Chapter 39 Second Split (First + Second + Third Update)

Silence?

Even though Yuan Shiyuan had only just entered the industry, he had heard of Silence’s renown: it occupied the prime spot in malls, its haute couture and jewelry carried shockingly high price tags. He had never imagined he would one day have dealings with that brand.

Yuan Shiyuan peeked outside.

He stepped out of the car and politely said, “Hello, I’m Yuan Shiyuan.”

When Pierre’s gaze landed on the pink-haired alpha, it immediately burned with intensity. He couldn’t contain his excitement and hurried forward as if to give an embrace, then abruptly stopped with his arms halfway outstretched.

“My God… you’re even more dazzling than in the photos!”

“Mr. Pierre, we were just about to eat. Have you dined already? If not, we could go together…” Zhuang He offered his business card.

Yuan Shiyuan sat by the window, with Bo Jin beside him. Bo Jin instinctively made room, freeing the seat next to Yuan Shiyuan for Pierre.

Pierre, of course, wanted to join them, but he had arrived suddenly and was more worried about making Yuan Shiyuan nervous; he also noticed how disheveled Yuan Shiyuan looked. After all, he’d come straight from the plane and was travel-worn, with no time to tidy up.

“No, I won’t disturb your plans.” Pierre looked at the pink-haired alpha with ardor and, in the most magnetic tone, said, “Let’s schedule a time to discuss the contract in depth.”

“Is that possible?” His polite, gentlemanly manner made it seem as if he feared Yuan Shiyuan might refuse.

Yuan Shiyuan smiled at him. “Of course.”

Under the blazing midsummer sun, Pierre froze at that smile. Zhuang He said, “Then Mr. Pierre, please rest first. We’ll set a time to talk details!”

“Directly parachuted in as brand ambassador without a trial period?”

The car’s air conditioning fogged the air. Ying Mingche leaned over and poked Yuan Shiyuan’s cheek, his tone edged with pride, “As expected of our Princess Yuanyuan.”

“It’s not even inked in yet.”

Yuan Shiyuan tilted his head to avoid him; a lock of hair brushed Bo Jin’s shoulder. Bo Jin looked down at him but said nothing.

Although Yuan Shiyuan felt pleasantly surprised, he knew clearly that until a contract was signed anything could change.

Ying Mingxi: “Top luxury brands value a celebrity’s image and temperament most; they must match the brand’s tone. Pierre is a head of headquarters; him flying in from France shows Silence takes you seriously. The captain was once invited to Silence’s fashion show—he knows what Silence prefers.”

“Silence turned down three male best actors and two female best actresses last year.” Pei Yanbing suddenly said, “You’re highly compatible with Silence.”

“Shiyuan’s skepticism is normal—this is Silence after all! The company will coordinate with Silence slowly,” Zhuang He soothed. “Don’t worry, we’ll work hard to secure it.”

Yuan Shiyuan raised a smile, then couldn’t help yawning.

The nanny van moved forward; he was getting sleepy and planned to nap, swiping his phone before dozing.

When he’d been on the show, he’d posted a Scepter group photo to his moments; the number of likes was staggering, practically endless.

In the family group chat, relatives kept posting screenshots of the livestream every day.

There were reactions of shock, sneaking-a-peek, frowns, puzzlement, and also screenshots of him wearing a little dress.

Mom: Why does our little Yuan look so pretty? [sailor suit ○]

Dad: The dress is pretty. [thumbs up]

Yuan Shize was currently busy training at the esports base and taking extra classes—running between the two made him very busy. By the time he saw it, it was late at night; he immediately sent a “?”

Then he sent: Why are you wearing a skirt, bro?

Yuan Shiyuan: “…”

So there were things even more socially mortifying than being caught by a teammate on the spot.

Yuan Shiyuan sent a spinning emoji to cover his embarrassment.

Before locking his screen, an absurd scam text flashed across his view:

[Dear Omega Mr. Yuan Shiyuan…]

The message was clearly a scam—no background check, and it even called him an Omega?

Have scammers stooped this low now?

Yuan Shiyuan glanced at it casually and didn’t look again. He tossed his phone aside, curled into his seat, and closed his eyes to nap.

