This place looked like an abandoned hall. However, upon closer inspection, one could still imagine its former splendor through its aged yet still grand decorations and layout.

The space ahead was empty, eerily silent—so silent that not a single sound could be heard. Ye Tian Xie scanned his surroundings and quickly noticed that in the four cardinal directions—east, west, south, and north—stood four statues. Each statue was unique, yet all exuded an overwhelming sense of power. Their sculpted figures were equally imposing, standing at approximately five meters tall.

Directly in front of him, to the south, stood a statue of a man clad in majestic armor, with a colossal sword standing beside him. Due to the passage of time, the man’s face had become indistinct, but the sword beside him remained as imposing as ever. It was an unbelievably massive weapon—taller than the already towering figure of the warrior himself, with a width so vast that it seemed more like a slab of steel than a blade. This was a true greatsword, a weapon that, if wielded by a warrior, could reap countless lives with a single swing.

Unconsciously, Ye Tian Xie stepped forward, standing before the statue. Below it, four characters were inscribed—four words symbolizing the man’s title:

Holy Sword War God.

On the colossal blade, five distinct characters were engraved:

Aersi Dion.

Aersi Dion—the name of this terrifying sword.

To the north stood a statue of a figure cloaked in pitch-black robes, with half of their face concealed. Even though it was merely a statue, it radiated an enigmatic aura that made one’s heart race. Among the four statues, he was the only one without a weapon. Instead, he held a book in his hands.

Approaching closer, Ye Tian Xie could make out the four words inscribed on the book’s cover:

Ninth Heaven!

At the base of this statue was another inscription:

Azure Abyss Demon Emperor.

To the west stood a statue holding an ominous, pitch-black spear—its jagged and menacing design enough to send shivers down one’s spine.

The name of this spear: Twilight of the Gods.

And the name of the warrior who wielded it: Doom Shura.

To the east, there was a massive figure fully encased in thick armor, holding an enormous shield. The weight of the armor made it impossible to distinguish whether the person within was male or female. The sheer bulk of the plating made their figure appear several times larger than normal. Standing before the statue, Ye Tian Xie felt a suffocating sense of oppression pressing down on him.

On the surface of the shield, its name was inscribed:

Eternal Cataclysm.

At the base of the statue, the name of its owner was etched:

Abyss Knight.

The four statues stood in a perfectly symmetrical formation, occupying the four cardinal directions. This symmetrical arrangement hinted at a deeper significance.

A ruin of the Illusory Beast Clan, hidden deep underground, shrouded in darkness…

Holy Sword War God, Azure Abyss Demon Emperor, Doom Shura, Abyss Knight—four awe-inspiring titles. Did these four figures all belong to the Illusory Beast Clan? What exactly did they represent?

Ye Tian Xie wandered the hall for a long time, but after finding no further clues, he pushed open the grand doors—the only exit from the hall. Beyond lay a dark passageway leading to an unknown destination. Raising his guard, he silently stepped forward.

At the Same Time…

A man with azure blue hair slowly descended from the sky, landing before the entrance of the Illusory Beast Clan Ruins. He stood still for a moment, gazing ahead in silence before stepping forward.

However, as soon as he took two steps, his body suddenly struck an invisible barrier. At the same time, an overwhelming force violently repelled him. The blue-haired man frowned slightly as he was forced backward, but he landed steadily. His eyes remained fixed on the space ahead.

After a brief pause, he lifted his right hand. A streak of black lightning flashed across the sky, crackling ominously as it descended. In an instant, the black lightning condensed into a short, pitch-black sword in his grasp. Without hesitation, he swung the blade, its lightning-wreathed edge slicing forward—

Zzzz~~

A sharp, ear-piercing tearing sound reverberated through the air. For a brief moment, a white crack appeared in the seemingly transparent space ahead, but it lasted less than a second before swiftly closing again.

The blue-haired man did not make another attempt. His expression darkened. Taking a few steps back, he called out in a low voice:

“Blue Soul!”

At his summons, a massive wolf covered in deep blue fur materialized behind him. The creature’s arrival sent a powerful shockwave through the air, distorting space itself.

Looking ahead, the blue-haired man furrowed his brows and asked,

“Blue Soul, can you break this barrier?”

The blue wolf’s light blue eyes fixated on the empty space ahead. After a few seconds, it decisively shook its head.

“No. As expected of the strongest race of that era. Even though their calamity wiped them out years ago, the power they left behind is still this terrifying.”

The blue-haired man continued asking,

“Then how confident are you in defeating Orange Fang ?”

“Completely.”

“Then why was Orange Fang able to enter? Did it use some kind of special method?” A hint of confusion appeared on the blue-haired man’s otherwise impassive face.

The blue wolf fell silent for a moment before slowly speaking,

“Orange Fang is indeed inside, there’s no doubt about that… but the way it exists there confuses me. Orange Fang’s power has manifested into an enormous orange tiger—not only possessing divine consciousness but also able to wield its full strength. Yet, the Orange Fang  I sense now feels like it’s in the most primordial stage of its power.”

