It was unclear who was taking from whom, and it was unclear why it was getting hotter and hotter. It was a cold storage, but they were sweating profusely. They just continued to act on instinct. Their phones were still vibrating frantically, but no one paid any attention.

The world shifted in hue. Ye Wushuang, intent on claiming Qiu Ruishi, sought to paint her with her own colors. Qiu Ruishi resisted, but the storm gathered, lightning flashed, thunder roared. A muffled cry escaped her lips, but she was forced to surrender as Ye Wushuang’s passion overwhelmed her.

All color drained from the world around them. Ye Wushuang consumed Qiu Ruishi before her, stripping away her former nobility. Their sweat mingled, clinging to each other as they pressed together, the movement slow and gentle, yet deeply moving. Their hearts pounded, threatening to burst from their chests, yet both were exhilarated.

They were like the sky and the clouds; the humble clouds, in time, used their power to darken the sky’s color. Qiu Ruishi, her strength spent, surrendered her initiative. She watched as Ye Wushuang’s lips curved into a smile, watched as Ye Wushuang released her hold, then extended sharp teeth to sink into her neck.

A slight stinging sensation came, followed by a storm. Qiu Ruishi closed her eyes and endured the resistance from Ye Wushuang. Blood dripped slightly from the wound, making Qiu Ruishi even more beautiful.

She couldn’t take it anymore. She couldn’t bear the pressure of the clouds. She felt like all the parts of her body had lost their consciousness. It was just a touch, and the dark clouds turned back into harmless clouds.

No, it wasn’t clouds. It was Ye Wushuang.

Qiu Ruishi stared at Ye Wushuang in front of her. She saw worry in her eyes, but because of the overwhelming sensation of being sucked, she didn’t even have the strength to speak.

“Did I suck too much again? Qiu Ruishi, are you okay?” Ye Wushuang was very scared. She had tried very hard to control her desire to suck blood, but looking at Qiu Ruishi, it was as if she had been run over by a tractor 108 times. She couldn’t tell if she was uncomfortable or enjoying it, but she was still so beautiful and charming.

“There seems to be some noise in the basement. Could it be rats?”

“What are you talking about? If there were rats in this place, they would have frozen to death long ago.”

It seemed like the two of them had been in the basement freezer for too long. The maids’ voices came from outside.

“It’s true. Could it be some kind of ghost?” The maid was still scared. She stood at the door and didn’t come in.

Ye Wushuang was stunned. Qiu Ruishi next to her grabbed her hand and gestured to her with her eyes. She was so uneasy, as if she was afraid that the maids would see them in this state. Ye Wushuang quickly agreed. She gently picked up Qiu Ruishi and flew directly to the second floor of the basement. She hid behind a large box and watched the situation.

“Xiaohong, don’t you want to…”

“No, Xiaolan, you misunderstood…”

The two maids’ conversation continued. As they spoke, their voices became lower and lower. They felt the two figures overlapping. Compared to the scene of Qiu Ruishi and Ye Wushuang kissing just now, what was happening in front of them was truly orange-flavored.

Ye Wushuang didn’t dare to look. Her Orange Power had just returned to zero. If she looked again, it would probably skyrocket. Thinking about this, she fumbled for her phone, but she found that her phone was still lying there quietly.

Because night mode was already turned on, the light wasn’t very obvious. The two maids came in and were so lovey-dovey that they didn’t notice. It’s just that what should she do now…

Ye Wushuang couldn’t possibly watch a big show and then sneak back to get her phone. She couldn’t just stand there holding Qiu Ruishi for so long. After thinking about it for a moment, she decided to send Qiu Ruishi back first.

“I’ll send you back first.” Ye Wushuang whispered to Qiu Ruishi’s ear, stroking her hand. She could hear Qiu Ruishi’s thoughts.

Qiu Ruishi’s inner voice: Send me back first? You’re going to stay here and watch them?

