Chapter 143: Immersion

Ying Mingche genuinely had no intention of eavesdropping.

Despite his usual persistence and clinginess, Ying Mingche understood the importance of timing. He wouldn’t pester Yuan Shiyuan at such a critical moment.

After arranging the gifts on the table and retreating to a corner, he glanced casually at a gaming laptop with its screen still lit. There, displayed before he could close it, was a Dream A Forum page dedicated to Yuan Shiyuan.

Username: OnlyLoveMyYuan_YuanbaoAllAffirmative

The account’s level was surprisingly high.

One of the roommates frantically closed the webpage. But when they returned to the desktop, an enlarged, close-up photo of Yuan Shiyuan suddenly popped up as a dynamic wallpaper.

Ying Mingche: “……”

Alright, I get the picture.

“Why are you all just standing there? Open the gifts and see if you like what I got you!” Yuan Shiyuan urged his roommates to unwrap the boxes, only to discover several additional items inside. He instinctively glanced at the Alphas standing silently in the corner of the dormitory. They all smiled back at him simultaneously.

He immediately understood this was also their way of showing they cared.

Fortunately, the gifts from the Alphas weren’t particularly extravagant—mostly practical items like smartwatches, small speakers, and computer mice, perfect for university students.

“Why did you buy this game console? It’s so expensive!” Roommate A exclaimed as he unboxed the console, his first reaction being to worry about how hard Yuan Shiyuan had to work to earn money.

“Quit your whining, Brother,” Yuan Shiyuan replied. “Just turn it on and try it out. Here’s the receipt and warranty card—keep them safe for after-sales service if anything goes wrong later…”

Roommate A carefully unwrapped the game console, his movements even slower as he remembered it was a gift from Yuan Shiyuan, fearing he might accidentally scratch or bump it. He even planned to meticulously preserve the plastic wrapping.

After a moment, he mumbled awkwardly, “Can you… teach me how to use it? I’ve never played before.”

“Cut the crap,” Roommate B scoffed, rolling his eyes. “You’ve watched the tutorials a million times—don’t pretend you don’t know how to play.”

“Honestly, are you just trying to sneak in a handhold with our Yuan?”

Before Yuan Shiyuan could even respond, Roommate A’s face flushed crimson.

Yuan Shiyuan didn’t take his roommate’s words to heart, assuming he was just too nervous and unsure how to operate the game.

“Actually, I’ve never played this before either,” he mused. After a moment’s thought, he tried pressing the power button and fiddling with the controls. “Click here, then here… Should be good to go?”

The game started smoothly.

However, Roommate A’s gaze remained fixed not on the screen, but on Yuan Shiyuan’s slender, pale fingers. Eventually, his eyes drifted up to Yuan Shiyuan’s face.

Roommate A never expected Yuan Shiyuan to look up at that exact moment. Caught red-handed, Yuan Shiyuan raised an eyebrow slightly. “What are you staring at? What’s on your mind?”

In the time since they’d last seen each other, Yuan Shiyuan’s hair had grown considerably longer. Though his features and build were unchanged, he now exuded an intangible aura that made him seem distant and unattainable.

Roommate A sighed. “Yuanzi, I feel like… we’re growing further apart.”

Yuan Shiyuan suddenly leaned closer. “But I’m right here in front of you?”

“Not like that. It’s just…” Roommate A struggled to articulate his feelings. “It’s just… I feel like it’ll be really hard to even eat together in the future.”

Even though Yuan Shiyuan had always been busy, juggling part-time jobs, they used to banter and joke in the dorm group chat, often going to class together. Sometimes, they’d oversleep, and the entire dorm would scramble to get ready, rushing to the lecture hall in chaotic disarray…

Now that Yuan Shiyuan was even busier, he rarely posted in the dorm group chat, and opportunities to meet in person had become increasingly rare.

If they wanted to see Yuan Shiyuan, they’d probably have to rely on his officially announced offline schedules.

The blissful days of waking up and seeing Yuan Shiyuan asleep in his bunk had slipped through their fingers unnoticed, never to return.

“Dinner? That’s just a phone call away,” Yuan Shiyuan said, half-joking. “If you’re treating, then I’ll definitely come mooch off you.”

Roommate A quickly replied, “Of course I’ll treat! How could I possibly let you pay?”

It was clear that Yuan Shiyuan had a genuine bond with his roommates. Throwing an arm around each other’s shoulders was commonplace, and Yuan Shiyuan would occasionally tease, “What’s with all this A-same stuff?”

