Thinking of it this way, Ye Wushuang felt inexplicably nervous.

“Hurry up,” Qiu Ruishi urged.

Ye Wushuang had planned to mentally prepare herself, but seeing Qiu Ruishi urging her, she bit down without hesitation. Qiu Ruishi gasped in pain, and Ye Wushuang quickly lessened her bite, but Qiu Ruishi’s trembling intensified.

Every time she sucked blood, Qiu Ruishi would always show this strange reaction.

Ye Wushuang couldn’t tell if it was pain or something else, only that the seductive look in Qiu Ruishi’s eyes became even more pronounced.

The long-absent taste of blood slid down her throat, its sweetness tempting Ye Wushuang to take a few more sips. Having consumed the blood of many people, she knew how to do it without causing physical harm, but she still worried about hurting Qiu Ruishi.

Qiu Ruishi was incredibly important to her, and because of that, Ye Wushuang desperately wanted to avoid any accidents.

A few seconds later, the quiet blood-sucking ceased. Just as Ye Wushuang was about to pull away, Qiu Ruishi’s hand encircled her head.

“Were you starved?”

“Mmm?” Ye Wushuang, unsure what she meant, instinctively murmured in response.

“Drink a few more mouthfuls, I’ve been eating very nutritious things recently,” Qiu Ruishi grabbed Ye Wushuang’s clothes even tighter, as if she didn’t want to separate from Ye Wushuang at this time.

Ye Wushuang was stunned, and ultimately obediently continued to suck, until Qiu Ruishi told her stop, and she immediately retracted her sharp teeth, checking Qiu Ruishi’s state.

Her body slumped limply in the chair, as if she’d just finished a strenuous workout. Seeing this, Ye Wushuang swallowed involuntarily.

Ye Wushuang knew she shouldn’t be thinking such thoughts, but Qiu Ruishi was undeniably breathtakingly beautiful, like a night-blooming cereus burning with fierce life.

This posture was one Ye Wushuang only saw when she and Qiu Ruishi were intimate. Despite her inner doubts, Ye Wushuang didn’t break the spell. She decided to be a little greedy and indulge in this moment with Qiu Ruishi.

“What else do you have to do?” Qiu Ruishi’s breathing gradually calmed down, but her whole body was still weak, and she was lying lazily on the sofa chair.

Her languid pose was utterly captivating.

“Can I hug you?”

“Whatever, I’m too weak anyway,” Qiu Ruishi didn’t resist Ye Wushuang’s suggestion, whether from exhaustion or a desire to enjoy this long-missed embrace, she didn’t say. She just wanted a simple hug, a way to dispel the loneliness of these past days.

Ye Wushuang no longer hesitated, and took the initiative to hug her lover. Her waist was still so slender, seeming to be even thinner than before.

“Have you really been eating well recently?” Ye Wushuang couldn’t help but ask, feeling very sorry for Qiu Ruishi.

“Mmm, of course,” Qiu Ruishi closed her eyes slightly, gently wrapping her arms around Ye Wushuang’s waist.

“Can I kiss you?”

“No,” Qiu Ruishi opened her eyes slightly, but refused.

Ye Wushuang immediately halted, suddenly realizing how forward she’d been. She’d just drunk Qiu Ruishi’s blood, and yet, she’d been about to go further.

“The curtains haven’t been closed yet,” Qiu Ruishi shook her head helplessly. Truthfully, she’d been captivated while Ye Wushuang drank her blood, but she’d managed to retain some sense of reason.

This wasn’t a peaceful time; someone could stumble upon their intimacy at any moment.

Ye Wushuang understood instantly. She let the blood flow to the ground, biting her own hand. A crimson barrier instantly formed, shielding their space.

The study transformed into a sea of flowers in an instant, as if they’d stepped into another world.

“Is this alright?” Ye Wushuang subtly showcased her refined Blood Awakening Technique, wanting Qiu Ruishi to acknowledge her progress.

Qiu Ruishi glanced at it; the red string in her hand had already woven a further barrier, “It’s still not safe enough.” The red string now outlined the furniture in red, the bed especially, looking strikingly retro, like something from an ancient bridal chamber.

“Qiu Ruishi, I didn’t expect you to like this style, but I just wanted to kiss you,” Ye Wushuang chuckled wryly. She didn’t understand how a simple kiss had morphed into a wedding night scene.

