Dear readers, I'll be updating chapters once every two weeks. Don't worry multiple chapters will be updated.

‘How could Jiang Minghui be so petty? He actually followed Xia Zhixu to the dormitory to beat him up. Xia Zhixu was already a crybaby, so if he got beaten up, wouldn’t he cry even more? By then, his tears would form an ocean, and Yuan Bao would have no choice but to be soaking in it, and turn into a sea urchin…’

‘That’s too cruel.’

Yuan Bao shuddered.

During system training, it had been taught that in such situations, one must first conduct a systematic analysis of the target and then provide the host with the optimal suggestion.

Yuan Bao hurriedly analysed Jiang Minghui.

Upon seeing the results, Yuan Bao was dumbfounded—

System analysis results:

Name: Jiang Minghui,

Mental State: Below Average,

Height: 182 cm Weight…

The target’s affection for the host is at seventy per cent, classified as a romantic category.

Level: Likes,

Danger Level: Low…

Yuan Bao hurriedly stopped Xia Zhixu, who was about to run away, “Host, wait!! He doesn’t seem to be here to beat you up!”

Xia Zhixu, “Huh? Really?”

Yuan Bao, “Really… Ah, no… yes, really!”

‘Ugh! The host has led me astray!’

‘It wasn’t trying to act cute!’

Yuan Bao, “Host, don’t be afraid. Walk up with your chest out and your head held high, and use your chin to stare him down!” ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Xia Zhixu, “Chin? I can’t see my chin though!”

Yuan Bao, “…”

‘Host, if you’re so honest, you’ll get bullied.’

Jiang Minghui saw Xia Zhixu standing there, seemingly unwilling to come over, and frowned slightly as he strode forward.

Yuan Bao, “Just do what I say—lift your chin and face Jiang Minghui.”

Xia Zhixu lifted his chin and blinked up at Jiang Minghui.

Jiang Minghui opened his mouth to ask Xia Zhixu something, but was hit by a critical blow.

‘Xia Zhixu looked like a confused kitten.’

Seeing Jiang Minghui freeze, Xia Zhixu couldn’t help but say, “Yuan Bao, you’re amazing. He’s not moving anymore.”

Yuan Bao looked at Jiang Minghui’s heart rate, “…”

‘This heart rate isn’t quite right!!’ (╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻

‘Although the situation’s a little off-track, the result… is still acceptable.’

Xia Zhixu prepared to escape while Jiang Minghui was distracted, but just as she brushed past him, Jiang Minghui grabbed the back of his collar and pulled him back.

Xia Zhixu didn’t like strangers getting too close to him, so he struggled to break free from Jiang Minghui’s grip.

Jiang Minghui let go of Xia Zhixu, who immediately took two steps back to create some distance between them, staring warily at him.

Jiang Minghui, “…”

‘He didn’t mean any harm, so why was Xia Zhixu being so defensive?’

Xia Zhixu clenched his teeth.

‘Who was to blame for the original host’s outrageous actions? If Jiang Minghui were to beat him up, at least this matter could be resolved!’

“…If you’re still angry and want to beat me up, then go ahead!” Xia Zhixu said defiantly, then paused and raised his index finger.

“I have just one request—don’t hit my face.”

Jiang Minghui looked at Xia Zhixu, who was standing there with a heroic sacrifice expression, and only then realised, ‘So Xia Zhixu thought he was going to beat him up?’

Xia Zhixu stood there, lifting his delicate little face.

Although his family didn’t take care of Xia Zhixu, Song Qingchuan had raised him very well, making him fairer than most boys. Jiang Minghui could almost see the fine fuzz on his face.

He swallowed hard and said helplessly, “I didn’t say I was going to hit you!”

Xia Zhixu, who had closed his eyes, heard this and cautiously opened them, his face filled with disbelief, “… You’re really not here to beat me up.”

