She positioned herself just outside the range of Ye Wushuang’s mind-reading ability. Ye Wushuang tried to approach, but Qiu Ruishi immediately retreated, maintaining a perfect distance that made Ye Wushuang suspect Qiu Ruishi possessed mind-reading powers as well.

“Sorry, let me sort out my emotions.” She saw Ye Wushuang’s confusion and made a gesture to stop, unwilling to let Ye Wushuang get any closer.

“Okay, it’s not too late to talk when you figure it out.” Ye Wushuang paused for a moment. She felt like she shouldn’t force Qiu Ruishi and shouldn’t read her thoughts.

Even Qiu Ruishi probably needed a real private space.

The two of them went downstairs and had breakfast. It was still the same tonic as always, but after eating it for a few days, Ye Wushuang had gradually gone from feeling disgusted to accepting it calmly.

Just like Qiu Ruishi’s existence. Maybe, when this semester ends, she might even feel lonely leaving Qiu Ruishi.

Halfway through breakfast, there was a commotion outside. The door was suddenly pushed open. Ye Wushuang looked curiously and saw Qiu Ruishi’s sister, who was covered in dust. She was wearing dirty clothes, as if she had just crawled out of a mud pit. Her eyes were filled with fatigue.

Butler No. 5 immediately greeted her and asked if she wanted to have breakfast.

Qiu Ruishi’s sister’s gaze swept over the two people at the dining table, finally stopping on Qiu Ruishi. She winked at her. “No, I’m not in the mood… Ruishi, come here for a moment.”

It was clear that this was a private matter between the Qiu sisters. It had nothing to do with Ye Wushuang, the outsider.

Ye Wushuang didn’t mind. She guessed that it was probably because of what had happened last night. Although Qiu Ruishi’s sister believed her sister, she didn’t believe this outsider at all. Now, she was probably asking for more details about last night.

But Qiu Ruishi wasn’t a pushover either. She would naturally find a way to deal with it.

But…

Ye Wushuang thought about the different Qiu Ruishi from last night. She couldn’t help but feel concerned. Thinking about this, while waiting for Qiu Ruishi to go to school, she searched Baidu for information about schizophrenia.

[Schizophrenia is a group of serious mental illnesses with unknown causes. It usually develops slowly or subacutely in young adults. Clinically, it often manifests as various syndromes with different symptoms, involving multiple aspects of impairment, such as perception, thinking, emotion, and behavior, as well as incoordination of mental activity. Patients are generally conscious and have basically normal intelligence, but some patients experience cognitive impairment during the course of the disease.]

After reading the explanation, Ye Wushuang felt like it was completely different from Qiu Ruishi’s situation yesterday. Compared to schizophrenia, she was more like she had a new personality.

So, Ye Wushuang searched for information about multiple personalities.

[Multiple personality disorder specifically refers to a mental disorder in which a person has two relatively distinct and separate personalities, with the original/initial personality (the patient before the split) as the main personality and the split/derived personality as the sub-personality. Normal people have two ways of thinking at the same time. The operation and decision-making of these two ways of thinking are not interfered with or influenced by the other way of thinking. They operate completely independently.]

Qiu Ruishi was usually gentle and refined. Although she was completely black inside, she was still a well-mannered beautiful girl. But yesterday was different. The unfamiliar Qiu Ruishi was cold, even emotionless.

They were completely different, but also similar. Ye Wushuang felt like Qiu Ruishi should see a psychiatrist, but she thought that if she said it, Qiu Ruishi would probably smile and slap her.

The sicker people are, the more they tend to think they’re not sick at all.

Ye Wushuang sighed, finished her last bite of breakfast, and the conversation inside ended. Qiu Ruishi still had a smile on her face, but for some reason, it looked very strained in Ye Wushuang’s eyes.

“Let’s go to school.” But even so, she didn’t tell Ye Wushuang why she felt sad. She just urged her to leave quickly.

Ye Wushuang had to swallow the words in her throat. She picked up her schoolbag and went out.

Qiu Ruishi’s sister stood by the door, her gaze full of vigilance and hostility. When Ye Wushuang reached the door, she stopped her without hesitation and said in a loud voice, “How is it, Little Sister Wushuang? Are you enjoying staying here?”

