Chapter 68: Erotic Fantasies

When an Alpha marks an Omega, they typically engage in a frenzied, all-consuming act. However, since they weren’t a couple, the usual post-marking rituals weren’t necessary. This didn’t mean Pei Yanbing was unaffected by the pheromonal arousal.

Yuan Shiyuan’s thinking was straightforward.

He couldn’t just let Pei Yanbing do all the work with his mouth while refusing to even lift a finger himself, right?

Back in middle school, his friends had teased him with offers of “mutual assistance,” which he had brushed off with laughter and playful shoves.

Later, they relented, offering to help him unilaterally without requiring him to reciprocate.

Yuan Shiyuan naturally refused.

Letting someone else help with such a thing felt too strange. It was better to handle it himself for peace of mind.

He had never imagined he would proactively offer assistance.

Perhaps the intense pleasure of the temporary mark had shattered his preconceived notions, expanding his tolerance to unprecedented levels.

Adhering to the principle of reciprocity, Yuan Shiyuan generously allowed Pei Yanbing to unveil his “weapon.” But when he actually saw the real thing, his eyes widened in shock.

Yuan Shiyuan: O.O?!

Did it seem even more… astonishing than the last time he saw it?

Yuan Shiyuan quickly averted his gaze, pretending to admire the scenery outside the window and feigning busyness.

Noticing Yuan Shiyuan’s retreat and obvious disgust, Pei Yanbing once again wore a wounded expression.

As if he were a heartless jerk who’d ditch someone after sleeping with them.

Maybe I am being a bit of a jerk…

Pei Yanbing ate and drank, sweating profusely from the effort, yet refused to even help Yuan Shiyuan peel an orange.

Yuan Shiyuan simply couldn’t bring himself to do it; the segments were too large to hold in one hand.

Besides, sitting naked on Pei Yanbing’s lap, peeling orange segments would be courting disaster.

If I help, I might really end up getting marked.

“Captain, you’re too big. I’m not used to rough work, let’s just forget it.” Qi Lingjiusi Liushanshan Linqi said.

“Next time, definitely next time.”

Yuan Shiyuan had to guard his bottom line—protect his pigudrum. He made empty promises while wrapping his arms around Pei Yanbing’s neck.

Pei Yanbing seemed to enjoy skin contact. He tilted his head back, nuzzling his cheek against Yuan Shiyuan’s jaw and mumbled, “Thank you for temporarily marking me.”

“I felt so good just now.”

“You worked hard.”

“……”

The disappointment of his earlier rejection had mostly dissipated under this proactive affection. Pei Yanbing lowered his head to kiss Yuan Shiyuan, but Yuan Shiyuan suddenly covered his lips.

“Hey, hey, what’s this?” Yuan Shiyuan dodged the kiss with a laugh, tilting his head back. “We just kissed for ages. Isn’t that enough?”

“Never enough.”

Pei Yanbing seized Yuan Shiyuan’s wrist and kissed his hand. After a moment’s pause, his voice dropped to a husky whisper, laced with cautious probing: “I want you to mark me.”

Marked by an Omega?

Yuan Shiyuan froze, asking, “Are you sure?”

“I’m sure.”

Pei Yanbing’s breath remained scorching, each exhale against Yuan Shiyuan’s neck sending shivers down his spine.

Combined with the tangerine-segment’s reaction, it finally dawned on him: this S-rank alpha’s susceptible period was far from over.

Does he still need a mark from me?

Of course.

The higher the Alpha’s rank, the more difficult their susceptible periods were to endure. Perhaps Pei Yanbing simply needed a temporary mark for reassurance.

“Another mark?” Yuan Shiyuan arched an eyebrow, a playful smile playing on his lips as he deliberately nudged his knee against Pei Yanbing’s outline. “So greedy.”

Pei Yanbing’s breathing faltered abruptly.

I wonder if you’ll even remember this later…

If Pei Yanbing remembered this scene after regaining consciousness, his expression would surely be priceless.

But forgetting it was the most likely outcome.

Many Alphas lose their minds during their susceptible periods, completely unaware of their actions. Even after the period ends, their memories remain fragmented and hazy, like waking from a drunken stupor.

“Let’s just chalk it up to drunken folly. Forgetting it would be for the best. After all, we’re just helping each other out.”

Yuan Shiyuan nonchalantly reached out, hooked a finger under Pei Yanbing’s collar, and tugged downward. “Lean down.”

