"And there you have it, folks! Another chapter conquered...or at least, not completely butchered. Please forgive any egregious errors; I blame the coffee (or lack thereof).

“Passengers, Grey Company is at your service. We are twenty minutes away from Evergreen City. We will be passing by the Glass Dome shortly. Passengers who are interested can open their curtains and enjoy the scenery below.”

The flight attendant spoke softly, her smile precise and controlled. Her deep blue uniform was impeccably tailored, the open collar and cinched waist subtly highlighting her figure.

Her short uniform revealed delicate, white legs. Her hands, clasped before her, displayed long, slender fingers. A few golden curls escaped her hat, framing deep-set emerald eyes, a high, straight nose, and a face untouched by artificial modification.

And such a rare, natural beauty was working as a flight attendant.

This was, of course, not surprising. This airship was a high-end VIP line dedicated to serving the wealthy, and everything had to be perfect.

A natural beauty was nothing special to the company. Moreover, the services she provided were far more than just announcing notifications.

Dr. Morian waved to her, glancing at her with the corner of his eye, and said, “Get me a glass of water, with a mint leaf.”

The flight attendant straightened up from her bent-over listening posture, her voice soft, “Yes, please wait a moment.”

The Glass Dome was a renowned landmark near Evergreen City. During the war, it served as a crucial pass, enduring countless explosions. Under the intense heat, the rocks cracked and softened, transforming what was once a mountaintop into a basin, now solidified into a stunning, glass-like hue.

The afternoon sun was scorching, and the doctor was indifferent to the scenery. He had just pulled down the curtains when the seat beneath him suddenly began to shake violently, like a small boat in a storm, swaying uncontrollably from side to side, as if it was about to throw him out.

With a bang, accompanied by the flash of a firearm, a fully armed man with a helmet and prosthetic weapons on both arms broke through the airship’s cover and jumped down from the hole.

The well-dressed passengers were instantly pale, screams and shouts rose one after another, the trolley carrying exquisite snacks was overturned, wine glasses shattered, and the dark red wine seeped into the hand-woven golden thread carpet.

“Relax, ladies and gentlemen.” The attacker raised a mechanical arm, pointing at the aisle, four or five gun barrels still smoking, his voice distorted, “We’re just here to pick up a guest.”

Another fully armed man jumped in, “Don’t waste time with words.”

He raised his arm, and a burst of bullets flew out, sending the cotton stuffing of the seat backs flying, “Shut up, all of you, whoever runs or shouts again, I’ll kill them!”

Several unlucky souls were hit, falling to the ground, flesh and limbs flying, blood splattering everywhere. The passengers were instantly terrified, trembling and crouching behind their seats, not daring to make a sound, afraid that they would be the next to die.

“You’re always so serious.” The first man to come down complained, grabbed Dr. Morian’s clothes, and a needle shot out from his fingertips, piercing his neck. Within two seconds, the doctor’s flailing arms and legs went limp.

The man who was complained to didn’t react, walked a few steps down the aisle, and kicked open the tightly closed metal door of the airship.

“Let’s go.”

The two men jumped out of the cabin one after the other. The passengers looked at each other, thinking they had escaped, but the next moment, a sharp, grating sound that made their teeth ache vibrated their eardrums.

With a bang, the dilapidated airship rolled over and plunged down, as if an invisible hand had grabbed its two ends, breaking it in half like a twig, and then casually threw it away.

People were thrown out like leaves.

When Yan Xianchuan regained consciousness, she was falling from the sky. She felt a sharp pain in her left waist and abdomen, and when she turned her head, she saw an irregularly shaped piece of iron stuck in it, blood flowing out as if it were a faucet.

She frowned, reached out and grabbed the exposed part of the iron sheet, pulled it out directly, then casually covered the wound with her hand, not worried about her freefall situation, even looking around to see who her neighbors were falling with her.

Some people had parachute-like things on their backs, falling slowly without panic, while others, like her, perhaps also had a fearless spirit, letting themselves fall straight down.

Yan Xianchuan selectively ignored their high-pitched screams and the twisted postures of their bodies as if they were caught in a vice.

