“Ah, the sea breeze feels wonderful~” Princess Floria of the Kingdom of Farnese stepped out onto the deck of the sailing ship and deeply inhaled the refreshing salt air.
The wind blowing from the south caressed her warmly and softly, causing her rose-blonde hair to sway with the breeze.
The surface of the sea sparkled like a mirror, reflecting the sunlight, while two seagulls playfully chased each other, gliding on the wind above the deck.
“Lia-sama, please be careful. You forgot your parasol. Direct exposure to the sunlight on the sea can damage your fair skin,” said Aura, a lady-in-waiting accompanying Princess Floria, in a somewhat anxious tone, as she offered the parasol.
“But I finally feel better. After enduring seasickness for days, I want to fully feel the warmth of the sun on my skin,” Floria replied with an untroubled voice, turning back and smiling at Aura.
For the past few days, she had been suffering from severe seasickness. Finally, she was relieved from the nausea, and her body felt lighter as if the previous day had been a lie.
“It’s all thanks to Prince Franz’s special remedy. He is truly a kind and gentle husband. You must recover quickly and safely enjoy your wedding night for Prince Franz’s sake and become a good wife,” Floria’s cheeks flushed deep crimson at the hint of the first night as she spoke to Aura, who was like an older sister to her since childhood.
Floria, the youngest daughter of the Kingdom of Farnese, had been showered with love from her father, three elder brothers, and two elder sisters to the extent that she didn’t feel the slightest loneliness in her life. Her mother, the queen, had passed away shortly after giving birth to her due to an illness that took over the country– ever since Floria had been showered with an abundance of love to compensate for her mother’s affection.
As she reached the age for marriage, her father, the king, arranged her wedding with Prince Franz of the neighboring kingdom of Lanancrus, whom she had secretly admired since childhood. The two kingdoms had a close relationship, as Prince Franz’s younger sister had married into Floria’s kingdom the previous year, fostering a strong bond between the two royal families.
