Tang Xin had barely finished her sentence when she suddenly recalled her previous misstep—the accidental knee strike. Could it be that she had damaged something last time? Or perhaps the exhaustion from dealing with yesterday’s filming stress had overwhelmed him, leaving him too drained? Was that why the first attempt had been so quick?

She began to overthink.

Tang Yu took a deep breath, his face darkening.

All looks and no stamina?!

To a man, those words were the ultimate humiliation. Tang Yu’s expression turned stormy, his eyes boring into Tang Xin with a weighty intensity. His gaze made her shiver, and in an instant, she regretted her words. Oh no, I’ve really said the wrong thing this time!

She blamed herself for getting carried away by the internet gossip on Douban forums.

Tang Yu sneered coldly. “What did you just say?”

Tang Xin forced a dry laugh, scrambling for damage control. “I… didn’t say anything!”

“Mm? Say that again.”

Tang Xin jolted, inching backward slowly until her head bumped against the headboard with a thud. Cradling her head, she hurriedly shook it, denying everything. “I really didn’t say anything. You must have misheard!”

Tang Yu leaned over, his hand pressing against her waist, pulling her back toward him until she was trapped beneath him. With his fingers firmly gripping her chin, his voice came out low and dangerous: “All looks and no stamina?”

Tang Xin screamed, genuinely terrified that Tang Yu might resort to violence. “I swear I didn’t mean it! You’re imagining things!” She flailed her arms, struggling, but Tang Yu easily pinned her wrists above her head. No matter how much she squirmed, she couldn’t break free. Panic flooded her, tears threatening to spill as she stammered, “Let go, Tang Yu! If you dare bully me, I’ll… I’ll hold it against you forever!”

Tang Yu scoffed, his voice teasing yet dangerous: “So, the Feisty Queen never lets herself suffer, huh?”

Tang Xin’s skin brushed against his as she squirmed beneath him. The smooth texture of her bare body, coupled with the sway of her soft chest against his firm one, made the mood shift. What started as anger turned into something much more primal.

Tang Yu’s breath grew heavier.

Unaware of the change in his mood, Tang Xin continued to struggle. “That’s right! I never let myself suffer. If you dare bully me—”

“And what will you do about it?” Tang Yu raised a leg, pinning her thrashing ones down, leaving her completely immobilized.

Tang Xin’s fiery glare met his now-flushed face. She opened her mouth to retort but froze when something rubbed against her—something that made her glance downward in disbelief. Her gaze then slowly traveled back to his face.

“…”

This quick?

Tang Yu let out a low, guttural laugh. His dark eyes gleamed with mischief. “Let’s test that theory of yours, shall we? See if I’m really as useless as you claim.”

Tang Xin panicked, blurting, “No! I still hurt!”

“It won’t hurt after a few more times,” Tang Yu replied smoothly before claiming her lips in a fierce kiss. His tongue pried her mouth open, silencing her protests.

Despite her initial resistance, Tang Yu’s skilled kiss overwhelmed Tang Xin, leaving her pliant beneath him. Her arms circled his neck, and she began to return the kiss, her earlier complaints forgotten.

The dimly lit room was filled only with the sound of their labored breathing, a rhythm that made hearts race.

Tang Xin, her cheeks flushed, stared up at Tang Yu’s face. In that moment, as he hovered above her, immersed in his desire, she found him irresistibly captivating. Unable to resist, she reached out to touch his cheek and whispered softly, “Tang Yu, you’re so handsome…”

Tang Yu’s knee nudged her legs apart, settling between them. He wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her close as he whispered against her ear, “I’m not just handsome—I’m also very capable.”

Tang Xin choked on her own words, stammering, “Can I take back what I said earlier?”

“No.”

The next second, he plunged into her.

Tang Xin let out a pained whimper, but Tang Yu silenced her with another kiss. This time, he wasn’t holding back. No matter how she cried, protested, or pleaded, he kept going relentlessly. All the while, he growled between thrusts, “Am I good enough for you now?”