Weightlessness was commonplace for her, and after countless trials in the game, Yan Xianchuan had long since lost her fear.

The sky is so blue, Yan Xianchuan thought.

The howling wind whipped through her loose hair, but before weariness could settle in again, Yan Xianchuan summoned a spark of energy. After all, this was the new world she had chosen for herself.

The brilliant, translucent rock formations around her shimmered with countless dazzling colors, resembling a giant piece of glass candy

Before any hint of the promised fantastical world could register, the pain of broken arms and legs overwhelmed her. Then came the hammer blow to her head, followed by the sensation of her brain being violently spun and roughly replaced, leaving her reeling and disoriented.

Her head was spinning, her ears were ringing, and her vision was black. Every part of her body ached. She couldn’t die, of course, compared to her neighbors who were smashed into a puddle, she could still breathe.

Yan Xianchuan coughed uncontrollably, spitting out a mouthful of blood, her vision like a burst of fireworks, colorful confetti fluttering down, covering her vision.

She lay there for less than a minute, dizzy and disoriented, when a voice suddenly came from her mind, first stuttering and intermittent, then gradually becoming fluent.

“You… please note… loss… damage… please rest assured, I have contacted the medical team for you, they will arrive in ten minutes, you will soon receive help, please hold on.”

The electronic voice speaking in her mind… Yan Xianchuan suddenly found it funny.

This definitely wasn’t the main god, considering the high-tech background of this world, it might be something like an AI.

Yan Xianchuan didn’t speak, she was waiting for the memory transfer, several minutes passed, except for the moans, near or far, carried by the wind, nothing else happened.

The surroundings were as quiet as a graveyard. To be precise, the only difference between here and a graveyard was the lack of a few standing tombstones.

After a while, an unspeakable understanding appeared in her mind – because the original body died prematurely, although the body was fused, the memories were scattered.

She died? It was just a small wound, a cut in the abdomen though?

Fortunately, she knew her identity and her name. A person who was ostracized by the whole family, this memory was optional.

Not long after, the sound of the airship hovering reached her, several people in white uniforms jumped down from it, carrying various medical instruments, and a folding stretcher.

They first treated the bleeding wound, made a simple assessment of her condition, and then, with extremely professional techniques, lifted her onto the stretcher without causing secondary damage.

“Miss Yan Xianchuan, please don’t worry, you are our VIP customer and have purchased the lifetime insurance of our Dongye Company. We will reimburse you for 80% of the medical expenses incurred this time.”

The man at the head had two neatly trimmed sideburns, his manners were impeccable, and he nodded to her with a smile.

The stretcher was smoothly lifted into the air, Yan Xianchuan turned her head and saw several half-dead people not far away.

The airship door slammed shut, about to leave. She asked in some confusion, “There are still injured people, aren’t you going to save them?”

The man with the sideburns smile unchanged, “They did not purchase our lifetime insurance package, they are not within our service scope.”

It seemed that this world was not as peaceful as she had imagined.

The medical staff took the blood bag and hung it on the IV stand next to her, saying softly, “Now we’re going to give you a blood transfusion. The blood we provide for you is supplied by healthy people with a citizen level of three or above, fully compatible with your blood type, please rest assured.”

As she spoke, she gently inserted the needle into the back of Yan Xianchuan’s hand.

Several other people surrounded her, some wiping blood, some scanning body damage, some formulating treatment plans, and they also introduced the medical equipment they used, what brand they were, and what awards the attending physician had won.

The whole process was gentle, considerate, and professional, perfectly in line with the slogan – providing the most intimate service to every VIP members.

Even to make it easier for customers to see this slogan accurately, the company directly printed it on the ceiling.

The medical team’s airship had priority right of way, could ignore flight regulations, and had no speed limit, as long as the red light was on, it could travel unimpeded in the city’s airspace.

As for those who were overtaken, or those who couldn’t dodge and had gotten hit, it was not within their consideration.

Yan Xianchuan was pushed into the emergency room, after a busy half-day, she was sent to the medical cabin for deep repair, and it was not until evening that she was taken out and placed in a high-class ward.

