My Straight Girlfriend with Skin Hunger Syndrome - Chapter 66
Chapter 66
Awoo…
Yi Shanshan whimpered softly, like a little puppy.
Ying Yuan still carried that refreshing, comforting scent—like a glass of sparkling water, dissolving all the summer’s restlessness and thirst.
And she was the one who initiated it. Her initiative meant Yi Shanshan could indulge without restraint.
This mere shoulder touch was far from enough for Yi Shanshan.
It was like taking the first sip of an ice-cold drink you absolutely loved—could you really stop yourself from taking another?
“Yes, yes, yes!” Yi Shanshan insisted eagerly. “Of course this makes me feel good.”
“You know, I always need you so much in moments like this.”
Even as she spoke, her fingers were already creeping up, wrapping around Ying Yuan’s waist, pulling her body forward with a determined squeeze.
The triangular gap between them vanished as Yi Shanshan pressed tightly against Ying Yuan, her chest flush against Ying Yuan’s, her palms caressing Ying Yuan’s back. She was a soft, fragrant, warm, enveloping presence.
Ying Yuan stiffened slightly but offered no resistance.
Yi Shanshan’s confidence soared. She pressed even closer, leaning her full weight against Ying Yuan’s body.
Until every gap vanished, no air could squeeze between their bodies.
“Mmm…” Yi Shanshan sighed again.
It was the purr of a contented animal, betraying her peaceful, joyful state.
“Weren’t you asking me earlier? What I was thinking about…” Yi Shanshan’s cheek brushed against Ying Yuan’s skin, her breath ghosting across Ying Yuan’s ear.
Flames crackled fiercely in Ying Yuan’s heart. Her throat was too tight to form proper words; she could only hum a questioning syllable.
“Hm?”
Yi Shanshan’s body trembled slightly. She burrowed deeper into Ying Yuan’s embrace, paused for a moment, then answered, “Just thinking about right now.”
Ying Yuan’s heart fluttered wildly.
Yi Shanshan’s breath traced a path down Ying Yuan’s neck. “Ying Yuan~ I’ve missed you so much. Didn’t you miss me at all?”
Ying Yuan’s mouth opened, but she could only gasp for air, unable to speak.
Yi Shanshan seemed to need no reply. Being held in Ying Yuan’s arms was the perfect answer.
Summer was truly a wonderful season. Ying Yuan’s clothes were light and thin—a white, round-necked short-sleeved shirt that revealed a wide expanse of skin from her shoulders to her collarbone.
Yi Shanshan buried her face in the hollow of Ying Yuan’s shoulder, her favorite spot, pressing close and inhaling deeply.
Ying Yuan’s skin was cool and soft, like jade plucked from a mountain stream.
Yi Shanshan’s cheek couldn’t get enough of the sensation. Her hands, acting almost instinctively, crept from Ying Yuan’s back to her arm.
The long, smooth arm fit perfectly in her palm, inviting repeated strokes and caresses.
“Can I squeeze it a little?” Yi Shanshan’s voice, muffled against Ying Yuan’s body, sent every tremor through her.
What difference would it make whether Ying Yuan acquiesced to this small indulgence?
Ying Yuan felt a surge of heat rising within her, surging through her veins, seizing her chest, and threatening to burn her whole body crimson.
Ignoring the turmoil, she urged, “Hurry, you don’t have much time.”
It was unclear whether she was urging this intimate contact to end quickly, or urging Yi Shanshan to follow her desires completely, to push her into the furnace and let her melt away entirely.
“Hmm…” Yi Shanshan grumbled, dissatisfied.
She glanced up at Ying Yuan, and out of the corner of her eye, she saw a figure flit past the car window.
“Someone’s there,” Yi Shanshan said, her voice sounding much clearer and more rational. “We’ll be seen like this.”
Ying Yuan’s heart skipped a beat.
Yi Shanshan: “It’s not a big deal if we’re seen, but it could easily lead to misunderstandings.”
Ying Yuan tried to pull back, but Yi Shanshan didn’t budge. Instead, she leaned even closer, pressing against her. “Right, Ying Yuan, slide down a bit. Lie down, and they won’t be able to see us…”
Ying Yuan: “????”
Yi Shanshan had already collapsed heavily into her arms, pushing her downward.
Her body slid onto the seat, an inevitable force of physics.
The light dimmed abruptly, becoming hazy and dim. Her vision was filled only with Yi Shanshan’s face and her cascading long hair.
Yi Shanshan, finally aware of the time, stopped asking questions and delaying. With brutal efficiency, she pinned herself to Ying Yuan like a puppy, then… began to feverishly ravage the few patches of exposed skin.
Why does she crave my skin so much?
Why can’t she get enough rubbing and kneading?