As the nanny van slowly drove toward Starry Night Entertainment, the roar of voices outside the windows pounded the glass like waves.

“What’s going on?”

“Don’t roll down the windows yet.” Zhuang He picked up the call. Xiao Huang croaked, “Don’t use the main entrance! The main gate’s fallen!”

“The northeast gate is still okay—fans haven’t found it yet… come in from there!”

The driver yanked the wheel and steered toward the northeast gate. Xiao Huang peered out furtively like a covert agent, wildly waving them over.

“You scared me—good thing you didn’t go to the main gate. Both the main and side gates are full of fans.” Xiao Huang was still shaken. “If you’d come out there right now, it’d have been a disaster.”

Was it really that extreme?

Yuan Shiyuan was the last to get out. His hand had just reached for the car door when five big, knuckled hands shot up in front of him.

He didn’t take any of them and simply stepped down.

“This height isn’t a big deal.” Yuan Shiyuan lifted his chin. “Still, thanks, good brothers.”

No sooner had he spoken than a scream erupted nearby.

“Is that Yuan Shiyuan?”

“It’s Yuan Shiyuan!”

“Brother, we love you!”

Fans spotted the movement and flashbulbs overlapped in a dense staccato. Yuan Shiyuan squinted and tilted his head to dodge them. Before he could steady himself, Bo Jin swept him into his arms.

A broad hand clamped over Yuan Shiyuan’s eyes, shutting out the lights.

“Close your eyes.” Bo Jin murmured. “You haven’t had special training; your eyes can’t handle this intensity of flash.”

The other four Alphas formed a human wall, shielding the incessant flashes as they quickly moved toward the back entrance. “Get Shiyuan inside first.”

“Go.”

Bo Jin’s voice was pressed against Yuan Shiyuan’s ear as he half-carried him through the door. Like carrying a doll, they wheeled him into the company.

Cool air swept down, dispelling the stifling heat.

After being carried all the way, Yuan Shiyuan finally lost patience and pushed Bo Jin’s arm away.

Bo Jin looked down, puzzled.

“You know you’re 194.82 cm.” Yuan Shiyuan tilted his head back and said softly.

Jealous, really—he wished he could grow a bit more too. He hadn’t thought himself particularly short, but with the other five S-ranks in the team all towering like exaggerated refrigerators, he looked tiny by comparison.

Being effortlessly “lifted” by same-sex teammates all the time wounded his straight-A pride.

Bo Jin didn’t notice anything off in Yuan Shiyuan’s tone. He lowered his voice: “You remember my height that clearly?”

“Every word you say, I remember.” Yuan Shiyuan curled his lips in a pleased, slightly proud smile.

His memory really was that good.

Heat rose to Bo Jin’s ear; his expression went awkward and he turned his head away, frozen for half a second. He changed the subject: “The company will arrange some classes for you, and there will be more scenes like this in the future. When you go out, be a little more careful.”

Yuan Shiyuan asked curiously, “Are those people outside the entrance all our fans? So many…”

Back when Yuan Shiyuan was still muddling along at Ximi Entertainment, he sometimes ran into waiting fans when leaving the building, but never in numbers this exaggerated.

Bo Jin: “You really don’t know how popular you are right now?”

“Magazine broke records, the livestream incident, the contrast on the variety show… all of that stacked together, and now it’s summer break—your heat is insane.”

Yuan Shiyuan still looked dazed.

Bo Jin wasn’t surprised; Yuan Shiyuan was still new to the industry and had no sense of these things. He reached out to smooth down Yuan Shiyuan’s folded collar and the stray hairs sticking up.

“From now on you need to watch your image,” he said. “Big star.”

“That’s an exaggeration.” Yuan Shiyuan lifted his chin so Bo Jin could fix his hair more easily. He added earnestly, “But a lot of those people don’t look like regular fans.”

“Besides fans, there are papparazzi. Also, you need to watch out for a small extreme group.”

“You’re talking about sasaengs (Translation note: 私生 refers to obsessive, invasive fans often called sasaengs)?”

“Right. Don’t take the subway anymore; I’ll send you wherever you need to go.”