If she hadn’t been told it was a ward, just looking at the furnishings, Yan Xianchuan would have thought it was a top-notch hotel suite, not to mention a dedicated nurse to serve her, available at her beck and call.

It was dinner time, and the hospital provided easy-to-digest liquid food, but it was also exquisite and delicious, obviously made by a great chef.

The nurse wanted to pick up the spoon and feed her bite by bite, but Yan Xianchuan refused. She used her left arm, which was almost recovered, to chew and swallow slowly, finishing the meal.

The taste wasn’t bad.

As night fell, dazzling neon lights lit up the city, and a giant screen in the center played advertisements. A projected red whale swam among the buildings, leaping and diving, splashing a ripple of sparkling waves.

Pale purple and flowing gold light shone through the window, blurring the advertising voiceover, Yan Xianchuan felt an unprecedented calm.

In the safe city of the main god space, there stood a towering black tower. No matter from which direction or position you stood, you could clearly see it.

It was said that the top ten players in the entire escape game lived in that tower, where they could see the true form of the main god. Those who saw the main god could make a wish to it.

The rumors were not entirely true, but they were not entirely false either.

Yan Xianchuan walked along the road to the top floor, and sure enough, she saw others.

“Are you serious? You’re going to give up all this, you don’t want to be a god, you want to be an ordinary person, are you crazy!”

Yan Xianchuan didn’t even give him half a glance.

“People like us are no longer suitable for that peaceful life.”

“I’m different from you.” Yan Xianchuan kept walking, her voice steady, without any ups and downs.

The red-haired man who had spoken earlier glared at her, “..You!”

Yan Xianchuan’s expression was cold, she pressed her hand against the door, and in an instant, black light ran along the lines, like a stream of snakes, the door silently slid open to both sides, inside was pitch black, like a beast opening its giant mouth.

Yan Xianchuan stepped in directly, and the next moment, her figure was swallowed by the darkness.

There was no top or bottom, no direction, time froze, she took a step, as if she experienced both birth and death at the same time, then turned from ashes back to her original form.

A ball of white light was the only color here.

It seemed to be in front of her, and it seemed to be under her feet, Yan Xianchuan couldn’t tell if she was going forward or backward, or rolling, crawling, as if a million years had passed, and as if only a moment had passed, she stood in front of the ball of light.

“Welcome, Polite Biscuit.”

The voice was empty and vast, a mixture of baby and girl, boy and old woman, cries and laughter mixed together, but when you listened carefully, it was just plain electronic sound.

This was the main god, and what she saw was not its true form, what she heard was not its true voice, all this was from Yan Xianchuan’s imagination.

Yan Xianchuan paused, her expression suddenly helpless, “You know my name.”

——If she could have known, knowing that this wierd name would accompany her for life, she would definitely not have registered it casually.

But who would have thought that the escape game was actually real.

“Polite Biscuit, I understand your intentions. You can choose a parallel world counterpart in the following worlds.”

Hundreds of balls of light suddenly appeared, inside were a girl practicing swordsmanship, a boy lying on the grass, an eagle soaring in the sky, a blue-skinned creature…

“Is there anyone who is about to die?” Yan Xianchuan said.

The balls of light contracted, becoming dozens, Yan Xianchuan looked at them one by one, and chose one sitting in an airship. It looked like a high-tech society, life should be very convenient.

“You can only choose one ability to take with you from all your abilities. And your body will merge with her body, your physical fitness can only reach the highest value of individuals in the current world.”

A screen unfolded in front of her, listing hundreds of passive skills and dozens of active skills, most of them were S-level and A-level.

Yan Xianchuan flipped through it, suddenly saw a D-level, this was something she had obtained early on, it could be said to be a great contributor, later she abandoned it and upgraded many low-level skills, but she didn’t touch it.

“This one.” Anyway, she wasn’t going to rule the world.

“Your choice is – Sweet Tooth…”

【As a lover of sweets, you can naturally take out your favorite desserts anytime and anywhere. After use, you will get a dessert, the type is uncertain, cooldown time is half an hour.】

Yan Xianchuan closed her eyes, countless voices overlapped, imprinted in the depths of her soul.

“Looking forward to your return.”
