In the car, Tang Xin saw that Tang Yu had liked her WeChat post. A wave of guilt washed over her as she glanced again at their chat window, where 98 red envelopes with “I like you” still awaited her claim. Feeling a pang of pity, she tapped open one more envelope.

Meanwhile, the 11 red envelopes she hadn’t claimed the previous day had just been refunded to Tang Yu’s account. Seeing them, he let out a soft scoff.

Fine. Ninety-eight to go.

He sent her a message.

Tang Yu: Rich Girl, do you even have a conscience?
Tang Xin: I do…
Tang Yu: When are you coming back?

That was his main concern.

Tang Xin: Four or five days, maybe. I haven’t been home in so long, and after being abroad for such a long time, they’re worried about me.

Tang Xin sat alone in the back seat of the car, juggling her parents’ endless questions and replying to Tang Yu’s texts. It almost felt like she was reporting her whereabouts, softening her stance bit by bit.

Her mother glanced back from the front seat. “Xin Xin, stop playing on your phone while we’re driving. Doesn’t it make you dizzy?”

Tang Xin mumbled an acknowledgment, then sneaked another glance at her phone.

Tang Yu: Alright, have fun. I’ll wait for you to come back.

Tang Xin couldn’t resist smiling. His words always had a way of melting her resolve. She tapped open another red envelope.

Tang Yu saw it and chuckled quietly to himself.

Back in Suzhou, Tang Xin fully indulged herself, catching up with friends and enjoying her time off.

Tang Yu continued his relentless red-envelope campaign, sending as many as he could. No matter how many he sent, Tang Xin held her ground, claiming just one or two per day at most.

Then came the incident with the Counterterrorism crew.

The news left Tang Xin stunned and panicked. She frantically called Tang Yu, but his line was busy. Her growing anxiety reached a boiling point. Though she didn’t want to believe what she was reading, she knew how grueling filming conditions could be.

And if Tang Yu’s phone wasn’t reachable, something serious must have happened. As the president of Elite Vision Entertainment, his line was probably overwhelmed with calls.

Unable to sit still, Tang Xin worried about Ming Zhu, Director Jiang, and everyone on the crew. She understood how catastrophic it would be if there were casualties during production. The potential repercussions for the company—and Tang Yu himself—would be enormous.

Tang Xin changed her evening flight to an early-morning one, packed hastily, and headed for the airport.

On the way, Tang Yu called her.

“Tang Yu, what’s happening? Is it really as bad as the internet says?” Tang Xin asked urgently.

She had already checked the company group chat, where the situation had largely been confirmed.

This wasn’t something that could be hidden. The entire company was in turmoil. Four hundred people made up the production team, and this wasn’t just any incident—it was an attack by violent extremists.

Elite Vision Entertainment was in chaos, something it had never experienced in all its years. Tang Yu’s voice was hoarse from hours of nonstop calls since the crack of dawn. “Yes. Don’t be afraid. The military is handling the rescue.”

The terrifying scenes she imagined flashed through her mind, leaving her on the verge of tears. “What about Ming Zhu? What if something happens to her?”

Tang Yu spoke in a low, calming tone. “We have to trust the military. They’ll handle this. Everyone will be okay. Let’s wait for news, alright?”

“I’m on my way to the airport…”

“Good,” Tang Yu said, having expected this. He added, “I’ll send a driver to pick you up. Stay calm, and don’t be scared. Trust our military, okay?”

Tang Yu’s deep respect for the military stemmed from his father, Tang Haicheng, who had instilled in him the utmost confidence in their capabilities.

Tang Xin, unable to hold back her tears, lowered her head and murmured, “Okay…”

Back in Beicheng.

Tang Xin found Tang Yu’s driver and spent the car ride anxiously scrolling through Weibo for updates. Her heart felt like it was suspended in midair.

By the time she reached Elite Vision Entertainment, the building was surrounded by fans and relatives of crew members, all desperate for information. Tang Xin couldn’t get through the crowd until Tang Yu dispatched a security team to clear a path.

When Tang Yu reached her, he immediately pulled her into his arms.