Yuan Shiyuan was about to refuse, but then thought Bo Jin was right. Sasaengs were scary—even before entering the entertainment world he had heard about plenty of extreme cases.

Still, he asked in surprise, “How did you know I took the subway?”

“Last time I went to the nearby parking lot and saw you with a small bag, walking really fast,” Bo Jin said. “I called out but you didn’t hear me.”

“There aren’t many rideshares stopping nearby, and no shared bikes, so you must’ve taken the subway.”

He hadn’t expected Bo Jin to observe so carefully.

“I probably had my headphones on, not ignoring you on purpose.” Yuan Shiyuan liked taking the subway. No motion sickness, and no traffic jams. Of course, a seat would be even better.

Just as Yuan Shiyuan was about to say more, the elevator dinged open. When they reached the fourth floor and passed a glass window, the frenzied roar outside nearly pierced the glass.

Yuan Shiyuan’s feet stopped.

He hesitated for a long moment before choosing to speak: “Fans waiting in this heat, for so long, just to see me for a moment. If they don’t see me, they’d be really disappointed, right?”

Bo Jin looked at Yuan Shiyuan.

His thoughts always seemed different from ordinary Alphas’.

Maybe because Yuan Shiyuan’s conflicted, disappointed expression was so obvious, Bo Jin gripped his wrist.

“Come here.”

Bo Jin led Yuan Shiyuan to a terrace. From this height the sea of people was shocking.

The rest of Scepter had successfully retreated, but the crowd remained tightly packed!

Yuan Shiyuan’s pupils widened.

For the first time he grasped something of the size of his fanbase. When others had mentioned it before, he’d taken it as teasing.

He had been a nobody; now he had a little fame, but he was still a rookie.

Where did all these fans come from?

Someone spotted the figures on the rooftop first; everyone turned toward the terrace, and the roar spiked.

“Yuan Shiyuan!”

“Brother! Look over here!”

“Yuanyuan baby, we all love you!!”

Intense, passionate love materialized right before his eyes.

Yuan Shiyuan nervously said, “I… what should I say?”

His flustered look reminded Bo Jin of the day Yuan Shiyuan had been called “baby”—back then he had been just as at a loss.

“You don’t need to say anything,” Bo Jin said. “We’re far away; they can’t hear you.”

“They’re happy just to see you.”

Would seeing him be enough to make them happy?

Yuan Shiyuan looked thoughtfully toward the crowd, then suddenly he gave them a smile.

That unadorned, wholehearted smile set off even louder screams from below!

The scene grew more out of control.

Seeing that the security could barely hold the crowd, Bo Jin pulled Yuan Shiyuan back into the shadows and ushered him inside.

As Yuan Shiyuan was led indoors, he frowned and glanced down again, worried about something.

“Did they…” he said uncertainly, “did an Omega get pushed down by security?”

Bo Jin narrowed his eyes and tilted his head to look, but couldn’t make it out clearly. Before he could speak, Yuan Shiyuan had already hurried over to the team leader of the security guards.

“Brother, I ordered some afternoon tea for you; it should arrive soon.”

The team leader was busy heading downstairs to help; he was about to refuse, when the pink-haired Alpha added, “You’ve worked hard today. We made your workload heavier.”

The team leader paused, then smiled, “What are you saying? This is our job. Don’t blame yourself.”

“Still, thank you.”

A smile lingered in Yuan Shiyuan’s eyes as he paused, then continued, “I just saw an Omega who seemed to have been accidentally pushed down by a guard. I know it was chaotic—he must have done it by mistake.”

“But next time could you ask them not to use so much force? Many fans are Omegas; they’re not strong, and they came from far away. I don’t want them to get hurt just for coming to see me.”

The team leader was stunned.

He’d seen countless arrogant artists, but never one who cared so much about fans. What shocked him more was that Yuan Shiyuan had managed to spot, out of hundreds of people, that a single fan had been hurt!

The team leader’s face turned serious. “Some of the guards are new and not very experienced. I’ll be sure to pay attention to that and train them better.”