Is she truly hungry? So many times, Ying Yuan had felt her teeth graze her skin, only to be pulled back at the last moment. Fingers would then twine around her, as if in compensation, kneading and squeezing the flesh with brutal intensity.
The fire of Ying Yuan’s desire could no longer be contained within her chest.
Heat surged from her breath, radiated through her pores, turning her skin flushed and feverish, coating her body in a thin sheen of sweat.
She felt suffocated, as if she were being stewed in hot broth, melting into a soft, shapeless mass.
“Ying Yuan, you’re getting so warm…” Yi Shanshan observed.
Like the most innocent of creatures, she couldn’t help but voice every change she noticed, every sensation she felt, as if speaking them aloud made them honest, pure, and naturally right.
“I love how cool and smooth your skin usually feels, so comfortable to touch. But I like you warm too—it’s so comforting, like being warmed by a fire, like pine logs burning in the fireplace…”
As Yi Shanshan spoke, a faint throbbing pulsed deep within Ying Yuan’s body.
Her head swam, yet her senses grew increasingly acute, pushing her to the very edge of what she could endure.
“I…”
Her voice came out hoarse, and Ying Yuan began to express her needs directly.
“It’s… so hot…
“Don’t press so close anymore.
“There’s… not enough air in the car. I need to… get out… to breathe.”
“Oh, oh,” Yi Shanshan jolted awake as if from a trance, quickly propping herself up with both hands to give Ying Yuan room to breathe.
Ying Yuan’s eyes were hazy, her cheeks flushed crimson. She slowly inhaled and exhaled, her lips parted slightly. Though she wore no makeup, her lips glowed with vibrant color.
Yi Shanshan had tugged her collar askew, and the last bit of her short sleeve had been pushed up, revealing the undulating muscles of her arm.
The sight momentarily stunned Yi Shanshan into silence.
A faint mist had begun to form on the car window Ying Yuan was leaning against, further intensifying the ambiguous atmosphere within the vehicle.
“You… I…” After a frantic whirl of thoughts, Yi Shanshan scrambled off Ying Yuan, straightening herself up first before reaching for the air conditioning controls. “I’ll turn the temperature down…”
“Careful not to catch a cold,” Ying Yuan cautioned.
“Ah, then I’ll open the window…”
“I’ll get up first,” Ying Yuan said.
Lying sprawled across the back seat wasn’t exactly comfortable for someone with long arms and legs.
Moreover, Yi Shanshan’s sudden weight had caught Ying Yuan off guard. Only now, as she tried to sit up, did she realize her legs and lower back had stiffened.
These small, unusual details caught Yi Shanshan’s eye, making her panic even more. She hurriedly explained to Ying Yuan, “I didn’t mean to… I wasn’t using you as a… a bed… I respect you so much, and I had your consent… I was just too excited earlier. It’s been so long since I last held you…”
Such a terrible line.
Yet despite its awkwardness, it made Ying Yuan’s cheeks flush. Still, hearing them made her feel strangely comforted.
Yi Shanshan was indeed keeping her promise: she truly saw her now.
She cared about her, feared upsetting her, was willing to endure for her sake, and would also frolic with unrestrained joy because of her.
“It’s okay,” Ying Yuan said, sitting up. She straightened her clothes and hair, then opened the car window.
The car was no longer a sealed space. Wind rushed in, sunlight streamed in, and everything felt utterly normal.
Ying Yuan sat quietly, regulating her breathing and heartbeat.
Yi Shanshan turned sideways to gaze at her, equally still and silent.
After a long moment, Yi Shanshan said, “You can get out now.”
Ying Yuan lowered her gaze, staring at an invisible point. “I want to stay with you longer.”
I want to stay with you longer. I miss you too.
I miss you far, far more than you miss me.
Yi Shanshan suddenly reached out and opened the car door.
Yi Shanshan stepped out of the car, leaving the comfortable air conditioning behind and plunging into the sweltering afternoon heat.
The wind lifted her long hair, and her skirt swayed gently. Sunlight dappled her skin, like twinkling stars.
Yi Shanshan stretched languidly, her eyes closed. “Ying Yuan,” she said, “it was stuffy in the car. It’s much nicer out here.”
“I have a little time left. Let’s bask in the sun together.”
So Ying Yuan got out of the car and joined Yi Shanshan.
They stood on the curb, looking like old friends, chatting about mundane things they’d repeated countless times before, exchanging familiar, relaxed smiles.
Cicadas buzzed in loud, fervent chorus.
The conscientious driver returned on schedule. Yi Shanshan got back into the car and waved goodbye to Ying Yuan.
Ying Yuan watched the car drive away, its form disappearing around the corner. She remained rooted to the spot for a long time, lost in thought.
This brief parting followed by an equally brief reunion felt like a stifling, hazy dream during an afternoon nap.