“I just thought your arrangement was too plain, but…” Qiu Ruishi pushed Ye Wushuang away, stepping forward. Ye Wushuang, gazing at Qiu Ruishi draped in blood-red, was momentarily captivated by her beauty.

“Are you seducing me?” Ye Wushuang finally understood the implication of Qiu Ruishi’s actions, noticing the slight upward curve of her lips.

“Can’t I?”

“You were just sucked blood by me.”

“Silly, if you can level up with a dating app, why can’t I?” Qiu Ruishi shook her head, adding, “So, are you coming?”

“Of course not, I’m far too proper,” Ye Wushuang smiled, then immediately pounced on her.

The sea of flowers swirled and danced with their movements, even more beautiful and captivating than any rose petals. The flowers bloomed, mirroring the blossoming emotions between them, a beauty uniquely theirs in this moment…

(TL: So, I think they just had sex)

…

And so, it ended amidst the sea of flowers. A knock at the door shattered their fantasy. Ye Wushuang vanished into the bookcase like a phantom, and Qiu Ruishi resumed her composed demeanor.

No matter from what angle you looked at it, the two people were indeed secret lovers.

“Come in,” Qiu Ruishi had just shouted politely, and the door was pushed open violently.

It was Qiu Ruishi’s sister, her hair a wild tangle obscuring her eyes, looking like a terrifying demon claiming human lives.

Her face was very pale. Compared to her previous aura, she was now like a walking corpse.

“Is she here!” Qiu Jeiyi gritted her teeth, holding a craft knife in her hand, as if she was going to fight that so-called ‘she’ to the death.

“Who?” Qiu Ruishi calmly sipped her now-cold tea, still feeling the lingering warmth where Ye Wushuang had touched her.

“Ye Wushuang,” Qiu Jeiyi said the person’s name gloomily, her eyes only filled with hatred.

“Ye Wushuang? Of course she’s at her house.”

“Impossible, I can feel her aura, she must be here!” Qiu Jeiyi insisted, still frantically rummaging through the study, and as she looked, she noticed the talismans on the window.

“Why did you tear off the silver talismans that I put up!” And this discovery made her even more manic, stepping forward and grabbing Qiu Ruishi’s shoulders, questioning her why she had done this.

Ye Wushuang was raging in the darkness. She was afraid that the crazy Qiu Jeiyi would do something to Qiu Ruishi.

But Qiu Ruishi subtly signaled her to stop, knowing Ye Wushuang, hidden in the bookcase, could see everything.

“There are no ghosts in this world, of course I have to tear down these things.”

“How could there not be, he’s been hounding me every day! Hounding me, saying he won’t let me die peacefully!” Qiu Jeiyi became even more hysterical. The former policewoman was reduced to this state by some unseen terror.

Qiu Ruishi was still not anxious or annoyed, continuing to say, “Are you really sure that what you’re seeing is a dead person, and not someone deliberately playing a prank, guiding you to kill?”

Her words didn’t have any politeness, even though the person in front of her was her sister who had grown up with her since childhood.

“Ruishi, you should believe me! You should…” Qiu Jeiyi became even more manic, shaking Qiu Ruishi’s shoulders desperately.

Ye Wushuang, who was hiding in the bookcase, couldn’t bear it, and suddenly came out of the bookcase, biting Qiu Jeiyi’s neck.

It happened so fast that Qiu Jeiyi didn’t even have time to scream before fainting.

Blood still clung to Ye Wushuang’s teeth, her vampiric nature resurfacing. The thrill of the blood heightened her excitement; she looked at Qiu Ruishi with the playful gaze of a kitten wanting attention.

“have you not eaten enough?!” Qiu Ruishi immediately became anxious, hurriedly checking Qiu Jeiyi’s state, but discovered that the other party had only fainted.

“No, it’s just that she was too noisy, so I let her sleep for a while,” Ye Wushuang responded. She also didn’t know why her brain would be so calm, and even clearer than before.

Various memories of Qiu Jeiyi began to appear in her mind, but there was no Qiu Ruishi in these memories.

Ye Wushuang opened her mouth, not knowing how to express her feelings.

If the blood she’d drunk was truly Qiu Jeiyi’s, and there was no trace of Qiu Ruishi within it, then it could only mean one thing.

Qiu Ruishi wasn’t human from the beginning, she might be the God of Love who had descended to earth, and the gods had modified the memories of everyone around Qiu Ruishi.