“Thank you, brother.” Hearing that, Yuan Shiyuan finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Starry Night Entertainment always emphasized the relationship between artists and fans. Aside from dealing with sasaengs, the company stressed that security must never use force against fans—especially Omega fans, where extra care is required.

This could be a minor or major issue.

Right now, at a fan event, most fans wouldn’t make a fuss. But in other situations, if an Alpha pushed an Omega and the Omega got injured, that could be a violation of the Omega Protection Act.

The crowd that the guards had been dispersing slowly thinned; only a few people remained at the Starry Night Entertainment entrance.

A curly-haired Omega sat on the ground with his camera in his lap; the scrape on his knee was dusty, but he didn’t seem to notice. His fingers flew over the screen as he excitedly shared the photos he’d just taken with his friend, cheeks flushed.

“We didn’t waste our whole wait!” the Omega said excitedly. “Yuan Yuan just smiled at us!”

“Actually Brother Shiyuan didn’t have to come out, but he must have seen us and didn’t want to disappoint us…”

That was why he had come out—to see them.

After he said that, his gaze froze.

“Is Yuan frowning in this one? Why is he frowning?” he asked in puzzlement. “Is he worried about something?”

When he’d seen Yuan Shiyuan in person the sun was bright and he’d been too excited to see clearly. Now, looking at the photos, he could clearly tell that at the moment Yuan Shiyuan turned toward the camera his brows were knit.

Was it just his imagination?

“Hello?”

As the Omega was thinking this, a shadow fell over him.

Xiao Huang asked with concern, “How’s your knee? Is it bad? Do you need me to go with you to the hospital?”

The Omega froze. He saw the other man wearing Starry Night Entertainment’s staff uniform, a medical kit dangling from his hand.

He didn’t understand what was happening, but still shook his head: “I’m fine, it doesn’t hurt.”

Maybe it had hurt a moment ago, but that wave of pain had passed—now it felt okay.

“Are you sure? If it really hurts a lot, I’ll take you to the hospital and the company will cover the medical bills. I’m really sorry you got hurt.”

“This was prepared by Shiyuan. I hope you’ll be able to use it—there are band-aids, iodine, and some basic supplies inside.” Xiao Huang handed over the medical kit. “He said he’s happy to see you all, and he hopes you’ll stay happy.”

“He also said, thank you for your hard work.”

When the sun made his head spin he hadn’t felt tired; when the crowd pushed so he couldn’t stand steady he hadn’t felt uncomfortable; when his knee was scraped and bleeding he still hadn’t felt it. All he could think was to hold on a little longer—maybe he’d get to see Yuan Shiyuan.

But when those five words “thank you for your hard work” reached his ears, the Omega suddenly felt a sourness in his chest, as if those grievances he hadn’t even been allowed to care about were finally acknowledged. He covered his face; tears slipped through his fingers and wouldn’t stop.

–

Starry Night Entertainment, inside the office.

“Finally the day has come when I can watch you guys turn things around!” Xiao Huang excitedly pushed a tablet in front of everyone. “Your popularity is through the roof right now—’all Yuan’ CP just topped the CP chart at number one! Overseas tag cumulative views have surpassed 10 billion!”

“You don’t even know—there are countless fanworks and fanfics now, the CP’s super topic is blowing up. Shiyuan, your personal super topic ranking keeps climbing, and you’ve been dominating the CP lists!”

Xiao Huang said excitedly, “The hottest among them is ‘all Yuan’! It’s head and shoulders above the rest!”

Yuan Shiyuan was sipping juice through a straw and almost choked on it at the words: “I’m the one they’re ‘all’-ing?”

He looked stunned.

It was indeed good news, but he was the one being “all”-ed.

Oh well—fans being happy was what mattered.

Those fanworks were just for fun; in real life he wasn’t losing anything.

Could he really be taken advantage of by those S-ranks? No way.

Ying Mingche, stirred, said, “Could it be that you—”

“I’m straight,” Yuan Shiyuan smiled and interrupted. “No matter how active the CP super topic is, it doesn’t change that I’m straight.”

Ying Mingche’s smile instantly froze.

Xiao Huang: “You’re really not angry?”

