Chapter 74: Mirror World 7

This is too much trouble, Zhou Zhou thought of the countless love interests he had in the game before when confessing love and dating. If he had to consider so many issues before every confession, his head would probably explode.

Zhou Zhou’s face wrinkled up. If this was the outside world, and every person who wanted to date had to follow these rules, did he have to follow local customs too?

After thinking for a while, Zhou Zhou still felt it was wrong. He raised his head and asked in a low voice, “Al, have you ever been in love? Did you consider all these things before dating?”

Alvia: “…I have very strict requirements in this regard, and if I’m not fully prepared, I won’t casually let others participate in my life.”

He spoke euphemistically, but Zhou Zhou understood: “You’ve never dated?!”

He sized up Alvia from top to bottom. No matter which aspect, Alvia was exceptional, yet he had never dated before. “Wow.”

Zhou Zhou’s tone was full of astonishment, and the way he looked at Alvia was very inappropriate, implying that since Alvia hadn’t even dated before, he had no right to lecture him.

Alvia naturally understood his intentions. In previous years when the empire was in turmoil, he naturally had no time for romance. Moreover, the responsibilities and pressures his partner would have to bear would be even greater, so he couldn’t be careless.

“In any case, dating two or more people at the same time is not illegal, but from a moral perspective, it’s not very good. I suggest you break up with those two as soon as possible, carefully consider your choice, and then make a decision, especially since you’re still young, you can focus on your career first.”

Alvia spoke very seriously, clearly showing his own thoughts. But Zhou Zhou was not very happy. If he didn’t date, he would be alone, and he didn’t want to be alone!

Let him develop his career? He was currently in a game and didn’t even know where his future lay. Perhaps the next second he would be discovered as an outsider and disappear from this world.

Al knew nothing! Thinking of this, Zhou Zhou felt annoyed and picked up a small wildflower from the ground, throwing it at Alvia. The soft wildflower hit Alvia’s body and then slid off his clothes onto the ground.

“Then what career do you think I can develop?” Zhou Zhou asked angrily.

Originally he thought Al would say a bunch of nonsense again, but this time he didn’t say anything, and when Zhou Zhou looked over, he saw Alvia frowning in thought.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t consider it thoroughly enough.” Alvia felt that what he said was a bit presumptuous since Zhou Zhou’s current situation was indeed not very suitable.

Zhou Zhou observed Alvia carefully and found that his apology seemed sincere, so he said, “Okay, I forgive you.”

Alvia watched as Zhou Zhou, who was still angry just a moment ago, was no longer angry after he apologized. Feeling a little embarrassed for throwing flowers at him earlier, Zhou Zhou picked a few more wildflowers from the ground and handed them to him: “For you.”

A few white and yellow wildflowers, with a deep blue one in the center. The small bouquet looked very cheap. Alvia frowned and stared at the little bunch of flowers for a long time before slowly reaching out to take them.

This was the first time someone had given him flowers, even though they were just casually picked from the roadside. After taking the flowers, Alvia’s expression became a little solemn. He raised his head and said to Zhou Zhou: “You…”

He had only said one word when he suddenly looked sharply in a certain direction: “Come out!”

Zhou Zhou followed his gaze. Not far from where they were, there was a dense forest, and he could vaguely see a few people behind the trees.

The people hiding behind the trees came out, and it turned out to be the other players from the same vehicle as them, all five of them.

“Are you two the players who were sitting in the back?” the male player who was in the front passenger seat asked.

Zhou Zhou nodded, but found that they were standing far away, not approaching, as if they were very wary of them.

“Are you really players?” another person asked.

Alvia saw their cautious and wary looks and said, “Yes.”

The five people looked at each other, then asked them, “Can you say your own names? We want to verify. If you are really players, we will also tell you our names afterwards.”

“Al.”

“Zhou Zhou.”

Alvia already knew the method these five players were using to test them. Sure enough, the key phrase was “not so-and-so.” As long as they said the right name, the imposters would disappear.

Zhou Zhou and Alvia were real, so they naturally had no reaction to the key phrase.

The five players seemed to let their guard down and told them their own names.

