- Chapter 69 - Holding Tight to the Big Boss of the Apocalypse (33)
Ten or so people were bustling around, doing physical work. Luo Ning was also busy helping to plant vegetables and cook. Since the base lacked people, they needed to recruit some ability users and ordinary people.
Ability wasn’t the most important, what mattered was character. If anyone had ulterior motives, they wouldn’t hesitate to expel them immediately upon discovery.
Currently, the base didn’t offer many benefits, but as long as it ensured members wouldn’t starve and could eat vegetables at every meal, that was already a rare thing in this apocalypse. They didn’t need to worry about attracting people.
They had to consider all aspects. Although it was a bit busy, Luo Ning felt fulfilled and began to look forward to the future.
He originally felt quite pleased. After such tiring work, all he had to do was complain that he was tired and play a little spoiled, and Mu Chengfeng wouldn’t be willing to torment him all night, making life very comfortable.
His legs no longer ached, and his head wasn’t hurting anymore.
As the number of members in the base began to increase, Mu Chengfeng could no longer hold back. After days of tension, he erupted like a volcano, full of passion.
He pressed Luo Ning firmly against the sofa, his thin lips biting down and leaving a trail of marks on his collarbone. Red marks dotted his fingers and the tops of his feet. His large hands gripped Luo Ning’s waist tightly, kneading it hard.
Luo Ning felt both scared and nervous, his eyelashes were damp with mist, and his face was flushed. His small mouth was red from being bitten. He let out soft whimpers, looking both pitiful and adorable as he pounded Mu Chengfeng’s chest. “Why are you so excited? This is too much.”
Mu Chengfeng was like a hungry wolf now, biting Luo Ning’s fingers. His gaze was deep, his voice turning hoarse, “Baby, our intimacy has decreased lately. Aren’t you going to comfort me?”
He relaxed his bite slightly, sending a shiver through Luo Ning. He smiled softly. “Don’t you miss me?”
Luo Ning turned his head away in embarrassment and annoyance, wanting to deny it, but the relentless kisses fell like raindrops. He hesitated for a long moment and finally hummed.
Mu Chengfeng smiled. “Baby, I love you so much.”
Luo Ning’s heart melted, feeling warm and soft, as if he were lying in a marshmallow, fireworks exploding all around him. He reached up to wrap his arms around Mu Chengfeng’s neck and said with a nasal voice, “Me too.”
…
Husky was an inherently active creature, a rather lively spirit beast. Besides tearing up the base, Flower Pig would go out bouncing every day. Its abilities was growing stronger, and it was able to incinerate a large group of zombies.
Luo Ning figured that the zombies wouldn’t chase after a dog, so he felt comfortable letting it go out.
Occasionally, Flower Pig would bring back some meat. Although some animals were dead or mutated, there were still some edible ones.
In the afternoon, Flower Pig returned with a roasted chicken in its mouth, its fur flying as it dashed with all four hooves, moving at top speed as if something were chasing it.
As it ran, it was spitting fireballs.
Mu Chengfeng’s brow twitched. This stupid dog must be causing trouble again.
As it got closer, he realized it was an emerald green vine with a rose blooming at the top, moving rapidly toward them.
Flower Pig: “Awoo, awoo…”
The fireballs it shot out were dodged by the vine as it burrowed into the ground. Flower Pig quickly glanced at Mu Chengfeng, then hid behind Luo Ning, its tail fur standing on end.
The vine was furious, thrashing its branches around. It had been peacefully resting in the forest, and this damn dog actually came to nibble on its flowers. It wouldn’t let this damn dog get away!
The emerald green branches kept extending and growing larger, their sharp thorns slicing through the air.
Several ability users quickly defended themselves. The vine could burrow into the ground and move rapidly, making it hard to injure.
The black mist in Mu Chengfeng’s palm seemed to have a life of its own and spread out. When the vine touched it, its branches shrank back as if they were being burned and began to struggle.
It was clear that Flower Pig had caused the trouble, so Mu Chengfeng had no intention of harming the vine.