The blue-haired man nodded slightly but remained silent…

What he did not know was that just minutes before he arrived, someone had passed through the very barrier that even his Judgment Sword could not truly server—without any obstruction.

Illusory Beast Clan Ruins – The Deep, Dark Underground

Normally, in an environment that had been shrouded in darkness for years, devoid of sunlight or any signs of life, the inevitable result would be the emergence of death-type undead creatures.

For instance, the ones currently blocking Ye Tian Xie’s path.

Dark Undead

Level: 25

HP: 1500

Description: A type of floating undead creature that emerges from extreme darkness and can only exist in dark environments.

Innate Ability: Undead Physique

Immune to death-type attacks.

Due to its ethereal body, there is a 10% chance to evade physical attacks.

Weakness:

Fear of Light and Life-type attacks.

Ever since Ye Tian Xie entered the Destiny World, the creatures he encountered most frequently were undead-type beings—whether it was the Skeleton Cave, the Heavenly Soul Cemetery, the Wreckage of Ten Thousand Bones or now, the Illusory Beast Clan Ruins.

Most ordinary players would rarely have the chance to step into undead-infested environments, but Ye Tian Xie had ventured into them time and time again.

The Dark Undead creatures before him were different from the ones he had encountered before. They had no physical bodies—just hazy black mist, blending seamlessly with the extreme darkness around them. If not for his Evil Dragon’s Eye, he wouldn’t have been able to detect them at all.

One, two…

As far as his eyes could see, only two Dark Undead wandered aimlessly in the vast, empty space ahead. This was another abandoned hall-like area that Ye Tian Xie reached after passing through a long, dark corridor.

According to rumors, the Illusory Beast Clan had perished long ago. Given how much time had passed and the absolute darkness of this place, it would have been normal for countless powerful undead to have been born here. However, after walking for so long, he had only encountered these two weaklings.

The best way to deal with undead creatures was, of course, Yao Yao’s healing abilities. But with her current strength, she wasn’t strong enough to instantly kill these two strange undead.

Ye Tian Xie summoned Xiao Bei at the same time and said: “Xiao Bei, go! One for each of us!”

As soon as his words fell, Xiao Bei had already dashed forward. Ye Tian Xie also rushed towards the second undead, but in terms of speed, how could he possibly outrun Xiao Bei? He was quickly left behind.

Xiao Bei nimbly dodged the Dark Undead’s Dark Breath, weaving left and right before pouncing forward. With a flurry of swift claw strikes—

-730, -722, -731, -729!

Without a doubt, an instant kill.

On the other side, Ye Tian Xie arrived slightly later and executed a Dragon Fissure Slash—

-1613!

Another instant kill.

The two Dark Undead had been wiped out. But surprisingly, they did not vanish. Instead of dispersing into nothingness, the two masses of dark mist remained floating in the air.

Ye Tian Xie furrowed his brows and was about to ignore them and move forward…

But suddenly, the two masses of gray fog that should have dissipated began condensing into new forms.

One transformed into the shape of a dark-colored saber-toothed tiger.

The other took on the form of a rhinoceros-like beast, with a sharp horn protruding from its head.

Phantom Beast Undead – Saber-Toothed Tiger

As soon as these new undead creatures took shape, they immediately lunged at Ye Tian Xie.

Ye Tian Xie swiftly turned around, unleashing two Dragon Fissure Slashes, instantly slaying the Phantom Beast Saber-Toothed Tiger.

On the other side, before the Phantom Beast Unicorn could even land its first attack, it had already been knocked down in an instant by Xiao Bei’s powerful Meow-Meow Punch.

What’s going on?

Ye Tian Xie frowned in confusion as he looked at the two now motionless undead creatures on the ground.

Revived after death?

No… not quite.

Their forms had completely changed, and their strength had doubled.

They had transformed from ordinary monsters into one-star elite creatures.

Shaking off his thoughts, Ye Tian Xie began surveying the hall…

This place was unusually empty.

Apart from himself, Yao Yao, and Xiao Bei, the only other things in sight were the two fallen corpses of the undead beasts. There was nothing else—no other creatures, no objects.

The floor was smooth, and the walls were eerily polished…

And other than the corridor he had entered from, there was no visible door or exit leading anywhere else.

Ye Tian Xie walked around the area several times, yet still could not find any exit… From the hall with the four statues where he started, there had been no branching paths; it seemed there should be no other passages. Why then, did this place lead to a dead end!?

Just at that moment, a mass of black smoke rose in this pitch-black world… Within the black smoke, the corpses of the undead saber-toothed tiger and the undead unicorn slowly stood up from the ground. At the same time, their bodies trembled and twisted, gradually enlarging and deforming amidst intense contortions…