At the command, Pei Yanbing’s brow furrowed deeply, as if about to protest. But Yuan Shiyuan had already looped his arm around Pei Yanbing’s neck, saying,

“Let’s get this over with quickly—mark you and get back to sleep early.”

Late at night, what a hassle.

“Lower your head,” Yuan Shiyuan said. “A little lower.”

Yuan Shiyuan couldn’t be bothered to move, leaving it entirely to the Alpha to present his nape. Pei Yanbing obediently bent his head, exposing the back of his neck fully to Yuan Shiyuan’s view.

This posture of complete submission greatly satisfied Yuan Shiyuan’s desire for control.

He bit down swiftly.

A temporary mark required only a minute, Yuan Shiyuan’s pheromones flowing quickly. But for Pei Yanbing, it felt like an eternity.

The moment Yuan Shiyuan’s canines pierced his gland, Pei Yanbing let out a muffled groan. Yuan Shiyuan felt the muscles in the Alpha’s palms tense, his fingers digging sharply into his waist.

Pei Yanbing clutched Yuan Shiyuan’s waist tightly, his breathing ragged.

The fresh, sweet pheromones surged into his gland, carrying Yuan Shiyuan’s unique warmth as they exploded within his veins.

Pei Yanbing could clearly sense that he was becoming the other’s possession.

The marking was complete. When Yuan Shiyuan released his lips, he saw a windbell flower pattern slowly emerge on Pei Yanbing’s gland, its color faint, glimmering faintly in the moonlight.

He stared in surprise, taking a second look. Was this the sign of a successful mark?

Did it mean Pei Yanbing was now his Alpha?

A faint trace of blood lingered above the gland. Yuan Shiyuan initially didn’t intend to bother with it, but recalling Pei Yanbing’s previous attentiveness, he lowered his head, extended the tip of his tongue, and slowly licked it clean.

Having done so, Yuan Shiyuan’s expression remained perfectly composed, as if he’d merely brushed away a speck of dust.

After all, having tasted deeper levels of pheromones before, the S-rank pheromone in the blood held little allure for him.

“Is this enough now?”

This was Yuan Shiyuan’s first time temporarily marking someone, and he was rather inexperienced. He considerately inquired about Pei Yanbing’s feelings, only to be suddenly pulled into the Alpha’s embrace.

A flurry of kisses rained down on Yuan Shiyuan’s face. Pei Yanbing kissed him haphazardly on the cheeks, the corners of his eyes, and his swollen lips, his hoarse voice repeatedly murmuring, “I like it… I like it so much.”

Yuan Shiyuan chuckled between kisses. “You really like my pheromones, huh?”

“Mm-hmm.”

Pei Yanbing’s breathing grew ragged as he pressed his face against the back of Yuan Shiyuan’s hand, rubbing it reverently as if worshiping a sacred relic. He looked up at Yuan Shiyuan earnestly, repeating, “I like it so much.”

“As long as you like it,” Yuan Shiyuan said, patting Pei Yanbing’s cheek with the back of his hand. “You must be quite excited after a successful marking. Calm down a bit.”

Pei Yanbing desperately wanted to remain calm.

But his body refused to obey. The temporary mark Yuan Shiyuan had given him was like a key, unlocking all his pent-up desires.

Pei Yanbing only wanted to hold Yuan Shiyuan close, unwilling to part from his Omega even for a moment.

After receiving the temporary mark, Pei Yanbing became even more clingy and excitable. He held Yuan Shiyuan in his arms, kissing him relentlessly, leading him from the lounge all the way to the piano room.

It wasn’t until Pei Yanbing pinned him against the cold piano and continued kissing him that Yuan Shiyuan finally offered a small protest, muttering, “No!”

Yuan Shiyuan turned his head, his wet, gleaming eyes glancing at the stark black and white keys. His breath came in ragged gasps. “This piano is very expensive!”

The keys were pressed haphazardly, producing a discordant series of notes. Pei Yanbing cushioned Yuan Shiyuan’s head with his palm, his thin lips grinding against Yuan Shiyuan’s swollen lips.

Yuan Shiyuan worried about the piano, but Pei Yanbing couldn’t care less. His gaze was fixed on Yuan Shiyuan’s tear-reddened eyes and his kiss-swollen lips.

Finally, Pei Yanbing reluctantly released Yuan Shiyuan’s lips.

He sat down on the piano bench, pulling Yuan Shiyuan into his lap. His fingers drifted across the keys, playing a tune just for Yuan Shiyuan.

The two of them sat in languid comfort. Yuan Shiyuan leaned against Pei Yanbing’s shoulder, looking up to meet Pei Yanbing’s downward gaze.