After saying that, she lowered her voice and said, “You can fool Ruishi, but you can’t fool me!” It was as if the previous sentence was only for Qiu Ruishi, while this one was for Ye Wushuang.

Facing this childishness from Qiu Ruishi’s sister, Ye Wushuang felt like crying but couldn’t. She could only reply, “It’s very good. It feels like living in paradise.”

As she spoke, she walked towards the door, ignoring Qiu Ruishi’s sister’s threat. She understood that no matter what she explained, Qiu Jeiyi wouldn’t let go of her suspicions.

“What did my sister tell you just now?” When the car door closed, Qiu Ruishi asked Ye Wushuang, who was sitting next to her.

“Nothing important. She just told me to take good care of you.” Ye Wushuang made up an explanation, trying to ease the slightly stiff atmosphere.

Qiu Ruishi chuckled. “Are you sure you’re the one taking care of me?”

“Isn’t it?”

“Then let me ask you.”

“What?”

Seeing Qiu Ruishi getting serious, Ye Wushuang couldn’t help but sit up straight. She wanted to see how she would answer this ‘taking care of’ question.

“Who’s the one teaching you?”

“You.”

“Who’s the one vouching for you?”

“You.”

“Who’s the one feeding you?”

“Uh… still you.”

“So, what conclusion can you draw?”

Ye Wushuang had to admit that Qiu Ruishi was very important to her. It’s just that she didn’t understand why Qiu Ruishi, who had always been indifferent to these things, suddenly cared about this. Seeing her serious expression, she quickly said, “I can’t live without you.”

It was just a joke, but Qiu Ruishi’s expression became even more strange. She tried hard to hold back, as if she was suppressing her tears from bursting out. The space in the car was limited. Ye Wushuang moved closer to her. Qiu Ruishi had nowhere to hide. She heard Qiu Ruishi’s thoughts.

Qiu Ruishi’s thoughts: Butler No. 1 is dead?

Qiu Ruishi’s thoughts: Is it really because of my curse? So, everyone close to me becomes unfortunate?

Ye Wushuang was stunned. She suddenly remembered that she hadn’t told Qiu Ruishi about what happened with Butler No. 1 yesterday. She had originally planned to tell her after school today, but she didn’t expect the news to spread so quickly.

It was clear that Qiu Ruishi thought it was all her fault.

“It has nothing to do with you. It’s fate.” Ye Wushuang grabbed Qiu Ruishi’s hand and told her not to overthink. Qiu Ruishi struggled to shake Ye Wushuang’s hand off, but Ye Wushuang held on tighter. She hugged Qiu Ruishi and told her over and over again that it had nothing to do with her.

“It’s not your fault. Those bad guys are targeting me. Butler No. 1 was a victim because of me.” Ye Wushuang stubbornly repeated, taking the blame on herself.

She would rather choose to take the blame and bear the pain for Qiu Ruishi than let Qiu Ruishi suffer. Seeing her like this, Ye Wushuang felt even worse. She even thought that it was because of Qiu Ruishi’s repeated struggles and guilt that she had developed a split personality.

And recently, because so many things had happened, Qiu Ruishi’s changes had intensified. Ye Wushuang thought this and hugged her even tighter.

“Let go of me!”

“No, I won’t let go even if I die!”

“Hurry up, it’s embarrassing!”

“Huh?” Ye Wushuang was a little confused. She didn’t understand why Qiu Ruishi would say that. But when she looked up, she understood.

For some reason, the students who should have been gathered at the school hadn’t entered the campus. They were all gathered there. Many people had seen the car parked there.

Not only that, they seemed to have seen what was inside the car.

No matter what angle you looked at it from, it seemed like the two of them were doing something inappropriate in the car. Ye Wushuang had been too focused and hadn’t noticed the situation around her because of the car’s tinted windows.

And now…

Ye Wushuang silently took out her phone. She really wanted to reload and redo this morning, but…

“I really want to die.” Ye Wushuang still didn’t do it. She could only use her schoolbag to cover her face, but she refused to get out of the car.

But Qiu Ruishi laughed. She pulled Ye Wushuang out of the car. “Didn’t you say you wouldn’t let go even if you died?”

