This Novel will be a very short one with only about 42 chaprters in total. Still translating will be a bit slow since I'm only shoving it into any available schedule I have. For some reason, even when I said I wanted to take a break, when one novel finished I still stalk the NU forums for novel pick-up updates.

Fang Baijing finally got Fu Feng a tie. Wearing a mask, he avoided Ji Weile and drove for over an hour to the mall in the city center.

When the saleslady wrapped the exquisite gift box and placed it in the bag printed with the logo, Fang Baijing quietly asked, “Do you have a bag that’s not so obvious?” If he carried that bag, he would definitely be asked—What did you buy? Why did you buy this? Is it a gift for someone? Fang Baijing didn’t know how to answer in that moment. Saying emotionlessly that it was for Fu Feng might be too shocking.

The saleslady was probably meeting such a bizarre request for the first time. After rummaging around for a long time, the only thing she found was a garbage bag. She asked with a strange expression, “This is all I have. Do you need it?”

Fang Baijing was silent for a while, but ultimately accepted the garbage bag. He probably felt a bit embarrassed. With his ears red, he dropped the box into the garbage bag and bolted out quickly.

As he slowly walked out of the mall, Fang Baijing felt his behavior was even more ridiculous—it would look strange carrying a garbage bag back to the film set, wouldn’t it!?

Fang Baijing had no choice but to sneak the item into a compartment in the trunk and find a casual excuse to keep Ji Weile from asking questions.

The film crew stayed in Huai City for about a month. Fang Baijing usually fell asleep the moment he got into the car, but today he wasn’t sleepy and kept turning his head to look toward the trunk.

“Did you hide treasure in the trunk?” Ji Weile wondered, staring into the rearview mirror. “Why do you keep looking back? Or is someone chasing us?”

Although it was clearly a joke, Fang Baijing suddenly straightened up.

He snorted coldly through his nose and turned his head, saying, “Just drive properly!”

Ji Weile: ?

He had just been speaking casually, but Fang Baijing, despite being an actor, wore all his emotions on his sleeve when he wasn’t filming.

With Fang Baijing acting like this, there was clearly something in the trunk. Especially when Ji Weile dropped Fang Baijing off at home and was immediately pushed by the shoulder, put into another car, and told to leave with the driver, Ji Weile was absolutely certain—Fang Baijing was definitely up to something!

Only after sending Ji Weile away did Fang Baijing finally open the trunk and retrieve the secretly hidden garbage bag.

But some things just happen by chance—normally Fu Feng would absolutely not be home at this hour, but today he was.

Fang Baijing flinched and hid the garbage bag behind him. He hid too slowly, and Fu Feng still caught a glimpse of a small corner of the bag fluttering.

Fu Feng slowly said, “If you’re disposing of garbage, you can hand it to the staff.”

Fang Baijing looked up in disbelief, only to hear Fu Feng ask with confusion, “You can also give the trash to me, and I’ll dispose of it for you. Just don’t hide trash behind you.”

Outbursts of embarrassed rage were what Fang Baijing did best. He hurled the garbage bag containing the gift box into Fu Feng’s arms and shouted, “Here! You go throw it away!”

Fu Feng was momentarily stunned, catching it instinctively. He looked down and immediately knew that the garbage bag definitely did not contain garbage.

He quickly strode a few steps to catch up with Fang Baijing. Fu Feng swiftly closed the door, reached out, and pulled Fang Baijing’s arm, pinning him against the door.

As if confirming, Fu Feng asked, “Is this a gift you bought for me?”

Fang Baijing crossed his arms, avoiding Fu Feng’s gaze. After Fu Feng waited patiently, he finally let out a “hng” from his nose. The “hng” probably meant “yes.”

Fang Baijing, his mouth stubbornly resistant, said fiercely, “Take it or leave it! If you don’t want it, throw it in the trash can!”

Fu Feng used direct action to show him that he did want the gift, especially the moment that night when he tied the tie around Fang Baijing’s wrists.

Fang Baijing thrashed his legs in a panic, but couldn’t stop anything. His wrists were tightly bound by the tie. He didn’t know what method Fu Feng used; there was clearly some slack, yet he couldn’t break free. His eyes were covered by Fu Feng’s palm. The kiss that landed on his nose was gentle.

Fu Feng whispered into his ear, “Yang Yang, I really like it.”

As Fang Baijing quietly sobbed, he swore—if he ever gave Fu Feng another gift in this life, he was a dog!

After resting at home for a few days, Fang Baijing finally returned to the film set. They were already shooting the latter half, and his character was about to wrap up filming. After all, he was playing a minor male role (Male N), so there wouldn’t be a particularly good ending.

Fang Baijing’s character was like this: a frail, sickly young master who was actually a master swordsman, but due to being poisoned, he could no longer wield a sword. But for the sake of the female lead, he drew his sword from its long-sealed sheath one last time. The young master’s hand gripping the sword was still steady, but he knew today would be the day he died.

In the wind and snow, the young master turned back. The hair near his temples fluttered in the wind. His face was pale, but when he smiled, it was like the warmth of a spring breeze.

He spoke gently to the female lead behind him, “Don’t look at me. It will be very scary when blood flows from my seven orifices.”

“Cut—”

This was his last scene. Finishing this scene meant Fang Baijing was officially wrapped.

Fang Baijing’s palm gripped the sword. He had truly immersed himself in the role; with one blink, it was as if tears welled up at the corners of his eyes.

Now that he was out of character, Fang Baijing couldn’t understand: could someone in this world truly love another person to this extent?

“Baijing!” The director’s voice pulled him out of the wind and snow. His voice sounded hesitant. “Someone is here to see you!”

Fang Baijing subconsciously turned around and froze when he saw the woman standing next to the director. It was the same woman he had last seen with Zhuang Chengan—in other words, Zhuang Chengan’s sugar mommy/patron.

The weather was gradually entering autumn. She was wearing a camel-colored trench coat.

As Fang Baijing walked toward her, she casually tossed her long, wavy hair. She smiled slightly and introduced herself: “Hello, my name is Li Ran.”

“Hello, Fang Baijing.” He hesitantly shook Li Ran’s hand and asked, “May I ask what this is about?”

“Fu Feng’s father said he wants me to marry Fu Feng,” she said lightly. “But I’m not done having fun yet, so I’m not interested for now. However, I can’t get in touch with Fu Feng. Could I trouble you to pass a message to him for me?”