Beneath his eyes, now clear as thin ice, was only the pure moonlight, reflecting only his own silhouette.

Yuan Shiyuan paused, startled, then looked back out the glass window.

The sky seemed to be brightening.

What time did I leave the dormitory? Have I really been out here this long?

Yuan Shiyuan blinked sleepily, yawning. His gaze landed on the exquisite vase on the windowsill.

Inside the vase was a fresh bouquet of bellflowers.

“You keep flowers?” Yuan Shiyuan stared for a moment before realizing something was off. “Wait… are these the ones I gave you before?”

Pei Yanbing’s piano playing faltered, the melody breaking for half a beat before resuming smoothly. “Mm-hmm.”

He added softly, “Can I… keep taking care of them?”

The casual gift Yuan Shiyuan had given him had been carefully preserved all this time.

“Of course, they’re yours now.” He marveled, “You’ve kept them so well.”

The vase contained a special nutrient solution to keep the flowers fresh for an extended period. But the bouquet had clearly been meticulously arranged; each flower’s position was nearly identical to when Yuan Shiyuan had given them.

This felt as though Pei Yanbing were trying to freeze that day in time, preserving the flowers forever in the moment they were gifted.

“Captain, you’re so thoughtful,” Yuan Shiyuan remarked, genuinely impressed. “And so meticulous—even noticing such tiny details.”

“Because you… captivate me so deeply.”

Pei Yanbing’s voice was soft, yet against the backdrop of the slow, melodious piano music, it sounded as clear as a whisper in Yuan Shiyuan’s ear.

Yuan Shiyuan blinked in surprise. “Me? Captivate you?”

What a joke.

Pei Yanbing lowered his gaze, his eyes unusually earnest. “Everything about you… captivates me.”

Yuan Shiyuan’s pupils dilated.

Could a temporary mark really have such a powerful effect? To make someone as aloof as Pei Yanbing say such saccharine words?

Yuan Shiyuan let the words drift in one ear and out the other—it wasn’t like Pei Yanbing really meant them. He adjusted his position, found a comfortable spot, and nestled into Pei Yanbing’s arms.

Rest, and enjoy this rare moment of tranquility.

Yuan Shiyuan dozed off briefly. When he woke, he found Pei Yanbing’s fingers intertwined with his in one hand, while the other continued to dance across the piano keys, the melody as gentle as a lullaby.

Is he trying to lull me back to sleep?

Having practiced piano since childhood, Pei Yanbing could play effortlessly without sheet music. Yuan Shiyuan yawned lazily, then placed his own hand on the keys, his fingertips following the rhythm as he joined Pei Yanbing in playing the second half of the piece.

Alpha’s fingers abruptly froze mid-stroke.

Yuan Shiyuan raised an eyebrow, his tone teasing, “Captain, you played the wrong note.”

Pei Yanbing didn’t reply, merely lowered his head to nuzzle Yuan Shiyuan’s hair.

His breath brushed across Yuan Shiyuan’s scalp, leaving a ticklish sensation.

Yuan Shiyuan didn’t press the teasing further. If Pei Yanbing, an S-rank alpha, could misplay such a simple tune, he must be utterly exhausted.

“You should get some sleep,” Yuan Shiyuan said. “You haven’t slept all night. Your body can’t keep going like this.”

But Pei Yanbing gripped Yuan Shiyuan’s hand, his voice unusually cautious, “Will you still be here when I wake up?”

“Of course.”

Is that true?

Deep in Pei Yanbing’s eyes, a barely perceptible fear lurked.

He dared not fall asleep, unsure whether this was reality or hallucination. If it was a dream, he wished this false warmth could linger just a little longer.

Just a little longer.

But Yuan Shiyuan’s voice was too gentle, like a sedative, slowly easing the tension from Pei Yanbing’s taut nerves.

Pei Yanbing lay down on the clothes-strewn floor, pulling Yuan Shiyuan down with him.

He fashioned a nest from his own clothes, cradling his Omega as they retreated to their makeshift den. Lowering his head, he inhaled deeply, savoring the scent emanating from Yuan Shiyuan’s skin.

It was entirely his scent.

“Will you still be here when I wake up?” Pei Yanbing asked, his eyes closed, as he gripped Yuan Shiyuan’s wrist.

“Of course,” Yuan Shiyuan replied, giving the same answer as before. “I’ll always be here.”

They were teammates. Unless he quit the group, he would naturally always be here.

