinforced with a dense, almost armor-like fabric, the texture coarse and unyielding, making it impossible to tear. The shirt remained intact, while her burning hands forced her to retreat in humiliation. Grumbling to herself, Shang Xiaoxia sat back down, glaring at her hands as though they had betrayed her.
Lin Xin, understanding her intention, sought permission from Cheng Shiyin with a glance. Cheng Shiyin raised an eyebrow, then gave him a subtle nod, her calm demeanor suggesting mild amusement, as though she found the group’s antics an entertaining distraction from the monotony of the day. After receiving her nod, he effortlessly ripped his shirt apart, revealing his firm and defined chest muscles for Zhang Yun and He Xiangtong to see.
The room fell silent.
“Gulp…”
“Gulp…”
The sound of Zhang Yun and He Xiangtong swallowing hard echoed in the quiet room.
Their hands, as if acting on their own, reached out to touch Lin Xin’s chest. But before they could make contact, Lin Xin swatted them away. With no patience left for subtlety, he declared outright, “A few months ago, I woke up one day and found out I’d turned into a man.”
“Huh?”
Zhang Yun and He Xiangtong finally snapped out of their stupor, their expressions filled with confusion. They exchanged glances, reading the same question in each other’s eyes. “Didn’t we time travel to another universe?”
“So, we’re not the protagonists of this world? But wait, if this really is reality, how could someone’s gender change overnight? That’s completely unscientific!”
Though they readily accepted the idea of traveling to a parallel world, they suddenly insisted on applying logic to Lin Xin’s transformation.
The two stared at each other for a long moment, silently debating through eye contact, before finally shouting in unison, “We don’t believe you!”
Lin Xin, who wasn’t gifted with mind-reading abilities, was fuming. He couldn’t understand how they still doubted him despite the evidence. Looking at his exposed chest, he thought bitterly, “I’m standing here half-naked with muscles, and they still don’t believe I’m a guy. What else do they need to see?”
Out of sheer exasperation, Lin Xin stood up and reached for his waistband. “Fine,” he muttered, “if this is what it takes, I’ll prove it!”
Everyone’s eyes snapped to him, their gazes unwavering—including Cheng Shiyin, watching from the other side of the video call.