Zhou Zhou seemed to understand. He had said to the teacher, “You are not Al,” so that’s why the teacher shattered?

If he had known earlier, he wouldn’t have spoken. He hadn’t even learned what the teacher was going to teach him yet. Zhou Zhou sighed, feeling very regretful. At that time, the teacher hadn’t finished speaking, and it seemed that besides kissing, there were other things as well.

However… he turned to look at Alvia, not knowing if Alvia knew, or if he could teach him.

Probably not, right? After all, he was a person who had been in many relationships but didn’t know, and Al had never even dated once. Maybe in the future when he did date, he would have a lot of questions to ask him.

Alvia stared at these five people. Earlier, these people had all appeared out of nowhere, and he had found traces of a player falling from the top of the mountain. That player was most likely eliminated, so all five appeared here together, and it was possible that some of them were impostors, or… maybe all of them were.

Although Alvia cooperated by saying the key phrase according to their names, and none of these five people disappeared, they had almost no interaction with these people before that, so even if they made up a name, there was no way to determine true or false.

However, Alvia did not expose them, but communicated with them very calmly, listening to them recount their previous experiences.

These five people had previously encountered impostors who looked exactly like their companions. One of them accidentally said the key phrase when he noticed something was off, which made the imposter disappear. Afterwards, when he met other players, he used the same method to identify his companions.

“Great, now all the players have gathered, so it will be easier to find clues.”

“Where should we go to find clues now?” Alvia asked.

In a group, there must be a leader. They were five people, while Alvia and Zhou Zhou were only two. It was normal to follow the larger group, and Alvia also wanted to find some clues from their words.

“Why don’t we go to the top of the mountain?” the male player suggested.

Before anyone else could agree, Alvia immediately said, “I just came down from the top, there’s nothing up there.”

The people opposite were taken aback, then hesitantly said, “Then let’s go down the mountain and see?”

Alvia: “I’ve been there too.”

Zhou Zhou watched the very “active” Al, not saying anything, just standing beside him to express his stance. However, after standing for a while, he saw the wildflowers nearby again, so he quietly left to pick wildflowers, leaving the stage to Al.

The players opposite were dissatisfied: “Then where do you suggest we go?”

Alvia shook his head: “Anywhere, it’s up to you.”

The five players: “……”

The male player who spoke first had a slightly displeased expression, possibly feeling that Alvia was intentionally picking a fight.

One of the female players with a ponytail tried to smooth things over: “Why don’t we start from here and look around the area first?”

The other players surprisingly looked at Alvia first, as if wanting to know what else he could say.

Alvia nodded, his expression calm, but his words were quite annoying: “Anything is fine.”

Zhou Zhou picked up another bunch of wildflowers and arranged them into a bouquet according to color and height. Looking at the flowers in his hand and then at the five people opposite, he seemed to be considering who to give the bouquet to.

The group was about to start searching from the forest. Zhou Zhou gradually approached one of the female players, preparing to give her the flowers. This was the girl who had greeted him after they got on the vehicle earlier. He would pick more flowers for the other female player later.

However, just as he was about to call out to her, he suddenly kicked something on the ground and stumbled forward.

Zhou Zhou: “!!!”

Just as he was about to fall, Alvia beside him grabbed him.

Zhou Zhou breathed a sigh of relief and quickly stood up, but…

Looking at his now empty hands and the scattered flowers on the ground, Zhou Zhou blinked, seeming unable to give the flowers now.

However, Zhou Zhou did not insist and soon forgot about it, joining everyone else in searching for clues.

After failing to find anything in the surrounding area, these players suggested going to the top or bottom of the mountain instead, since Alvia might have missed something when searching alone earlier.

Seeing their earnest words, Alvia suddenly asked, “Why don’t we go to the mountain road where the accident happened and take a look?”

Actually, he had checked there before, but the mountain road looked like nothing had happened, and he couldn’t find any trace at all. However, these people kept insisting on going up or down the mountain, and not a single person mentioned finding the driver or the vehicle, or the location where the incident occurred, so maybe the clues they were looking for would be in those places.

This was Alvia’s deduction based on their attitudes.

