This Novel will be a very short one with only about 42 chaprters in total. Still translating will be a bit slow since I'm only shoving it into any available schedule I have. For some reason, even when I said I wanted to take a break, when one novel finished I still stalk the NU forums for novel pick-up updates.

Author’s Note: Sorry, I always feel like I write CEO Fu like a pervert, but in fact, he’s done even more outrageous things—the kind that makes me excited just thinking about writing those scenes later.

Fu Feng’s acquaintance with Xiao Jing was not a coincidence. It was on a guest list for a banquet that he happened to see while studying abroad. Upon seeing that familiar name, he chose to fly back home across the ocean to attend the event. The following events unfolded smoothly. He successfully became acquainted with Xiao Jing, but never once mentioned Fang Baijing’s name, appearing genuinely interested only in befriending Xiao Jing.

Fu Feng buried everything in his heart, but he often checked Xiao Jing’s social media feed. This was because Xiao Jing frequently posted things about Fang Baijing. Sometimes it was chat logs, sometimes group photos. Fang Baijing’s expression in every photo always looked reluctant.

Until one day, Fang Baijing finally smiled in Xiao Jing’s feed. He flashed a peace sign, standing at the school gate, smiling brightly and brilliantly. It was then that Fu Feng realized Fang Baijing was going to become a small-time actor.

Fu Feng had gone back to see Fang Baijing after moving abroad, but because Fu Yan was present, he had to intentionally hide his movements. He couldn’t return too often. More often, he paid private investigators to take photos of Fang Baijing for him. But whenever Fu Feng had the opportunity to return home, he would watch Fang Baijing from afar.

When Fang Baijing was in high school, Fu Feng would time his visit to coincide with school dismissal, sitting on the second floor of the coffee shop across from the school. From that angle, he could see Fang Baijing bounding out of the school gates. Fang Baijing must have strongly disliked studying; he always ran out quickly, his backpack almost flying behind him.

Later, when Fang Baijing went to university, Fu Feng obtained his class schedule. When he had large lecture classes, Fu Feng would blend into the crowd, sitting in a corner of the classroom, openly watching Fang Baijing.

During his freshman year, Fang Baijing landed his first role, which also became the one that shot him to fame. It was a campus drama, but the romantic storyline throughout was kept vague and innocent. The only intimate scene was Fang Baijing, wearing his school uniform, kissing the female lead’s cheek during a drizzling rain. Perhaps because of the romantic atmosphere, this intimate scene was cut into many clips, eventually making both the male and female leads popular. They were also classmates in college, and though they weren’t close, they were inexplicably shipped as a couple.

Fu Feng watched the film alone at home using a projector. When he saw Fang Baijing, his ears red, kiss someone else’s cheek, he felt he couldn’t let things continue like this.

Fu Yan was intending to hand over control to him at that time. Fu Feng quietly handled the work Fu Yan gave him while simultaneously beginning to interfere with Fang Baijing’s career path. Any fabricated negative news about Fang Baijing was immediately suppressed by Fu Feng’s own hands. In fact, many of Fang Baijing’s scripts were painstakingly maneuvered by Fu Feng to land in front of him.

And when he finally returned home for good, Fu Feng started wondering—what should his first meeting with Fang Baijing be like?

He had thought about it for so long, but their actual first meeting was terrible.

Fu Feng got up and walked toward the bedroom.

A bedside lamp was left on in the bedroom. He wasn’t sure if Fang Baijing was afraid of the dark or if he had intentionally left it on for him.

He finished showering, pulled back the covers, and lay down.

Fang Baijing, sound asleep, mumbled in his dream and groggily shifted closer to him. Fu Feng naturally embraced Fang Baijing. He turned off the lamp, and the room instantly sank into silent darkness.

He had liked Fang Baijing for six whole years, without reason. He liked him from the very first glance.

Because he was exhausted from filming yesterday, Fang Baijing fell into a deep sleep the moment he lay down. When he woke up, it was already morning.

Unusually, Fu Feng was actually waking up later than him today.

His nose was resting against Fu Feng’s collarbone.

Fang Baijing panicked and instinctively tried to slip out of Fu Feng’s embrace.

Fu Feng’s eyes were still drowsy, but he sensed the movement, and his body automatically pulled Fang Baijing back. It wasn’t until Fang Baijing’s nose bumped against his chest, and Fu Feng heard his cry of pain, that he lifted his eyelids.

“Does it hurt?” Fu Feng reached out and touched Fang Baijing’s nasal bone.

“Duh!” Fang Baijing covered his nose and complained, “It hurts like hell!” He genuinely couldn’t tolerate pain well; his pain receptors seemed to be naturally twice as developed as others’.

Fu Feng suddenly sat up, gently removed the hand covering his nose, carefully examined Fang Baijing’s nose, and slowly said, “It’s a little red.” He consulted Fang Baijing’s opinion, asking, “Should I put ointment on it?”

“No need.” Fang Baijing rolled his eyes. “It’ll stop hurting in a bit.” He mumbled under his breath, “Who puts ointment on their nose?”

Fang Baijing rubbed his nose, threw off the covers, and headed to the bathroom to wash up. He was well-rested and energetic. He squeezed toothpaste onto his brush and stood in front of the mirror, brushing his teeth. Just as foam started to form in his mouth, the bathroom door suddenly opened.

Fu Feng walked in from outside. His first order of business upon waking was different from Fang Baijing’s; he picked up a razor, tilted his chin back, and shaved the stubble that hadn’t quite grown in.

Fang Baijing’s movements paused. The bathroom mirror was large enough to reflect both him and Fu Feng fully.

Fang Baijing’s hair was sticking up in a tuft due to his poor sleeping position, but Fu Feng’s hair was much shorter than his, naturally looking much neater.

