Ye Wushuang was overjoyed. “Qiu Ruishi, you’re really a good person.” She couldn’t wait to express her thoughts, but she was met with Qiu Ruishi’s frown.

“What’s wrong? Aren’t you a good person?” Ye Wushuang became even more confused. She didn’t understand Qiu Ruishi’s mood, which was like a shower with occasional bursts of rain. It was too fast for her to grasp.

Qiu Ruishi shook her head. She touched her face, as if she was confirming whether her expression had betrayed her. Ye Wushuang had always been able to see through her true emotions, even though she used to only have one expression.

This feeling made her uneasy, but not afraid. It’s just that when Ye Wushuang said she was a good person, she thought about the “good person card” that Ling Bobo had told her about.

“I didn’t say I would help you for free.”

“Well, what do you want me to do? I won’t do anything immoral.” Ye Wushuang became afraid when she heard this. She thought about Qiu Ruishi’s vast wealth and the fact that she was the next head of the Qiu family. If Qiu Ruishi asked her for the moon, she probably wouldn’t be able to get it.

Qiu Ruishi saw Ye Wushuang overthinking and shook her head. She continued, “Anyway, it’s not what you’re thinking… I just hope that next time you invite me, you won’t bring a third person.” She was very dissatisfied with today’s three-person date. If she had known that the class monitor would be there, Qiu Ruishi wouldn’t have come.

“Oh, I thought you were already friends? Sorry, I guess I misunderstood.” Ye Wushuang was full of apologies.

“No, we should be friends. It’s just, would you treat your teacher who teaches you like this?” Qiu Ruishi shook her head helplessly. She felt like Ye Wushuang’s misunderstanding had gone from west to east. But if she said it directly, she couldn’t bring herself to say it.

After thinking for a moment, she leaned closer and continued, “Can you hear it?”

“What?”

“My thoughts.”

“That? My Mind Reading skill can only hear within one meter. But today, I chose this table…” Ye Wushuang had deliberately chosen a large table for the sake of appearances, but she had gotten the opposite result.

Not only had she not eaten much of the food on the table, but the distance had also become a separate triangle.

“So, the distance is only one meter?” Qiu Ruishi smiled lightly and slowly returned to her original position. Ye Wushuang felt a sense of foreboding. She thought about how she had revealed the specific distance of her Mind Reading skill. If she wanted to read Qiu Ruishi’s thoughts again, it would be much more difficult.

She regretted her actions, but she saw the class monitor returning.

“You two seem to be chatting happily. What are you talking about?” The class monitor didn’t know what they were discussing.

This time, the two of them smiled at each other in unison, and then they started talking about how delicious the food was.

A few minutes later, Ye Wushuang also went to the bathroom. Even though vampires didn’t have periods, they still needed to deal with food other than blood. There was no bathroom in this MoDa Plaza store. Every time she went to the bathroom, it took a certain amount of time. Ye Wushuang waited until she was done. She would probably sit there for a while before checking out.

The most important thing was that the class monitor didn’t have the junior reporter as a lubricant, and the two of them were at odds again. Ye Wushuang was having a headache. She wanted to mediate, but she found that her eloquence was still useless.

“Well, maybe you’re better off without her.” Ye Wushuang shook her head. She couldn’t help but think about the junior reporter, about everything she had done. Whether those actions were fake or not, Ye Wushuang had truly felt very happy during those few days.

But those memories were quickly replaced by the events that had happened during the reloads. Ye Wushuang splashed some water on her face, killing the illusion of wanting to return to the past.

A few minutes later, Ye Wushuang returned to the store. The two of them had already packed up their things and even paid the bill. They smiled and welcomed Ye Wushuang back, but judging from their seating distance, their relationship seemed to have worsened.

Ye Wushuang couldn’t do anything about it. She habitually lowered her head to look at her phone and saw two WeChat messages. One was from the class monitor, asking Ye Wushuang to wait for her at the KTV.

The other was from Qiu Ruishi, saying that she would send her back to her home on Angel Street and that they could chat along the way.

The game’s plot was playing out again, trying to bend Ye Wushuang’s sexual orientation into a spiral. Ye Wushuang was really worried that her sexual orientation would actually become homosexual, but she had to complete her main task.

The three of them walked in silence, then said goodbye at a crossroads. Ye Wushuang sent Qiu Ruishi an apologetic WeChat message, saying that she had other things to deal with.

[WeChat] Qiu Ruishi: Be careful.

[WeChat] Ye Wushuang: You too.

Just when Ye Wushuang thought the polite conversation was over, she saw another line of text from Qiu Ruishi.