Despite his teasing, Yuan Shiyuan never truly rejected his roommates’ advances. On the contrary, the Alpha being teased often blushed crimson, looking utterly flustered.

The remarkably harmonious dormitory atmosphere left the S-rank alphas accompanying Yuan Shiyuan with nothing to do but observe.

Having not seen his roommates in ages, Yuan Shiyuan was relishing their rare reunion, chatting animatedly. But he hadn’t forgotten business matters. When the time was right, he bid farewell and prepared to leave.

As he glanced up, he noticed a row of S-rank alphas standing quietly in a corner, their expressions utterly bizarre.

Why are they all wearing that same expression?

“Leaving already?” one of his roommates asked, rising with Yuan Shiyuan.

“Yeah, I have plans back at the company later,” Yuan Shiyuan replied.

Roommate B looked at Yuan Shiyuan, then suddenly embraced him in front of everyone.

Taken aback by the gesture, Yuan Shiyuan paused before returning the hug with a hearty laugh.

“What’s with the melodrama?” he teased. “Fine, fine, a hug it is. We’re brothers for life!”

Bo Jin let out a silent, scornful snort.

Brothers for life?

More like “brothers for one night,” right?

Standing nearby, Ying Mingxi thanked Yuan Shiyuan’s roommates in a warm tone: “Thank you for taking care of Little Yuan. He often mentions you, saying you’re his very close friends.”

Roommate A’s expression wasn’t particularly enthusiastic. “It’s just what we should do.”

Ying Mingxi maintained his gentle, poised smile.

Bo Jin, however, couldn’t muster even a flicker of a smile.

He now understood exactly why he hadn’t been chosen. His composure completely shattered; the only vestige of professionalism left was his ability to keep a dark expression from surfacing right then and there.

Ying Mingxi, remarkably, still maintained his composure, smiling warmly at Yuan Shiyuan’s roommates. Even when met with coldness, he remained unfazed, as if he possessed no temper whatsoever.

Back in the car, Ying Mingche was the first to lose his patience. “Are they really just your roommates and friends?”

Yuan Shiyuan settled into his seat as Jiang Heng fastened his seatbelt. Hearing the question, Jiang Heng glanced over sharply.

Yuan Shiyuan looked utterly bewildered by their scrutiny. “What else could they be?”

Ying Mingche’s expression remained skeptical.

Jiang Heng phrased his observation delicately. “Your relationship with them seems… extremely close.”

“Of course! They’ve always been so good to me,” Yuan Shiyuan explained. “On my first day of school, they noticed my mom didn’t look well—probably sick… Later, they went with me to the hospital to visit her and even pooled their money to buy her supplements.”

As freshmen with limited living expenses and constant financial pressures, those supplements represented a heartfelt gesture, painstakingly saved from their meager budgets.

Yuan Shiyuan never forgot their kindness.

“Really good to you?” Bo Jin pressed. “How good exactly?”

“Whenever I changed my sheets, they’d help me. Sometimes I’d get back late, and the laundry room would be full, so they’d just wash my clothes by hand for me…”

Ying Mingche asked gently, “By hand?”

Yuan Shiyuan looked puzzled. “If the laundry room’s full, of course they washed them by hand.”

If there had been space, his roommates wouldn’t have needed to help in the first place.

Bo Jin’s expression grew increasingly strange. “Are you absolutely sure they only see you as a brother?”

These actions, combined with everything they’d witnessed just now…

Yuan Shiyuan’s roommates were practically treating him like a wife, weren’t they?

What is this? Dormitory polyandry?

If Yuan Shiyuan hadn’t joined Scepter, would things have actually progressed this way when he returned to campus after the semester started?

Their intentions were so obvious that Yuan Shiyuan saw through their suspicions instantly.

He was utterly speechless. “What are you even thinking? We’re just good brothers. Don’t taint our pure brotherhood with your filthy minds and unhealthy thoughts.”

Bo Jin countered, “Aren’t we good brothers too?”

Yuan Shiyuan fell silent.

Seeing his silence, the Alphas exchanged knowing smiles. Yuan Shiyuan’s reaction was exactly what they’d anticipated.

“You said not to let anyone taint your brotherhood,” Ying Mingche murmured, wrapping his arms around Yuan Shiyuan from behind. “But it’s fine if we do.”

“No more coming over here. I can’t take it anymore,” Ying Mingche’s voice grew increasingly aggrieved, his eyes filled with a haunting resentment. “Even now, I only get my turn once a week at best.”

