This task label seemed familiar, as if Ye Wushuang had seen it not long ago. She suddenly raised her head and carefully observed the young girl in front of her. The more she looked, the more familiar she seemed, like the librarian she had met in the school library that day.

“Excuse me, are you from Paradise High?” Ye Wushuang asked tentatively. Although she had already confirmed the girl’s identity, it was different when she asked it out loud.

This sentence would attract the girl’s attention and make the librarian focus her gaze on her.

Sure enough, the librarian raised her head. She looked at Ye Wushuang, but she just glanced at her casually and then quickly lowered her head. She didn’t seem used to making eye contact with people. Although you could tell from her expression and movements that she was very introverted, she was trembling now, like a little rabbit about to be slaughtered by a hunter.

This “strategy” target was completely different from the delinquent girl and the class monitor that Ye Wushuang had done before. At least those two could communicate. But this librarian hadn’t said anything after nodding. She just kept her head down. Because Ye Wushuang was close, she could feel the librarian’s anxiety. It seemed like she was afraid of social interaction.

In short, she had social anxiety.

This was one of the types that Ye Wushuang was most reluctant to deal with. It was ten times harder to “strategy” someone with this kind of personality than to communicate with ordinary people. Not only that, but it was very difficult for them to open up to others, let alone share their feelings.

Moreover, why is the title of this hidden “strategy” task called Unnatural Love?

Could it be that this young girl looks perfectly normal, but actually has a necrophilia or something like that?

Ye Wushuang held the computer and stared at it without any hesitation. She didn’t leave the store either. It was a bit of a distance from Angel Street to here. If she ran back and forth, it would be a waste of time. Plus, she was being watched by the police now, so she couldn’t use things like vampire bats or flying.

All she could do was act like a normal person and do all the things normal people do.

The librarian seemed to feel that Ye Wushuang’s gaze was piercing. She picked up the book again, blocking her vision. This made her feel a little better.

Time passed by minute by minute. The librarian didn’t speak, and it was pointless for Ye Wushuang to ask. They were wasting time here. Ye Wushuang was looking at the librarian’s complete information.

Mei Renyao [Passerby Card]

Occupation: High school freshman.

Sexual orientation: Heterosexual.

Relationship status: Secretly in love.

Romance difficulty: E-level.

Seeing that the name sounded like “Nobody Wants Her,” Ye Wushuang almost laughed. But she held it back, desperately pressing her head lower and lower. However, the dating app didn’t give her any more hints.

It was also because the other party was just a passerby card with no value, but the reward was very generous. Ye Wushuang didn’t understand the dating app’s task settings. She felt like there was a trap behind this generous reward.

Finally, as if she felt that Ye Wushuang had been sitting there for too long, the librarian timidly walked over and said softly, “Um, I can take a look at the computer for you first.”

She said this as if she had gathered all her courage. After she finished speaking, her face flushed red. She froze there, holding out her hand. Seeing that Ye Wushuang didn’t react, she didn’t know whether to put her hand down or stay as she was.

Ye Wushuang handed her the computer and reminded her, “It’s a bit heavy.”

The librarian nodded and held the computer steadily in her arms. But the next second, she lost her balance. Ye Wushuang quickly protected her, and the librarian didn’t fall. But her reaction was even more exaggerated. It was as if she had encountered a ferocious beast. She hugged the computer and ran to the workbench in one breath.

Ye Wushuang was speechless. She decided to give up on pursuing the librarian. Due to the dating app’s limitations, she could only focus on one person per task. Ye Wushuang felt she’d never win this girl’s heart, not even in her next life.

She sat back down, but she didn’t go forward. She was afraid that her movements would startle the librarian and make her even more nervous. But something unexpected happened. When she saw the inside of the computer, the librarian’s expression and actions became much more natural, and her voice also became louder.

“The computer is seriously aging. The fan hasn’t been cleaned for a long time. Plus, have you been experiencing sudden power outages recently? That’s why the power supply is completely broken…” After just a few glances, the librarian detailed everything she saw.

Ye Wushuang casually hummed a few times. Anyone with some computer repair experience would know this just by looking at the case. But the librarian’s movements were skilled. It was clear that she often helped repair computers.

She was very passionate about computers. Her movements were quick and efficient. Ye Wushuang had been to this store several times and had seen the boss repair computers, but she had never seen anyone as fast as her.

“It’s so pitiful. I’ll clean it for you.” She seemed to be talking to herself, but she was also talking to the computer, expressing her pity. She seemed to have more passion for computers than for humans.

An idea came to Ye Wushuang’s mind. She felt that the so-called Unnatural Love in the title referred to the librarian’s inability to open up to humans. If that was the case, then the romance difficulty wouldn’t be that great.

She just needed to get the librarian back to reality, have her look at the people around her, and achieve any ending, and she would get the corresponding reward. Ye Wushuang thought this, and the librarian had already cleaned the case. After a few tweaks, the computer turned on.