Even in the darkness, Ye Wushuang could see Qiu Ruishi’s disgusted expression. It was as if she had already thought of Ye Wushuang in an impure way.

“I’m not staying to watch them. I left my phone there. I have to get it back first.” Ye Wushuang was helpless. Although this opportunity to watch a real-life yuri movie was rare, she really didn’t have any interest in watching it.

Qiu Ruishi’s inner voice: Then I’ll wait for you. Don’t scare them to death.

“Humans can’t be scared to death that easily.” Ye Wushuang shook her head. She felt like Qiu Ruishi was overprotective, but then she thought of the serial dismemberment killer who had been scared to death by them not long ago, and she felt a little guilty.

She had to fly more carefully. She held her breath and moved closer, following the rhythm of their voices.

Closer, closer. Ye Wushuang was sweating. Even when facing a life-or-death test, she hadn’t been as nervous as she was now. Ye Wushuang hadn’t learned the Invisibility skill yet. If she was discovered, she would have to suck their blood to make them forget.

But if she sucked their blood, Qiu Ruishi would be unhappy.

Many problems piled up together, forcing Ye Wushuang to be cautious. At least, she didn’t want to cause any trouble for the others in Qiu Ruishi’s house. And Qiu Ruishi’s sister, if she discovered anything, Ye Wushuang’s entire subconscious would immediately be kicked into the identity of a criminal suspect.

Finally, she moved to where her phone was. Suddenly, the two lovebirds changed positions. Unfortunately, they were facing Ye Wushuang’s position. Then, the low, pleasant voice disappeared, and one of the maids screamed.

Ye Wushuang quickly grabbed her phone and then flew up with a whoosh. She used the Teleportation skill to escape back to the room with Qiu Ruishi. Ye Wushuang wiped the sweat from her forehead. She saw Qiu Ruishi looking calm and composed.

“Ugh, how did they suddenly change positions? I almost got caught.” Ye Wushuang sighed. The things that had happened tonight were really exciting. Fortunately, she had tested the Teleportation skill many times, so she didn’t fail at a crucial moment.

But Qiu Ruishi didn’t seem to care. She looked at Ye Wushuang, who was acting guilty, and said calmly, “Actually, it’s fine even if they find out.” In fact, she hoped they would find out. She felt like it would be more interesting that way.

“How can it be fine? You forgot about your sister. If she knew we…”

“We what?” Qiu Ruishi’s smile widened. She teased Ye Wushuang, who was already flustered.

“We… about me sucking blood. She’ll definitely think I’m the killer who drained people’s blood.” Ye Wushuang also thought of her impulsive actions just now. She still couldn’t find the right words to express her behavior.

“But you always happen to suck the person’s blood first, don’t you?” Qiu Ruishi changed positions. She seemed to be a little more tired after being sucked. Since Ye Wushuang had arrived, her biological clock seemed to be a little messed up.

Ye Wushuang fell silent, acknowledging Qiu Ruishi’s statement. She sat down and calmed her racing heart. She couldn’t help but look at Qiu Ruishi’s reaction.

But she didn’t seem to care about the kiss at all. She was still so calm, and she could even look directly at her. Ye Wushuang couldn’t help but want to get closer to her, to hold her hand, to know what Qiu Ruishi was thinking.

But Qiu Ruishi slightly turned her body at this moment, creating a distance between them.

“You can’t always listen to my thoughts like this.”

“But I want to understand you.”

“Not knowing is also a kind of understanding.” Qiu Ruishi smiled at her and then gently closed her eyes, as if she was about to fall asleep. Seeing that Qiu Ruishi wasn’t paying attention to her, Ye Wushuang simply upgraded her Mind Reading skill to level 2.

[Congratulations, player, for upgrading Mind Reading to level 2.]

[Mind Reading Level 2 Description: You can hear the thoughts of people within a one-meter radius of yourself.]

