"And there you have it, folks! Another chapter conquered...or at least, not completely butchered. Please forgive any egregious errors; I blame the coffee (or lack thereof).

“Why do you… always kiss me?” Yan Xianchuan mumbled softly, as if she was complaining, but also as if she didn’t think it was enough. Her eyes darted around, looking like she had taken advantage of someone and was embarrassed to say anything.

“You said I could kiss you whenever and wherever I wanted,” Lu Mingqiu said with a hint of surprise, deliberately asking back, “What, I can’t?”

She reached out and pinched the other person’s red, hot earlobe, “If you don’t like it, I can be more restrained.”

“Yes, yes, yes!” Yan Xianchuan said hastily, “Don’t change!”

Lu Mingqiu suddenly burst into laughter. She cupped her face and pressed her lips against the other person’s, she mumbled, “You’re really cute.”

“Why are you so easily embarrassed?”

“Isn’t it natural to be embarrassed in front of someone you like?” She said this without any shyness, she was quite confident.

“I’ve never been with anyone, I don’t know what to do,” Yan Xianchuan paused, she asked uncertainly, “Is being shy wrong? If it is, I can change.”

“No,” Lu Mingqiu pressed her forehead against hers, her heart softened, “It’s right.”

She pressed her lips against the other person’s again before saying, “Let’s go, let’s go eat. You must be starving. I asked the cafeteria to make some soup.”

Yan Xianchuan’s gaze lingered on her lips, she absentmindedly hummed and was pulled out of the room by the hand.

They hadn’t gone far when they ran into Wandou. The girl, who was like a bard, looked listless. When she saw the two of them, she managed to force a smile.

Lu Mingqiu said softly, “Get some rest.”

Wandou nodded, her gaze fell on their two retreating figures, then on their intertwined hands.

She suddenly remembered Gold Ring. When they left Walnut Town, Gold Ring had gossiped about the relationship between Yellow Canary and Polite Biscuit for a while. He insisted that the two of them were a couple. No one else would talk to him, only she chatted with him for a long time.

His guess had come true, unfortunately, he would never see it.

Wandou dragged her heavy feet to the last room at the end of the corridor. The room was empty. The black wooden frame at the back was divided into many compartments. Each compartment held a round or square box. They were side by side, forming a wall.

She went to the far right, where there were a few new wooden boxes.

The names of Gold Ring and the others were clearly written on them.

“According to the customs of my hometown, I should have brought you a bouquet of flowers. I didn’t bring any this time, I’ll make it up to you next time.”

She was a sentimental person. Every time she came here, she would silently cry for a while.

On the other side, Lu Mingqiu was telling the person next to her about the recent situation.

“This incident is almost over. Overall, I think the good outweighs the bad. The remnants of the rebels have fled. It has been confirmed that it was Azberto’s deputy who ordered the missile attack. He wasn’t by Azberto’s side when it happened, so he’s the most likely suspect.”

“It’s a little difficult to find his whereabouts, but the Federation has sent people to Kurtz to reclaim the Polov family’s forces and closely monitor the major towns that haven’t been attacked yet.”

“They’re using satellites to do facial recognition, but I don’t think it will be successful,” Lu Mingqiu said calmly, “He should have had plastic surgery, changed his face. Both irises and fingerprints can be replaced. Although DNA can’t, the officials can’t check everyone.”

“Fortunately, we don’t have to worry about the follow-up matters. The Federation will handle it themselves.”

Yan Xianchuan looked at her thoughtfully, she hesitated.

“What do you want to say? Don’t keep it bottled up,” Lu Mingqiu said.

Yan Xianchuan looked around, she leaned close to her and whispered, using a hushed voice, “I always feel like… the relationship between the Resistance and the Federation isn’t that bad.”

Not to mention, what terrorist organization would use the official rescue team to evacuate? Although others would also place people in various departments, but ask yourself, what spy or undercover agent isn’t careful, afraid of being exposed?

I’ve never seen anyone so bold. Admittedly, the scene was chaotic, everyone was busy, but they were surrounded by Federation people, the possibility of being exposed was also very high.

Besides, with Lu Mingqiu’s usual cautious personality, she wouldn’t have done such a risky move, walking a tightrope.

She didn’t seem like she was trying to win by taking risks, she seemed more like she was confident.

Lu Mingqiu suddenly chuckled, she also imitated her and whispered, “Do you want to guess?”

“Is there a reward for guessing correctly?” Yan Xianchuan’s eyes lit up.

“No,” Lu Mingqiu shook her head.

“Then let’s go eat quickly. I’m so hungry,” Yan Xianchuan gave up decisively, she didn’t have any intention of getting to the bottom of it.

“Aren’t you curious?” Lu Mingqiu asked.

“It’s okay,” Yan Xianchuan pulled her towards the cafeteria, “ It doesn’t matter to me. I just need to follow you.”

