In the underground cavern, Su Yao placed the gray stone into a scented pouch at her waist and began her cultivation. With the three portions of wood-element spiritual liquid she had absorbed, her cultivation base skyrocketed. In just half a day, she advanced from mid-Golden Core stage to the peak of the Golden Core stage. Additionally, a vast amount of energy was stored within her body, waiting for the moment when she would comprehend the path to Nascent Soul and break through.

Three days later, the others, including the Emperor, emerged from their seclusion. As expected, the Emperor had successfully broken through the Golden Core realm, becoming a Nascent Soul powerhouse, and not just any Nascent Soul, but one at the mid-stage. Prime Minister Liang was only a step away from reaching the Nascent Soul stage himself.

What surprised both of them was that Su Yao’s cultivation had also surged to the peak of the Golden Core stage! They didn’t suspect anything unusual, merely assuming that Su Yao’s talent was even more remarkable than they had imagined. Compared to Su Yao, the other prodigies who had entered the spiritual land didn’t show nearly the same level of improvement.

“Su Yao,” Prime Minister Liang remarked, clearly impressed. Su Yao’s current strength was no longer just that of a potential successor; she was already capable of standing alongside him.

At that moment, the Emperor seemed to sense something. With a sudden move, he struck the ground, creating a hole that led to an even deeper cavern below. Upon seeing the empty cavern, the Emperor’s expression darkened significantly. Prime Minister Liang joined him.

“Your Majesty, it seems that presence sensed the danger and fled beforehand,” Prime Minister Liang said gravely. They didn’t suspect Su Yao at all. After all, when they first discovered that entity, it was already at the fourth tier, and Su Yao had only been at the mid-Golden Core stage when she entered. Thus, they concluded that the entity must have sensed the danger and escaped with the spiritual land’s treasures.

Meanwhile, in the Misty Forbidden Zone, Su Mu returned with a vast amount of wood-element energy. This energy quickly converted into lifespan.

“Two hundred and ten thousand years of lifespan,” Su Mu noted, pleasantly surprised by this unexpected gain. His total lifespan now exceeded two hundred and twenty thousand years.

“Upgrade Earth Force,” Su Mu commanded.

One hundred and fifty thousand years of lifespan vanished, and the Earth Force instantly upgraded to the eighth tier. The terrain of the Misty Forbidden Zone immediately transformed. The distance between Su Mu and the edge of the Ancient Wilderness Mountains increased from a hundred miles to one hundred and fifty miles. The Sui River expanded to one hundred and fifty feet wide. The underground world also saw significant expansion. The shallowest depth deepened from ten thousand feet to ten thousand five hundred feet, while the deepest part extended to fourty thousand five hundred feet. The underground space’s height increased to thirty thousand feet, with a diameter extending to one hundred fifty thousand feet, equivalent to one hundred miles. This area was now comparable to a large human city.

The leap from the seventh to the eighth tier proved to be a significant milestone, bringing about much greater improvements than before. Additionally, Su Mu noticed a remarkable change deep within the underground world. He sensed the emergence of something resembling an underground mountain range, filled with spiritual energy.

“A spirit mine?” Su Mu mused, intrigued.

However, upon further investigation, he discovered that it wasn’t a physical spirit mine. The “underground mountain range” was more like the Misty Flood Dragon, existing in a gaseous form.

“An Earth Dragon?” Su Mu thought, finding the phenomenon fascinating.

“I still have seventy-two thousand years of lifespan remaining,” Su Mu returned his focus to his data panel. He decided to enhance his Metal Splitting Power.

Twenty thousand years of lifespan vanished, raising the Metal Splitting Power to the sixth tier. Another fifty thousand years of lifespan brought it to the seventh tier. The next moment, Su Mu’s cultivation base loosened, advancing from fourth-tier supreme grade to fourth-tier perfect grade!

The “perfection” level was unique. Su Mu had observed other monsters, but none had this level. Only he had a “perfection” tier beyond the supreme level.

“However, when I was at the third tier, I didn’t have a perfection level,” Su Mu pondered. “The perfection level allows each tier to reach its ultimate potential. It seems that I have to make up for missing the perfection of the third level.”

Back then, facing the threat of the Great Xia Empire’s national treasure, Su Mu had hastily advanced to the fourth tier without fully consolidating his third-tier foundation. While this didn’t pose any immediate risks, it left his cultivation less than flawless. Su Mu knew he would soon have the opportunity to address this gap.

He glanced at his data panel:

[Species: Spirit Ginkgo Tree]
[Height: 900 feet]
Llifespan: 2000 years]
[Rank: Fourth-tier, Perfect]
[Abilities: Innate Talent Duplication, Life Essence Condensation, Heaven and Human Induction, Seventh-tier Earth Fiend Transformation, Eight-tier Power of Mist, Eight-tier Earth Force, Seventh-tier Phantom Snow Eye, Seventh-tier Sword Mastery, Seventh-tier Water Breathing, Seventh-tier Heart of Faith, Seventh-tier Metal Splitting Power, Fourth-tier Heart Peering, Fourth-tier Bloodsucking Power.]

Meanwhile, Su Yao returned to Taikang City with Prime Minister Liang and the Emperor, just as quietly as they had left. Prime Minister Liang immediately appointed Su Yao as the Vice Pavilion Master of the Heavenly Pavilion.

The Emperor also conferred upon her the title of Prime Minister Order Scribe, officially making her a high-ranking official of the Great Xia Empire. Su Yao instantly became the most dazzling rising star in the empire.

The very next day, Su Yao led a military force to Qingzhou. On the one hand, it was a homecoming for her; on the other, she was tasked with investigating the situation in Qingzhou and establishing contact with the Misty Forbidden Zone.

On the fourth day, Su Yao arrived in Qingzhou. She brought only a few trusted followers with her and entered the territory of the Misty Forbidden Zone. These trusted followers were then stationed in Su City, while she ventured deeper into the forbidden zone alone. Her subordinates admired her bravery, thinking she was fearless for daring to enter the Misty Forbidden Zone alone.

However, they didn’t know that for Su Yao, entering the Misty Forbidden Zone was like returning home. In Taikang, she had to tread carefully, fearful of revealing her true identity. But in the Misty Forbidden Zone, she could finally be herself without any pretense.

Whoosh!

A stone flew out from the scented pouch at Su Yao’s waist. It moved at incredible speed, and within a few dozen breaths, it reached the core of the Misty Forbidden Zone, landing at the base of a massive ginkgo tree. A shadow flickered from the stone, revealing the figure of an old man with white hair. As he gazed at the ginkgo tree, he became even more convinced that his previous judgment was correct. The ginkgo tree’s aura was now incredibly close to the fifth tier. No matter how strong he was, he couldn’t hope to challenge such an existence.

“How did you advance to this level?” the old man asked, incredulous. “Are you truly some ancient deity reborn?”

“Of course,” a black ox nearby answered. “This is the Ancient Enlightenment Tree.”

The black ox was deeply wary of the old man. After its recent encounters, it had advanced to the fourth tier, but even so, it felt that the old man was still stronger. The old man, too, was wary when he saw the black ox.
