With this in mind, Su Mu wasted no time and began to channel his Earth Force, initiating a second transformation of the Sui River. Previously, the Sui River was only five feet wide on average, which Su Mu deemed insufficient for bringing in large demons.

The sixth-tier Earth Force was incredibly powerful, and soon the riverbanks of the Sui River within the Misty Area began to tremble and expand.

After just one day, the width of the Sui River within the Misty Area had increased from five feet to fifty feet. It had now become a true large river. Fortunately, due to Su Mu’s earlier sweep of the Misty Area with the mist skeletons, not many people witnessed this change. The few who did see it had little influence.

The further excavation of the Sui River was left to the marmots. These creatures had also significantly evolved, having benefited from the recent opportunity. All one hundred marmots had advanced to the peak of the first tier. Although they couldn’t compare to Su Mu’s other subordinates in terms of strength, their large numbers were an advantage, and they didn’t need to engage in combat. Their strength was more than sufficient for digging.

“Divine Tree,” Su Yao’s voice reached Su Mu through their mental connection. “Qingzhou is beginning to grow suspicious of Dongfang Xuan’s disappearance. It won’t be long before they take action.”

“No matter,” Su Mu responded calmly. At this point, both he and the Misty Area had solidified their presence. The Misty Area could truly be called the Tree Kingdom now. If the Great Xia Empire were to move against the Misty Area, they would soon realize that it would be as difficult as waging war against another nation.

“Divine Tree, my current status is still too low,” Su Yao continued. “One day, I will rise to a high position within the human leadership of the Great Xia Empire, and then I will be able to assist you more effectively.”

Su Mu was momentarily taken aback. He hadn’t expected Su Yao to harbor such ambitions. To be honest, his initial intention in placing Su Yao among the humans was simply to gather intelligence. He hadn’t considered elevating her to a high-ranking position.

However, Su Mu did not discourage Su Yao. Her ambition could be advantageous. After all, if she truly ascended to a high position within the Great Xia Empire, it would certainly be interesting.

“Divine Tree, due to the second wave of spiritual energy, chaos is erupting in all the major forbidden zones across the world,” Su Yao informed him. “The Great Xia Empire is already struggling to manage its resources, and I doubt they can spare much manpower to deal with the Misty Area. This is the perfect opportunity for the Misty Area to focus on its own development.”

“Very well,” Su Mu agreed. The opportunity was indeed ripe, and he had no intention of letting it slip by. It was the perfect time to expand the Sui River and conduct a large-scale harvest while the outside world was still unfamiliar with the river and the mist.

As Su Mu anticipated, the widening of the Sui River led to an influx of fish from the Wushui River, and more beasts migrated along the riverbanks into the Misty Area.

The mist provided the perfect cover, and Su Mu orchestrated a massacre, reaping a large harvest. This wave of slaughter earned Su Mu an additional 30,000 years of lifespan, bringing his total lifespan to 53,000 years.

Su Mu’s eyes glinted with anticipation. With over 50,000 years of lifespan at his disposal, he could finally elevate one of his abilities to the seventh tier. What would a seventh-tier ability bring? Without further hesitation, Su Mu decided to enhance his Power of Mist, the ability that was currently his greatest asset and played the most critical role. Without Power of Mist, the Misty Area could never have remained so well-concealed.

“Power of Mist, upgrade!” Su Mu commanded internally.

In an instant, 50,000 years of lifespan vanished, leaving Su Mu with a feeling of emptiness. He had painstakingly accumulated over 50,000 years of lifespan, only for it to be nearly depleted in a single moment.

[Species: Spirit Ginkgo Tree]
[Height: 730 feet]
[Lifespan: 3,000 years]
[Rank: Fourth-Tier, Middle Grade]
[Abilities:
Innate Talent Duplication, Life Essence Condensation, Heaven and Human Induction, Fifth-Tier Earth Fiend Transformation, Sixth-Tier Phantom Snow Eye, Fifth-Tier Heart of Faith, Seventh-Tier Power of Mist, Fourth-Tier Heart Peering, Sixth-Tier Earth Force, Sixth-Tier Sword Mastery, Sixth-Tier Water Breathing, Fourth-Tier Bloodsucking Power]

With the upgrade to seventh-tier Power of Mist, Su Mu immediately noticed the changes. The range of the mist could now expand to an eighty-mile radius if necessary. But this wasn’t the most significant change. The most crucial transformation was the ability to cultivate Mist Flowers. Mist Flowers were an extremely powerful type of spiritual flower, primarily used as nourishment for Mist Spirits—the mist skeletons.

When Mist Spirits consumed Mist Flowers, their strength would continuously grow. If there was any surplus after feeding the Mist Spirits, the Mist Flowers could also be consumed by other beings, although the effect on them would be less potent.

Remarkably, Mist Spirits that consumed Mist Flowers could potentially become pregnant, leading to the birth of new Mist Spirits.

Moreover, as Su Mu observed, the Mist Skeletons were already beginning to change. Their skeletal bodies, originally made entirely of mist, were becoming more substantial, and they now closely resembled humans. Henceforth, they could no longer be called Mist Skeletons; they were now truly a Mist Tribe.

While Su Mu was focused on observing the transformation of the Mist Tribe, unexpected visitors arrived at Su Family Village. In recent times, the entity that had benefited the most from the second wave of spiritual energy was undoubtedly the Misty Area, and the second greatest beneficiary was Su Family Village.

Aside from Su Yao and Su Luo, others such as Su Yan, Su Qing, Su Zheng, Yang Rou, and Wu Tie had all become Foundation Establishment cultivators. Many other core members of Su Family Village had also reached the peak of Qi Refining. This made Su Family Village stronger than many cities.

Previously, when the Canglan Town faced the Demonic Flower disaster, a large number of people fled to Su Family Village. From that time on, Su Family Village absorbed the population of Canglan Town, swelling to over 7,000 people. Since then, Su Family Village had begun constructing a city.

Green Hills Mansion had long planned to build a city on the edge of the Ancient Wilderness Mountains, which would have posed a threat to the Misty Area. Therefore, Su Family Village took the initiative to build a city first.

With Su Yao, Su Luo, and even Xia Yuerong supporting Su Family Village, no one in Green Hills Mansion could object, even if they felt their interests were being compromised. For ordinary mortals, building a city would be an arduous task, taking several years just to lay the foundation.

However, for cultivators, the process was significantly faster. Su Family Village had numerous Earth-element cultivators assisting in the construction, and each day saw significant progress. Thus, in just two months since absorbing the population of Canglan Town, Su City had risen on the edge of the Ancient Wilderness Mountains.

Su City was not large, covering only five square miles, but it was enough to house over 100,000 people. Building the city allowed Su Family Village to reap tremendous benefits later on.

When the Misty Area exhibited unusual phenomena, thousands of people from various places flocked to it. Su City became the first stop for these people, providing a base of operations for their explorations. The influx of people brought significant economic benefits and various resources to Su City.