Jiang Minghui chuckled softly, finding Xia Zhixu utterly adorable. Using the word ‘adorable’ for a man felt a bit out of place, but it fit Xia Zhixu perfectly. He didn’t seem girly at all, yet undeniably adorable.

He had the urge to ruffle Xia Zhixu’s curly hair.

“After hearing what you said today, I thought about it for a long time. I admire your courage. I’m certain that I like you, so I’ve decided to start pursuing you all over again.”

Jiang Minghui looked at Xia Zhixu seriously, with a touch of excitement and sincerity. There were no bets, no tricks—just a true, fresh start. He was confident that he could win Xia Zhixu over.

“You used to like the cakes from this place, right? I bought one for you.”

Jiang Minghui smiled as he held up the small cake in his hand.

Xia Zhixu hurriedly waved his hands, “No, no… I can’t accept this… You shouldn’t like me either. I already have someone I like! Go like someone else instead…”

Xia Zhixu saw the chocolate cake inside the transparent packaging. The original host had similar tastes to him after all…

“Even if you have someone you like, it doesn’t stop me from pursuing you.”

Jiang Minghui hadn’t expected to be rejected.

Xia Zhixu even refused the cake, which made him a bit upset.

“Since you can see things so clearly, you should realise that Song Qingchuan is a poor guy with no education or status. He can’t give you what you want. If you feel guilty toward him, I can give him some money as compensation… You’re so outstanding—you should aim higher. It’s natural for people to be a bit selfish. I believe I’m more suitable for you than he is…”

“You’re talking nonsense!” Xia Zhixu glared at Jiang Minghui angrily, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

“You don’t understand anything at all. Song Qingchuan is the best person in the world. I won’t let you insult him like that! You think you’re better for me than he is? If he had a hundred yuan, he would give it all to me. But you, with your ten million, would only give me a hundred thousand—it’s not the same! Just because you can give me a hundred thousand doesn’t mean you get to look down on his hundred yuan. Maybe most mature people would think like you, but I don’t need your hundred thousand. Song Qingchuan is the best. Even if we have to eat bark and grass together, I’d do it willingly!”

What Xia Zhixu didn’t cherish before was the beautiful dream he had dared not even dream of for years.

Whether it was Lu Heyan or Song Qingchuan, a heart filled with sincere devotion cannot be tarnished. Such feelings are worthless to those who weigh the pros and cons, but he didn’t want to be such a ‘clever’ person.

He, Xia Zhixu, was that kind of fool… If others gave him ten points, he wanted to give them twenty points in return.

Before Jiang Minghui could react, Xia Zhixu stormed off angrily.

It took a moment for Jiang Minghui to come to his senses. He looked toward the dormitory building. Xia Zhixu had already gone inside. Lowering his gaze to the cake in his hand, he didn’t seem angry—if anything, he felt a little envious of Song Qingchuan.

‘But why did Xia Zhixu say that he has ten million but is only willing to give him a hundred thousand?’

‘Why couldn’t he be the kind of person who gives a hundred dollars if he has a hundred dollars? Xia Zhixu is prejudiced against him!’

Yuan Bao watched Xia Zhixu, cheeks puffed with anger, muttering all the way, “Seriously, is he sick or what? Why would he say that about Song Qingchuan! He’s definitely sick!”

Yuan Bao was certain that Xia Zhixu was truly a pampered young master who had never really cursed much in his life.

‘With that level of cursing skills, he could be cursed to tears if thrown into a pile of elementary school students. Elementary school students are too difficult as opponents, so maybe college students then…’

‘Still, the furious Xia Zhixu was also quite cute, with his little curls bouncing up and down with every step.’

Yuan Bao, “Host, don’t be angry. We won’t stoop to his level! They’re all scoundrels!”

Xia Zhixu, “Hmph, you’re right. They’re all scoundrels.”

Yuan Bao looked at the silly tuft of hair on Xia Zhixu’s head and nodded in agreement.

‘Look, even his hair is sticking up from anger.’
