This Novel will be a very short one with only about 42 chaprters in total. Still translating will be a bit slow since I'm only shoving it into any available schedule I have. For some reason, even when I said I wanted to take a break, when one novel finished I still stalk the NU forums for novel pick-up updates.

“Bang—” Fang Baijing raised his foot and kicked the suitcase beside him. The contents of the box were heavy, producing only a muffled thud. The suitcase rolled a distance across the floor with difficulty. Unconvinced, Fang Baijing tried again, hitting the door heavily several times with his shoulder. His shoulder was throbbing with pain, but the door showed no sign of opening.

“Fu Feng!” Fang Baijing yelled exasperatedly, “Open the door!”

His wrists were forced together. Fu Feng could restrain all of his movements with just one hand.

Fang Baijing’s chest rose and fell dramatically with anger. He glared at Fu Feng and shouted, “You agreed to the break-up, and you told me to move my things out. Now what are you doing locking me in here?! Are you seriously insane?!”

Fu Feng tightened his grip on Fang Baijing’s wrist with great force. He compelled Fang Baijing to look up at him before saying slowly, “I never intended to break up. Fang Baijing, strictly speaking, this is the first time I’ve ever lied to you.”

Fang Baijing’s eyes were red with anger. He kicked the suitcase again, this time with much greater force.

Now, he was not just angry, but also slightly panicked. He felt like prey caught in a hunter’s trap, buzzing around like a headless fly. If he couldn’t see that this was one of Fu Feng’s schemes now, he’d be an idiot.

Fang Baijing’s voice was tinged with a slight tremor: “Open the door, and we can consider everything between us finished.”

“Finished?” Fu Feng raised an eyebrow and asked, “I don’t want it to be finished.”

He released Fang Baijing’s tightly squeezed hand. Fu Feng lowered his gaze, staring at the red marks on Fang Baijing’s wrist, seemingly lost in thought.

Fang Baijing violently shook off Fu Feng’s hand and roared furiously again, “Open the door!”

Fu Feng ignored him, turned around to pick up the suitcase that was nearby, and started pulling it up the stairs. The suitcase Fang Baijing struggled to lift was carried effortlessly by Fu Feng.

Fang Baijing hurried after him, wanting to snatch the suitcase from Fu Feng’s hand. But Fu Feng was carrying the heavy suitcase on the stairs, and Fang Baijing didn’t dare to make any drastic movements. He only dared to carefully tug at Fu Feng’s arm, quickly following him up the stairs.

Fang Baijing blocked Fu Feng at the stairwell entrance, reaching out to grab his suitcase, but Fu Feng caught his arm.

Fu Feng used his left hand to hold the suitcase and his right hand to grasp Fang Baijing, leading him toward the bedroom.

“Click—” The bedroom door was also decisively locked by Fu Feng.

With one push, he guided Fang Baijing onto the bed. The mattress was soft. Fang Baijing felt a moment of confusion as he sank into the bedding.

“Fu Feng!” Fang Baijing frantically tried to get up.

After a few struggles, his legs were pinned down by Fu Feng. He instinctively widened his eyes. Fang Baijing was scared. He was afraid of what Fu Feng might do to him. As if fate had him by the throat, Fang Baijing’s struggles gradually subsided.

The hem of Fang Baijing’s hoodie was lifted.

He instinctively wrapped his arms around Fu Feng’s shoulder. The trousers he was wearing were too loose, and the belt had fallen off at some point. When he moved, his trousers couldn’t help but slide down.

“Fu Feng…” Fang Baijing fearfully called Fu Feng’s name. The hand that was moving up his waist paused. The next moment, Fang Baijing was suddenly hugged tightly. Fu Feng’s lips brushed against his neck, and his breath hit his ear. Fang Baijing couldn’t help but call out again: “Fu Feng?”

Their embrace was awkward. Fang Baijing couldn’t fully stretch his limbs. He belatedly realized they were still arguing.

Fang Baijing pushed Fu Feng’s shoulder, straightening his face: “Let go!”

“I won’t do anything.” This time, Fu Feng truly seemed to let go.

He got out of bed and opened the suitcase placed beside it.

The suitcase was, as usual, a mess thanks to Fang Baijing. The contents seemed ready to explode out. Fu Feng’s expression remained unchanged as he casually pulled out a piece of clothing that Fang Baijing had wadded up like rotten dried vegetables.

He meticulously flattened the clothes one by one beside him. It looked like he intended to put them back into the walk-in closet. Fang Baijing straightened his messy clothes. The corners of his eyes were red, and his hair was sticking up from rubbing against the pillow.

He rushed over, unreasonably grabbed the clothes, and shoved them back into the suitcase. Fang Baijing knelt on the floor, looking up at Fu Feng stubbornly.

Fu Feng stopped moving and asked calmly, “Fang Baijing, is being with me so painful?” He reached out and touched the corner of Fang Baijing’s eye, whispering, “You’re going to cry again.”

Fang Baijing bit his lip tightly, holding back the imminent tears.

“I’ve told you before, I’ll give you whatever you want and buy you whatever you like,” Fu Feng asked. “Can we not break up?”

This was the calmest state Fu Feng could barely maintain. He pulled out a cigarette and put it in his mouth.

Fu Feng never let Fang Baijing smell smoke, but today he was struggling to control his emotions.

