On the other side, Ye Wushuang easily tracked the blood puppet she used as a substitute.

Her blood puppet was like an NPC in a game, having some of its own consciousness and being able to freely carry out some activities. When Ye Wushuang found the blood puppet, it was reading a book in the library.

Ye Wushuang, disguised as someone else, approached the blood puppet’s location, planning to switch back to her true identity at the right moment. As she drew closer, she noticed something unusual about the books in that area.

This was clearly a restricted section, off-limits to high school students, yet the blood puppet sat there like nothing, holding a very suspicious book.

The people around it were dumbfounded. What was most absurd was that the blood puppet was reading with relish, as if it had seen some delicious food.

If it was just using someone else’s face, it wouldn’t be a problem, but now the blood puppet was sitting there wearing her own face. The thought of running into someone she knew made Ye Wushuang anxious; she felt like she would run headfirst into a wall and meet her end.

However…

“Isn’t that Ye Wushuang? What are you…” Just as Ye Wushuang was breathing a sigh of relief at having avoided detection for so long, a voice from the back row cut through the air, belonging to a boy.

The blood puppet stared blankly at the boy in the back row. Ye Wushuang hurriedly rushed out, taking the blood puppet away, even forgetting to put away the book.

The library administrator cursed the blood puppet’s rudeness. When he was preparing to put the book back on the shelf, he accidentally saw the contents inside the book.

The book fell with inertia, and several large characters were written on the title.

Illustrated Guide to Corpse Changes.

The knowledge that the blood puppet had absorbed flooded into Ye Wushuang’s mind. Despite her determination to become a forensic doctor, she couldn’t help but feel disgusted by the gruesome scenes unfolding in her mind.

“Ah, blood puppet, why did you have to look at something so terrible?”

It had to be said that even after becoming a vampire, Ye Wushuang’s ideal path to becoming a forensic doctor was still a long way off. While she was no longer afraid of blood, she still found herself repulsed by people’s corpses, and similar sights.

So until now, Ye Wushuang had never killed anyone.

Unfortunately, the blood puppet before her was devoid of emotion, simply acting on its master’s subconscious commands. She shook her head. After witnessing the blood puppet’s actions and sighing, Ye Wushuang ultimately retrieved the puppet.

The blood was re-integrated into Ye Wushuang’s body, and the memory became clearer. She could also know all the people and things that the blood puppet had encountered on this day through the blood puppet’s perspective.

Even, Ye Wushuang could see the man who had been following the blood puppet for a day from that crowd.

“So that’s how it is, you even had someone tailing me,” Ye Wushuang’s smile was cold, but she didn’t address the issue immediately.

If she dealt with this one, there would likely be a second, and a third replacement. Seeing it was still early, she went to the restroom—a location with a weak signal—pulled out the business card Qiu Ruishi had given her, and decided on her next destination.

XX Street XX District XX Center Psychologist – Jiang Qiwu.

Ye Wushuang felt that the name Jiang Qiwu were particularly familiar. After thinking for a few seconds, it was as if a bookcase had opened in her mind, and Ye Wushuang immediately linked to the owner of this memory – Qiu Jeiyi’s memory.

In the memory book, Ye Wushuang searched for the name Jiang Qiwu.

The memory book’s pages turned within her mind, the images presented in a three-dimensional format. Ye Wushuang was surprised to discover her brain’s processing speed had increased dramatically, it was now capable of quickly analyzing all the information.

After a few seconds, she found what she was looking for. Qiu Jeiyi had mentioned her doctor before, and it happened to be this woman called Jiang Qiwu.

And this Jiang Qiwu was very famous in Paradise City. Qiu Jeiyi had known Dr. Jiang Qiwu because of her work. Although Ye Wushuang suspected that this Jiang Qiwu had the possibility of manipulating Qiu Jeiyi, she quickly dismissed this idea after scanning the memory.

Just from Qiu Jeiyi’s cognition, this Jiang Qiwu wasn’t someone who was easily controlled. Even so, Ye Wushuang still kept an extra eye out. She used hypnosis to impersonate a XXX patient and entered the hospital to visit this Jiang Qiwu…

Jiang Qiwu was very beautiful, beautifully charming.

Her eyes seemed to be discharging electricity when she smiled, and there was also a beauty mark under the corner of her eye. Her limbs could speak, making people feel a strong sense of oppression.

Charm and strength could actually be reflected vividly in one woman.

If it wasn’t because the sign she was wearing said Dr. Jiang Qiwu, Ye Wushuang would have definitely thought that she was the daughter of a wealthy family.

“You’re XXX, can I call you XX?” Jiang Qiwu smiled enchantingly, and time hadn’t left any traces on her body.

Ye Wushuang couldn’t help but admire the capabilities of these women. From Chief Qin and Captain Zhu to Profiler Fang Yan and now Doctor Jiang Qiwu—all were beautiful and exceptionally skilled. Yet, strangely, Ye Wushuang felt no jealousy.