“Not at all,” Yuan Shiyuan said. “What’s the most extreme scenario? That I get turned into an Omega with a womb and then you five have sex with me, then take turns filling me up until I’m huge, and finally I give each of you a baby? That would be the worst-case scenario, right?”

“But that could never actually happen.” Why should he get angry about something that couldn’t happen—he wasn’t actually going to grow a womb.

After saying that, Yuan Shiyuan leaned back into his chair. Settling into a comfortable position, he tugged his pant leg up a bit, revealing a slender, bony ankle.

Bo Jin was silent for a moment, then said, “You don’t need to go into so much detail.”

Ying Mingche thought for a moment: “Are there really fanworks like that?”

He’d read plenty of fanfics, but he’d never seen a theme like that. He suddenly stood up, stared at Yuan Shiyuan’s belly, and poked at his lower abdomen.

“If there were a womb, it would be around here, right?”

The air suddenly tightened.

Faint, scattered gazes drifted over from the different Alphas.

Ying Mingche drew circles ambiguously with his finger, making Yuan Shiyuan tremble slightly. He was very ticklish; his waist twitched in a sensitive flinch.

“Cut it out.” Yuan Shiyuan slapped Ying Mingche’s hand away.

Zhuang He stared at the harmonious, friendly group and showed a relieved smile. He cleared his throat at the right moment: “It’s good that Shiyuan can take it lightly! Indeed, these things are impossible. But Bo Jin needs to try harder—everyone else’s CPs are on the charts; you’re the only unpopular one.”

“The CP that used to be the least popular was Jiang Heng and Shiyuan, but now they’ve overtaken.”

“Netizens won’t buy our CP?” Bo Jin frowned. “We’re roommates.”

He meant that their intimacy far exceeded that of others.

Xiao Huang: “Uh, netizens say they just can’t ship it.”

He couldn’t ship it either, but he tried to comfort him, “Don’t worry, there are still people into weird fetishes.”

Yuan Shiyuan leaned on Jiang Heng’s shoulder and laughed wildly: “Weird fetishes hahaha…”

“What do you mean by ‘weird fetishes’?” Bo Jin said, displeased. “Have you seen it?”

Xiao Huang’s face turned ugly, like he’d swallowed a fly.

Bo Jin: “Why do you look like you’ve eaten something terrible?”

Jiang Heng added a jab from the side: “Looking at your CP fics, what’s the difference from eating shit?”

Xiao Huang’s eyes darted away, and he changed the subject: “The most popular is the CP between Yuan Shiyuan and the twins. Next are the captain and Jiang Heng.”

Ying Mingche looked proud.

Ying Mingxi smiled faintly.

Bo Jin didn’t understand: “Why are you guys number one?”

Yuan Shiyuan: “Don’t put an Alpha’s competitiveness into this kind of thing.”

They were all just doing business—whichever CP was hotter didn’t really matter.

But Bo Jin still couldn’t accept it. He genuinely didn’t understand: he and Yuan Shiyuan were roommates—how could fans not see that they were the closest?

Instead, people shipped those two twins who were hypocritical inside and out—what was there to like?

“Okay, stop. None of that matters.”

Zhuang He cut in, “We have a lot of resources on hand right now. Let me go through them first, filter them, and then we’ll discuss in detail. Regarding Shiyuan’s top-luxury brand ambassadorship, we’ve had preliminary talks—Silence is very eager to cooperate and sign.”

“It’s basically secured.”

“However, there’s a strange bit of gossip lately that I need you to explain.” Zhuang He looked at Yuan Shiyuan. “Shiyuan, captain, Jiang Heng.”

The three called out: ?

Zhuang He clicked the remote; the screen displayed a gossip screenshot.

[Screenshot]

A netizen: Oh my god, when I was at the hospital for a prenatal checkup, I actually saw Little Yuan with pyb and jh together! I don’t know what kind of check they were getting, but they were so in sync, sandwiching Little Yuan in the middle!

[Top comment 1]: OMG, Little Yuan got a pregnancy test?

[Top comment 2]: ? No, Little Yuan only just joined Scepter—if he was pregnant it wouldn’t be detectable yet, okay. Please don’t make rumors about my bro. [praying]

[Top comment 3]: Uh-huh, so you admit Little Yuan can be a mom now.