“Oh, that must have been my twin sister who said that.” Ye Wushuang replied. She felt a force pulling her. She was still pulled out of the car by Qiu Ruishi, even in front of so many people.

Although their relationship had become friends, and Ye Wushuang even lived at Qiu Ruishi’s house, they had always kept a low profile. But this was the first time they had gone to school together, especially with Qiu Ruishi, who was a school beauty.

She could imagine how she looked like a clown in everyone’s eyes. She didn’t look up. Instead, she looked down at the countdown number on the dating app.

No matter what, once she absorbed all the attribute points from the junior reporter’s phone, she would definitely add all those attribute points to Charm. Ye Wushuang secretly swore to herself. She walked towards the door, watching as more and more people gathered.

It turned out that the live stream incident last night had made the school famous. But this was the last week, so the school had to hold classes. Several classrooms that had been polluted by bugs couldn’t be used, so the classrooms for the lower grades were requisitioned. The students Ye Wushuang saw in front of her were the first-year students. They were now being sent to the nearby museum on foot, under the guise of a study tour.

As for the third-year students, they stayed at school to continue studying because their final exams were coming up soon.

Many places around were surrounded by caution tape. When she walked into the school, she saw many people in uniform. Ye Wushuang also saw Qin Kechang, the forensic doctor. She seemed to see Ye Wushuang too. She smiled slightly at her and then lowered her head to continue working.

Ye Wushuang nodded back at her. She walked into the classroom with Qiu Ruishi and heard the boys in the back row gossiping.

It turned out that after the live stream incident yesterday, the police came to clean up the scene. However, the bugs left behind were difficult to clean up. Their bodies contained strong corrosive properties, and they could even melt steel directly. Because of this, they had to ask a special expert for help.

Not only were there bugs, but several places in the school were also graffitied with the traditional Chinese character ‘恋’ (love).

The boy in the back seat leaned closer, whispering in Ye Wushuang’s ear, “I heard that the paint is human blood. It’s from those people who were drained of blood and died.”

For ordinary people, this would definitely be scary. Ye Wushuang’s pupils contracted sharply, and she was also scared, but her surprise was different from that of ordinary people.

“Where are those graffiti?” She immediately asked a second question, eager for an answer.

The boy in the back seat shook his head, indicating that he didn’t know the location of the blood characters. He knew about this because his cousin was inside, and he had to coax him to get some information.

Ye Wushuang fell silent. Her mind was on the blood characters. Because she had been investigating with the junior reporter, walking around everywhere, even when Ye Wushuang left, she had carefully checked the school inside and out, worried about leaving fingerprints or other traces.

She hadn’t seen any bloodstains, let alone any blood, anywhere else. In other words, it was very likely that someone else had appeared that night.

Could it be that chubby woman?

Ye Wushuang was suspicious. Now, all the players in the dating app were her enemies. She had to be more cautious in every move she made and couldn’t make any mistakes.

And the battle with the junior reporter yesterday, she had only won because of the help of the reload skill. She didn’t know when the reload skill would run out of uses. Ye Wushuang had to be more careful with this skill.

Ye Wushuang had another worry. The most worrying thing was that the class monitor hadn’t come to school today. She asked the boy in the back seat again and found out that the class monitor had taken a leave of absence.

“If I encountered a murderer like that, I would be scared to death too. But it’s really unexpected. The vampire is just an ordinary first-year student.” The boy in the back seat continued to share his observations with Ye Wushuang without reservation.

Ye Wushuang squeezed out a smile. If Ye Wushuang hadn’t reloaded at the time, the class monitor would have already died. Maybe it was better now than the last time she died.

At least, the class monitor was alive…

The morning classes were a blur. Neither the teachers nor the students were focused on their studies. Even though the teachers kept reminding them, as soon as class was over, the students started to guess and suspect about the terrifying events from last night.

The boy in the back seat continued to share his deductions with Ye Wushuang. Of course, it was all nonsense. Ye Wushuang wasn’t in the mood to listen. She looked at her phone absentmindedly. Suddenly, the noise in the classroom stopped.

This strangeness sent a warning signal to Ye Wushuang. She looked up and saw someone standing at the door.