Ying Yuan would savor this dream for a long time. As she repeatedly replayed it in her mind, she realized that Yi Shanshan seemed to share the same sentiment.
After that day, whenever Yi Shanshan texted her, she would always say how much she missed her. Whenever she complained, she would insist on comparing their schedules to find even the smallest window for a meeting.
She told her, “It’s gotten hot so quickly, but I don’t mind the heat.”
She told her, “I bought the same shower gel as you. The scent is really lovely.”
She said, “Since we can’t meet in person, let’s video call. I want to see your face.”
She said, “Ying Yuan, your legs are so straight and long—they’re gorgeous. You should start wearing shorts now.”
The time apart hadn’t been that long, but being constantly reminded of someone from dawn till dusk made it feel like an eternity.
Ying Yuan had always been fiercely independent, capable of thriving in any environment. Now, she found the days without seeing Yi Shanshan truly unbearable.
Yi Shanshan was swamped. Teacher Han’s special training camp not only consumed her time but also opened up new opportunities. Her days were packed with endless tasks, leaving her only a few hours of free time each night to sleep.
The end-of-semester exam period had arrived and would soon be over. Ying Yuan had only one final exam left. Once it was done, she could go home for summer vacation.
The subject was difficult but crucial.
Mao Mao and Xiaohan crammed desperately, studying all day until nearly lights-out, but they remained utterly confused and lacked confidence.
They surrounded Ying Yuan, lamenting:
“Ying Yuan… Yuan… Why can’t we take three exams at once?! Answering three papers would be a breeze for you!”
“Why have I reviewed the key points three times already, and they still seem endless?”
“I really don’t want to fail this course. Just thinking about having to study this garbage again makes me feel utterly hopeless about life.”
Ying Yuan: “There’s still a little time left. Memorize the formulas you need to know now, and you can still pass tomorrow.”
Mao Mao: “There’s no time left! I regret going out for dinner tonight, I regret playing games all afternoon yesterday, I regret choosing this major—I can’t understand any of it no matter how hard I try!”
Ying Yuan: “Study in the hallway after lights-out. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”
Xiaohan: “!!! You’re ruthless.”
Ying Yuan: “Just wait and see. The students in the next dorm are definitely studying too. If they pass, you fail; if they fail, you pass.”
Xiaohan: “Aaaaah! I’d rather be worked to death! I can’t take it anymore!”
Mao Mao: “The hallway light is so dim, and there’s nowhere to sit. My old bones can’t handle this…”
Ying Yuan’s phone rang—it was Yi Shanshan calling.
“Just a sec,” she said quickly to her roommates. “I’ll take this call.”
Xiaohan and Mao Mao were used to it by now.
Ever since Ying Yuan and Yi Shanshan had been assigned to the same project team, their relationship had blossomed rapidly. Ying Yuan hadn’t kept it a secret from them, so they’d watched firsthand as she gained a wildly popular campus beauty as her best friend.
The two had become increasingly clingy lately, calling each other almost every night like those nauseatingly inseparable couples, as if they had endless things to say and nothing else mattered.
Xiaohan: “Your ‘just a sec’ calls never last just a sec… You won’t be back for at least half an hour…”
Mao Mao: “I was hoping you could explain this formula to me, Ying Yuan. Can you ask Shanshan if she can spare ten minutes for me?”
The call had already connected, and Yi Shanshan could hear the commotion.
She asked Ying Yuan what was going on, and Ying Yuan explained everything in detail.
These days, their conversations revolved around their daily lives—every detail, big or small, was fair game.
“Ah, you’re looking for a place to study, huh?” Yi Shanshan paused, then suddenly exclaimed, “Ying Yuan, you can bring everyone to my place!”
“Huh?” Ying Yuan blinked, surprised. She had always considered Yi Shanshan owning that apartment to be a highly private matter, something not to be shared with outsiders.
“I’ve got electricity, running water, a bed, a sofa, and a fridge full of food! Plus, it’s close by, so you won’t be late for your morning exams. It’s the perfect spot!” Yi Shanshan’s voice grew increasingly excited. “You guys can study there all night! Wouldn’t that be great?”
That’s true, Ying Yuan thought.
She glanced at Mao Mao and Xiaohan. Their eyes were wide, already sensing something good was about to happen, their faces brimming with anticipation.
“If it’s not too much trouble…” Ying Yuan said.
“Of course not!” Yi Shanshan suddenly lowered her voice, pressing close to the phone as if whispering in Ying Yuan’s ear. “I’m in the car now, already in the city. I’ll be there tonight too.”
Ying Yuan: “!”
Yi Shanshan: “You don’t need to bring much—just your pajamas. We’ll have a pajama party tonight~”
Ying Yuan: “!!!”