[Top comment 4]: Enough… ysy is an Alpha! Where would he even get a reproductive cavity?! (literal: where does he get a womb?!)

[Top comment 5]: If I trace this time backward, the child might be from a former teammate!! (As someone who ships Little Yuan with a former teammate I’m ecstatic!!)

[Top comment 6]: Woohoo, congrats to Scepter on becoming dads. [fireworks]

[Top comment 7]: It’s fine, it’s fine—though the child might not be Scepter’s, Little Yuan’s wife is. [silly grin]

Yuan Shiyuan: “……”

Now netizens’ imaginations were getting out of hand, right??

Yuan Shiyuan had only gone to the hospital for a checkup, and because of a netizen’s description, how did he end up sounding like the shared wife of two boy groups?

He pregnant, or carrying a former teammate’s seed?

No way. The contact between Yuan Shiyuan and those people from Ximi Entertainment was nowhere near as intimate as it was with Scepter.

Even with Scepter, the closest they’d ever gotten was holding hands, touching faces, cuddling and rubbing heads, or sitting on someone’s lap—oh right, yesterday there’d even been some rubbing that caused an allergy…

But aside from those things, their relationships were innocent—pure brotherhood, as clean as could be.

“What were you all doing at the hospital together?”

Pei Yanbing: “Tests. Brother Zhuang, you know.”

“The captain got injured; I was the one who sent him,” Zhuang He cut in, looking past Pei Yanbing to the next person. “Jiang Heng?”

Jiang Heng: “I have a pheromone allergy. I go for regular checkups.”

Yuan Shiyuan jumped in: “I went for a physical.”

“A physical? Didn’t you already have one on your first day? Why another?” Zhuang He asked. “Are you feeling unwell?”

Yuan Shiyuan: “No, just the routine check. The doctor recommended an additional test.”

“That’s good then.” Only then did Zhuang He relax. “Your entry physical showed you’re healthy.”

Looking at the team’s surging popularity and then at the harmonious, affectionate group before him, Zhuang He felt Scepter’s future was bright.

Zhuang He did remind Yuan Shiyuan of something.

It’s been a few days—haven’t the test results come back yet?

Yuan Shiyuan opened the hospital portal, intending to view the electronic report, but at the top, in red letters, it read “Confidential.”

He had to go to the hospital in person to collect the report.

After the office meeting ended, Yuan Shiyuan planned to head straight to the hospital.

Pei Yanbing unusually spoke up: “Want to go to the practice room together?”

“Later.” Yuan Shiyuan really wanted to go, but he had something to do. “I’m going out for a bit.”

“Come find me in the practice room when you get back.”

“Okay.” Pei Yanbing said softly, “I’ll wait for you.”

Bo Jin naturally followed along: “You’re going out? I’ll walk you.”

Yuan Shiyuan was going to refuse, but remembering Bo Jin’s recent words and the sight of fans crowding the company, he agreed: “Alright. I’m going to the hospital to pick up a report. It’s nearby.”

To the hospital?

Bo Jin thought for a moment, then said, “Then I’ll go back to the dorm to take another inhibitor.”

There would be too many people at the hospital, and Bo Jin suffered from pheromone agitation disorder—he’d better take a shot in advance.

He absolutely couldn’t lose control in a crowded hospital; he was worried his pheromones might affect innocent bystanders.

Yuan Shiyuan made an “ok” gesture.

“Then I’ll walk around the company for a bit.” The company was huge, and in all the days he’d been here, because of his bad sense of direction he still didn’t know many places.

Yuan Shiyuan was going to get familiar with it.

“Turn on shared location.”

“Hmm?”

“Otherwise I’m afraid I won’t find you.”

Yuan Shiyuan looked puzzled—what did Bo Jin mean? Had Bo Jin discovered he was directionally challenged?

Impossible, he’d never told anyone…

“Okay.” Yuan Shiyuan figured Bo Jin’s big-A chauvinism control urge had struck again, “I’ll turn it on.”

“You go back to the dorm and take your inhibitor slowly; I’ll take my time wandering.”

A short distance away, Jiang Heng leaned against the wall, watching Yuan Shiyuan’s departing figure thoughtfully.