Though it was the truth, the way Ying Mingche phrased it made it sound so bizarre.

Yuan Shiyuan slapped Bo Jin’s face away. “Stop it. Anyway, my roommates and I get along great. It’s just a simple brotherly bond. Don’t overthink it.”

“That’s how you see it, but they might not,” Bo Jin retorted, clearly sensing their hostility and rejection. “Did you know they each have a life-sized body pillow of you on their beds?”

Even blood brothers wouldn’t keep life-sized pillows of each other on their beds, yet Yuan Shiyuan’s roommates each had one!

And that was just what was visible.

Who knows what other Yuan Shiyuan-related merchandise might be hidden under their blankets?

“What’s the big deal?” Yuan Shiyuan shrugged it off. “We barely knew each other when you asked to smell my neck gland. Did I say anything?”

Yuan Shiyuan had always been generous about such things.

The Alphas froze, their expressions stiffening as they shot disapproving glances at Bo Jin.

Ying Mingche reacted most vehemently. “What?!”

“You smelled his gland? Why didn’t you just ask him to drop his pants? Bo Jin, I never realized you were the biggest pervert of all!” Ying Mingche sneered. “Brother Zhuang always calls me a pervert, but compared to you, I’m practically innocent.”

At least he wouldn’t ask to smell Yuan Shiyuan’s gland upon their first meeting.

Jiang Heng hadn’t expected Bo Jin, renowned for his “straight-A cancer” mentality, to request smelling Yuan Shiyuan’s gland so soon after meeting him.

Frowning deeply, Jiang Heng remarked, “Smelling his gland right off the bat? That’s definitely a bit twisted.”

Bo Jin attempted to justify himself: “You said your pheromones had no scent and that you could ignore my pheromone attacks. I was just curious…”

“Curiosity doesn’t justify smelling someone’s gland! You’re too casual. Unlike me, who avoids even stray pheromones on the street, terrified of picking up someone else’s scent.” Ying Mingche knelt before Yuan Shiyuan, obediently pressing his face against Yuan Shiyuan’s knee and looking up at him. “I only want to smell your pheromones.”

Yuan Shiyuan tugged at the corner of his lips and patted Ying Mingche’s cheek dismissively. “Mmm, very well-behaved.”

Ying Mingche narrowed his eyes, feeling a smug satisfaction. He glanced triumphantly at the surrounding Alphas, flaunting his victory with a triumphant smirk.

Although Bo Jin still wanted to delve deeper into Yuan Shiyuan’s relationship with his roommates, Yuan Shiyuan’s unwavering openness ultimately forced him to abandon the line of inquiry.

Due to his exceptional looks, Yuan Shiyuan had likely been surrounded by such ill-intentioned “friends” his entire life. Many physical touches and behaviors, as long as they didn’t cross the line too blatantly, seemed like normal friendly interactions to him.

Compounding matters, Yuan Shiyuan had matured early, his “straight-A cancer” mindset deeply ingrained. Even now, as an Omega, he still didn’t perceive many of these behaviors as Alphas taking advantage.

Bo Jin couldn’t help but worry anxiously. He knew all too well how he had climbed to his current position, also starting as a “brother.” Though their current relationship involved sharing a bed and exchanging pheromones, he had long considered Yuan Shiyuan his only true partner.

He was terrified that others, using the same tactic, would succeed in usurping his place.

As Ying Mingche had pointed out, their numbers were already more than enough.

Tension crackled in the car as everyone’s thoughts swirled like undercurrents. Only Yuan Shiyuan, oblivious to the heavy atmosphere, drifted peacefully to sleep.

Just before closing his eyes, he was still mentally rehearsing the script’s scenes.

On the day the film crew officially began shooting, the set was already besieged by enthusiastic fans. Looking out, one saw a sea of faces, each person adorned with Yuan Shiyuan’s merchandise—a vast pink ocean dedicated to him.

Although the weather was gradually cooling, shedding the sweltering heat of summer, Yuan Shiyuan still worried about his fans suffering heatstroke. He instructed the staff to keep essential supplies readily available and arranged for lunch, milk tea, snacks, and other refreshments for both the fans and crew.

In the entertainment industry, where many believe in feng shui, a start-up ceremony was indispensable. Yuan Shiyuan and Director Chen Yin lit incense together, then distributed red envelopes to everyone present, seeking auspicious blessings.