Although the level 2 range was only one meter, it was enough for Qiu Ruishi, who was unwilling to let her hear her thoughts. Ye Wushuang watched as the upgrade was successful. She wanted to test it out, but Qiu Ruishi was already asleep. She had to give up the idea of testing it and simply lay down.

The first floor had already become a mess because of the noise, but the two of them on the second floor slept peacefully until dawn, as if the commotion had nothing to do with them.

Early the next morning, Butler No. 5 told Qiu Ruishi about what had happened last night.

“Miss Ruishi, the basement was haunted last night.”

“Oh? Haunted?” Qiu Ruishi remained calm, even though she was there at the time.

So, Butler No. 5 told her in detail what had happened last night. Qiu Ruishi listened silently for a while and then asked, “Why did those two servants go to the basement?”

“This…” Butler No. 5, who believed in ghosts and gods, was stunned. Everyone had been filled with fear last night. No one had paid attention to this most fundamental matter.

“They must have been fooling around in the basement at night. They must have seen something that created an illusion. Go and ask them properly what they were doing there last night.” Qiu Ruishi’s tone was almost emotionless and cold.

Even if the two of them were so carried away, they shouldn’t have been in the Qiu family’s basement. The basement was for storing food, not for enjoying youth.

Ye Wushuang was dumbfounded. She thought that Qiu Ruishi was truly a beautiful girl with Eloquence 999+. With just a few words, she had easily changed the topic, shifted the focus of attention, and even made people doubt whether what the two of them had said last night was true.

No matter what, the matter was settled. Qiu Ruishi’s sister, who was still on a business trip, wouldn’t know about it.

“Miss Ruishi, I’m so sorry. I’ll get to the bottom of this.” Butler No. 5’s expression became serious. He apologized profusely, but Qiu Ruishi had already finished eating. She looked at Ye Wushuang, who was still burying her head in her food.

“Are you done eating?” Her voice returned to its usual polite tone, unusually courteous, but with a gentle coldness that made people feel distant.

Ye Wushuang gulped down the blood replenishing drink and stood up. The two of them walked towards the door, leaving the people in the dining room looking at each other. Especially Butler No. 5, who felt cold sweat dripping down his back.

Qiu Ruishi’s unangered majesty was even more terrifying than getting angry. If Ye Wushuang hadn’t been there, Butler No. 5, who had not investigate thoroughly, would have been fired long ago.

But because of Ye Wushuang’s presence, none of that happened.

They were driven to school. In less than a week, Ye Wushuang had gotten used to living at Qiu Ruishi’s house. They still didn’t walk into the classroom together, to avoid creating stupid topics for everyone.

But the topic still arose on its own.

When Ye Wushuang walked to the bulletin board, she saw several students gathered around it. Ye Wushuang found it strange. She used X-ray vision to take a look, and she saw several photos posted on the bulletin board.

The photos were a little blurry, but she could roughly see that the people in them had red eyes and were wearing something like a cloak. In the seductive night, they looked sinister and eerie. The title read, “Vampire Strikes Again,” attracting the attention of the students.

Ye Wushuang quickly stepped forward. She carefully examined the content of the photos, looking for signs of Photoshop, but after looking for a long time, she found no signs of Photoshop, whether it was the shooting angle or the content of the photos.

In short, it was highly probable that someone had indeed discovered something unusual at school the previous night. The question was, besides the security guards, who else would have been on campus?

Ye Wushuang was a little anxious. She couldn’t wait to find the photographer, but she felt someone approaching her with murderous intent. Ye Wushuang’s heart pounded. She turned around abruptly, only to see the headmaster standing in front of her.

The headmaster’s face was serious, as if he had aged many years overnight. He didn’t greet Ye Wushuang directly. Instead, he looked at his phone for a long time before grabbing her shoulder.