Fang Baijing leaned his hands on the sink. His brushing slowed. He secretly glanced at Fu Feng’s reflection in the mirror.

Fu Feng seemed to have finished shaving and began brushing his teeth too.

Fang Baijing nearly locked eyes with Fu Feng. Panicked, he quickly averted his gaze. Facing the mirror, he was increasingly aware of the difference in their physiques. His own height was already considered tall for a male, but Fu Feng was still half a head taller, and his frame was much larger, making the size difference even more apparent.

Fang Baijing suddenly recalled Xiao Jing’s words—”You and Fu Feng are actually quite a good match.”

The last time he risked a glance at the mirror, Fang Baijing was unexpectedly caught staring. He quickly twisted his head away, the movement so forceful he nearly wrenched his neck.

Fu Feng asked, “What are you looking at?”

Fang Baijing expressionlessly wet his towel with water. He heavily wiped his face and, looking into the mirror, said, “I’m looking at how handsome I am.”

Fang Baijing had to move with the film crew over the next few days, relocating to a mountainous area in the neighboring city to shoot scenes. He hadn’t told Fu Feng about this. It wasn’t until he was packing his luggage that evening that Fu Feng happened to walk in.

“Are you going to Huai City tomorrow?” Fu Feng asked, standing by the door.

“…Yes.” Fang Baijing knew he should have guessed. Someone was bound to tell Fu Feng.

Fu Feng walked forward a few steps and saw the disorganized mess of luggage Fang Baijing was trying to pack. He crouched down and asked, “Why don’t you let your assistant help you?”

Fang Baijing retorted stubbornly, “I can do it myself!”

He had always packed his own bags. Fang Baijing’s packing principle was simply to shove everything in—useful or not, just stuff it all in. He didn’t need to take much; anything he forgot, he could buy there. Since he had the biggest suitcase, it was definitely enough for his things.

But being watched so intently by Fu Feng today made Fang Baijing uncomfortable.

He turned his back, trying to use his body to block the suitcase, which was obviously impossible. Fang Baijing turned around in embarrassment and anger, saying, “Stop watching me pack!”

“I’ll help you.” Fu Feng suddenly offered.

Before Fang Baijing could stop him, he reached into the suitcase and started taking out its contents.

With someone offering to help, Fang Baijing simply shut up and sat on the bed. People like Fu Feng do everything with an insistence on absolute perfection, even packing luggage. All the clothes had to be folded into neat squares. Clothes were placed on one side, and toiletries and shoes on the other.

Fang Baijing sat with his legs crossed, watching contentedly, until the moment Fu Feng pulled out his underwear. His expression instantly changed.

His face flushed red. He snatched his personal items from Fu Feng’s hand and roared, “I’ll do that myself!”

Fu Feng, however, asked calmly, “There’s nothing to be shy about.”

Fang Baijing, stung by the accurate observation, shouted even louder, “I said I’ll do it myself!”

Early the next morning, Ji Weile drove over to pick up Fang Baijing. This wasn’t his first time visiting this villa community, but every time he came, Ji Weile felt his foot on the gas pedal trembling. Unlike the elderly security guards in normal neighborhoods, this place hired a professional security company, and the protection was exceptionally strict.

When Ji Weile drove in, he was stopped by burly bodyguards and questioned for nearly ten minutes before being let through. Throughout the process, he couldn’t shake the feeling that the security guards might suddenly pull a gun from their pockets. He finally relaxed when he saw Fang Baijing walk out dragging his suitcase.

It was noon when he picked up Fang Baijing. Fu Feng was already gone. Ji Weile helped Fang Baijing put the suitcase into the trunk, then drove to the film set.

Fang Baijing spent about a week in the neighboring city. Because it was a mountainous area, the accommodation conditions weren’t great. The hotel had terrible soundproofing, and Fang Baijing had poor sleep quality.

Although he was exhausted from climbing the mountains all day and could barely get out of bed, he was tortured by the noise from the residents upstairs and downstairs in the middle of the night. Fang Baijing called the front desk several times to no avail. After enduring it for a week, Fang Baijing unconsciously complained to Fu Feng during a phone call: “I haven’t been sleeping well these past few days. The walls in this hotel are like they’re made of paper; the soundproofing is terrible!”

The very next day, he received a key to an apartment Fu Feng had bought nearby. The living conditions weren’t luxurious, but they were much better than the hotel. Additionally, Fu Feng assigned him a driver.

Fang Baijing hesitated for a moment but finally accepted the keys Fu Feng gave him, awkwardly thanking Fu Feng.

Today was Fang Baijing’s last day there. He wasn’t surprised when he received a call from Fu Feng after showering.

“Are you coming back tomorrow?”

Fang Baijing, wearing the pajamas he brought, lay down on the bed and lazily replied, “Yeah.”

Fu Feng then instructed, “Go to sleep early.”

He always called precisely when Fang Baijing finished filming. Since they shot a night scene today, it was already 2 AM. But Fu Feng was always like this. No matter how late, he would call. The call would connect, and he wouldn’t say much—just simple greetings, followed by his routine encouragement to sleep.

The last line to end the call was almost always Fu Feng’s—”Goodnight.”

Fang Baijing’s eyelids felt heavy, but he suddenly lost his sleepiness. He rolled over in bed and quietly echoed, “Goodnight.” He spoke very softly, almost a whisper, as if afraid Fu Feng would hear him.

Fu Feng never hung up first.

After listening to each other’s heavy breathing for a while, Fang Baijing ended the call.

The moment the call disconnected, he suddenly remembered something. Fu Feng had once pressured him to buy a gift, and he had bought Fu Feng a cheap, insignificant brooch.

Fang Baijing flipped himself over again, like a pancake on a griddle.

…This time, I should buy him something more expensive.
