“Miss Zhao, you already know the situation. How do you think we should handle this?”

Su Yan threw the question to Zhao Xueqing.

Zhao Xueqing’s heart tightened. Although she had some ties with Su Family Village, this matter concerned the safety of the entire village. If her answer didn’t satisfy them, they would certainly kill her.

She made a quick decision. “Uncle Su, I have always seen you as family, just like how I see Su Luo as my sister. My parents died when I was young, and it was my master who raised me. So, I am willing to acknowledge you as my father.”

Su Yan was stunned, not expecting such a response.

“Are you really willing?” he asked, realizing that if Zhao Xueqing truly meant what she said, it would be the perfect solution.

“Of course,” Zhao Xueqing replied without hesitation. This matter concerned her life. Besides, Su Family Village was so deep and mysterious that recognizing Su Yan as her father was definitely not a loss.

The rest of the Su Family Village members also breathed a sigh of relief. This way, Zhao Xueqing would become one of them, tied to the village, and it would no longer benefit her to betray them.

That very day, Su Yan held a grand ceremony, inviting hundreds to witness Zhao Xueqing being adopted as his daughter. This left Zhao Xueqing no chance to regret her decision.

While the ceremony took place, Su Yao headed to the Misty Zone.

“Lord Divine Tree,” Su Yao said as she produced the bottle. Having already communicated with Su Mu through their mental link, there was no need for further words.

Su Mu had been anticipating this moment for a long time. When the bottle was opened, the close proximity allowed Su Mu to sense just how extraordinary these three drops of blood were. Each drop seemed to have an independent life of its own, which left Su Mu utterly astonished.

Could the legends be true—could there really exist a being capable of regenerating from a single drop of blood?

He quickly inspected the blood’s information.

[Azure Dragon Blood]

[Species: Azure Dragon Blood (Degraded State)]

[Size: 5 millimeters]

[Lifespan: 7000 years]

[Tier: Fourth-Tier, Middle Grade]

[Ability: Rebirth Power]

Su Mu was shocked to the core. This was merely a drop of blood, yet it was equivalent to a Fourth-Tier existence—something that exceeded Su Mu’s current capabilities. It was terrifying, and what’s more, this blood was in a degraded state, likely because it had existed for far too long, causing much of its vitality to dissipate.

Its ability, “Rebirth Power,” confirmed Su Mu’s suspicions. This drop of blood indeed possessed the power of rebirth, making Su Mu’s scalp tingle with fear. Earlier, he had considered whether he should keep a drop for research or cultivation, but now, he dismissed that idea immediately.

If this blood were to somehow regenerate, the consequences would be unimaginable. Even if it regenerated into a Fourth-Tier being, it would be far beyond what Su Mu could currently handle.

The question now was how to destroy these three drops of blood. Su Mu attempted to use his spiritual power to obliterate them but found that they were extraordinarily resilient and difficult to kill.

“Fortunately, you don’t have any consciousness and can’t resist,” Su Mu thought with relief. Otherwise, he might not have been able to defeat these three drops of blood.

At this moment, he remembered the [Bloodsucking Power] of the Purple-Gold Mosquito. Previously, he thought this ability would be useless to him, but now, it seemed he very much needed it.

Luckily, after a few days of accumulation, he had 570 years of lifespan available.

“Bloodsucking Power, replicate!” Su Mu activated the ability. The Bloodsucking Power was immediately replicated, and he began absorbing the energy within the three drops of blood.

As the energy was drained, it could not regenerate. After a quarter of an hour, the first drop of blood was fully drained, granting Su Mu 7,000 years of lifespan. Half an hour later, all three drops had been drained, providing him with a total of 21,000 years of lifespan.

Su Mu felt as though he had suddenly become wealthy overnight. Before, he was only focused on accumulating 3,000 years of lifespan to upgrade his Sword Mastery to Fourth-Tier, never expecting that the Su Family Village would bring him such an unexpected surprise.

This further solidified Su Mu’s intention to cultivate the Su Family Village. The resources within the Ancient Wilderness Mountains were limited, but by developing the Su Family Village, they could gather resources from far and wide.

“Upgrade Sword Mastery!”

Buzz!

3,000 years of lifespan vanished, and Sword Mastery was upgraded to the Fourth-Tier.

“Upgrade Heart of Faith!”

Another 3,000 years of lifespan vanished, and Heart of Faith was upgraded to Fourth-Tier.

Su Mu felt a surge of confidence and ambition.

“Upgrade Heart Peering!”

Heart Peering also advanced to Fourth-Tier.

Boom!

Su Mu suddenly broke through to the next level, advancing from Third-Tier, Middle Grade to the Third-Tier, Upper Grade.

He checked his remaining lifespan—12,000 years were left.

“Then, Upgrade Earth Fiend Transformation!”

9,000 years of lifespan disappeared, and Su Mu’s defensive power now neared Fourth-Tier. He felt that he could further alter the surrounding landscape but restrained himself for now. After all, his Sword Mastery could only control up to 45 miles, just enough to reach the Su Family Village. If he expanded the Ancient Wilderness Mountains and the distance between him and the Su Family Village exceeded 45 miles, it would be a loss rather than a gain.

[Species: Spirit Ginkgo]

[Height: 520 feet]

[Lifespan: 3,270 years]

[Tier: Third-Tier, Upper Grade]

[Abilities: Innate Talent Duplication, Life Essence Condensation, Heaven and Human Induction, Third-Tier Earth Fiend Transformation, Fourth-Tier Phantom Snow Eye, Fourth-Tier Heart of Faith, Fifth-Tier Power of Mist, Fourth-Tier Heart Peering, Fourth-Tier Earth Force, Fourth-Tier Sword Mastery, First-Tier Bloodsucking Power]

Afterward, Su Mu detached a small branch from his body, which landed in Su Yao’s hand.

“Take this branch to the Su Family Village,” Su Mu instructed.

“Yes,” Su Yao responded, her expression full of excitement. She had just witnessed the Divine Tree’s growth, which was astonishing. The Divine Tree was already immensely powerful, perhaps unrivaled even in Green Hills Mansion, and it was still growing at an incredible pace. This made the Divine Tree even more sacred in her eyes.

Moreover, while the Su Family Village had previously only received leaves from the Divine Tree, this time, they were given an entire branch with eighteen leaves attached. Su Mu’s generosity was undoubtedly due to the immense value of the Azure Dragon’s blood. The Su Family Village had brought him such a bountiful harvest, so he could not be stingy in return. Restoring a branch required about 180 years of lifespan, which was nothing compared to the value of the Azure Dragon’s blood.

An hour later, Su Yao returned to the Su Family Village, where the core members eagerly awaited her.

Su Yao took out the branch from her sleeve.

“A branch?” The core members of the Su Family Village were astonished. It was the first time they had received a branch from the Divine Tree.

“Will this branch be useful?” they hesitated. They had witnessed the power of the Divine Tree’s leaves, which, while impressive, seemed ineffective against the demon.

Su Yao saw their doubts. “This time, it’s different,” she said, though she didn’t know exactly how. She could sense that this branch contained the Divine Tree’s spiritual power, unlike the previous leaves that only carried the Divine Tree’s energy.

The next moment, they saw mist rising from the branch, spreading out from it as the center.