The moment she saw him, Tang Xin burst into tears. “Tang Yu…”

Tang Yu held her tightly, shielding her head as they pushed through the crowd to the safety of the building. Once inside, he glanced down at her tear-streaked face. “Come upstairs with me first.”

Everything that could be done had already been handled. All they could do now was wait for updates.

In his office, Tang Yu turned and pressed her against the door, hugging her tightly. His voice was hoarse. “Thank goodness you came back.”

Tang Xin’s eyes were red as she clung to him, trembling. “But Ming Zhu is still there… What if something happens to her?”

“I know,” Tang Yu said, his voice steady despite the storm of emotions within. “But the fact that you’re safe is something to be grateful for.”

He had to stay clear-headed—he had no choice. The situation involved over 400 people, and every life was precious. If even one person were harmed, the consequences would be devastating. Yet he couldn’t help but feel relief that Tang Xin had returned safely and avoided the danger.

“They’ll be okay too,” he added, wiping away her tears.

“Okay…”

Tang Xin buried her face in his chest, seeking comfort and security.

Every second of waiting was agonizing.

When the news finally came that evening, the ordeal was over.

The rescue mission had been successful. Though some crew members were injured, everyone was safe.

The moment Tang Xin heard, she jumped up and hugged Tang Yu tightly.

Tang Yu caught her with ease, his arms wrapping around her securely as he let out a deep sigh of relief.

Over those ten hours, Tang Xin’s thoughts churned nonstop. Life was precious, and no one knew what might happen next. Why waste time playing games with Tang Yu? If you liked someone, say it out loud. If you wanted a relationship, dive in.

There wasn’t a second to waste.

Tang Yu’s phone rang, and he patted her head. “Get down for now, okay? Let me handle these things first, then I’ll hold you again.”

Tang Xin obediently slid off his lap. While he took the call, she opened WeChat and began tapping through the backlog of red envelopes he had sent her the night before, finally claiming more of his “I like you” messages.

After a moment’s thought, she sent him a red envelope of her own.

[I like you.]

I like you too, Tang Yu. I liked you before you even liked me.

When Tang Yu ended his call and turned back, Tang Xin smiled up at him. “Mr. Tang, could I borrow the company’s official Weibo account? Let me post the announcement, please?”

He raised an eyebrow. “What do you want to post?”

“Will you let me or not?” Tang Xin pressed.

Tang Yu, his nerves slightly relaxed after the tense day, found himself in the mood to tease her. “If you’ll be my girlfriend, then yes.”

Tang Xin rolled her eyes playfully. “Just hand it over first.”

Before he could answer, his phone rang again. As he answered, he stepped out, instructing his assistant outside the door. “Give Tang Xin the Weibo account credentials. She’ll make the official announcement.”

The assistant paused in surprise but nodded. “Understood.”

Tang Xin sat in the president’s chair in Tang Yu’s luxurious office, logged into Elite Vision Entertainment’ official Weibo on his computer.

Tang Yu stood behind her, curious about what she was planning.

Her slender fingers danced across the keyboard at lightning speed, typing without pause. Tang Yu watched in astonishment as she churned out words at an incredible pace—at least 160 characters per minute.

With a final press of the enter key, the announcement was sent.

Elite Vision Entertainment Official Weibo (Verified):

“The entire Counterterrorism crew has safely evacuated. We will pick an auspicious date to return to China. Friends and families, prepare to welcome your loved ones, idols, and friends. From now on, let’s cherish life and make the most of our time! In the face of life and time, everything else is a luxury.

If you want to eat something, go eat it. If there’s a movie you haven’t seen, watch it. If there’s a place you’ve dreamed of visiting, go—just ensure your safety. Most importantly, if there’s someone you love, confess now! If you’re in a relationship, treasure it. If you’ve fought, make up! And if you can’t, move on and find your next spring. If you’re single, find someone to love. If there’s someone you’ve fantasized about, sleep with them! If you’re in love, get married. And if you haven’t had kids, start making them—life’s greatest harmony! Best wishes to all!”

The comment section exploded.

“Such good news! Thank you to the military for saving everyone. It’s such a relief to hear everyone is safe!!”