[WeChat] Qiu Ruishi: I have something to do nearby too. If I’m still around after you finish talking with the class monitor, I can give you a ride.

Ye Wushuang looked at the content of the WeChat message and didn’t know what to say about Qiu Ruishi’s kindness. She looked around, worried that Qiu Ruishi was nearby.

But after looking around, the beautiful woman who attracted attention wasn’t there.

A few seconds later, as if she saw that Ye Wushuang hadn’t replied, Qiu Ruishi sent another message.

[WeChat] Qiu Ruishi: I’m not watching you. I just happened to see the class monitor asking where the KTV is.

[WeChat] Ye Wushuang: Maybe she’s just meeting other friends.

[WeChat] Qiu Ruishi: She doesn’t have any friends.

[WeChat] Ye Wushuang: You’re so blunt. You wouldn’t have been infected by the class monitor, would you?

Ye Wushuang couldn’t help but laugh. Although Qiu Ruishi was telling the truth, the class monitor was indeed the kind of person who was so direct that even her good friends might get stabbed in the heart.

But Qiu Ruishi wasn’t much better. She always wore a hypocritical mask, and it was impossible to see through her true thoughts. Although this kind of Qiu Ruishi was so shrewd that it was chilling, she was sometimes clumsy and cute.

They were both extremes, like day and night. It seemed like no matter how you looked at it, they would never be friends in this lifetime. Ye Wushuang gave up trying. She had successfully avoided the class monitor’s liking. Next, she just needed to find a way to fill the class monitor’s emptiness.

Not long after, her phone rang again. The class monitor sent her a location. Ye Wushuang followed the map and arrived. They sat down in the KTV. They didn’t even turn on the music. They just wanted to find a place to talk.

But Ye Wushuang didn’t understand why the class monitor had chosen the KTV when there were so many other places to chat.

“What’s wrong, class monitor?”

“Can you call me Qiu Ping?”

“Huh? I’m used to calling you class monitor. And you and Qiu Ruishi have the same surname. It feels too strange.” Ye Wushuang was a little resistant. The shadow of the class monitor’s confession was still spinning in her mind.

To be honest, she was afraid that the class monitor would confess again in this KTV. Although she was a little narcissistic, according to the design of the dating app, it was indeed possible for the same thing to happen.

“Then call me class monitor.” Seeing Ye Wushuang’s insistence, the class monitor didn’t force her. Then, she sat up straight. Ye Wushuang was also infected and couldn’t help but sit up straight, waiting for the class monitor to continue.

But what she got wasn’t a confession or a revelation of Ye Wushuang’s lie. The class monitor told her everything that had happened with the Dark Lady that day. However, she had added a lot of her imagination, making the Dark Lady seem completely divine.

As the person involved, Ye Wushuang was embarrassed by the praise, but she had to act normal to avoid the class monitor discovering that she was the Dark Lady.

As they chatted, the class monitor continued to sigh, “Wushuang, I think I’m in love. I’ve fallen in love with a woman.”

She sighed, but her eyes were filled with confusion.

This was the first time Ye Wushuang had seen this expression.

“You wouldn’t really…” This expression, compared to the class monitor’s straightforward confession to her, clearly had a sense of authenticity.

If the confession to Ye Wushuang was just a joke, then the current class monitor really seemed like a woman in love.

“I’ve never been so worried about someone before… I don’t even know what she looks like, but I like her. Am I sick?” The class monitor mocked herself, but she couldn’t suppress this feeling.

Ye Wushuang listened quietly, then felt the class monitor grab her hand. “Wushuang, what do you think I should do?” She had called Ye Wushuang here, clearly wanting an answer.

And this answer was very important, both for the class monitor and for Ye Wushuang herself. If she didn’t say it well, it might trigger a more intense butterfly effect.

Ye Wushuang found herself at a crossroads. She considered the dating app but quickly dismissed the thought. No matter how helpful it might be, her life was ultimately her own to navigate. The app could offer one or two options, but it couldn’t dictate her choices for the rest of her life.

So, she changed her action of taking out her phone. Instead, she grabbed the class monitor’s hand and said seriously, “Qiu Ping, this is your life. I’ve always admired your personality. You’re so straightforward. I think, if you’re really so troubled, you can try it first.”

“What do you mean?” This statement seemed too profound for the class monitor.

Ye Wushuang could only refine her nonsense a little. “Try loving for a few days first.”

The class monitor was stunned for a moment, then she burst into exaggerated laughter. Her laughter made Ye Wushuang feel awkward, thinking she had said something wrong. But soon, the class monitor reached out and hugged her, continuing, “Wushuang, it’s really great to be your friend.”