At first, Tang Xin resisted, determined to hold her ground, but by the end, she was left begging for mercy.

After two more rounds, Tang Xin was thoroughly subdued, left speechless and completely drained.

Tang Yu would have gone another round if not for the bloodstains on the bedsheet. The sight tugged at his heart, making him stop himself.

He carried Tang Xin to the bathroom, carefully cleaning her up before bringing her back to bed. Once she was settled, he headed to the kitchen, poured himself a glass of water, and then filled another cup before returning to the bedroom.

At the bedside, Tang Xin had already drifted off, her lashes softly brushing her cheeks as she lay curled under the blanket. Tang Yu sat beside her and pulled her gently into his arms, cradling her against his chest.

In a low voice, he called, “Wake up and drink some water before you sleep.”

Tang Xin stirred groggily, her irritation evident as she mumbled, “No.” She twisted in his arms, attempting to lie back down.

Tang Yu, amused, caught her chin between his fingers and pressed the cup against her lips. A teasing smile tugged at his mouth as he chuckled. “No? After losing so much water, don’t you think you need to replenish it?”

It took her a moment, but when his meaning dawned on her, Tang Xin’s face turned a deep crimson. She pursed her lips in embarrassment but obediently bit the rim of the cup. Her teeth clinked against the ceramic as she drank, her movements stiff.

Tang Yu was such a scoundrel. Normally, he carried himself with the dignified air of a CEO, but the moment his clothes came off, he transformed into a shameless rogue!

After finishing the water, Tang Xin flipped herself onto her stomach and buried her face into the pillow, ignoring him entirely.

Tang Yu raised a brow, smirking. He placed the empty cup on the bedside table, then slipped under the blanket, wrapping his arms around her from behind.

Still half-asleep, Tang Xin nestled into his embrace, wriggling around until she found a comfortable spot. Slowly, her breathing evened out, and she fell into a deep, peaceful sleep.

For the first time in years, she had someone sleeping beside her—someone she truly loved.

It felt so nice.

By the time Tang Xin woke up the next afternoon, Tang Yu was already gone.

Reaching for her phone, she saw a string of notifications on WeChat.

7:00 AM: I’ve gone to the office. I’ll be busy for the next few days and won’t be able to join you for lunch or dinner. If you get bored, feel free to come to my office.

7:01 AM: I brought your luggage back to my place. The key to my apartment is on the living room coffee table.

7:04 AM: I know your parents visit from time to time, so I didn’t ask you to move everything over. Pack whatever else you need, and I’ll pick you up tonight.

10:50 AM: Something came up. I need to leave for a business trip tomorrow.

11:40 AM: Tsk. Still sleeping, Rich Girl? Time to wake up and collect your red packets.

Tang Xin stared at the barrage of messages and the 99 unread red packets in their chat. Huffing, she muttered to herself, “Tang Yu, you big pig trotter! Who gave you the right to decide that we’d live together? Did I say yes? Did I agree? Just because you send me red packets doesn’t mean I’ll go along with it!”

In protest, she ignored all 99 of the red packets. Somehow, opening them now made her feel like she was being “bought.”

After a moment of thought, she sat cross-legged on the bed and began firing off her own red packets to Tang Yu.

Tang Yu’s phone sat on his desk, buzzing uncontrollably. Assistant Gao paused mid-report, glancing at the vibrating device.

Tang Yu gave it a brief glance before picking it up, gesturing for the assistant to continue.

Assistant Gao nodded and resumed. “The most severely injured is your uncle. He may require a second amputation. One of the photographers is suffering from a concussion and is still under observation…”

Meanwhile, Tang Yu opened WeChat. The screen was filled with red packet notifications from Tang Xin.

He frowned slightly, typing out a series of question marks: ??????

However, Tang Xin didn’t seem to notice—or perhaps she did and just didn’t care—because the red packets kept coming at an alarming rate.

Assistant Gao hesitated. Was now really the time to continue?

Tang Yu set his phone down and looked up, his expression unreadable. “Why did you stop? Keep talking.”
