My Straight Girlfriend with Skin Hunger Syndrome - Chapter 15
Chapter 15
Ying Yuan froze, utterly bewildered. What kind of logic is this?!
It sounded perfectly reasonable, as if Yi Shanshan were doing her utmost to consider Ying Yuan’s feelings. But the crux of the matter was this: Ying Yuan had never even contemplated initiating a hug with Yi Shanshan!
How could she? She was gay, after all.
Could she even entertain such thoughts? Could she, unlike Yi Shanshan, a straight girl, brazenly embrace a woman and rub her hands all over her body?
Absolutely not!
Even though her traditional Chinese medicine treatments hadn’t worked, she remained an upright, virtuous, and non-perverted young Chinese woman!
“No…” Ying Yuan’s mental state began to crumble. She stared at Yi Shanshan, who stood with innocent arms outstretched, and shook her head vehemently. “Absolutely not.”
“Huh?” Yi Shanshan was visibly taken aback, her eyes widening. “Why not? We already talked about this! Weren’t you happy about it?”
“I’m not happy about this.” When it came to matters of principle, Ying Yuan’s response sharpened. “I’m fine with things as they were before.”
“Ah…” Yi Shanshan understood, she understood again, she drawled, lowering her arms and stepping closer to Ying Yuan, a sly, fox-like expression on her face. “You only like to be passively taken.”
Ying Yuan: “……”
Yi Shanshan: “I never would have guessed, Ying Yuan. I always thought you, with your quiet, rational demeanor, were the ‘1’ type.”
Ying Yuan was nearly panicked, guilt-ridden. Hearing terms like “passive,” “active,” “0,” and “1” sent her into a panic.
She could only change the subject as quickly as possible, stiffening her neck and saying, “I don’t have much time. Let’s hurry.”
“Aiya, you’re rushing me~” Yi Shanshan’s voice dripped with coquettish sweetness, a mischievous joy blooming across her face. She wrapped her arms around Ying Yuan, rubbing her arms vigorously.
“I’m coming, I’m coming…” She teased, even as her body willingly melted into Ying Yuan’s embrace, letting out a soft sigh. “Mmm…”
Ying Yuan’s heart burned at the edges, bewitched by Yi Shanshan’s warm breath.
“So comfy~” Yi Shanshan lavished her highest praise on the oversized hug pillow.
Ying Yuan held her breath, steeling herself against Yi Shanshan’s fervent embrace. Growing increasingly sensitive to Yi Shanshan’s touch, she doubled down on cultivating her composure, determined to remain unmoved even when held in her arms.
The surrounding silence felt like drifting into an afternoon dream, broken only by Yi Shanshan’s shallow, rhythmic breaths.
“I still want us both to enjoy this~” Yi Shanshan burrowed her head against Ying Yuan’s chest, refusing to give up. “You could try it, anytime…”
Ying Yuan was in agony.
After a long while, Yi Shanshan showed no sign of letting go, but the quiet of the corridor was shattered by approaching footsteps.
The footsteps were followed by Lina’s hushed calls: “Ying Yuan—Ying Yuan~”
Ying Yuan immediately pushed Yi Shanshan away. “We’re done for today.”
Yi Shanshan frowned, her brow furrowing. “How heartless~”
Ying Yuan: “I’ll go out first. You stay here for a while, then leave after we’re gone.”
Yi Shanshan: “Feels like a secret lover situation—so thrilling~”
Ying Yuan had no time to deal with her. She turned to leave, but Yi Shanshan swiftly shoved a strawberry into her hand and tactfully retreated into the shadows.
Holding the strawberry in her left hand and her water cup in her right, Ying Yuan nearly collided with Lina the moment she stepped outside.
Lina jumped back, clutching her chest and gasping for breath. “Holy shit! You vanished the second I opened my eyes! I was on a major adventure searching for you, and suddenly you pop up out of nowhere!”
“I told you, I went to get water,” Ying Yuan replied.
Lina glanced at her empty water cup. “Where’s the water?”
“I… I was really thirsty after getting it, so I drank it,” Ying Yuan mumbled.
Lina’s gaze shifted to her other hand. “Where did you get those strawberries?”
“I… I ordered takeout while you were sleeping. They just arrived.”
“You’re splurging on such high-quality strawberries this season?!” Lina exclaimed.
“Just a… little indulgence… every now and then…” Ying Yuan stammered.
“Ying Yuan, why is your face so red?” Lina pressed.
Once a lie begins, it can’t be stopped. Tell enough lies, and one becomes shameless.
“Maybe I ate too many strawberries,” Ying Yuan replied, “and they stained my face.”