As Yuan Shiyuan busied himself in a whirlwind of activity, an unexpected figure caught his eye.

“Big Brother?” Yuan Shiyuan called out instinctively. Fortunately, everyone was busy and his voice wasn’t loud enough for anyone else to hear.

He and Yu Sijing retreated to a relatively quiet corner. Yuan Shiyuan asked, slightly puzzled, “What are you doing here?”

“I wanted to see you,” Yu Sijing replied with a smile. Noticing Yuan Shiyuan’s surprise, he explained, “I’ve decided to invest in this drama.”

Before Yuan Shiyuan could respond, he added, “It’s also what Mom and Dad wanted.”

Knowing this gesture came from his family’s heart, the corners of Yuan Shiyuan’s lips curled upward unconsciously. He understood their intentions perfectly well.

Artists backed by substantial capital often wield considerable influence on set. Yu Jiao and her husband were eager to support their son’s career, just like any parents who would lift their child to success, providing him with every advantage.

“I’ll thank Mom and Dad later,” Yuan Shiyuan paused, then glanced at Yu Sijing and murmured, “Big Brother, thank you too.”

“Don’t mention it,” Yu Sijing’s smile deepened. “They didn’t want me to tell you, but I’m sneaking this to you.”

He changed the subject abruptly. “First time acting? Nervous?”

Yuan Shiyuan answered honestly, “Yes, but the director and senior actors have been very kind and patient. They know I’m new and have been especially considerate.”

“Anything else? Have you needed anything lately? Any difficulties at work?” Yu Sijing asked. “If you need anything at all, don’t hesitate to contact me.”

Yu Sijing was a businessman, accustomed to authority. He rarely revealed his feelings so directly.

In fact, his current eagerness almost seemed desperate, as if he couldn’t wait to lay everything he possessed at Yuan Shiyuan’s feet.

“Big Brother, I understand your intentions,” Yuan Shiyuan said, “but you’re being too hasty.”

Yuan Shiyuan wasn’t naive. He knew Yu Sijing had feelings for him. Yu Sijing had invested in the film crew, chased after him to the set, and would likely continue to visit frequently under the guise of being an investor…

All of this—the immense investment of money and time—was merely to create legitimate opportunities to be close to him.

“Too hasty?” Yu Sijing paused, then chuckled bitterly. “I thought I was being remarkably restrained.”

“You’re young, and the world ahead will grow ever richer, filled with new faces. While I’ve achieved some success, my years are fading. In your life, I’ll only become increasingly insignificant.”

“That’s why I’m so desperate to please you, yearning for your favor, craving just one more glance from you.” He stepped closer, closing the distance between them, his voice dropping to a low, tender murmur. “Resources are meant to be used. Shiyuan, you don’t need to be polite with me. Even setting aside my role as a suitor, I’m still your Big Brother.”

“Everything I have belongs to you, to command as you wish.”

Yuan Shiyuan parted his lips, about to say something, when he suddenly felt a scorching gaze from behind.

Turning his head slightly, he saw Su Luochen standing in the shadows at the end of the corridor, dressed in a security guard uniform. Su Luochen was staring in their direction with a malevolent glare, his eyes brimming with hostility.

More precisely… that hostility seemed directed at Yu Sijing?

Just then, Yu Sijing leaned down, bringing their gazes level. But his deliberate bending posture, despite his formal suit, created an ambiguous illusion, trapping Yuan Shiyuan within the confines of his presence.

Yuan Shiyuan could clearly sense the lurking Alpha’s animosity intensifying, the palpable aggression piercing him like a physical force.

As an Alpha himself, Yu Sijing understood the meaning of that gaze better than anyone.

It was the unique, possessive, and aggressive glare a male reserves for his rivals.

“Your former teammate has been watching you the whole time,” Yu Sijing murmured, his tone casual yet deliberate. “Should we go say hello?”

“Just a former teammate, not an ex-boyfriend,” Yuan Shiyuan replied without turning around, dismissing the matter. “No need. Let him stare if he wants.”

Their relationship hadn’t reached that level yet.

Fortunately, they were far enough apart that even with Su Luochen’s keen hearing, he couldn’t possibly overhear their conversation. Though Yuan Shiyuan couldn’t fathom why Su Luochen wore such an incandescently furious expression, he didn’t dwell on it—it was none of his business anyway.

What puzzled Yuan Shiyuan was why Su Luochen, with his domineering and arrogant nature, would even agree to play such an insignificant role.

