Chapter 30: Who Are You Looking For?
***
“Huh?” Tang Xiaorou hadn’t expected to fall asleep herself.
What was even more unexpected was that she had climbed onto the bed and was hugging Yu Chuyao while sleeping!
Of course, if given another chance, she would still let her body act this way.
Although she had only laid down on the bed while fully clothed, without lifting the blanket to slip under the covers with Yu Chuyao, the school’s shared blanket wasn’t very big to begin with, and with her curled up like this, it was more like a body pillow.
“So… can you let go of me now?” Yu Chuyao glared at her angrily.
Weren’t you supposed to just watch over me? How did you end up climbing up here and getting handsy!
If she hadn’t woken up early, you would have gotten away with it!
“Oh, oh, it’s time to eat.” Tang Xiaorou finally released her grip and got off the bed, stretching.
The nearly 2 hours of sleep could count as a nap. After all, her body’s biological clock was used to sleeping for 1.5 hours after lunch.
This time it just happened earlier.
Yu Chuyao was on her period, but she wasn’t completely without appetite. It was quite necessary to replenish her body with food, otherwise being hungry and tired might lead to fainting again at some point.
“Want to go back to the classroom?” Tang Xiaorou tidied up, throwing away the things they had used. “Or should I bring food here, and you can rest more after eating?”
Yu Chuyao considered for a moment. Her body was feeling better now, and after sleeping for 2 hours, she no longer felt that drowsy feeling. Plus, there would still be over an hour for lunch break after eating, so she probably wouldn’t end up sleeping during afternoon classes.
“Let’s go back, we still need to attend afternoon classes.”
Tang Xiaorou nodded: “Then I’ll go buy food first. Keep track of time, and I’ll find you in the classroom later.”
Although Tang Xiaorou was quick at buying food, it still took 3-5 minutes to walk from the teaching building to the cafeteria, nearly 10 minutes round trip. Some time had already passed, and if she didn’t hurry now, by the time she got back to the classroom with the food, people would already be returning.
After Tang Xiaorou left, Yu Chuyao had no intention of continuing to lie down. Sitting up, she lifted the blanket to check the sanitary pad between her legs.
To be honest, wearing this thing down there gave quite a sense of security, and due to the different body structures between males and females, there was no bulge or feeling of compression when wearing it.
Yu Chuyao took the new set of school uniform and opened it, putting on the pants.
The size was still loose, and her originally smooth and round legs, which showed no signs of injury, disappeared into the pant legs. When Yu Chuyao stood up again, she had returned to that plain and ordinary appearance.
After adjusting every edge and corner of her clothes, making sure there were no wrinkles or exposure, Yu Chuyao finally walked out of the infirmary.
The teaching building wasn’t completely silent during meal times, as the school broadcast usually played music at this time. Whether it was some agreement reached by this school or what, they actually liked playing Jay Chou’s “Rice Field” just like her previous high school.
There were also some students in the corridor who preferred doing other things instead of eating lunch.
However, today Yu Chuyao felt something was different, strange, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on why.
She scratched her head, unable to figure it out, but as long as it didn’t affect her, it was fine.
The classroom was empty, and Yu Chuyao naturally walked back to her seat, plopping down and leaning against the corner wall, letting out a comfortable long sigh.
“Ah~” After all, sitting in the classroom seat felt the most reassuring.
Had she been hooked by high school life again? She actually felt uneasy when not in class.
She casually flipped through the things on her desk, then glanced at the desks of surrounding classmates, checking if there were any new test papers handed out during these two classes.
However, at this moment, from the corner of her eye, she noticed someone seemingly peering at something through the classroom window.
Yu Chuyao instinctively turned to look, and unexpectedly met their gaze directly.
“Who?” The people in school were nothing more than teachers and students, at most some parents at this hour, so she wasn’t particularly guarded, thinking it might be some classmate’s friend coming to find them.
As for whether they might be looking for her… well, she didn’t know, as up until now she could only name a few people like Tang Xiaorou, Su Yingying, and Jiang Xinxin.
Having been discovered by Yu Chuyao, the person outside the classroom decided not to hide anymore. A male student holding a basketball and school uniform, wearing sports clothes and sneakers, stood at the back door of the classroom.
Now Yu Chuyao felt a bit scared. This person looked to be about 180cm tall… she was like a little chick in comparison, if he had ill intentions, she probably wouldn’t even have a chance to resist…
“Hello, who are you looking for?”
Surprisingly, when Yu Chuyao asked this, the other person became embarrassed instead, rubbing his nose and turning his head away, as if unable to meet Yu Chuyao’s gaze.
What’s going on? Why are you acting all shy like a young lady?
Yu Chuyao didn’t understand, she wasn’t clear about what the other person was doing. Getting shy before even saying a word, what was there to be shy about with a nobody like her?
It would be good enough not to ignore her.
Wait… shy?
Now Yu Chuyao realized what the issue was. She touched her forehead and remembered that when lying in the infirmary with Tang Xiaorou, she had already taken off that fake hairband.
Which meant she had been walking around like this the whole way…
“Hello, can I get to know you? I’m XXX from Class X…” The male student slowly moved a few steps closer to Yu Chuyao, unexpectedly very polite in his greeting.
But Yu Chuyao’s heart was in chaos at this moment, frantically searching her pockets for the forgotten fake hairband. When she found it in her inner clothes, she couldn’t wait to clamp it back on her forehead.
Quickly putting it on, then shrinking back.
“Don’t want to know don’t want to know…” She certainly knew what the other person had in mind, but she wasn’t willing.
Seeing Yu Chuyao’s resistance, even deliberately starting to act unattractive, the male student felt somewhat disappointed but still wanted to try.
Just as he was about to take another couple of steps forward, a hand gripped his shoulder from behind. Turning around, the girl standing behind him, though not as tall as him, had an expression and aura that suggested she wasn’t someone to mess with.
“Hello student, this isn’t your class, is it?” Tang Xiaorou hadn’t expected that in just the few minutes she was gone, another problem would arise. “Should I go tell the teacher about your desire to date?”
If nothing else, Tang Xiaorou was quick at handling situations, immediately coming up with a way to ward off unwanted attention.
And it seemed quite effective.