The screen froze on Ye Wushuang’s desktop. Looking at the shortcut icons for a bunch of dating games, Ye Wushuang wanted to bang her head against the wall. She suddenly remembered that she had been diligently absorbing knowledge about dating games that day to thoroughly understand the mysteries of the dating app. Of course, to avoid the boredom of text-based dating games, she had chosen games with Orange Power.

Even though they were just shortcut icons, obscuring the blurry true faces, the words themselves were utterly revealing. Ye Wushuang prayed the librarian hadn’t noticed those incriminating details, but her naive hopes went unanswered.

The librarian, who had seemed normal just now, returned to her state of not talking to Ye Wushuang. She suddenly retracted her hand, blushing, and after struggling for a long time, she couldn’t squeeze out any words.

Ye Wushuang regretted it. She had successfully ruined the good first impression she had made on the librarian. Although she still had a natural expression on her face, and she even claimed that it was her brother’s computer, the librarian had already shrunk into a corner.

After that, no matter what Ye Wushuang said, the librarian didn’t respond. What was even worse was that her already nonexistent affection had dropped from 0 to negative, which meant that the librarian was afraid of these things.

But she had been looking at those unspeakable things just now.

Ye Wushuang had ten thousand whys in her heart. Thinking that she still had a long time to wait, she used her X-ray vision to continue searching for things in front of her, looking for a breakthrough to continue the conversation. Her first target was the book that the librarian had secretly looked at. As she looked at it, she found that there were no women in the book.

The story centered around two attractive men; a clearly popular BL comic. While fujoshi (BL fans) were common, this was the first time Ye Wushuang had encountered one so shy yet so intensely devoted to BL.

She immediately thought of her best friend Meng Xing, who had been obsessed with BL for a while, but had quit because of the expensive merchandise. However, that wasn’t the point. Ye Wushuang could now ask her friend and create a common topic with the librarian.

Of course, the premise was that the librarian wouldn’t stay so far away from her. Ye Wushuang was about to go crazy. But just as she was waiting for her friend to reply to her WeChat message in despair, the owner of the computer store finally arrived.

Seeing her father, the librarian flew over to him and whispered a few words to him. The owner looked a little helpless, but he still squeezed out a smile and said apologetically to Ye Wushuang, “Sorry, my daughter is very introverted.”

As he spoke, he set down what he was holding and swiftly began helping Ye Wushuang fix her computer. It was called “repair,” but her computer was quite old. However, now that Ye Wushuang had money, the cost wasn’t a concern. Since she was already there, she decided to buy a new computer.

The owner was also a generous person. The two of them discussed enthusiastically, and they decided on the configuration of the assembled computer. The librarian listened silently, occasionally stealing glances at Ye Wushuang.

Ye Wushuang noticed, of course. She considered the dating app’s parameters and worried the librarian might inadvertently develop feelings for her. While she was also captivated by Qiu Ruishi’s charm, she had absolutely no intention of harming other young women.

Besides, even now, in this space, they hadn’t spoken more than five sentences. It was impossible for Ye Wushuang’s heart not to break.

She had been hesitating between accepting and giving up on the task for a long time. But every time she gave up, heaven would give her another chance.

“Come on, add my daughter’s WeChat.” After everything was settled, the owner said something that Ye Wushuang never expected.

This made both Ye Wushuang and the librarian stunned.

“Aren’t you guys from the same school?”

“Yeah, but this is the first time I’ve met your daughter.” Ye Wushuang couldn’t help but laugh. She felt like the owner’s thinking was very jumpy. But the owner didn’t think anything of it. He smiled and explained, “My daughter knows more about computers than I do. You can ask her if you have any questions. Based on the speed at which you’re messing with your computer, I think even aliens would be broken by you.”

The owner pointed at Ye Wushuang’s computer, which was about to retire. Just now, when he ran a simple antivirus scan, a bunch of red files popped up. Ye Wushuang was a little embarrassed, but she felt something was wrong.

She raised her head. Because they were so close, she could hear the owner’s thoughts.

‘She plays those strange games. Her personality should be compatible my daughter.’

But the owner’s grand excuse was in stark contrast to his thoughts. Ye Wushuang felt like her reputation was ruined. She really wanted to defend her purity and say that it was her brother who was playing the games, but…

Ye Wushuang couldn’t say it. She could only take out her phone and add the librarian’s WeChat, who was still a little reluctant. Then, the owner started to steer the conversation, even asking Ye Wushuang to stay for dinner.

But Ye Wushuang ran away. This way of making friends, which felt like a blind date, almost made her heart break. She ran away with her computer as if she was running for her life. But at this moment, she heard a phone ringing.

This ringtone was specially set for Qiu Ruishi. Ye Wushuang freed one hand and answered the phone.

“Is it Teacher Qiu? What brings you to call me?” Ye Wushuang teased Qiu Ruishi on the other end. If she remembered correctly, they hadn’t seen each other for half a month since the break started.

Qiu Ruishi on the other end didn’t speak directly. Instead, she used a light laugh to replace her answer. A few seconds later, Qiu Ruishi had finished laughing and then said in her familiar voice, “I missed you.”