The corridors at Starry Night Entertainment were like a maze. After passing the same decorative sculpture for the third time, Yuan Shiyuan had to admit—he was lost again.

Seems like I can’t get out again.

Just as Yuan Shiyuan was about to ask for help, a message from Bo Jin popped up at the right moment.

Bo Jin: I finished the inhibitor.

Bo Jin: Don’t move, I’m coming to get you.

Yuan Shiyuan looked down at his phone. Good—Bo Jin had shared his location with him.

He only had to wait for Bo Jin to find him.

The air conditioning hummed slowly as Yuan Shiyuan found a seat. He hadn’t sat for more than a few seconds before a sweet, syrupy sobbing pierced his ears.

An Omega was in heat!

And not just an ordinary-level Omega.

Yuan Shiyuan followed the sound and found, in a corner, an Omega boy-group member curled into a ball. The Omega trembled all over, cheeks wet and red from crying, fingers clutching his collar.

“Are you okay?” Yuan Shiyuan immediately helped him up.

“Wait—I’ll call a Beta…” the Omega stammered.

Yuan Shiyuan wanted to get the Omega to a safe place right away, but he was directionally hopeless; if he tried to lead him, he’d probably only make things worse.

He’d just reached for his phone when it was slapped out of his hand.

A soft body dove into his arms. The Omega clung to him like a drowning person to a lifeline, and pheromones surged out instantly: “Help me… mark me.”

“I’m so uncomfortable.”

“I’m so uncomfortable…”

Yuan Shiyuan froze. “Calm down first…”

He had never been so physically close to an Omega. He pushed the Omega away, but that only made him cry harder.

The Omega’s pitiful, helpless appearance activated every protective instinct in the Alpha.

“Hang on a little longer, okay?” Yuan Shiyuan lowered his voice. He couldn’t release pheromones to soothe him now—that would be misunderstood. After all, this was an Omega idol; an Omega artist couldn’t cause any scandal or it would seriously affect his career.

“I already called the assistant.” Xiao Huang was a Beta, so thankfully someone who could help was on the way. Luckily Xiao Huang wasn’t sensitive to the Omega’s pheromones either—otherwise it would have been a nightmare…

“But I’m so uncomfortable.” The Omega seemed a bit clearer-headed; he gripped Yuan Shiyuan’s wrist and looked up. “Give me a temporary mark, please? Promise I won’t tell anyone…”

“I’m S-rank too; our compatibility won’t be that low…”

The Omega had evidently been suffering through the heat for a long time and finally couldn’t bear Yuan Shiyuan’s inaction. He couldn’t understand why an Alpha would stay indifferent at a moment like this.

Suddenly he lunged and threw Yuan Shiyuan to the ground, fingers clawing at his collar.

“Don’t do this—”

Bang!

The Omega was yanked away and shoved to the floor. Jiang Heng appeared like a ghost from nowhere; he quickly pulled Yuan Shiyuan up and put him behind himself.

Yuan Shiyuan instinctively looked toward the Omega. Seeing him handled roughly made him cry even harder, so Yuan Shiyuan hurried forward to help him up.

Fortunately, Xiao Huang arrived in time: “Brothers, I’m here!”

“Quick, everyone evacuate!” If rumors spread between the all-Alpha boy group and the all-Omega boy group, all their recent efforts would be for nothing! Xiao Huang added, “Leave this to me!”

Even though Xiao Huang was a Beta, he could smell an overwhelmingly strong Omega pheromone—and another scent… an Alpha pheromone—slowly spreading.

Yuan Shiyuan reacted quickly and led Jiang Heng away from the scene.

They went into a single-occupancy restroom stall, and someone asked, “Did you bring the medicine?”

Jiang Heng was allergic to that Omega’s pheromones!

When he had an allergic reaction, Jiang Heng would lose control and be unable to regulate his own pheromones—almost like entering another kind of susceptible period. But it was calmer than a regular susceptible period.

“It’s fine.”

Jiang Heng’s tone was steady; he paused a moment and said again, “It’s fine.”

But his fingers trembled as they searched his pocket for the pills.

