Pretending to Be an Alpha in an All-Alpha Boy Band - Chapter 45
Chapter 45 Intimate Scene
It wasn’t until he entered the ward that Yuan Shiyuan dared to take off his mask and hat; the tip of his nose had broken out in sweat from the heat. The sweltering summer made his whole face flushed, and the pink tips of his hair stuck damply to his temples.
“Drink some water.”
Yuan Xing immediately handed him a cup. “Xiao Ze is going back to school today. Aren’t you supposed to go to the company?”
“Can you really take that many days off?”
Worry creased Yuan Xing’s face—he feared something had happened to Yuan Shiyuan. That concern was understandable: Yuan Shiyuan had just signed a contract and was currently hot; the company should be striking while the iron was hot, not giving him time off.
Logically speaking, Yuan Shiyuan should indeed have been rushing to do appearances, but he’d unexpectedly undergone a second split. Zhuang He, feeling sorry because he was so young, wanted him to have time with family to process it, so he’d made an exception and let Yuan Shiyuan rest.
Yuan Shiyuan didn’t dare mention the second split just then. He tipped his head back, took a gulp of water, and then explained, “Our manager is very careful—every resource gets reviewed for a long time… If they’re letting us off now, they’re probably screening opportunities.”
“When they’re done screening, I’ll get busy.”
Yuan Xing suddenly understood. He didn’t know much about the entertainment industry, but he nodded and said, “Then your manager is good.”
At that moment, Yuan Shiyuan saw a new message: “Huh?”
“What is it?”
“The director of Struggling to Survive is asking if I can take a call now.”
“Go outside and take it,” Yuan Xing said gently. “Don’t let work be delayed.”
Yuan Shiyuan: “It’s fine, I’ll talk right here.”
The director calling from Struggling to Survive was probably work-related. Talking about it in front of Yuan Xing might put his mind at ease a little.
When the call connected, the director cleared his throat, sounding a little awkward: “Xiaoyuan, how are you feeling? Hope I’m not disturbing you. I called because—do you know Master Yu? He’s about to return to the country…”
Yuan Shiyuan didn’t know why Master Yu was being mentioned but answered politely, “That’s great!”
“The granddaughter wants your contact information.” After a lot of preamble, the director finally revealed his real purpose. “Can I give it to her?”
Without the person’s permission, the director shouldn’t casually hand out Yuan Shiyuan’s contact.
“It’s not a blind date or harassment—she just admires you. You know their family plays the piano… She saw clips of you playing and wants your contact.”
Yuan Shiyuan: “Hmm? Give it to her.”
“Shall I give it?” the director asked excitedly, then added, “Actually, she thinks you have a lot of potential and wants to recommend you to Master Yu to be trained—as a last disciple…”
“Then forget it. Don’t give it,” Yuan Shiyuan refused outright.
The director immediately understood: “Okay, got it. I’ll tell her we don’t have your contact.”
That way Yuan Shiyuan wouldn’t be put in an awkward position.
After hanging up, a few wistful lines appeared on Yuan Xing’s pale face. “When you were a kid, we took you to interest classes; a lot of teachers liked you. They said you didn’t need to pay if you learned there.”
From a young age, Yuan Shiyuan had shown astounding musical talent—he picked up any instrument quickly. Many tutors bluntly said he had perfect pitch.
The couple didn’t want his talent wasted, so they tried him in all kinds of training classes, letting him experiment until he found what he truly loved.
They’d also asked whether he wanted to pursue music as a career.
After thinking seriously as a child, Yuan Shiyuan shook his head.
He didn’t want to mix hobby and profession. He enjoyed the pure pleasure music brought and the burst of inspiration during creation. If he had to make a living from music, once tied to livelihood, creation would feel like a task.
“Those were just things the teachers said to encourage me,” Yuan Shiyuan smiled, then shifted the topic. “Have your glands been hurting much recently?”