“Ye Wushuang, where’s my Qiu Ping?” The headmaster’s voice was harsh. He was trying hard to control his trembling, as if he was being controlled by fear. Ye Wushuang activated her Mind Reading skill. She could hear the headmaster’s thoughts and feel the collapse and helplessness of this usually serious man.

“Qiu Ping? The class monitor went home last night.” Ye Wushuang replied honestly, but the headmaster’s thoughts kept repeating the class monitor’s full name.

“She came back last night, and then she said she had made an appointment with you!” He was even more anxious. He grabbed Ye Wushuang’s shoulder, and it hurt a little. His eyes were bloodshot. It was clear that he had been so worried about the class monitor that he hadn’t slept all night.

Ye Wushuang smiled bitterly. She felt like she was being used as a shield. Last night, the class monitor must have made up an excuse to act alone. She used her Intelligence passive skill to analyze the situation and came up with a few possibilities.

  1. The class monitor lied to her father to meet someone.
  2. The class monitor was involved in something and was asking for help from her, so she mentioned her name.
  3. The class monitor and the headmaster were lying to her together.

Of course, the third possibility was impossible. The headmaster’s anxious thoughts had already told her the answer.

“Headmaster, don’t worry. Tell me what happened last night…”

“How can I not worry! My precious daughter! She said she was going out with you last night, and she hasn’t come back!” The headmaster roared. He seemed to be going crazy. He thought it was just a joke his daughter had made, but he didn’t expect her to be gone all night.

Not only that, her phone was off, and there was no message at all. The headmaster had also wanted to call Ye Wushuang last night, but Ye Wushuang’s phone was also out of signal. He even went to Ye Wushuang’s house, only to find out that she had already moved to Qiu Ruishi’s house.

The headmaster naturally went to Qiu Ruishi’s place, but the security guards wouldn’t let a stranger in. After going back and forth, he could only go to school and wait for his daughter to return.

But she didn’t come back. All he had were the photos posted on the bulletin board, those eerie photos, as if they were telling people something.

“Calm down, Headmaster!” Ye Wushuang also raised her voice. The red in her eyes flickered. The headmaster flinched and was infected by the inexplicable emotion. He actually let go of her hand.

More and more students gathered around, watching Ye Wushuang scold the headmaster. They found it strange. They stretched their necks, and some even took out their phones to record the scene, to commemorate what was happening in front of them.

Seeing that the headmaster was inexplicably quiet, Ye Wushuang scanned the photos on the bulletin board again. Although she was very confused about the meaning of these photos, she had to deal with the situation at hand.

“Teacher, can we go to the office to talk?”

The headmaster nodded obediently. Ye Wushuang followed him. She saw Qiu Ruishi in the crowd. She ran over to her and whispered, “Qiu Ruishi, please take a picture of these photos.”

“Hmm?”

“I’m not sure yet, but I think the class monitor might be in danger.” Ye Wushuang lowered her voice. She hoped her intuition was wrong. She didn’t want the things she thought about to become reality.

Qiu Ruishi nodded. She didn’t ask any more questions and quickly walked towards the bulletin board.

The two of them worked together. Ye Wushuang asked the headmaster about what had happened last night. The class monitor had been very unusual yesterday. She hadn’t eaten dinner. She had run outside in her pajamas, repeating the words “I’m going to find Ye Wushuang.”

The headmaster had been in a cold war with the class monitor these days. Seeing her go out like this, he didn’t stop her.

“Such a big person just disappeared. How could…” The headmaster clutched his head in despair. His tall figure trembled like a newborn puppy. The school bell had already rung, but he didn’t let Ye Wushuang go.

After a while, Qiu Ruishi came in. She had already instructed her men to investigate the class monitor’s last whereabouts. A witness said that they had seen the class monitor walking towards the school yesterday. And last night, a resident nearby had heard a scream.

Everyone’s faces turned pale. They even doubted if the class monitor had already been murdered. Ye Wushuang took a deep breath. She forced herself to calm down and think about what had happened to the class monitor during the time they didn’t know.
