Chapter 43: She Found Her

***

The impact of Sissa’s manifestation wasn’t as widespread as a demon invasion.

Although she could instantly kill anyone she faced, she was ultimately just one person. For the tens of thousands of elves, as long as she wasn’t coming for them specifically, they were safe.

So, after the complete collapse of the sealed area, which cost hundreds of elite warriors their lives, the elven organization could still maintain normal operations.

“Until the very last moment, Elder Trinia never retreated. She fought to the end, and every blade of grass and tree around recorded her dignity as an elf.”

After mourning their comrade, the few remaining elders sat down to begin this heavy-hearted meeting.

“Based on all known information, we can confirm the following facts.”

“First, Sissa is invincible. All her victories are one-hit kills, regardless of attack method. But at the same time, she only has 3 days.”

“Second, during these 3 days, she will search with all her might for a female elf who is 1,333 years old, originally named Sally, and kill her to complete the ritual.”

At this point, all the elders paused in unison.

They already had their suspicions. After all, as Trika had said, there were only a few dozen elves in the entire tribe around that age range. It was easy to think of people around them and come up with an answer.

“Third, if she doesn’t find the person in 3 days, she will fail, and then…”

“And then what~?”

The sudden voice interrupted everyone’s discussion. The bald elder had just raised his gaze when he jumped up in terror: “You! How are you here!”

The little girl giggled at them: “Because I run pretty fast~ I caught someone on the road and asked him where I could find the person I’m looking for. He told me that this place has the few people in all of the elven race who are most familiar with the tribe and have the most extensive knowledge, so I came~”

Of the 4 elders, except for the bald elder who jumped up, the others didn’t say a word, only cold sweat dripping from their foreheads.

They already knew what consequences today would bring, and were prepared for it.

“So I thought, you must know who the person I’m looking for is, and where she is.” Sissa’s small body climbed onto the table, her head rotating 180 degrees to look at a decent-looking male elf elder. “Do you know? Tell me quickly.”

The male elf elder swallowed and directly closed his eyes, his mouth sealed tight.

The next second, his head fell to the ground.

“Ah! I’ll tell, I’ll tell, I’ll tell!”

The bald elder who had jumped up first was scared out of his wits: “It’s Isadora! It must be her! She disappeared by herself a few days ago, she must have sensed something!”

“You!”

“Traitor!”

The other two glared at him angrily, but it was too late. Sissa grabbed him directly and walked outside.

“Tell me properly about how Isadora has been living all these years, and where she lives.”

When they got outside, the bald elder realized she hadn’t come alone. Several young and strong elves were standing outside. From their clothing decorations, they belonged to the mage corps, and like himself, they were all captured.

Another name for mages was plant speakers.

Isadora’s treehouse was quickly found. Under Sissa’s threats, several mages communicated with the plants near the treehouse, asking where the owner here had gone a few days ago.

“There were 5 people, each going in 5 different directions,” the mage said carefully. “Too much time has passed, they can’t preserve clear images.”

“So you hid a few days in advance, how cunning, Sally.”

The little girl’s face showed a cruel smile.

Just 5 people. Kill them all and be done with it.

……

Lambert hadn’t expected such a gloomy atmosphere at home, especially the bitter expressions on the children’s faces. Even he, a person whose heart had turned cold, couldn’t help but comfort them:

“Don’t be too pessimistic. There might be a way later. Look at what I’ve been through, the big sister I liked told me to my face that she never loved me, that it was just to have a child, and before that she had already been with dozens of male elves… wuwuwu.”

As he spoke, he couldn’t hold it together and started crying.

Aira sighed: “Your elven race really has poor fertility. No wonder after tens of thousands of years you still only have tens of thousands of people.”

If you had even half the reproductive ability of us humans… no, us demons, the Central Great Forest would have at least several million people. She didn’t believe Sissa could still figure out who was who.

“This is bad! Everyone, this is bad!”

Trika rushed in pulling Sylithea, who still had tears on her face.

“We just saw that Sissa has taken the council of elders hostage and captured several mages. She’s already tracked down to Elder Isadora’s home!”

Since the other party already knew, they naturally didn’t need to hide that name anymore.

Aira immediately turned to look out the window. The forest was glowing with dots of light, a symbol of nighttime.

A total of 3 days, and just on the evening of the first day, Sissa had already locked onto her target.

It’s worth mentioning that Sylithea didn’t bring back entirely bad news. Through the plants, she saw what happened at the elder’s treehouse. After one elder was killed, the bald elder was so scared he directly betrayed them. Sissa just took him and left, ignoring the remaining two.

In other words, as long as they didn’t interfere with her actions, it wasn’t that dangerous.

Aira gritted her teeth and slammed the table: “Tomorrow we’ll follow! Stay 1,000 meters behind!”

At this distance, her “Eyes of the Undead” could come in handy.

……

The first subordinate to be found and killed was the one who went to the northern border. He had originally been carefully avoiding the demons on the other side of the border, but when he turned around, he saw a little girl.

“Which child are you? What are you doing here? Go back quickly.”

Then his head fell to the ground.

Sissa’s speed far exceeded everyone’s expectations. Before Aira and the others could catch up, she had already reached the next location.

It was past noon, most of the second day had passed, and Sissa had already killed 3 people, yet they hadn’t been able to reach any scene.

“Forget it, forget it, you guys stop following.” Aira was out of breath and made new arrangements. “You youngsters go back first. We’ll take Dragon Eagles to pursue.”

Trika and the others didn’t want to give up, but were forcibly sent back due to being too weak. The annoying pink-haired girl said something about how if a fight broke out, they would only be a burden. What else was there to say? They could only return dejectedly to the gathering place for idlers.

As for the Hero Party, after mounting the Dragon Eagles, they immediately rushed to the final area.

Central Great Forest, the edge of the southeast.

It was already dark. Compared to the core area, the edge region had fewer luminescent plants and slightly lower visibility.

Isadora sat quietly on a large rock, waiting for those cheerful footsteps to approach from far to near.

“Found you, Sally.” The little girl’s neck stretched out, bringing her face close. “Why did you change your name? Were you afraid I’d come looking for you?”
