Chapter 94: Always Causing Me Trouble!

***

After finishing the discussion, Xia Ruoming checked the time and prepared to return to her dormitory, because she had left something behind when she hurriedly took Jiang Ruhua to rest earlier.

The moment she opened the room, Xia Ruoming felt herself go numb.

The originally white bedsheet had been stained with quite a bit of blood, and even… it was hard to say this was originally a white bedsheet.

“Say, little princess, even if I’m not around, you don’t need to start World War 2 in my room, right?” Xia Ruoming raised her eyebrows and said in an unfriendly tone, after all, she would have to clean this herself.

“Xia Ruoming! You crazy woman… can’t you see I’m… suffering…” Though Jiang Ruhua was shouting these words, her voice was extremely weak, barely audible.

Helplessly, Xia Ruoming walked forward and touched Jiang Ruhua. Despite the hot weather, Jiang Ruhua’s ice-cold hands and feet startled Xia Ruoming.

“Always causing me trouble… idiot…” Xia Ruoming said softly. In her previous life, Jiang Ruhua was also like this, whenever her period came, she would become completely weak, with no ability to do anything.

After glancing at the trash can, Xia Ruoming discovered that during the time she was away, Jiang Ruhua seemed to have only eaten some cookies.

“We’ve only known each other for a short while, how am I already always causing you trouble…” Although Jiang Ruhua was very weak, she didn’t forget to argue with Xia Ruoming.

“Shut up, you’re so annoying. Just lie here properly. If you annoy me more, I’ll kick you out of my dorm.” After running her fingers through her hair, Xia Ruoming slammed the door and left the dorm. This stupid woman didn’t even bring sanitary pads when going out. After she came to Zhejiang University, these four years would probably never be peaceful.

Compared to Xu Fengwu, she found that she was actually more afraid of Jiang Ruhua. This little princess, who would become a strong career woman in the future, often acted like a stupid woman.

After selecting a pack of Whisper sanitary pads, two packs of brown sugar ginger tea, and heating pads at the supermarket, Xia Ruoming hurriedly ran back to the dorm.

“Xia Ruoming… where are you…”

“Ruoming… where did you go…”

Feeling her only lifeline disappear, Jiang Ruhua’s heart instantly became panicked. That feeling of unease immediately occupied her entire heart.

“What are you yelling about? So annoying.” The sound of keys opening the door and Xia Ruoming’s voice came from the entrance. “Went to buy stuff for you.”

With her exceptionally good hearing, Xia Ruoming had heard Jiang Ruhua calling for her outside the door. In her current weak state, she could only make some whimpering sounds, and Xia Ruoming didn’t want people nearby to misunderstand that she was doing something strange.

Jiang Ruhua looked at the impatient Xia Ruoming and could only glare at her with resentful eyes. She wasn’t completely dependent on her, but she was already too weak to get up. Shouldn’t she show a little tenderness? Shouldn’t women at least show some compassion towards patients? Why was she still so hateful…

For some unknown reason, Jiang Ruhua had developed a kind of dependence on Xia Ruoming, and she was very annoyed by this feeling.

“If you’re sick, just be obedient, don’t keep causing me trouble.” After skillfully making a cup of brown sugar ginger tea, Xia Ruoming gently helped Jiang Ruhua sit up, then fed her the hot tea bit by bit.

Afterwards, Xia Ruoming put the heating pad on Jiang Ruhua’s stomach.

Sitting beside Jiang Ruhua, Xia Ruoming smelled that faint perfume on her, exactly the same as in her previous life. In her previous life, Jiang Ruhua also liked this perfume, and even required her to use this perfume before being her pillow princess.

Perhaps due to an added sense of dependence, Jiang Ruhua leaned her body over. Xia Ruoming instinctively wanted to hug Jiang Ruhua, just like in her previous life, but when she touched that cold body, Xia Ruoming suddenly remembered that this wasn’t her previous life anymore, and her financial agreement with Jiang Ruhua had long since ended.

Xia Ruoming sighed imperceptibly and withdrew her hand that was frozen in mid-air.

The moment she withdrew her hand, Xia Ruoming felt her face darken, and that slight tenderness that might have come from some sort of maternal instinct instantly disappeared, because when she was putting the heating pad on Jiang Ruhua, she got blood all over her sleeve, which she only just noticed.

But considering that Jiang Ruhua was indeed very weak, she didn’t say much about it.

“Get some sleep, little princess. We’ll talk when you’re feeling better. Don’t force yourself.” As she spoke, Xia Ruoming covered Jiang Ruhua’s eyes with her hand.

Jiang Ruhua nodded slightly, her eyelashes gently brushing against Xia Ruoming’s palm before she fell into a deep sleep.

……

……

When Jiang Ruhua opened her eyes, it seemed to be dusk already, and Xia Ruoming was nowhere to be seen in the room again.

“Ruoming… Ruoming!” Not seeing Xia Ruoming, Jiang Ruhua became nervous again.

“What? Don’t shout so loud at night, little princess, you’re not the only one here.” Xia Ruoming walked out from another room, speaking slowly.

Just wanting to draw alone in peace, this life really couldn’t get any better.

Jiang Ruhua glared at Xia Ruoming again. If this woman didn’t open her mouth to speak, she would be perfect. Even those young ladies would probably be fascinated by her.

“Alright, stop glaring at me, little princess. Can you move by yourself now?” Xia Ruoming asked, looking at Jiang Ruhua who seemed to have more energy.

“What! You want to kick me out? I won’t leave!” Saying this, Jiang Ruhua curled up on the bed. “If you want to kick me out, I’ll stay here forever just to spite you.”

Looking at Jiang Ruhua acting childish again, Xia Ruoming didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. She hadn’t thought about kicking Jiang Ruhua out.

“Look, little princess, what are you thinking about? This dorm is too small, it’s not good for taking care of a patient like you. Didn’t you say this room was too depressing? How about I take you to the villa I just bought?” Looking at the suspicious Jiang Ruhua, Xia Ruoming felt like she was already acting like an old mother.

“Really… you better not trick me and abandon me on the roadside!” The vigilant light in Jiang Ruhua’s eyes hadn’t dispersed.

“Why would I trick you, little princess? Can you get up and walk by yourself?” Xia Ruoming held her forehead. Did she really look like the kind of bad woman who would lie at every turn?

Jiang Ruhua supported herself to get off the bed, then barely got to her feet, trying to take a few steps.

But before even reaching the door, she stumbled and almost fell, fortunately, Xia Ruoming was quick to catch her, holding her in her arms.

That rich and enchanting fragrance from Jiang Ruhua’s body once again entered Xia Ruoming’s nostrils, making her uncontrollably recall those times with Jiang Ruhua in her previous life. If Jiang Ruhua wasn’t considered a patient right now, she might have pushed her away, because this made her completely unable to stay calm.