“No.” Yuan Xing always reported good news first. “You don’t have to worry, and aren’t you having surgery tomorrow? Once the operation is over, everything will be fine.”
Yuan Shiyuan had just nodded in agreement when Yuan Xing frowned and said, “Xiao Yuan, go help me return these books and borrow a few new ones.”
“Okay, I’ll take pictures of the bookshelf for you to choose from.” Yuan Shiyuan stood up briskly.
Yuan Xing liked to read a lot, and his tastes were eclectic; Yuan Shiyuan had followed him since childhood and picked up the habit. He carefully photographed the bookshelf categories and titles, picked a few he thought Yuan Xing would like, and shot close-ups of the covers.
He waited a moment but got no reply from Yuan Xing.
A rising unease flooded his chest.
Yuan Shiyuan practically ran back to the ward. He froze at the door.
Medical staff ringed the bed, and the wires from various machines coiled around Yuan Xing, making his already pale face look even more ashen. His lips were tightly pressed together; he was clearly biting down on severe pain.
“What’s going on?” For an instant Yuan Shiyuan thought he heard ringing in his ears. He wanted to rush to the bedside but feared interfering with treatment, and forced himself to stop.
A nurse efficiently prepared instruments and, making time to answer, said, “Mr. Yuan must have been enduring the pain and rang the bell when he couldn’t take it anymore. It looks like a malignant mass in the gland is pressing on surrounding nerves and blood vessels.”
“The surgery must be moved up!”
Yuan Xing’s gland tissue had been proliferating abnormally; there was a malignant mass inside, and the gland often ached. The gland is a sensitive area—when it hurts, it’s excruciating.
He had thought it was a routine pain episode and, not wanting the child to worry, had sent Yuan Shiyuan away.
Yuan Xing hadn’t expected this pain to be different.
Yuan Shiyuan stood helplessly, wanting to move forward but afraid of disrupting the rescue. His fingers trembled violently. Amid the blinding whiteness, his eyes met Yuan Xing’s on the bed.
“Xiao Yuan…” Yuan Xing’s pale lips moved. Yuan Shiyuan sprang forward and took his cold hand. He forced a smile, “The surgery will be over soon. I’m fine, don’t be afraid…”
Yuan Shiyuan swallowed back a sob and forced another smile. “I’m not scared; you don’t be either. After the surgery, we can go home together.”
Yuan Xing raised a hand as if to touch Yuan Shiyuan’s face, but was pushed into the operating room before he could.
“Why so sudden…”
A doctor hurriedly said, “Don’t worry. Mr. Yuan has had prior tests; his body can withstand surgery… We’ll do our best!”
The operation had been scheduled for the next day; his brother and father had taken time off to be with him.
Now, only Yuan Shiyuan remained.
The beeping of machines, the footsteps of medical staff, the distant murmur of conversation formed a warped, chaotic noise in his ears. He trembled as he sent messages to his father and brother, but there was no reply.
Yuan Shiyuan found an empty corner to sit in. When the world grew a little quieter, he noticed he was shaking badly, terror rampaging through his chest. At that moment the corridor lights flickered, dimming and brightening as if omen-like.
Suddenly, a warm shadow settled over him.
Jiang Heng had appeared nearby without Yuan Shiyuan noticing. Seeing him sitting alone on the bench, his face drained of color, Jiang Heng didn’t hesitate—he took off his coat and, with the Alpha warmth of the garment, created an instant shield that cut off everything else.
Under the roomy coat, Jiang Heng pressed Yuan Shiyuan’s face into his neck and covered his ears with a broad hand, holding him tightly.
“It’s okay.”
Jiang Heng circled Yuan Shiyuan with both arms, his palm rhythmically patting the trembling spine. He bent his head like when they were children, his cheek pressing against Yuan Shiyuan’s, slow little rubs as if two small animals were warming each other.
“When my grandfather’s surgery had less than a 10% success rate, it still turned out fine in the end.”
Jiang Heng soothingly rubbed Yuan Shiyuan’s earlobe and murmured, “So uncle will be fine too.”