Yuan Shiyuan pulled Jiang Heng’s hand away and slid his own into Jiang Heng’s pants pocket. Warm fingertips grazed along the taut base of the Alpha’s thigh through the thin lining.

“The medicine is here, right?”

No sooner had he spoken than another large, bony palm slipped in. Jiang Heng’s hand was a size larger than his, and now his fingers pressed firmly between Yuan Shiyuan’s.

Two hands crossed and pressed together in the cramped pocket. Yuan Shiyuan looked up in surprise and met Jiang Heng’s deep, dark eyes.

As the Alpha stared at him, his calloused fingers traced the bones of Yuan Shiyuan’s hand, sliding from the base of the fingers to the pads inch by inch before reluctantly withdrawing the blister pack.

Jiang Heng tilted his head back and swallowed two pills. As his Adam’s apple moved, his gaze never left Yuan Shiyuan’s face.

Cabernet Sauvignon pheromones fermented in the confined space.

The overly strong scent of alcohol-like pheromones made Yuan Shiyuan’s face flush and his head swim, but he didn’t dare move away rashly.

He knew Jiang Heng’s allergy was severe, so he stayed close and pressed the restroom’s help button to request an inhibitor.

Seeing him anxious, Jiang Heng said, “It’s okay.”

Yuan Shiyuan let out a small breath. After taking the pills, Jiang Heng’s condition did improve significantly. He soothed him, “I’m really fine, don’t worry.”

The Cabernet Sauvignon pheromones grew denser.

Yuan Shiyuan had just turned his head and was momentarily stunned by the overwhelming scent.

He felt as if he’d been poured a whole bottle of strong liquor; a hazy mist floated before his eyes and a drunkenness washed over him. 群6玐司㈧钯5⒈武㈥

Yuan Shiyuan staggered forward and was steadied by Jiang Heng’s hand on his waist.

The next instant, he found himself sitting sideways in the Alpha’s lap.

Jiang Heng’s pupils suddenly dilated. The usually expressionless, somewhat impatient cool guy now wore a rare look of confusion.

He watched as color flushed Yuan Shiyuan’s face at a visibly rapid pace, rising from the tips of his ears and spreading down past his collarbone…

“What’s wrong with you?” Jiang Heng pinched Yuan Shiyuan’s chin. “Your face is very red.”

“I don’t know, I…” Yuan Shiyuan’s expression grew more bewildered; he said blankly, “I don’t know…”

His eyes were glazed, his mind a blank, and yet a vague panic fluttered through him.

But he had felt this before.

When he underwent differentiation at ten, it had been just like this—confusion, panic, hypersensitivity… a tangle of emotions.

Jiang Heng reached out and touched Yuan Shiyuan’s forehead, fingers parting his collar to feel the warmth at his neck.

Suddenly he stopped moving, as if something held him in place; he froze.

A clean, sweet scent quietly spread.

Jiang Heng was not only allergic to pheromones but generally couldn’t detect most Omega scents. Yet now he could clearly smell this one.

Although faint—fresh as morning dew—it exerted a powerful pull on him.

Yuan Shiyuan sat on Jiang Heng’s thigh, shifting uneasily to get comfortable. His pale fingers gripped the fabric at Jiang Heng’s chest, the corners of his eyes reddened and wet; he let out a very soft breath.

Jiang Heng tensed all over, unsure how to respond.

After a long moment, he reached up, cupped Yuan Shiyuan’s face, and lifted it. Yuan Shiyuan’s face was small—so small that one could almost wrap it entirely with a single hand.

The other arm moved without a sound and came around the back of Yuan Shiyuan’s waist; with a slight lift, it raised him up a little.

Yuan Shiyuan still looked dazed, his legs hanging between the Alpha’s thighs, heels suspended in the air, only his toes trembling against the floor.

The allergic discomfort that had just been suppressed by the medicine had turned into a new restlessness and heat.

“You—”

Jiang Heng forced himself to stay calm, but the fragrance blowing toward him made him dizzy.

He stared intently at Yuan Shiyuan’s face, his low voice carrying a bewilderment he hadn’t fully realized himself. “On you…”

“How is it all the scent of Omega?”