The two of them held hands, attracting a lot of attention.

“Don’t you have anything you want to do yourself?” Lu Mingqiu pinched her knuckles, “Your own hobbies, ideals, that kind of thing.”

“No,” Yan Xianchuan shook her head, as if she had asked a strange question, “I want to be with you!”

It’s normal for a person to have their own hobbies. But Lu Mingqiu didn’t say anything more, she had obviously accepted this explanation.

She suddenly asked this question just to learn a little more about Yan Xianchuan. After all, from the time she had given, this person had only been in this world for a short time before she got involved with her. She had lost her free will and was like an accessory by her side.

Did she have things she always wanted to do, but she was worried about her, so she didn’t do them?

Besides liking to go crazy and kill, Lu Mingqiu hadn’t seen her like anything else in particular.

When Yan Xianchuan was free, she would also watch movies and play games, like a normal young person would do. But she didn’t get addicted, she could stop whenever she wanted.

Lu Mingqiu couldn’t really tell whether she genuinely liked it, or if she was just playing around, passing the time, or if she was just trying to make herself look normal.

Especially the latter two, they didn’t conflict at all, they could be done together.

If you had to consider killing as a hobby, then there was no need to say anything special.

Yan Xianchuan was someone who didn’t lie. If she said she didn’t, then she really didn’t.

What a simple and refreshing person.

The cafeteria in Yuecheng was still the same, rows of small tables. In the afternoon, the cafeteria was empty.

Yan Xianchuan was first led to a table and made to sit down. Lu Mingqiu said, “Wait for me,” then she left and went to the window. She said a few words to the aunt inside, then she brought back a casserole. The clear soup had yam, wolfberry, and red dates floating on top, red and white, it was very beautiful.

The soup smelled good too, it had a sweet scent. Next to it was a bowl of rice, the long rice grains were soft, with a fragrant aroma.

“Here, eat,” Lu Mingqiu said, placing the plate in front of her, “I specially asked the cafeteria aunt to make it. She said it’s good for replenishing qi and blood. Try it.”

It seemed like Lu Mingqiu’s attitude towards her had changed rapidly since they had established a relationship.

Yan Xianchuan picked up a spoon, scooped up a spoonful of soup and swallowed it.

She wasn’t a slow person. A person’s change in attitude was obvious. Lu Mingqiu had been nice to her before, but there was a distance in her care, an inexplicable estrangement.

Although she was indeed being cared for, Lu Mingqiu had never let down her guard or her heart towards her. That care was more out of a desire to stabilize her emotions, it was more about using her.

Now it was different. The other person was so enthusiastic, it was like she had changed into a different person.

Yan Xianchuan’s views were very conservative. Strictly speaking, it wasn’t really conservative. She had no opinion on other people’s open relationships. But she had been influenced by her family environment. She had a pair of truly loving and perfect parents. She had grown up seeing them, so she felt that two people who loved each other were the most suitable.

She didn’t want to have any contact with other people. Before she died, she had a little psychological cleanliness. Although she could do simple things like shaking hands, she was actually very arrogant in her heart. She felt that these ordinary mortals were unworthy of touching her, she didn’t want to say a word to them, but she had to endure their stupidity.

After she died, there was another reason. She was disgusted by the dungeon, she didn’t even want to shake hands.

But love is indeed a strange thing. Before she realized she liked her, her body had already let down its guard.

She allowed Lu Mingqiu to hold her hand, to hold her arm, to pretend to be a couple, and she had no qualms about carrying her on her back. She had already let down her guard back then, she just hadn’t noticed.

Now they were a real couple.

Yan Xianchuan still felt very embarrassed. She could slice a person into two thousand pieces in public without changing her expression or heartbeat. But if she had to do something intimate, she would be a little scared.

This wasn’t to say that she was really just panicked and shy because of a kiss. It was actually more because of her own thoughts.

Even if Lu Mingqiu didn’t kiss her, just standing next to her, the scent she carried would enter her nostrils. Yan Xianchuan would start to think about things that were inappropriate. She had to use great willpower to divert her attention.

If she was kissed again, the other person’s soft lips, her warm breath, she would feel it all. Yan Xianchuan would be on fire, her mind would be filled with thoughts that were not appropriate to elaborate on.

Then she would start to blush, because thinking like that was too rude and disrespectful.

She was someone who didn’t understand romance. She was also very young. Her lover was right next to her, touching her. Who could resist?

When Lu Mingqiu kissed her neck and pinched her earlobe just now, she felt like she had been thrown into a volcano, her bones were melting from the heat.

Although she said this, Yan Xianchuan couldn’t help but despise herself. Why was she like a sex maniac, lusting randomly? But she didn’t know that she couldn’t be blamed entirely for this. Part of it was her body’s fault.

She didn’t consider herself an alpha, she even forgot every now and then that this was a society with six genders. But the alpha pheromones were affecting her, urging her to claim her lover. It was instinct.