His warm, large hand slid to the back of Yuan Shiyuan’s neck and squeezed gently—not too hard, not too light—as if helping him relax. At such close range, Yuan Shiyuan could clearly hear Jiang Heng’s strong heartbeat and low, husky voice.
“I’ll stay with you.”
“Won’t go anywhere.”
The fear of a loved one’s life being uncertain and the helpless panic of being alone seemed to find release in that moment. Even with the hand covering his ear, he could still hear faint sounds from the outside world.
Wrapped in the Alpha’s pheromones and body heat, Yuan Shiyuan slowly regained his breathing rhythm.
He calmed down bit by bit.
In that instant, Yuan Shiyuan felt an overwhelming sense of familiarity with Jiang Heng—one he’d experienced before but hadn’t given much thought to.
The embrace now, and the way Jiang Heng nuzzled his face like a small animal, felt increasingly familiar… as if someone had once done the same to him.
His nerves, soaked in S-rank Alpha pheromones, relaxed. Unconsciously, Yuan Shiyuan leaned further into Jiang Heng’s arms and rested his chin in the hollow of Jiang Heng’s neck.
“I’m a bit…” He hesitated, fingers twisting Jiang Heng’s collar, then said, “I want to smell your pheromones.”
“Now?” Jiang Heng replied. “I can’t release pheromones in a public place.”
Their compatibility was very high; after being soothed by the S-rank pheromones, Yuan Shiyuan felt much better, though still nervous.
He wanted Jiang Heng to release more pheromones for him to smell.
Jiang Heng’s words made Yuan Shiyuan suddenly realize they were still in a hospital corridor corner.
The shared coat covering both of them, like a barrier tailored by Jiang Heng, gave him the illusion of being inside a safe zone.
“Right,” Yuan Shiyuan said. “I wasn’t thinking it through…”
“But you can smell my gland directly,” Jiang Heng said. “It’s not as strong as me releasing pheromones, but direct contact with the gland lets you smell them too.”
Yuan Shiyuan froze. “Is that allowed?”
“Yes.”
Before Yuan Shiyuan could react, a powerful arm slid around his waist and lifted him onto Jiang Heng’s lap. The position forced him to straddle Jiang Heng, his knees sinking into the padded seat on either side.
If he leaned in just a little, he could touch the Alpha’s gland.
Hidden in the corner beneath the oversized coat, they wouldn’t draw anyone’s attention.
Yuan Shiyuan hesitated, torn, but used his slender fingers to part Jiang Heng’s hair and slowly buried his face. The moment his nose brushed that patch of skin, a crisp scent of liquor rose up.
Their compatibility was so high that a single, light inhale strangely relaxed him.
Maybe Jiang Heng’s pheromones smelled of alcohol.
Yuan Shiyuan had only smelled for a moment before dizziness washed over him; the sour-sweet sensation made his expression slightly intoxicated. Unconsciously he bobbed his head and stuck out his tongue to lick gently.
Under the coat, Jiang Heng stiffened, his large hand instinctively supporting Yuan Shiyuan’s waist, suddenly unsure what to do.
Yuan Shiyuan was… licking his gland?
That realization made Jiang Heng’s ear cartilage flush red. He could clearly smell the other’s scent drifting from him, mingling with his own pheromones—like a misblended liquor, so strong it made him lightheaded.
His gaze slowly shifted, finally landing on the gland exposed at the back of Yuan Shiyuan’s slender neck.
That patch of skin was thinner and more tender than the surrounding area; right now it had flushed a pale red, as if dyed with intoxication.
At his ear came the small licking sounds from Yuan Shiyuan. Jiang Heng tilted his head, adjusting to a position that would make it easier for Yuan Shiyuan.
He closed his eyes. Even though he couldn’t see Yuan Shiyuan’s face clearly, he could picture how he must look at this moment: a small length of tongue probing from between his lips and teeth, neat and slow, leaving the gland wet…
Just like the last time Yuan Shiyuan licked Bo Jin’s finger.
