Chapter 67: Divine Artifact: Sea-Calming Divine Needle

“This is the Dao Scripture: Foundation Establishment Chapter.” As Zhuge Feng received the “Dao Scripture: Foundation Establishment” and stepped out of the Immortal Law Pavilion, he looked up and saw Su Bai standing atop the mountain. He noticed that his Master often liked to stand alone at the mountain’s peak, gazing into the distance.

Once, he asked his Master why he enjoyed standing at the summit. The answer from Su Bai left a lasting impression on him.

“The world!”

These two brief words contain boundless ambition and aspiration! The vast expanse of the heavens and earth, the mountains stretching for thousands of miles.

“The world is vast and boundless, yet all my thoughts are directed towards the territory of the Heavenly Dao Sect, and wherever my eyes can see, it is all the disciples of the Heavenly Dao Sect!”

“This is my pursuit!”

The vastness of the heavens and earth is beyond anyone’s knowledge! All living beings under the heavens shall become members of the Heavenly Dao Sect!

What a grand ambition this is!

That day, upon hearing these words, Zhuge Feng couldn’t help but be shaken to his core. He gazed at Su Bai, slowly clenching his fist, “Master, if you seek to conquer the world, I will always be your vanguard in the front lines!”

Zhuge Feng turned around and resolutely walked towards the Divine Artifact Pavilion to select his exclusive divine artifact.

As Zhuge Feng stepped into the Divine Artifact Pavilion, he was immediately struck by the scene before him. From the outside, the Divine Artifact Pavilion appeared only a few dozen feet in length and width, but once inside, he realized the space within was incredibly vast.

At a glance, it seemed endless!

Zhuge Feng seemed to be standing in the void, gazing down at a world! Within the Divine Artifact Pavilion, there actually contained a small world!

Surrounding him in the empty space were countless weapons.

Swords, sabers, spears, arrows, halberds, axes, broadswords, hooks, forks…

Endless in number!

Hammers, bells, tripods, cauldrons, mirrors, bottles, jars, vases…

Everything one could possibly imagine!

There were even many oddly shaped weapons that Zhuge Feng couldn’t name.

“How am I supposed to choose?”

He felt bewildered.

There were simply too many options, and he had no idea how long it would take to find the one that resonated within him!

“These weapons are not real; they are illusions meant for your imagination. Close your eyes and envision the form and nature of the weapon you most desire to forge.”

At that moment, an ancient voice echoed in Zhuge Feng’s mind.

Zhuge Feng was momentarily taken aback but quickly realized that the Immortal Law Pavilion had a Guardian Spirit, so this voice must be the Guardian Spirit of the Divine Artifact Pavilion!

He respectfully replied, “Thank you for the reminder, Senior Guardian Spirit.”

Then, he closed his eyes and began to imagine the form and nature of the weapon.

A staff…

How long should it be?

How thick should it be?

What should its weight be?

What about the patterns? If it were Xiao Lingxi, she could perhaps handle this easily. However, Zhuge Feng didn’t have the same expansive vision or imaginative capabilities as Xiao Lingxi, and he simply couldn’t think of any unique features for a staff weapon.

After a moment, he opened his eyes, and in front of him appeared a strange fire staff. This fire staff was about three feet long, completely red, and the surface was entwined with flickering flames, making it look rather… unattractive!

“Is this the form you’ve decided on? Once confirmed, it cannot be changed again,” the Guardian Spirit’s voice resonated.

Zhuge Feng felt a bit embarrassed; even he thought the thing looked ugly, and if he took it out, he would probably be laughed at by many. But this was the best he could imagine.

Meanwhile, outside, Su Bai looked toward the Divine Artifact Pavilion and naturally noticed Zhuge Feng’s awkward situation. As his eldest disciple, Zhuge Feng possessed the Battle Saint Body and Heavenly Spirit Root, ensuring he would be a great asset in the future. What a joke it would be if the Heavenly Dao Sect were to dominate the world and its eldest disciple presented a fire stick!

Thinking of this, Su Bai closed his eyes and found a video in his mind which he transmitted to Zhuge Feng.

In the Divine Artifact Pavilion, Zhuge Feng was hesitating, wondering if he should just go with the fire stick. Suddenly, a voice entered his mind.

“I’m showing you a piece of footage; decide after watching it.”

Zhuge Feng was slightly taken aback—was Master helping him? Soon after, an image appeared in his mind.

“Great Sage, where are you going?”

“To strike the Heavenly Palace and shatter the Spirit Skies.”

In the image, a figure clad in red armor stood proudly, with a red cloak billowing in the wind.

Surrounding him were a hundred thousand heavenly soldiers and generals, coldly staring at him.

Each heavenly soldier was once an extraordinary genius from the mortal realm, a talent appearing once in a thousand years, rarely found in ten thousand years.

Each general was a standout among immortals, undefeated in countless battles before ascension, having slain demons and monsters, unmatched in the world.

One person stood against a hundred thousand heavenly soldiers and generals!

This scene caused Zhuge Feng’s breath to quicken suddenly.

For some reason, he faintly felt that the blood within him began to boil, sensing a connection with that figure!

Is it… the physique?

“Boom!”

The peerless battle erupted; that figure pulled a slender needle from his ear, which instantly transformed into a golden iron rod in his hand!

As the iron rod swung, it emitted a dazzling light, as bright as a comet streaking across the sky.

“Roar—!”

A hundred thousand heavenly soldiers roared in anger, collectively urging their celestial essence, forming a torrent that engulfed the entire sky.

Yet that golden iron rod was unstoppable!

Despite the surging flood sweeping through, it stood firm amidst the towering waves, unyielding, piercing straight into the clouds!

The hundred thousand heavenly soldiers could not find a single match!

The video was brief, but it left Zhuge Feng deeply shaken.

What a powerful existence!

That overwhelming battle intent, that world-shaking fighting spirit, even though it was separated by an image, it deeply shook Zhuge Feng’s soul.

Although the figure’s appearance flashed by in an instant, he could still see the defiance on his face and the dominant aura that looked down upon the world.

“I know how to choose!”

Zhuge Feng closed his eyes, and in his mind, the image of that golden iron rod echoed.

It could be big or small.

It could be long or short.

It could be thick or thin.

It could defend against enemies, kill foes, hold up the heavens, or shatter the earth!

Moments later, Zhuge Feng opened his eyes, and in front of him, a golden iron rod materialized.

The rod was intricately carved with dragons and phoenixes, vividly lifelike, with patterns that seemed to leap as if alive.

“Are you sure about this appearance? Once confirmed, it cannot be changed again,” the Guardian Spirit’s voice rang out once more.

“Yes, I’m sure!”

This time, Zhuge Feng did not hesitate and nodded firmly.

With his confirmation, the golden iron rod in front of him transformed from illusion to reality, appearing before him.

It gleamed brilliantly, flowing with luminous treasure light.

Outside, Su Bai saw this scene and nodded in satisfaction.

This is the kind of divine artifact that his foremost disciple of the Heavenly Dao Sect should possess!

Zhuge Feng extended his hand and grasped the golden iron rod before him. In an instant, the rod connected with his mind and spirit, achieving a perfect harmony, and a strong sense of intimacy arose within him. The battle bloodline within him seemed to be activated, elevating Zhuge Feng’s fighting spirit to an extraordinarily terrifying realm. Regardless of what enemies lay ahead, he could charge forward without hesitation! He could challenge the heavens and battle on the land!

“What is the name of this divine artifact?” After calming down, he couldn’t help but murmur the question. The Guardian Spirit’s voice answered the doubt in his heart: “This is the Sea-Calming Divine Needle!”