Could Ximi Entertainment’s resources really have dwindled to this extent? Shouldn’t their manager have intervened?

Seeing Yuan Shiyuan’s calm demeanor, Yu Sijing chuckled softly, his gaze settling on the pink strands of hair slightly disheveled by the wind. He instinctively reached out to smooth them back into place, but his fingers froze mid-air, and he restrained himself, withdrawing his hand with a gentlemanly distance.

“I won’t disturb your work any further,” Yu Sijing said, lowering his gaze deeply, his magnetic voice polite but tinged with a barely perceptible plea. “Shiyuan, could you seriously consider what I said earlier?”

“Please… let me have the chance to do something for you.”

Yuan Shiyuan didn’t see Yu Sijing off. He stood there for a moment, lost in thought.

As he turned to leave, he saw Su Luochen, still in his security guard uniform, storming toward him, his face flushed with anger.

However, when Su Luochen stopped in front of Yuan Shiyuan, he tilted his chin up like a proud rooster, a smug expression on his face. “Didn’t expect to see me again, did you? Not just today—we’ll be seeing each other every single day now.”

He deliberately emphasized each word, adding, “Every. Single. Day!”

“I certainly didn’t expect you to take such a bit part,” Yuan Shiyuan remarked sincerely. “Is Necro going bankrupt?”

His tone was clearly mocking, yet his voice remained soft, tinged with a hint of gentleness.

Hearing his voice up close and gazing at Yuan Shiyuan’s exquisite yet aloof features, Su Luochen suddenly felt his cheeks burning. He awkwardly averted his gaze.

Yuan Shiyuan was baffled.

Why is Su Luochen blushing out of nowhere?

“Who was that guy just now?” Su Luochen abruptly changed the subject, feigning ignorance in a voice dripping with jealousy. “What was he doing? Trying to hug you? Whispering sweet nothings in your ear?”

“How can you be so intimate with just anyone?!”

“I’m naturally charming,” Yuan Shiyuan replied nonchalantly. “Can’t help it.”

If anyone else had said those words, they would have sounded arrogant. But coming from Yuan Shiyuan, they were surprisingly convincing.

“You’re so nice to everyone…” Su Luochen muttered softly, his voice tinged with resentment. “…except me.”

Yuan Shiyuan didn’t hear him clearly. “What was that?”

Nearby, Chen Yin hurried over with a group of staff. “Shiyuan! We’ve been looking for you! Come quickly—the set and camera angles are ready. Let the stand-in rehearse the blocking first.”

“Oh, and you and Ying Mingxi should start preparing as well.”

“Our first scene? A kissing scene.”

Before Yuan Shiyuan could respond, Su Luochen, still in his security guard uniform, exploded, his voice suddenly rising sharply. “What?!”

A kissing scene?!

This was one of Director Chen Yin’s unique filming habits.

Actors are usually unfamiliar with each other when they first join a film crew, and it takes time to fully immerse themselves in their roles. To expedite this process and break down barriers, he often starts by filming passionate or intimate scenes right away.

Physical intimacy, he believed, would gradually foster emotional closeness, effectively dissolving any natural resistance between the actors.

“That’s right, we’ll start with the kissing scene.”

Chen Yin directed the staff, then turned to Yuan Shiyuan and Ying Mingxi, saying, “You two should kiss whenever you have a spare moment on set, just to cultivate that romantic atmosphere.”

“And Jiang Heng too… It’s best if you kiss Ying Mingxi both in front of him and behind his back, to capture that forbidden thrill and the sense of betrayal.”

“This is the scene we’re shooting next. Take another look at the script and find the emotion.”

This was a scene of explosive emotional intensity.

The usually gentle and refined Alpha, who had always been as warm and smooth as jade, discovers that his cherished young lover has betrayed him. Not only has the lover repeatedly cheated with other Alphas, but he even brought his paramour to their shared nest, defiling the very bed where they had shared countless tender moments…

A tempest of fury, the agony of betrayal, and incredulous disappointment…

Though these emotions raged within him, the Alpha doesn’t immediately confront his lover. Yet all that suppressed anguish erupts the moment he sees him, transforming into a brutal, punitive kiss.

“This kiss needs to be brutal—a stark contrast to your usual refined demeanor…”

Knowing further argument would be futile, Chen Yin waved his hand dismissively. “Just get on with it. A few more takes and you’ll get the hang of it.”

Under the glare of multiple cameras, Yuan Shiyuan took a deep breath and looked at the Alpha before him.