Yan Xianchuan absentmindedly drank the soup. She suddenly came to her senses and realized that Lu Mingqiu was just looking at her.

“Have you had lunch yet?”

The latter nodded.

“Do you want some? It’s really good,” she tried to divert her attention.

Lu Mingqiu looked at her gently, “Really? Then I’ll try it.”

“I’ll get you a spoon,” Yan Xianchuan said, she was about to get up, but the person opposite her said she didn’t need to.

Then she watched in disbelief as Lu Mingqiu reached out and took her spoon, scooped up a spoonful of soup and put it in her mouth.

Yan Xianchuan: !!!

The ceramic spoon was clean and white. It went into her mouth, then came out clean. The soup inside was all gone.

She even saw the other person’s tongue lick it.

The other person handed her the spoon back, she showed a look of approval, “Um, it’s really good.”

Yan Xianchuan: !!!

“You, you used my spoon,” she stammered.

“What’s wrong?” Lu Mingqiu asked back, not realizing she had done anything unusual.

“No, nothing,” Yan Xianchuan immediately lowered her head and shoveled two mouthfuls of rice into her mouth. When she swallowed, she almost choked. She quickly scooped up some soup to drink.

She had just swallowed the rice when she looked at the spoon in her hand. Suddenly, the image of Lu Mingqiu drinking soup with it appeared in front of her eyes. She choked and burst into a fit of coughing.

Seeing this, Lu Mingqiu quickly came over and patted her back, again and again, “What are you in a hurry for? I’m not taking it from you. I won’t drink it, I’ll leave it all for you.”

“Why are you being so possessive?” she said softly, with a teasing tone.

Yan Xianchuan wanted to explain, but the words stopped at her lips.

Explain what? How to explain?

Should I say I’m not being possessive, it’s just that I was thinking about doing this and that with you, so I choked?

That would be too embarrassing to say. It’s better to be possessive!

Yan Xianchuan: Being human is so hard.

Lu Mingqiu was completely unaware of this.

Influenced by the social environment, Lu Mingqiu wasn’t like other omegas, whose thoughts were restricted. She was very open and bold.

You could tell from the time she accidentally slept with her.

She was someone who didn’t mind intimate contact, and she didn’t care about the opinions or stares of passersby. In fact, kissing in public wouldn’t attract any extra attention. Everyone was used to it, they didn’t think it was anything special.

The people at the base looked at them because of Lu Mingqiu’s special identity, not because their actions were eye-catching.

That was Yellow Canary, the most watched, the most down-to-earth leader. Many people had a crush on her, and many had confessed to her.

This society was like that. If you found each other attractive, you could develop a relationship, or you could simply pursue physical pleasure. The latter relationship wouldn’t affect their daily identities.

Too many people had expressed their affection for her. Even though she always had a plain face, it couldn’t hide the charm that emanated from her.

She had rejected them all.

It wasn’t that she had any old-fashioned ideas about being faithful to one person, dedicating herself to her future partner. It was simply for the sake of keeping her identity a secret.

She had a very open view of romance.

Even if Yan Xianchuan had directly said what was on her mind, she wouldn’t have thought anything of it. It was a normal thing.

It’s so common to invite someone you like to sleep with you.

Unfortunately, Yan Xianchuan had too many mental shackles. She hadn’t adapted to this era. Otherwise, if she had asked, the answer would definitely have been yes.

Kurtz City.

This large city, where the Polov family had been entrenched, finally ushered in a time of change.

Since Azberto declared rebellion, the residents of the city had been living in fear. They felt like they had already stepped into the gates of hell, they were close to death. But they never imagined that Azberto wouldn’t do anything out of line in Kurtz, except for clearing out all the people he considered to be low-class.

Some people wanted to leave, and no one stopped them. But more people didn’t dare to leave. There was a war going on outside, it was chaotic. It was easier to lose your life if you went out, it was better to stay here.

The Polov family’s ancient castle, a relic of the Jerialian Dynasty, finally became an empty house today.

Javier had no good intentions. He didn’t want to take care of his underage siblings, and he didn’t care about their lives.

So when they chose to leave, he didn’t stop them.

They didn’t have any family shares, but their monthly allowance wasn’t a small amount. It was enough for an ordinary family to live for hundreds of lifetimes. As long as they changed their identities, they could live however they wanted.

Javier woke up in the morning and played the violin in the manor for a long time. His thoughts gradually drifted to his sister.

Inola, the treasure he had discovered.

“Can I go to you? My dear sister.”

“No.”

“You’re so cold,” Javier said nonchalantly, “I’ll go to Nanjin City to find you.”

He put his violin case on his back, he didn’t bring anything, he just left the castle, he left Kurtz.

As he left on the airship, it was snowing lightly. He looked out the window, an airship passed by from afar, heading towards Kurtz, in the opposite direction of his departure.