As dawn broke, the sun rose in the east. Yuan Shiyuan gazed at the sleeping Pei Yanbing, then at the gradually brightening sky, knowing it was time to leave.

Releasing a flood of pheromones to soothe the Alpha, Yuan Shiyuan slowly extricated himself from Pei Yanbing’s embrace and returned to the lounge. He activated the fresh air system throughout the suite.

After retrieving a disposable pair of underwear from the wardrobe, he triple-checked for any lingering belongings.

Pei Yanbing had already tidied up the room earlier.

Normally, Pei Yanbing wouldn’t remember tonight’s events. But Yuan Shiyuan, soft-hearted as ever, had given him a temporary mark.

The mark could be erased, but the scar from biting through the gland couldn’t be concealed.

If Pei Yanbing really finds out… then let me take the blame.

Pei Yanbing had once been on Yuan Shiyuan’s preferred list, but after taking one look at his citrus-segment-sized appendage not long ago, Yuan Shiyuan had gotten cold feet.

I’d rather not get my insides torn apart.

As he left the music room, Yuan Shiyuan glanced back at Pei Yanbing.

An Alpha who had been comforted by an Omega should be sleeping soundly, yet Pei Yanbing’s brow was deeply furrowed, his fingers clenched tightly around the fabric of his clothes, as if trapped in a disturbing nightmare.

The music room door closed softly. Yuan Shiyuan walked around the corner to wait for the stairs, where he would attempt to remove the mark for the first time.

Removing a temporary mark was simple, requiring only an exceptionally strong control over pheromones. He released a flood of his own pheromones, completely devouring the S-rank Alpha pheromones within his gland.

Soon, the temporary mark on the gland between his legs was completely erased. He had devoured Pei Yanbing’s lingering pheromones entirely.

Next came the task of eliminating the pheromones he had left in Pei Yanbing’s gland.

Yuan Shiyuan focused intently, manipulating his pheromones to draw out the residual traces within the Alpha’s gland, extracting them bit by bit.

In the music room, beads of sweat dotted the forehead of the sleeping Alpha, as if tormented by a nightmare. His breathing came in rapid, ragged gasps, utterly disordered.

No…

No…

Pei Yanbing couldn’t quite grasp what was happening, but he could distinctly feel the Omega’s pheromone being slowly drained from his gland, as if a piece of it were being forcibly carved away. A wave of unease surged up his spine, yet he was powerless to stop it.

He could only watch helplessly as the precious mark he had cherished was gradually extracted, until it vanished completely.

Pei Yanbing’s eyes snapped open with a gasp, as if he had just escaped a nightmare. His mind disoriented, he glanced around.

Empty.

Clothes lay scattered on the floor, and the makeshift nest had collapsed. His gland retained no trace of pheromone.

The figure that had suddenly appeared in the piano room, the kiss offered so willingly, the release of Omega pheromone meant to soothe him, the deliberate parting of knees to allow him to mark him, the image of them playing the piano together, intertwined in an embrace…

It had all been nothing more than a seductive illusion.

As the darkness of night yielded to the dawn, his dream, too, had come to an end.

Pei Yanbing wasn’t surprised. He had never been one of fortune’s favorites; why would fate suddenly favor him now?

How could Yuan Shiyuan have suddenly appeared in the piano room, transformed into an Omega, and allowed him to mark him?

The fresh air system whirred continuously, stripping every trace of pheromones from the air. Pei Yanbing rose expressionlessly, returned to the restroom, turned on the faucet, and calmly splashed water on his face.

As he bent his head, a sharp, tingling sensation suddenly pricked the back of his neck, like a pinprick accompanied by a faint burning sensation.

Pei Yanbing instinctively reached for his nape, his fingertips encountering a rough texture beneath the skin.

He froze, whirling around to face the mirror, his head tilting.

His nape, usually smooth and flawless, now bore a shallow scab. The tiny wound was edged with fresh, unfaded redness.

His fingertips repeatedly stroked the scab, as if trying to verify its reality.

Dreamlike fragments flickered through his mind:

The tangible warmth, the fragrant pheromones…

Was it all just a phantom?

Ding.

The elevator doors slid open, and Yuan Shiyuan was about to step out when a tall, black silhouette suddenly emerged from the shadows of the corridor. Broad-shouldered and ramrod straight, the figure stood motionless, as if having been there for ages.

Startled, Yuan Shiyuan took a half-step back.

The next moment, the Alpha emerged from the shadows, bathed in the morning’s first gentle rays, and greeted him with a disarmingly innocent smile.

“Good morning, Shiyuan.”
