“What are your thoughts on this bear?” Gao Siming asked, his face stern.

“While its current strength is intimidating, what’s truly frightening is its potential for growth,” someone replied. “If we don’t eliminate it now, there’s a good chance it could evolve into a Tier-Three demon beast right under our noses.”

The others nodded in agreement.

“Very well,” Gao Siming said. “It seems we’re all on the same page regarding this matter. We’ll employ a strategy of total extermination. First, have the White Eagle Camp engage it fully to prevent its escape. Then, notify the nearby cities around the Ancient Wilderness Mountains to send elite forces for a coordinated attack to kill this bear.”

“Yes, sir!” The group responded, their minds sharp and focused. It was clear that Green Hills Mansion was determined to eradicate this brown bear.

High above Purple Radiance Mountain, the White Eagle Camp’s cultivators hovered at an altitude of over 900 feet. They stayed at this height to avoid being within the bear’s attack range. Only at such a distance did they feel a semblance of safety.

Suddenly, a message talisman arrived.

“We’ve been ordered to attack this bear at all costs. If we can’t kill it, we must at least heavily injure it,” a middle-aged cultivator announced.

“Then let’s begin,” someone said. “Slay the beast!”

In the next moment, the riders of the White-Headed Eagles drew out talismans. These talismans ignited spontaneously and transformed into terrifying fireballs, which they hurled at the giant bear below.

Boom!

A fireball struck the mountainside, creating a massive crater 130 feet in diameter. The surrounding trees were reduced to ashes.

More fireballs locked onto the Earthquake Bear, who roared in fury while attempting to dodge. However, it couldn’t evade all of them and was eventually struck by one of the fireballs.

Bang!

The Earthquake Bear was sent flying a hundred feet through the air before crashing heavily to the ground.

“We hit it!” one of the White Eagle Camp cultivators exclaimed. “That should be the end of it.”

But the smiles on their faces quickly froze. The giant brown bear slowly rose from the ground. Its fur was scorched in several places, but its vitality remained robust. The fireball hadn’t caused as much damage as they had hoped. Not only that, but the attack had clearly enraged the bear.

The Earthquake Bear plunged its massive paws into the nearby mountain wall.

[Earth Force]

It activated its Earth Force ability.

“You filthy beast, still trying to fight back?” one of the White Eagle Camp cultivators sneered.

“Wait!” another cultivator cautioned, suddenly alert. “Something feels off. Be careful, everyone.”

Before he could finish speaking, the Earthquake Bear heaved with all its might. The mountainside next to it was wrenched free, breaking off into a large chunk of earth and stone, over 300 feet in diameter—a small mountain in itself.

“Oh no…”

At that moment, all the White Eagle Camp cultivators realized the danger they were in. But before they could react, the Earthquake Bear hurled the massive chunk of earth at them.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The mountain chunk exploded in mid-air, shattered by the bear’s demonic force. Countless fragments of rock shot through the sky like deadly projectiles.

Thud, thud, thud…

The rocks pierced through the White-Headed Eagles and their riders, filling the air with screams of pain and terror.

The White Eagle Camp suffered a devastating blow.

Back at Green Hills Mansion:

“Damn that beast!” one of the elders cursed. “That creature had just advanced to Second-Tier, Supreme grade, yet its strength rivals that of those who have been at that level for much longer.”

“Not only that, but it also shows signs of high intelligence,” another elder added.

The Green Hills Mansion leaders were both furious and fearful, their resolve to kill the beast only growing stronger.

On Purple Radiance Mountain:

After routing the human White Eagle Camp, the Earthquake Bear didn’t linger or boast. In the past, it might have considered itself invincible and stayed to flaunt its power in front of humans. But after its experiences with the Divine Tree, it knew its own limitations. It was well aware that not only the Divine Tree but also the Sea Monk and Snow Spirit Mink were beyond its ability to contend with.

The Divine Tree had warned it repeatedly that humans were exceedingly dangerous. Even though the bear didn’t fully understand why, it trusted the Divine Tree completely. If the Divine Tree said humans were dangerous, then they were definitely dangerous. So, despite the apparent weakness of the humans it had just defeated, it had no intention of staying.

After breaking through the human interception, it immediately began running towards the Misty Territory. Along the way, it encountered more human cultivators. While these cultivators were not as formidable as those from the White Eagle Camp, they still managed to hinder the bear.

Enraged, the Earthquake Bear simultaneously unleashed its Earth Force and Berserk Force. The ground beneath Purple Radiance Mountain began to quake violently.

“What’s happening?” the nearby human cultivators exclaimed in alarm.

Boom!

They were met with a terrifying sight. Purple Radiance Mountain was collapsing. Huge rocks tumbled down, and the human cultivators were caught in the landslide, suffering heavy casualties.

The Earthquake Bear, however, did not look back. Seizing the opportunity, it fled even faster toward the Misty Territory.

Back at Green Hills Mansion, the elders were speechless with rage.

“This beast’s talent for cultivation and combat is among the best we’ve ever recorded,” one elder finally muttered, his expression dark.

“Continue the pursuit. Under no circumstances can we let it escape,” Gao Siming ordered coldly.

“Second Elder, is it really necessary to go to such lengths to kill this beast?” someone questioned. “I’m not saying we lack the ability to slay it. I’m confident that if we marshal all our resources, we could definitely bring it down. But the cultivators of Green Hills Mansion are needed to suppress demonic beasts across the land. If we gather all our forces to hunt down this one beast, it could lead to widespread chaos.”

“Oh? Do you know who this black bear reminds me of?” Gao Siming asked, his tone indifferent.

“Who?” the others inquired, puzzled.

“The Black-Bellied Sand Lizard of the Roman Empire,” Gao Siming replied. “Haven’t you noticed that this Earthquake Bear has a strong leadership potential? Many fierce beasts around it have already submitted to it. If we don’t kill it now, it might just establish a demon beast force of its own. Do you really want to see a leader-class demon beast rise within Green Hills Mansion’s territory?”

At this, the room fell into shocked silence.

For humanity, the greatest threat wasn’t necessarily the single, powerful demon beasts. No matter how strong, humans had ways to kill them with minimal casualties. But when a demon beast had the ability to lead, it was a different story. Such a beast could gather thousands, even tens of thousands, of spirit beasts around it. At its command, it could unleash a beast tide that would wreak havoc across the land.

The threat level of a leader-class demon beast was exponentially greater. In an instant, any dissent within the group vanished.

In the Misty Territory

“Divine Tree,” Su Yao’s urgent voice resonated in Su Mu’s mind.

“What’s the matter?” Su Mu asked curiously.