“Wow, Elite Vision Entertainment’s Weibo is surprisingly cheeky today. ‘Be with the person you want’—is this account flirting with us?”

“Whoever wrote this, where’s the usual high-class, low-profile vibe?”

“I want to be with Ji Dongyang!!”

“I want to marry a soldier! Soldiers are the handsomest men in the world. If not for them, we wouldn’t be safe. I love soldiers—I’m marrying one!”

“Wait, are you one of the rescued crew members?”

Tang Xin read through the comments, typing rapid replies while mumbling to herself, “Yes, I’m cheeky today. Otherwise, you’d all be wasting your lives being dramatic. And yes, this account is temporarily me—your beloved screenwriter Tang. By the way, Ji Dongyang already has Zhou Yining; he’s busy for life. Soldiers are indeed the handsomest. The most handsome one was rescued by Ming Zhu, who’s a woman—stop assuming otherwise! Oh, and yes, this commenter is one of our rescued crew, the makeup artist for Counterterrorism. I’m thrilled everyone made it back safely…”

Her voice got louder with each comment she read.

Tang Yu leaned against the bookshelf behind her, chuckling. She was too adorable.

“You type fast,” he teased with a low laugh. “Do you put this much effort into writing scripts? I might have to give you a raise.”

Tang Xin suddenly stood and turned to face him, tilting her chin up proudly. With a sly grin, she stretched out her hand. “Don’t give me a raise. How about your salary card instead?”

Tang Yu raised an eyebrow. “Hmm?”

“I want a black card. Unlimited swipes!” Tang Xin added, her eyes sparkling mischievously.

Tang Yu crossed his arms and sauntered over, leaning against the desk. Gazing down at her, he chuckled. “Sure. But only if you agree to be my girlfriend.”

Tang Xin’s eyes lit up, and she eagerly stretched her hand closer to him. “Give it here! Come on, come on! If you don’t, you’re not a real man!”

Tang Yu’s smile twitched. “…”

There was no satisfaction in this exchange. Instead of feeling like he was winning her over, he felt thoroughly outplayed.

In retaliation, he bent down, biting her lips in frustration. Reaching behind himself, he opened a drawer, pulled out his wallet, and slapped it into her hand.

“Here.”

Tang Xin wrapped her arms around his neck, her face flushed as she bit him back lightly. “Deal!”

Tang Yu wasn’t about to let her off so easily. Pinning her against the desk, he deepened the kiss, then murmured sternly, “What do you mean ‘deal’? Do you think this is a business contract?”

“Then what should I say?” Tang Xin asked breathlessly.

“Say you like me. Say you want to be my girlfriend.”

🎭 Behind the Curtain with Kliraz: Cross-Cultural Love and Lessons! 🎭

Tang Xin’s Weibo takeover is a fun dive into how cultures express emotion online. In China, platforms like Weibo often mix official updates with heartfelt, witty, or even cheeky messages—something that adds personality to otherwise serious companies. Compare this to Japanese Twitter, where updates can be simple but artistic, or the USA, where brands like Wendy’s thrive on sarcasm and meme culture. Which online tone do you prefer—playful, artistic, or straightforward? (*≧▽≦)

Tang Yu’s 99 red envelopes remind us how romantic confessions have evolved globally. In ancient China, poetry was the language of love, with images of moonlight or spring flowers expressing deep emotions. In contrast, Tang Yu’s modern red-envelope blitz combines tradition (red as a color of prosperity) with tech-savvy charm. Similarly, in the Middle East, courtship often involves gifting perfumes or sweets, while in Sweden, casual and direct declarations of love over fika (coffee time) are the norm. Which confession style speaks to your heart? 🌸☕

Then there’s Tang Xin’s sassy request for a black card. Conversations about money in relationships vary. In African cultures, financial discussions often reflect family values, while in Germany, financial independence is prized. What role does money play in love where you’re from? ̄︶ ̄∗ ̄︶ ̄* ̄︶ ̄∗)

Behaviorally, Tang Xin’s humor reflects emotional agility. When life gets overwhelming, playful exchanges reduce anxiety while deepening bonds. How do you use humor in your relationships? Share your funniest love moment below—it’s your turn to spill the beans! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