“Sorry.” Yuan Shiyuan finally snapped back to himself and withdrew awkwardly. “Your pheromones smelled so good I couldn’t help it for a moment…”
S-rank pheromones were overwhelmingly attractive to Yuan Shiyuan; every day he felt an abnormal hunger that could only be satisfied by smelling S-rank pheromones.
The doctors kept stressing that at first he could relieve it by smelling, but over time he would have to let S-rank Alpha pheromones enter his body…
And it couldn’t be just a single S-rank pheromone.
Thinking about needing a group session made his scalp crawl and felt like the world was collapsing.
At that moment, Yuan Shiyuan felt extremely guilty.
As a good brother, Jiang Heng had immediately soothed and worried about him, yet he had treated his brother like a tool—siphoning his pheromones and even licking his gland.
Wasn’t that repaying kindness with ingratitude?
What would come next—would he have to secretly take his brother’s orange slice (note: slang for pheromone source) too?
Yuan Shiyuan straightened his attitude and quickly admitted his fault: “I shouldn’t have taken advantage of you while you were vulnerable.”
“That doesn’t count as taking advantage.”
Jiang Heng pinched the back of Yuan Shiyuan’s neck, forcing him to look up. Their eyes met under the coat. “I like it when you lick me, so that doesn’t count as taking advantage.”
Yuan Shiyuan looked incredulous. “How could there be an Alpha who likes being licked by another man?”
“You also like smelling the same sex’s pheromones, don’t you?” Jiang Heng said matter-of-factly. “Although I don’t know why you like that… from another angle, I’m the same as you. I like you smelling my pheromones, and I like you licking my gland.”
“When you lick me, it feels really good.”
Being licked on the gland obviously felt good—after all, what kind of spot was that? But hearing such words come from cool, aloof Jiang Heng felt odd to Yuan Shiyuan.
It sounded like something an A-class person would say.
Yuan Shiyuan looked away. “…You don’t have to say it so bluntly.”
He felt stunned, as if being harassed by the same sex, mixed with a bit of confusion.
Jiang Heng suddenly let out a low laugh; he rarely laughed. This time his chest vibrated slightly, carrying a whiff of Cabernet Sauvignon pheromones that brushed against Yuan Shiyuan’s cheek.
He lowered his head, his fingertips gently brushing the corner of Yuan Shiyuan’s eye. “Do you feel any better now?”
“Much better.”
Yuan Shiyuan planted his hand on Jiang Heng’s chest and breathed out heavily. “You helped me again. If you hadn’t been here, I would have been a mess… I wouldn’t have known what to do.”
Even though Yuan Shiyuan could handle many things independently, he was still a student on campus and couldn’t deal with this kind of emergency.
He checked his phone; his father and younger brother had replied as soon as they saw the message. They were just as anxious and were rushing to the hospital.
“As long as I could help,” Jiang Heng said, “and I didn’t do much.”
Passing his coat and releasing pheromones was a trivial matter for Jiang Heng. He didn’t see it as a sacrifice and wouldn’t boast about it.
True to his promise, Jiang Heng stayed with Yuan Shiyuan. If Yuan Shiyuan wanted to smell pheromones, he covered them both with his coat.
Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon pheromones flowed in the cramped space, weaving their breaths and body heat together, as if beneath the coat they had created a small world belonging only to the two of them.
Not long after, a nurse hurried in: “Finally found you! Mr. Yuan’s surgery was a complete success. The anesthesia hasn’t worn off yet, so now he just needs to rest properly…”
Yuan Shiyuan’s pupils suddenly widened; he was overjoyed and turned to throw his arms around Jiang Heng in a tight hug: “The surgery was successful!”
“Yes, very successful.” Jiang Heng hesitated before returning the hug, but he soon relaxed his grip. He looked at Yuan Shiyuan’s clearly elated, flushed face, and the corners of his mouth involuntarily lifted into a faint smile.