He had plenty of kissing experience, but being observed by so many strangers—under the unforgiving gaze of the cameras—was a first.

“Does being watched feel strange?” Ying Mingxi asked, as if sensing his tension. He reached out, his hand gliding down Yuan Shiyuan’s neck to gently knead his nape. The Alpha chuckled softly. “Shiyuan, you’ll need to get used to it.”

“This… feeling of being watched.”

Saying it was one thing; putting it into practice proved far more difficult.

Before Yuan Shiyuan could reply, the director called out, “Action!” The large hand gripping his nape suddenly tightened, forcing him toward the Alpha against his will.

Before he could brace himself, the Alpha’s lips were on his. A rough tongue slid uninvited between his parted lips, rubbing against his mouth and probing deep into his oral cavity.

“Mmmph…!”

The multi-angle cameras captured every detail, even the intricate dance of their intertwined tongues with startling clarity. Yuan Shiyuan’s fair, delicate face quickly flushed a vivid pink, the corners of his eyes brimming with shimmering tears.

Fragmented whimpers escaped his forcibly parted lips. His slender fingers, no longer under his control, clutched at the Alpha’s shoulders, as if to push him away, but he lacked the strength…

Bo Jin and the others, observing from the monitor room, should have been seething with anger and jealousy. Yet, seeing Yuan Shiyuan’s expression—breathless and dazed from the intensity of the kiss—they were strangely stunned, forgetting to react.

Even Su Luochen stared blankly ahead. This was the first time he had ever seen… Yuan Shiyuan so utterly captivating.

It was also the first time he had glimpsed Yuan Shiyuan wearing such a dazed, disoriented expression.

When had they ever seen Yuan Shiyuan like this before?

The Alpha, betrayed by his lover, kissed him with unprecedented ferocity. Watching Yuan Shiyuan’s gaze gradually cloud over, the Alpha felt both heart-wrenching pain and furious resentment.

Had other Alphas done this to him too? Did he make that same expression for them?

Besides him, how many others had seen him like this?!

The Alpha’s kisses grew increasingly intense, his rough tongue distorting Yuan Shiyuan’s face. When Yuan Shiyuan finally struggled for breath, the Alpha, still mindful of him, slowly withdrew from the kiss.

As their lips parted, Yuan Shiyuan’s hands remained clasped around the Alpha’s neck. A shimmering silver thread stretched between their mouths, adding an erotic sheen to lips already swollen and wet.

The Alpha gazed at Yuan Shiyuan’s dazed expression, then leaned down again, his tongue darting out to greedily lick every trace of moisture from the corners of Yuan Shiyuan’s lips.

Just then, Yuan Shiyuan seemed to lose his strength, staggering backward.

Fortunately, a large hand firmly steadied his lower back. His upper body arched backward with lithe grace, forming an alluring curve.

His head fell back perfectly into the Alpha’s waiting palm. He gasped for air, his mouth wide open, copious saliva dripping from the corners of his lips, dampening his chin and leaving a small, glistening stain.

Seeing the Alpha lower his head again, Yuan Shiyuan instinctively turned his head away, as if unable to bear the overwhelming sensation. His long, water-soaked eyelashes trembled delicately. His still-dazed, moisture-laden gaze, yet to fully recover from the kiss, pierced the scorching sunlight and drifted toward the camera’s lens, locking onto the unseen eyes beyond it.

That gaze held a hint of bewilderment, yet radiated an unconscious allure.

The usually bustling film set fell into an eerie silence.

It was so quiet that the small, damp breaths escaping Yuan Shiyuan’s parted lips could be heard clearly in the center of the venue.

Every gaze remained fixed on Yuan Shiyuan, no one daring to breathe too loudly.

The S-rank alphas’ superior senses allowed them to perceive every minute detail before them: the reddened corners of Yuan Shiyuan’s eyes, his glistening lips, the undried saliva clinging to his chin…

Even the gentle rise and fall of Yuan Shiyuan’s chest with each breath were rendered with such clarity that it seemed as if he were standing right before them.

The alphas’ knuckles tightened unconsciously as their Adam’s apples bobbed involuntarily.

They knew this was just a film set, and everything was staged. Yet the vividly realistic, visually striking scene held them captive, unable to look away.

The close-up view amplified the sense of immersion. It felt as though…

As though they themselves were the alphas currently kissing Yuan Shiyuan into a daze, leaving him so weak he could barely stand.
