Miss Demon King, Please Endure a Little Longer - Volume 3 Chapter 27
Chapter 27: Still Laughing!
***
Like what?
Hugging each other naked and cuddling?
Aira hesitated for a moment, but still couldn’t help saying: “Miss Lia doesn’t use her hands.”
“That’s fine.” Zero answered instantly, “I don’t have to use them either.”
“You don’t use…”
You don’t use them, then what do you use? You don’t have a big rice cake either, what can small hills do, I really am…
Aira almost said it out loud, but fortunately realized it just in time and held back.
“Don’t use what?” Zero filled in the blanks herself, “Don’t need to be so polite?”
“No… I just wanted to say, no problem.”
Being polite is still okay to some extent.
In any case, Aira agreed to Zero’s request to cuddle naked together next time. Tomorrow she would let her come along, whether it was killing traitors or whatever else, they had formed an illegal party anyway.
“See you tomorrow~”
The girl left satisfied.
Aira didn’t know if she had really left, not daring to speak or move until drowsiness washed over her.
Zzzz
The next day, dawn broke, time to get up.
Sunlight filtered through the leaves of the canopy, making the forest bright, and the wind blowing through the trees came in through the window, making the room bright and very refreshing.
Aira sat up, staring out the window in a daze.
She was thinking about last night’s events, about the assassin girl climbing onto the bed and then climbing back down, coming hastily and leaving hastily, taking nothing with her, not even casually taking a pair of panties, just wanting to experience what it was like to be in the Saintess position.
Not wanting this, not wanting that, what exactly did Zero want?
Aira didn’t dare think further.
She splashed water on her face, pulled herself together, got up and set off. There were still many things to do today.
Isadora was already waiting outside the tree house. Seeing her come out, she waved and greeted:
“Over here, Miss Aira, please come with me.”
Zero didn’t show herself, but was probably already following nearby. In the shadowy forest, shadows were everywhere, and as long as she didn’t want to appear, no one could discover her.
On the other side, Celeste, Lia, and Vina gathered together, bringing the diplomatic mission and some other young elves to find Elder Trinia.
Not being allowed to participate in battle was one thing, but having to be watched by outsiders from the human race made Trika and the others feel extremely frustrated.
“Really don’t know what the elder is thinking, trusting a few outsiders instead. What kind of spell did you cast on her?”
Vina didn’t coddle them at all: “I can’t be bothered watching you, but you better behave and follow along. Anyone who doesn’t stay in line, I’ll report to your elder.”
The young elves were furious, but didn’t dare say much more, let alone leave the group.
What if she really did report them?
In the direction of the Sacred Spring seal, Aira was almost there. On the way, she couldn’t help but ask curiously: “Why me?”
Our Hero Party has 5 people total, all youthful and beautiful girls with special skills. Even among the big-breasted ones there are 2. How did she pick me at first sight?
Isadora looked back at her with confusion, as if not understanding why she would ask such a question.
“You’re the core of this team, and also the decision maker. That blue-haired little girl makes it very obvious.”
Obvious?
Of course it was obvious. Celeste, as the nominal leader, would step forward to greet people politely when meeting them, appearing graceful and composed. But whenever there was something to choose or answer, she would immediately look to Aira, either reading her expressions or following her lead.
If she ever wore a mask and closed her eyes, Aira really didn’t know what Celeste would do.
At this time Isadora said again: “Miss Aira, if it’s convenient, could you tell me how you came to know the name Iselis?”
Is this what she wanted to ask about when we were alone?
Aira didn’t answer immediately, instead asking back: “Is this what you called me alone for, something inconvenient to say in front of the others?”
“I’m not targeting you. It’s the same for my fellow tribespeople.” Isadora said, “Some things are better known by as few people as possible.”
This answer was essentially an admission.
With things said to this point, Aira decided to reveal some information to her: “We previously dealt with merfolk problems at the seaside. You know, the near-shore merfolk that once joined the Highborn Alliance were causing trouble again, planning to summon an Evil God through some evil ritual. That Evil God’s name was Iselis.”
Upon hearing the word “ritual,” Isadora’s expression clearly froze for a moment.
“Merfolk, I still remember them. Over 100 years ago we were still allies, but they lived far by the sea and rarely ventured inland. Only Dragon Eagle riders had seen them.”
After chatting a bit, she led Aira to the outskirts of the Sacred Spring seal.
“We’ve arrived.”
Some elven guards stood at the perimeter, surrounding the sealed area. They looked rather haggard and had cotton balls stuffed in their ears. Seeing the two approach, the outermost elven guard walked over, removed his cotton balls and said:
“Elder, same as last night. Apart from some sounds, there are no other changes to the seal.”
“Sounds?”
Aira curiously walked forward a few steps and indeed heard a burst of laughter.
【Hehehehehehehe.】
Such creepy laughter.
She quietly walked back and heard Isadora say: “Do you think she’s awake?”
“There’s some possibility, or maybe she’s having sweet dreams.” Aira kept her pretty little face composed, “It’s definitely power related to the Evil God Iselis.”
He also liked making strange sounds in people’s minds.
Isadora nodded: “I think this is a kind of omen, reminding us through changes in sound how much longer until she comes out.”
First it was laughter, later it might change to various words with clear meaning.
She turned to those elven guards and gave orders: “Have the other squad come for shift change. You go down and rest.”
To use the sounds to gather information meant hardship for the surrounding guards. There was no other good solution except rotating shifts frequently.
Aira stepped forward again. The plant patterns that had been in the barren field before now formed a big smiling face.
“Alright, looks like that’s what’s happening. Notify me immediately if anything happens.” She stepped back a few paces and looked up at the sky, “I have things to do, so I’ll leave first.”
She couldn’t tell anything from looking at the sky, just felt that 1 or 2 hours had already passed. Time was tight, she needed to get to business.
“Miss Aira!”
Isadora suddenly called out to her, her face showing none of the previous kindness, only a fierce determination.
“Please, the thing I’m entrusting to you, please. And no matter what, I won’t let her succeed.”
Suddenly expressing determination out of nowhere, but why are you telling me this?
Aira casually hummed in acknowledgment, turned and went to the Dragon Eagle nesting ground, found her own, and mounted its back to prepare for departure.
A pair of small hands wrapped around her waist from behind.
“Are we going to kill someone?” Zero pressed against her ear, her voice somewhat excited, “Don’t worry, I’m best at this. I can definitely help you.”