Smoke rings drifted between the two of them.

As expected, Fang Baijing couldn’t stand the smell of smoke and turned his head, starting to cough laboriously.

Just as the cigarette began to burn, Fu Feng emotionlessly extinguished it in his palm.

As if feeling no pain, he suddenly pulled Fang Baijing toward him and kissed him. There was still a residual smell of smoke on his lips. Fu Feng’s kiss was as forceful as the tobacco scent.

“Are you hurting?” Fu Feng’s finger brushed the corner of Fang Baijing’s mouth. He was still coughing, and Fu Feng helped him catch his breath. “I am hurting badly.”

Fang Baijing’s throat was dry. He lowered his head, his voice hoarse from excessive coughing: “You ask if we can not break up. Then I ask you, if I say I want to break up, will you agree?”

“I will not agree.”

Fu Feng’s answer was expected by Fang Baijing.

After arguing all day, Fang Baijing felt tired. Since he was powerless, he might as well accept reality. He simply gave up, lay back on the bed, pulled the blanket over his head, and started to sleep, ignoring Fu Feng.

Fang Baijing had cried for a long time today. He wasn’t just dizzy, but also slightly oxygen-deprived. His eyelids were heavy. It was the same bed he had slept in for half a year, and he fell asleep the moment he closed his eyes.

Fu Feng, alone, moved quietly, taking the items out of the suitcase one by one. His memory was excellent; he even remembered the original placement of these things.

By the time he finished arranging the items, it was already very late.

Fu Feng stood up. He stood by the bed, openly watching Fang Baijing’s sleeping face.

He was in a deep sleep, but it was restless. His eyes were slightly swollen, perhaps from crying too much, and his brow furrowed uncontrollably while he slept.

When Fang Baijing was deep asleep, he was always very quiet and well-behaved. His breathing was smooth, he never snored, and his sleeping posture was surprisingly steady; he would wake up in the same position he fell asleep in.

Fu Feng watched for a long time, and in the end, he only reached out to tuck the corner of the blanket around him.

He belatedly realized he might have been using the wrong method from the start. Perhaps he should have waited for Fang Baijing to slowly accept him, which would have prevented the situation from escalating to this destructive point.

But now that he had Fang Baijing, he didn’t want to let go.

He could yield to Fang Baijing on everything, but only one thing was Fu Feng’s bottom line: Fang Baijing had to be by his side.

The next day when Fang Baijing woke up, he realized Fu Feng truly intended to lock him up. Actually, it couldn’t be considered completely locking him up; Fu Feng still gave him a certain degree of freedom.

His phone was still on him, but Fang Baijing discovered a tracking application had been installed on it, which he couldn’t uninstall. In addition, Fang Baijing tried to go out once, but the bodyguards following him were impossible to shake off.

His scenes at the film set were finished. Fang Baijing didn’t like taking on other work like variety shows or commercials, so once filming wrapped, it was basically his holiday.

Since Fu Feng wanted to draw this out, he would draw it out with Fu Feng.

Fang Baijing had nowhere to go, so he ended up staying at home most of the time. Nothing seemed to have changed between him and Fu Feng. They still slept in each other’s arms. When he woke up, he helped Fu Feng tie his tie. Fu Feng went to work, and he sat on the sofa playing games out of boredom.

Fang Baijing ultimately chose to compromise.

His phone was still in his hand. He had considered calling the police, but after inputting the number, he could never bring himself to dial it. His relationship with Fu Feng hadn’t deteriorated to that extent yet, as Fu Feng had genuinely helped him.

Today was probably the third day he had been locked up by Fu Feng. Fang Baijing was gradually getting used to it, progressing from initial hysterical outbursts to casually accepting reality.

Fang Baijing wasn’t in the mood to play games. The moment he stepped out the villa door, he felt the bodyguards who usually followed him instantly focus on him.

He simply walked upstairs in the villa, entering the collection room where the piano was kept. Fang Baijing lifted the piano lid and idly ran his fingers across the keys from left to right.

Suddenly, Fang Baijing stopped. His gaze was fixed on a small chip on one of the keys on the right side. His eyelid twitched. He found this chip incredibly familiar.

Fang Baijing lowered his head in disbelief. He reached out and touched the chip. His expression went blank for a moment.

He used to practice piano often in high school. Coincidentally, that piano also had a chip like this—a very small one that didn’t affect the playing.

Fang Baijing stared at the piano, his hand frozen and motionless. He couldn’t help but suspect that this was the very piano he used to play. The brand, the color, and even this small chip were identical.

Fang Baijing suddenly thought of something.

He walked dubiously toward the tightly closed cabinet door by the wall. He had initially thought it would be empty inside, or perhaps contain many valuable items. But as soon as Fang Baijing opened it, the first thing he saw was a neatly folded school uniform jacket. The high school he attended had custom uniforms. In addition to the school emblem, the owner’s name was embroidered on the chest.

The embroidery was done with black thread. The jacket in front of him had quite a few loose threads due to the owner’s carelessness. The first two numbers of the embroidery were the enrollment year, the next two were the class, and the last part was the student ID number.

The one in Fang Baijing’s hand was no different.

—150826

A very familiar string of numbers, followed by his name below the digits.

—Fang Baijing.

This was the school uniform Fang Baijing had worn for three years of high school.