Perhaps it was because she had the calmness that time had settled down, which was the temperament that people who had experienced great storms would have.

“Yes, I’m XX,” Ye Wushuang continued to impersonate the so-called patient, not using the passive skill acting, wanting to test how powerful this Dr. Jiang Qiwu really was.

“You said you feel that you have neurasthenia?”

“Yes,” Ye Wushuang was stunned. She hadn’t paid any attention to this patient’s medical history, and her limbs couldn’t help but stiffen.

Jiang Qiwu saw all of this, and smiled, “Relax, we’ll just do a simple test first, and then I’ll ask you some questions.”

She seemed to think that Ye Wushuang’s nervousness was due to the nervousness of seeing a doctor. Ye Wushuang felt in her heart that psychologists were nothing more than this, and began to fill out the psychological test questions that Jiang Qiwu had given her.

This was clearly to test Ye Wushuang’s psychological state. Ye Wushuang naturally wouldn’t answer honestly, and she chose the most serious option for all of them.

If the patient didn’t cooperate with the treatment, she wanted to know what Jiang Qiwu would do.

A few minutes passed, and Ye Wushuang filled out the questionnaire, choosing all of them for the phenomena of mental irritability, easy mental fatigue, often accompanied by emotional troubles, easy irritability, sleep disorders, and muscle tension pain, which was equivalent to guiding Jiang Qiwu to treat her as a patient with neurasthenia.

“Then, you can talk about the situation you’re encountering now.”

“Okay, I’ve been very tired recently. It’s difficult to concentrate, I have insomnia, my memory is bad, I often forget things, and I’m overly sensitive to stimuli, such as sound, light, or subtle physical discomfort,”  Ye Wushuang secretly looked at her phone, almost reciting all the symptoms of neurasthenia.

Jiang Qiwu was still seriously taking notes. Finally, she took out a piece of paper and asked Ye Wushuang to identify the content on the picture.

“Tell me what you see?”

Ye Wushuang looked carefully, and there was a smiling child in the picture, so she answered, “A smiling child.”

Jiang Qiwu nodded, and pressed the switch, the picture switching to the next one, continuing to ask, “What do you see?”

“I see a butterfly.”

Jiang Qiwu continued to switch a few photos, and Ye Wushuang continued to speak. After the fifth photo, she stopped asking questions, recording something on the paper.

“Doctor, can I still be saved?” Ye Wushuang pretended to be nervous, continuing to press Jiang Qiwu, feeling that she must have been playing this Dr. Jiang Qiwu around in circles.

However, this beautiful female doctor just adjusted the glasses on the bridge of her nose, and smiled at Ye Wushuang.

“Miss X, your heart is very healthy, even a little too optimistic. I’m a psychologist, not a place to play brain games with people who are fine.”

Her words were not polite at all, but Ye Wushuang didn’t realize where she had gone wrong.

“If you’re here to test me, I can tell you now that you’re fine at all, please go back,” seeing Ye Wushuang still stunned in place, Jiang Qiwu issued an eviction order, seeming unwilling to waste more time on Ye Wushuang.

But until now, Ye Wushuang still didn’t know where she had gone wrong.

“But, I chose the most serious option for all the questions,” Ye Wushuang didn’t understand. There shouldn’t be any problems with her questionnaire.

“The questionnaire is just for reference. What’s most important is looking at the pictures just now. Look carefully, can you see another face of this child?” Jiang Qiwu’s gentle voice held a hint of weariness. A strange thought crossed Ye Wushuang’s mind: if Qiu Ruishi were a little older, she might be as captivating as this woman.

“Really, it’s crying,” Ye Wushuang looked carefully, and as a result, discovered that the child was actually a so-called two-faced person. From one angle, he was smiling, and from another angle, he was crying.

And this was Ye Wushuang’s first time with this kind of test. She’d answered everything positively, so Jiang Qiwu could clearly see that she’d filled out the questionnaire without any real thought.

In any case, Ye Wushuang had lost.

“Sorry,  I really came to see you for something important, and accidentally played a prank.”

“I also know, you’re Ye Wushuang,” Jiang Qiwu finally revealed a smile, that smile even more delicate than a rose.

But Ye Wushuang wasn’t very interested in Jiang Qiwu’s beauty. What she was thinking about was whether she could also cultivate Qiu Ruishi in the direction of an older sister.

Of course, that thought remained unspoken. Seeing Jiang Qiwu waiting for her to continue, Ye Wushuang steered the conversation. “So Qiu Ruishi has already told you, you knew my purpose from the start.”

Jiang Qiwu handed the coffee to Ye Wushuang, continuing the topic, “She only described you to me, and when our conversation reached halfway, I guessed that it was you. Okay, I’m about to get off work, let’s make a long story short.”

With just a few polite words, Jiang Qiwu pulled the topic back. Ye Wushuang also had no objection, continuing to listen carefully to Jiang Qiwu’s next words. And, what she had to do to break through the married teacher’s psychological defenses.