It was a very ordinary polite phrase, but the person who said it and the person who heard it both had ulterior motives. Ye Wushuang felt the change in Qiu Ruishi’s tone and couldn’t help but smile, but she quickly realized that she was smiling too foolishly in public and quickly stopped.

“Are you smiling foolishly now?”

“How could I be? I’m not you.” Ye Wushuang retorted. She looked around, making sure that Qiu Ruishi wasn’t around this time, spying on her stupid look.

“Huh? Really?”

“Okay, I’m pretty happy now. The busy person actually took the time to call me.” Ye Wushuang decided to be honest. After all, Qiu Ruishi was a rare sight.

“Good to know. What are you doing now?” Qiu Ruishi didn’t care about the sourness in Ye Wushuang’s words and changed the topic.

“I just went to the computer store to get my computer fixed.”

“Yeah, they didn’t see those embarrassing things on your desktop?”

“Qiu Ruishi, are you nearby? How do you know so clearly?”

“I guessed.” Qiu Ruishi on the other end chuckled. It was clear that she was in a good mood. Her tone was slow, and her voice sounded a little hoarse.

“You wouldn’t have caught a cold, would you?” Ye Wushuang heard the change in her voice and asked anxiously.

“It’s so thoughtful of you to worry about me. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch a cold; I’ve just been talking too much lately, so my throat’s a little sore.” Qiu Ruishi’s voice was bright, as if their long-awaited reunion had put them both in good spirits.

“Then you shouldn’t talk. Let’s chat by typing.” Ye Wushuang was even more anxious when she heard this. She couldn’t help but add, “I don’t want to hear you have a crow’s voice in a few days.”

Qiu Ruishi laughed even more heartily when she heard this. “It’s okay. I know my limits. Besides, I’m going to hang up after I finish saying this.”

The conversation hadn’t lasted more than two minutes, and Qiu Ruishi was already saying she was going to hang up. Ye Wushuang realized that she didn’t have as much time with Qiu Ruishi as she thought. She felt reluctant, but she couldn’t be selfish.

“Okay, you’re busy then.”

“Be careful on your way home. I’ll hang up now.” Qiu Ruishi said, waiting for Ye Wushuang to hang up. But Ye Wushuang didn’t want to hang up at all. She just waited silently for Qiu Ruishi to hang up.

“Hey, Wushuang, hang up.” Qiu Ruishi was amused. According to phone etiquette, the person who answered the phone should hang up first. But now, Ye Wushuang was delaying. As someone who was well-mannered, she couldn’t hang up the phone.

“I want to hear your voice more, busy person.” Ye Wushuang teased, although she was thinking the same thing in her heart.

Qiu Ruishi laughed again, but this time, she laughed even more exaggeratedly, almost uncontrollably. Ye Wushuang didn’t understand what joke she had made. A few seconds later, Qiu Ruishi stopped laughing and continued, “Go home quickly. You can listen as much as you want then.”

Ye Wushuang’s eyes lit up. She never thought that Qiu Ruishi would suddenly give her such a surprise. This kind of surprise made her want to fly back immediately, but the people following her made her choose to give up. She ran to the bus stop, eagerly waiting for the bus to Angel Street to arrive.

Hurry… hurry…

Ye Wushuang practically ran home with her computer. She went straight to her room on the second floor. Qiu Ruishi was sitting on her bed with a smile, being harassed by her brother, Ye Wuwei.

Without thinking, Ye Wushuang threw Ye Wuwei out of her room, closed the door, and locked it. She looked at Qiu Ruishi, who was sitting in her room, and couldn’t help but laugh.

Qiu Ruishi’s gaze looked at the door with some anxiety. “Your brother was screaming so miserably just now. You didn’t break his bones, did you?” But her polite concern wasn’t Ye Wushuang’s focus. She pounced on Qiu Ruishi and hugged her.

All words stopped there. Qiu Ruishi was stunned for a moment, then she reached out and hugged Ye Wushuang.

‘I missed you.’

Qiu Ruishi’s thoughts rang out again, in sync with Ye Wushuang’s thoughts.

Ye Wuwei’s howls continued outside, but within the room, a peaceful silence reigned. Unaffected by the storm outside, they savored the quiet comfort of their reunion after more than half a month apart.

They were friends, but more than friends.

They were in love, but neither of them had given it a name.

But the weight of their tight embrace was telling them the answer to their feelings.

The phone vibrated crazily. Ye Wushuang was too lazy to care. She just wanted to hold Qiu Ruishi, she wanted to enjoy their reunion. Unfortunately, Qiu Ruishi didn’t respond. She hugged Ye Wushuang and fell asleep in her arms.

Even so, Ye Wushuang didn’t show any negative emotions.

She didn’t know how gentle her gaze was as she looked at Qiu Ruishi, nor did she know that she was even more infatuated with Qiu Ruishi than she thought. Ye Wushuang helped Qiu Ruishi cover herself with the blanket, making sure she wouldn’t catch a cold, then she opened her phone.

On the dating app, her bounty was displayed, ten times higher, with the words “Can be killed” marked.
