‘How did it come to this…?’
As he let the hot shower pour down from above, Fujimura Kyousuke stood there in utter bewilderment.
Blood was flowing steadily from his right knee and didn’t seem likely to stop anytime soon.
Perhaps the reason he didn’t feel much pain despite the injury was because of the tension from standing in someone else’s bathroom.
Expensive-looking shampoo, body soap, facial cleanser, a T-shaped razor and so on… Surrounded by the tools of a woman’s beauty routine, he felt an odd mix of embarrassment and guilt, as though he were peeking behind the curtain of femininity.
“Fujimuraaa—!”
“Y-Yes!”
Suddenly, a voice called out from beyond the frosted glass and Kyousuke instinctively straightened up as stiffly as he ever had.
That voice echoed within the cramped bathroom, sending a tingle from his head to his toes.
“Wait, why are you using keigo?”
[honorific or polite language]
“Ah, no, I didn’t mean anything by it.”
“..Well, whatever. I’ll leave a towel here, okay?”
On the other side of the frosted glass, a graceful feminine silhouette shifted and swayed. Her sweet yet dignified voice soaked through the bathroom like the steam itself, only intensifying Kyousuke’s embarrassment.
“I’ll be waiting in the room.”
With a parting『Take your time』she exited the changing area—leaving behind words that were far too dangerous for his heart.
“Haaah…”
Breathing out deeply, Kyousuke poured more hot water over his head.
Why had he ended up in the room of her—the unreachable flower of the class—and on top of that, taking a bath?
Mixed in with the steam was a sweet, fresh pear scent that tickled his nose. The same scent as her hair. And with that, Kyousuke’s mind drifted back to the events from just a few hours earlier.