“Really, I have to thank you. You helped me before, and now it’s you again.”
“You don’t need to thank me.”
Saying thank you between friends would indeed feel distant. Jiang Heng had always been outwardly cold but warmhearted, and if he kept saying thanks it would feel awkward.
Yuan Shiyuan bumped Jiang Heng’s shoulder with his fist and added, “But honestly, I feel like I’ve seen you somewhere before.”
Jiang Heng looked at him.
“But maybe I’m just imagining it. I don’t remember knowing anyone with black curly hair, and you’re so tall and handsome—if I’d seen you before, I definitely wouldn’t forget.”
“…”
Jiang Heng stared at his lips as they moved, and said, “Really?”
“Of course. I have a very good memory.” Yuan Shiyuan took pride in his recall.
Yuan Shiyuan knew quite a few friends who wore earrings. One close friend from the welfare institute had an earring almost identical to Jiang Heng’s.
But they absolutely couldn’t be the same person.
His friend didn’t have curly, black hair, and was thin and small—just a little taller than him.
Besides, Yuan Shiyuan knew his friend’s secret.
His friend had been abandoned by his father because professional testing had shown a high likelihood he would develop as a Beta.
But Jiang Heng was not only an Alpha—he was S-rank.
When he learned that Yuan Xing’s surgery had succeeded, Yuan Shiyuan finally let out a full breath of relief; his whole body felt light, and he drifted as if floating. He unconsciously rose onto his toes and leisurely spun a little on the spot.
“That’s great, the surgery was a success.” He turned seriously, “I still feel like treating you to a meal isn’t enough.”
There were also others on the team he needed to thank properly.
But how to thank them was another matter. They were well provided for and asked for nothing in return, but that didn’t mean he could take advantage of them and do nothing.
What would be an appropriate gift?
“Little Yuan!”
“Brother!”
Two Alphas came running in, sweating profusely. Yuan Shiyuan hurried to his feet to wave.
Father Yuan steadied Yuan Shiyuan by the shoulder, his voice quick with worry: “Were you scared out of your mind? Something this big, being alone—you must have been terrified…”
“No, I…” Yuan Shiyuan was about to introduce Jiang Heng to his father when he turned and found Jiang Heng had already disappeared.
Yuan Shiyuan froze.
Yuan Shize regretted, “I shouldn’t have gone back to school first; it’s my fault.”
“No one expected the surgery to be moved up so suddenly. Luckily everything went smoothly; the doctors said it was a great success.” Yuan Shiyuan withdrew his gaze and forced a smile, “Now, Mom just needs to rest.”
The family had finally gotten through the worst of it.
In the ward, Father Yuan wept tears of joy while Yuan Shiyuan and his brother comforted their parents.
When the parents learned that the person who had stayed with Yuan Shiyuan while he waited was Jiang Heng, they wanted to thank him in person. They knew their son must have been very frightened, and were grateful that a friend had stayed with him instead of leaving him alone.
Yuan Shiyuan sent Jiang Heng a message.
Yuan Shiyuan: Are you there? My parents want to invite you to dinner to thank you in person.
Jiang Heng: No need to be so formal.
Yuan Shiyuan: No, really, they all want to meet you.
Jiang Heng: Your uncles want to meet me?
Jiang Heng: Okay, when.
Their team would be busy in the coming days; Jiang Heng couldn’t be available every day.
Yuan Shiyuan thought for a moment: How about we wait until I get back to the company and talk it over? Pick a time when you’re free.
Soon Jiang Heng replied: Fine, I’m available—depends on your uncles’ schedules.
When Yuan Shiyuan returned to the company and pushed open the agent’s office door, he immediately saw many familiar faces.
He was about to greet them when he first noticed the strange looks on this group of S-rank alphas.
Their gazes toward him were complicated, as if… he had some unspeakable ailment?
Zhuang He excitedly spoke first: “There’s one good piece of news, and one bad— which do you want to hear first?”