Lina burst into laughter, but she didn’t care about the real answer. In her heart, if Ying Yuan had met Yi Shanshan, she would definitely tell her, just like last time.
So this time, Lina was only curious about whether those sweet-looking strawberries were actually as sweet as they seemed.
Ying Yuan held out the box to her. “Sweet.”
The promise of a rendezvous every three days proved remarkably effective. With just ten minutes of blushing, Ying Yuan secured seventy-one hours of peace.
The next meeting was scheduled for Saturday. Yi Shanshan, who had a performance rehearsal, asked Ying Yuan the day before if she could come over early. Pleased with Yi Shanshan’s commitment to their agreement, Ying Yuan reciprocated, arriving at the rehearsal venue right on time and waiting a short while.
This encounter, too, was sweet and smooth. Yi Shanshan gifted Ying Yuan a yellow rose she’d pilfered from a flower basket at the venue.
Following this pattern, on Tuesday, Ying Yuan waited expectantly for Yi Shanshan’s message.
Oddly, no message came that morning, nor at noon.
Ying Yuan had even considered taking the initiative to ask Yi Shanshan if she had any plans for today.
After class that afternoon, Ying Yuan finally received a message from Yi Shanshan. It was a voice note, her tone bubbling with excitement and delight.
“Yuan~~~ Today’s going to be special! Around 8 or 9 tonight, I’ll come find you. Don’t worry about preparing anything~”
Ying Yuan: Where?
Yi Shanshan: You’ll find out when the time comes! Don’t worry, I’ll definitely find you~ Relax, I remember all our promises~~
Since she’d put it that way, Ying Yuan decided to maintain her trust in Yi Shanshan. Besides, her voice note sounded so genuinely adorable that it was hard to harbor any ill suspicions.
Ying Yuan returned to her dormitory to shower. Normally, she would have gone to the library that evening, but a last-minute announcement in the class group chat informed everyone of a dorm inspection by the Student Union, requiring all residents to be present.
The group chat erupted in groans and complaints, the students clearly displeased. Ying Yuan quickly sent Yi Shanshan a message to let her know she wouldn’t be at the library that night.
Yi Shanshan didn’t reply immediately, likely busy.
After a moment’s thought, Ying Yuan sent another message: Call me when you’re on your way.
At seven in the evening, Mao Mao and Xiaohan were tidying their desks and wardrobes, cursing under their breath. Finding nothing better to do, Ying Yuan managed to hide their dorm’s small electric cooker in a corner of the wardrobe.
“Always poking around! What’s the point? Last time, they said hanging a poster on the wall was dangerous because it might fall and hit someone on the head. Seriously, who talks like that? It’s just a poster! Even if it fell, it wouldn’t cut anyone’s scalp!”
“The Literature Department incident was even more ridiculous. They docked points from a class because someone had too many clothes, claiming it wasted space.”
“They’re just bullies with borrowed power! Get a little authority and suddenly they think they’re in charge. I absolutely despise those types!”
“I heard this time the Student Union sent someone to supervise the College Student Union. Tsk tsk tsk, those who crush others will inevitably be crushed themselves.”
“As long as they don’t deduct our points, I don’t care.”
Xiaohan turned to Ying Yuan and instructed, “Yuan’er, don’t say a word when they come. I’ll handle everything.”
Ying Yuan nodded, her mind elsewhere. She was still thinking about Yi Shanshan. The agreed-upon time was fast approaching, but Yi Shanshan hadn’t replied to her message. She was worried that Yi Shanshan’s arrival would coincide with the Student Union inspection, which could mean waiting indefinitely.
Another half-hour passed, and a commotion erupted in the hallway.
“They’re here! They’re here!” someone shouted. Xiaohan and Mao Mao tossed aside their things and finished their final tidying.
The two girls pulled Ying Yuan into a straight line, their expressions grave as they stood at attention, awaiting inspection.
A knock came at their dorm door. Mao Mao cleared her throat and called out, “Come in.”
The door swung open, but Ying Yuan remained glued to her phone, head bowed.
Mao Mao and Xiaohan let out a half-suppressed “Ah!” of surprise, then yanked violently on Ying Yuan’s arm as if something catastrophic had occurred.
Ying Yuan finally looked up and saw Yi Shanshan.
Dressed in her Student Union uniform, a red armband secured to her sleeve, a clipboard tucked under her arm, Yi Shanshan stood tall and poised, her makeup fresh and understated.
Well, these two events have finally collided.
Not just in time, but in personnel too.
Ying Yuan’s heart clenched.
Yi Shanshan’s gaze swept across the dorm room before settling coldly on the three figures lined up against the wall.
“Students, dorm inspection,” she announced, her tone flat, even icy—making her seem utterly unapproachable.
