Chapter 63: Apology, Must Apologize

***

“Scolding them?”

The Empress’s voice carried a sense of oppression within its coolness. She casually glanced at the few people present, and none of them dared to meet her gaze.

Chancelianne also noticed that there weren’t many familiar faces among those present, and even those who were familiar were only so because their fathers had some connection to the Imperial Royal Family.

Chancelianne herself didn’t know any of them personally.

“Yes, Your Majesty. This matter has received high attention from everyone in the academy, even His Holiness the Pope himself has personally inquired about it. As the principal, I naturally must take the lead.”

“This time it’s also due to my poor management as principal…”

Listening to the principal’s fawning words, Eve felt her ears twitch.

She remembered the last time she came, the principal was also this fawning… no, today’s fawning seemed to have increased several degrees.

Perhaps it was because they were facing the Empress.

“Enough, I know you’re innocent. I will only hold the perpetrators accountable for this matter. But if there’s a next time…”

“Please rest assured! There absolutely won’t be a next time. As punishment, the mastermind of this incident is a student called Zhang Bo, and the others were all misled by this student onto the wrong path.”

“The academy’s decided punishment is: everyone receives a public criticism to be recorded in their files. Additionally, the mastermind Zhang Bo will be expelled from the Church Academy and never be readmitted.”

Eve listened silently. The so-called Zhang Bo was the dragon-pride protagonist. He had some emotional intelligence and some ability but no background, usually relying on forming cliques, and now that things had blown up, he naturally had to be pushed out to take the blame.

Who told him not to have good parents?

Listening to the principal’s handling method, Chancelianne’s stern face showed no particular expression.

Obviously, she wasn’t particularly satisfied with this decision.

The principal, being the principal after all, immediately noticed the change in the Empress’s expression and quickly added.

“Also, apologies are certainly necessary. All participants will have their graduation delayed and all their honors and scholarships revoked.”

“The previous issue of Leah’s scholarship not being implemented due to misunderstanding has also been resolved. A total of 3 gold coins are all here.”

Hearing the principal’s words, Chancelianne finally showed a slightly softened expression.

Her cold and beautiful gaze swept over those injured students, and even she couldn’t help but feel somewhat amazed.

Looking again at the timid-looking young girl hiding behind Eve.

That gentle and weak appearance really didn’t look like someone who could fight so many people at once.

These children were physically much stronger than Leah, and they were basically all boys, and there were many of them…

It was obvious who should have had the upper hand.

But the fact was… Leah had beaten all of them up, and those with black eyes and swollen faces were the ones who ran away quickly. Those who couldn’t escape in time basically had their arms and legs broken.

But they deserved it. So many boys bullying a gentle and weak girl, they had no shame.

Most importantly, they didn’t even win. How embarrassing! Really bringing shame to the Church Academy and the Empire!

But if you really investigate, you can’t say these boys were weak, you can only say Leah was too strong. After all, those who could enter the Church Academy, even with connections, had to meet the basic requirements.

So the children who could enter the Church Academy for advanced studies basically had magic levels that could surpass 90% of ordinary people in the entire empire.

They could all be considered outstanding in terms of ability, but obviously, Leah was stronger.

This was also one of the reasons why Chancelianne was willing to stand up for Leah, not just because she was Eve’s daughter, but more because she saw potential in Leah.

“An apology is appropriate, but the young lady has also suffered quite a shock. Shouldn’t there be some compensation for mental damages?”

Chancelianne’s words left the principal stunned.

She looked at Leah in her elegant clothes, then at those wealthy children covered in injuries and wounds.

Who exactly suffered the shock…

But since the Empress had made her intentions clear, they had to comply whether they wanted to or not.

“Yes, that makes sense. The Empress is indeed thoughtful, my thinking still can’t compare to yours, Your Majesty.”

“Compensate! We must compensate! I’ll make the decision, one gold coin compensation per person. Plus a sincere apology…”

“Your Majesty, they’re all children, and they’re also academy students. There will be opportunities for cooperation in various fields of the empire in the future, don’t make it too harsh.”

There were at least a dozen people who had bullied Leah, and in the blink of an eye, that meant over a dozen gold coins in compensation.

Leah stood to the side blinking her eyes as she listened, her eyes full of surprise.

How could you make money from beating people up?