Yuan Shiyuan raised an eyebrow: “The good news?”
Zhuang He clapped enthusiastically: “Your magazine’s going to be reprinted—every extra copy in stock sold out!”
“And the bad news?”
“The bad news is, you’re going to be very busy.”
Yuan Shiyuan picked a seat and was about to lean back when he felt a burning gaze from one side.
Ying Mingche, who usually talked the most, merely looked at him and seemed about to speak but held back.
Not only was Ying Mingche acting odd, the other alphas’ expressions were just as strange, carrying meanings that couldn’t be put into words.
What was going on?
Five riddlers?
“Let’s talk about Shiyuan’s work schedule first.”
Zhuang He’s voice cut through Yuan Shiyuan’s thoughts.
“A few TV dramas sent scripts, but I’m not really considering them. The scripts are okay, but they require you to dye your hair,” Zhuang He said. “Your hair is a signature look now; the company isn’t planning to change your image, so I refused for the moment.”
“There was another script… I actually wanted to show you guys back then. But now, forget it.”
“We won’t take it on.”
Yuan Shiyuan leaned forward with curiosity: “What script?”
Ying Mingche, who had barely sat still for a few minutes, couldn’t stay put. He quietly scooted up beside Yuan Shiyuan and tried to loop his arm over Yuan Shiyuan’s shoulder.
“I’m curious too—what script is it?” He was about to rest his chin on Yuan Shiyuan’s shoulder like before when Zhuang He grabbed the back of his collar and pulled him away. He complained, “Brother Zhuang, what are you doing?”
Zhuang He glanced at Yuan Shiyuan and cleared his throat, trying to cover it up: “Talking about a script—no hands-on behavior.”
“This is the first same-sex-oriented TV drama since the policy relaxed. The director is very famous—going for awards. He specifically asked for Shiyuan to be the lead, and you wouldn’t even need to dye your hair. He also wants to pick two more members from our group…”
“Which specific two members depends on your audition performances…”
“Going for awards, a famous director—isn’t that great?” Yuan Shiyuan didn’t understand. “And the director might cast three members from our group as a package. Isn’t that a great opportunity for us?”
“Why not take it?”
Could it be that because they’re idols and not strong actors, Zhuang He worried they’d be criticized later, so he refused?
But that didn’t make sense either.
Several S-rank alphas, along with the sole omega, all looked at Zhuang He with confused, questioning expressions.
Zhuang He couldn’t sit still. When he looked at Yuan Shiyuan, his expression grew even more unnatural: “I originally intended to accept it and then have the members, except for Shiyuan, go to audition one by one… but here’s the crux: this drama has quite explicit content.”
“There are a lot of kissing scenes and bedroom scenes… you know. I’m afraid you guys won’t accept it, so forget it.” As he spoke, he glanced once more at Yuan Shiyuan.
The air froze instantly.
The content… was very explicit?
Yuan Shiyuan understood in an instant: it was because of him that Zhuang He had refused.
Before, when he was an Alpha, Zhuang He had thought he was sacrificing himself for art—no big deal. But now that he’d shifted again into an Omega… Zhuang He couldn’t bear to throw him into the wolf den.
The other S-rank alphas were first stunned, then their expressions turned strange, and finally, almost simultaneously and without quite deciding to, their gazes fell on Yuan Shiyuan.
“Wow.”
Ying Mingche was the first to speak. He moved suddenly, like a coiled leopard ready to pounce, and closed the distance to Yuan Shiyuan in an instant.
His expression was serious, as if pondering a profound academic question. Warm breath brushed against Yuan Shiyuan’s plump earlobe as he said gravely, “So Brother Zhuang… you mean both of those roles have intimate scenes with our Princess Yuanyuan?”
“Kissing scenes, bedroom scenes.” The closer he leaned, the closer he came to Yuan Shiyuan. “If I pass the audition, I’d have to shoot with our Shiyuan?”