Sure enough, when he made his suggestion, these people stiffened for a moment, although it was very brief, Alvia still caught it. The five people’s stiff movements and expressions were exactly the same, proving that they all had issues.

“Okay, since Al suggested it, let’s go take a look.”

His suggestion was quickly agreed to by the others, and their current location was very close to where the driver had caught the sheep and the vehicle had left the mountain road.

The seven people in the forest started walking out, with Alvia keeping close to Zhou Zhou. The other people gradually slowed their pace, and eventually, all five of them fell behind.

Alvia focused his spiritual power on these people behind them, waiting. If these impostors were going to attack them during this time to try and eliminate or stop them from going to the location, it would prove that the place he just mentioned was indeed where the clues they were looking for were located.

Sure enough, just as they were about to exit the forest, the people behind them launched an attack.

Two of the female players picked up wooden sticks from the ground, while the three male players directly attacked them, trying to eliminate them with their numerical advantage.

These people were, of course, no match for Alvia. As one of their fists approached him, he suddenly turned and grabbed the person’s arm, then twisted it.

“Crash!”

The sound of shattering glass rang out. This imposter’s arm was directly twisted off by Alvia. From the severed arm, one could see that the inside was hollow, filled with mirrors, just like the previous impostors.

Alvia casually tossed the arm aside, and the mirror-made arm immediately shattered into pieces on the ground.

These “people” were very fragile, their bodies made of delicate mirrors. Alvia’s light punches could easily smash them to pieces.

However, even if these “people” lost arms or legs, they would not die, and they kept trying to attack them.

One of the female players had a large hole in her stomach, and one arm had also been kicked to pieces. But she still smiled eerily, using her other hand to hold the wooden stick, taking one step at a time towards Alvia and Zhou Zhou.

When Alvia kicked both her legs into pieces, the one-armed female player was still trying her best to crawl towards them.

These “people” seemed to have no sense of pain. No matter which part of their body was injured, the eerie smiles on their faces never disappeared.

The five “people” kept harassing them until Alvia turned them all into shattered pieces.

Zhou Zhou was not at all panicked. He had also noticed the abnormalities of these “people”, but since Al was being so “active”, he guessed that Al might be planning something, so he didn’t expose them.

The ground was littered with shattered mirror pieces, not a single one intact. Alvia observed for a while, confirming that these “people” would no longer move like before, before turning to Zhou Zhou and saying, “Let’s go.”

Zhou Zhou: “To the place where we had the accident?”

Alvia nodded: “Since these people don’t want us to go there, it means there must be something wrong with that place.”

The two of them walked out of the forest together. Zhou Zhou looked around and back, not knowing if the teacher had really been shattered by his words, or had taken on someone else’s appearance.

Just as Zhou Zhou was looking back, the scattered pieces on the ground slowly began to tremble, as if something was summoning them.

In an instant, these pieces suddenly flew up and gathered towards a certain direction, with different pieces flying to different places.

Finally, these pieces re-condensed into five people.

They were the same five imposter players that Alvia had just turned into shattered pieces.

Zhou Zhou’s eyes widened as he watched the scene behind them unfold like magic, while Alvia also sensed the anomaly and turned to look.

Seeing the five people standing unharmed behind them, Alvia frowned slightly.

Did these people keep reviving? But the imposter Zhou Zhou he had encountered before had turned into pieces and never moved again after that.

It seemed that the impostors they defeated themselves would continue to exist, reviving even after turning into pieces. Only by saying the key phrase could they be “killed” for good.

Earlier, these people had intentionally said their own names to let them test it out, but the names they said were most likely not their real names, so saying them would have no effect.

Now they didn’t know the players’ real names, so even if they defeated these impostors, they would just keep reviving.

They couldn’t waste time here battling endlessly.

“Zhou Zhou.” Alvia looked at the person beside him.

“Hmm?” Zhou Zhou was still staring at the five people behind them when he heard Alvia call his name, and he turned his head back.

“Run.”

Alvia grabbed Zhou Zhou’s sleeve and took off running with him.

Zhou Zhou quickly grabbed Alvia’s hand back, holding it tightly.

Behind them, the five imposter players saw the two of them trying to escape and immediately gave chase.