It was none other than the class monitor, the female protagonist of last night’s live stream.

Everyone was quiet because they found it unbelievable that the class monitor had appeared. The next second, everyone’s expressions changed from surprise to confusion. The class monitor didn’t seem to care. She glanced at Ye Wushuang’s location and then sat back down in her seat.

The headmaster and his divorced wife were still standing outside. Their gazes lingered, clearly not feeling comfortable leaving the class monitor alone.

For everyone, what had happened last night was terrifying. The murderer had live-streamed the dismemberment of a person without anyone knowing. It had also put the class monitor on the edge of a knife.

Not only the media and the police, but the school would also pay excessive attention to the only person who had survived. Ye Wushuang felt like she had used the wrong method, but she couldn’t think of any other way at the time.

Her phone vibrated. It was a private message on WeChat, not a reminder from the dating app. The person who sent the message was the class monitor. She said that she had something private to talk about with Ye Wushuang.

Ye Wushuang felt like what had happened on the bus last night had betrayed her, so the class monitor wanted to talk to her. Ye Wushuang had decided not to admit it. No matter what the class monitor said, she wouldn’t admit that the person last night was her.

Thinking about this, Ye Wushuang still checked the class monitor’s information, but she saw that her affection for Ye Wushuang had reached 100%.

The brief contact on the bus last night seemed to be the key to increasing her affection. According to the game’s settings, the class monitor could now be ‘taken down’.

She suddenly understood that it was her, the vampire, who had filled the class monitor’s inner emptiness. Because of this, she had been persistently searching, not only for her parents to reunite, but also so she could see the vampire again.

Ye Wushuang was a little happy, but she was also more sad.

It was so happy to be liked by someone, but she wasn’t happy because she wasn’t being liked for who she really was. It was just because of her vampire identity. She felt sad. If the class monitor didn’t see the real her, then this liking was better off not existing.

And Ye Wushuang decided that she would complete the “strategy” and make the class monitor give up on her. Her brain reacted quickly. She analyzed the situation using Intelligence and quickly chose several options for Ye Wushuang.

She didn’t know if it was Ye Wushuang’s illusion, but she felt like the passive Intelligence option was getting a little more reliable, especially one of the options that read:

7: Find someone to impersonate you, so that the class monitor will give up on the human you.

Ye Wushuang’s lips curled into a smile. She immediately began to use the bugs to carpet-search for the most suitable candidate – the Sea Eagle. Unfortunately, the Sea Eagle was entangled with the fat cat and couldn’t escape. Ye Wushuang had no choice but to send a message to Qiu Ruishi.

Qiu Ruishi readily sent a smiling emoji, refusing.

[WeChat] Qiu Ruishi: Isn’t it good?

[WeChat] Ye Wushuang: Qui Ruishi, can you stop bullying me?

[WeChat] Qiu Ruishi: I’m serious. Isn’t the class monitor good?

Ye Wushuang felt like she was going crazy, but she couldn’t directly tell Qiu Ruishi about her feelings of despair. She could only patiently continue typing.

[WeChat] Ye Wushuang: Sister, love isn’t something you can just say is good.

[WeChat] Qiu Ruishi: Little Ye Wushuang, you dare to lecture me.

[WeChat] Ye Wushuang: In terms of games, I’ve rejected millions of girls.

Qiu Ruishi sent a disdainful emoji. Ye Wushuang saw her glance at her with disdain. But Qiu Ruishi was beautiful. No matter what she did, she was beautiful. The boy in the back seat even thought she was looking at him. He proudly showed off to her.

Ye Wushuang perfunctorily dealt with the boy in the back seat and then continued typing.

[WeChat] Ye Wushuang: Okay, I’m just kidding. Will you help or not?

[WeChat] Qiu Ruishi: No.

The conversation was abruptly ended by Qiu Ruishi. Ye Wushuang could only temporarily give up, praying that the class monitor wouldn’t come and confess to her in the middle of the day.

But she was wrong. She underestimated the class monitor’s determination.

“Ye Wushuang, please go out with me.” In the middle of this gloomy afternoon, the class monitor cornered Ye Wushuang in the gymnasium and loudly confessed her feelings.