Zhuang He shoved Ying Mingche’s face away. “In theory, yes. But those two roles aren’t only open to our team; your rivals can audition too. That is, members of the Necro boy group.”
“Necro will be competing as well.”
Hearing that, Yuan Shiyuan’s face drained of color and goosebumps rose on his skin.
Ying Mingxi said softly, “Shiyuan doesn’t want to film intimate scenes with them, right?”
“Of course not!” Yuan Shiyuan shook off the goosebumps. “I’d rather do it with you than with them.”
Yuan Shiyuan blurted it out, then realized what he’d said. He looked up at the alphas before him; all of them relaxed, the corners of their mouths lifting almost imperceptibly, as if secretly pleased.
Ying Mingche immediately followed up: “Alright, it’s settled then. Brother Zhuang, Shiyuan agreed to do it, I don’t object either.”
“I will sacrifice myself for art.”
“Are you serious?” Zhuang He fixed his stare on Yuan Shiyuan. “There are really a lot of kissing and bedroom scenes, and none of you have filmed intimate scenes before… if you go to audition, you’ll have to practice a lot during this period.”
“Think it through.” That remark was directed at Yuan Shiyuan.
These Scepter members, acting as doting fathers, had no experience with intimate scenes; each had been single since birth. If they went to audition, they’d inevitably have to practice regularly.
If the director had specifically chosen Yuan Shiyuan, that meant that before the audition, to secure the roles they’d have to repeatedly rehearse intimate scenes with Yuan Shiyuan…
A group of S-rank alphas, all single since birth, taking turns practicing kissing scenes with Yuan Shiyuan? Zhuang He didn’t dare imagine what that would look like.
Who knew how chaotic it might get.
Yuan Shiyuan knew what Zhuang He was worried about, but for the sake of the team he nodded. “I really don’t mind.”
He said it straightforwardly, but his fingers unconsciously pinched the hem of his clothes and his toes tapped lightly on the floor.
He took a deep breath and kept persuading himself.
Since he chose this industry, he had to get past this hurdle. Many idols acted in dramas too; he couldn’t limit his development just because he feared A—(Translation note: “恐A” here refers to anxiety about A-sexuality or similar discomfort with sexual scenes)—he told himself.
Yuan Shiyuan casually glanced at several familiar faces in the room and quietly reassured himself.
It’s just kissing, filming some intimate scenes—they should pass quickly, right? Besides, filming intimacy with teammates he saw every day was surely better than with strangers.
“It’s just… kissing.” Yuan Shiyuan tried to sound casual. “No big deal.”
It shouldn’t be… that bad, right?
Zhuang He hadn’t expected Yuan Shiyuan to be so accepting.
He hadn’t planned to accept at first, but the director was truly famous—turning it down would be such a pity.
Jiang Heng thought for a moment, then said, “The director specifically named Yuan Shiyuan. As for the other two roles… shall the five of us all go compete?”
To prevent Yuan Shiyuan from having intimate scenes with outsiders, they had to ensure that two of the five would pass the audition.
Zhuang He: “That’s what I was thinking… send you all over as a package to audition—surely someone will get in.”
He glanced obliquely at Bo Jin.
“Why are you looking at me?” Seeing Yuan Shiyuan look over, Bo Jin turned his head away, his ear a little flushed. His tone was flat: “Brother Zhuang, didn’t you say this is a team assignment? I follow orders.”
Bo Jin—the least obedient—actually nodded in agreement? Zhuang He looked astonished; it was like the sun rising in the west.
All six members agreed. That left only one final question; Yuan Shiyuan asked the key one: “What are the character profiles for the other two roles?”
“Oh, I forgot to tell you this.”
Zhuang He took out the script. Looking at this eager group of S-rank alphas, he felt something was off. He explained, “Shiyuan is naturally our lead. The other two supporting roles also revolve around Shiyuan.”
“One of the roles is Shiyuan’s official boyfriend, and the other is the mistress who has an affair with him.”
“……”
“Huh?”
A mistress?!