This also explained why she didn’t have any reaction after sucking Qiu Ruishi’s blood.

The other party was a goddess, and she, an ordinary vampire, couldn’t use the Devouring Technique to copy and seize the other party’s memories and abilities.

“That’s good, but doing this is too dangerous, you’re undoubtedly telling our enemies that you’ve been here,” Qiu Ruishi analyzed calmly, seeming to be complaining, but her eyes were full of heartache.

It had started as a simple relationship, but now they were entangled in a world of intrigue.

“It’s okay, humans lose some memories when I feed on them. Besides, I’ve learned a new skill – I can now access the memories of whoever I drink from,” Ye Wushuang said confidently.

It was always Qiu Ruishi who shouldered the burden for her, and now it was Ye Wushuang’s turn to reciprocate.

“Memories?”

“Yes, all the memories from childhood to adulthood,” Ye Wushuang continued to nod, and Qiu Ruishi fell into thought, saying after a while, “Perhaps, this new skill of yours can help us explain why my sister has become so crazy.”

“I can try, but I can’t guarantee it,” Ye Wushuang concentrated her mind, and the blood that was still flowing changed into various forms with her concentration, ultimately turning into a thick book.

The book landed between them; its considerable thickness suggested it would take several days and nights to read.

Ye Wushuang watched in amazement. She’d assumed accessing memories through blood would only manifest in her mind, not as a physical book.

The book recorded the stories of each day, the date, and the things that happened. Even the things that the owner of the body had forgotten were recorded in this memory book.

“Hmm, your sister even wet the bed when she was little,” Ye Wushuang pretended to be serious, and in the next second, she felt Qiu Ruishi’s murderous gaze.

“Be serious, we’re not looking at my sister’s secrets right now.”

“Okay, I’ll see if there’s a table of contents, so we can look at it faster,” Ye Wushuang didn’t continue to play around, opening the first few pages, and saw the table of contents.

The table of contents was sorted by month.

From the first month of birth to the present was recorded.

And what they mainly looked at was the section about Qiu Jeiyi accidentally killing someone.

[XXXX Year X Month X Day, I participated in an action. I originally thought that this action would go smoothly, but who knew that a man would suddenly appear. At the time, I didn’t think about it and shot him, and then went to chase the other criminals. I didn’t expect that when I returned to the scene, I would learn from my colleagues that this man wasn’t a criminal suspect…

This isn’t the first time I’ve killed someone, but it’s the first time I’ve accidentally killed someone. I’ll never forget the resentful eyes of the man’s family and children, as if they wanted me to pay with my life…

From that day on, I had nightmares every night, always dreaming of that man. And then, one day, I realized he wasn’t just in my dreams anymore, he was in my reality, haunting me, causing me unbearable pain.]

[XXXX Year X Month X Day, I went to see Dr. Jiang Qiwu for treatment. Although I said that I was much better, I knew that I wasn’t well at all.

That man came again. He was lying next to me, would appear in the corners of the streets, and wouldn’t even let me go when I took a shower. He didn’t speak, always staring at me, but apart from me, no one else could see him.

I think I’m really crazy. I’ve seen so many mental patients, but I never thought that I would become one of them one day.]

The content of the book began with Qiu Jeiyi’s inner monologue, introducing the various things that had happened to her these days. What made Ye Wushuang most concerned about was the psychologist Jiang Qiwu, and the matter about the man who always appeared.

They studied the book for about half an hour, but Qiu Jeiyi only described her daily terror of the man, offering no explanation of how it all began.

That wasn’t the worst of it. The most alarming thing was that Qiu Jeiyi’s memories from around New Year’s, when she’d returned home with Qiu Ruishi, were fused together with those other memories.

It was unclear whether Qiu Jeiyi’s sister’s memories had been manipulated, or if her own mind had become fragmented, but she’d lost all recollection of that time. Later, the man’s appearances in her memories grew increasingly frequent, until he essentially consumed all her recollections.

In the end, Qiu Jeiyi’s memory only had that man’s name left.

Written in bright red letters, making people feel even more terrified.

“That’s terrible. If I hadn’t seen the memory, I wouldn’t have known that this matter would be so serious,” Qiu Ruishi said, looking at the book in front of her, her eyes wet with tears, feeling very sorry for what she had done to her sister before.

“It’s not your fault. I guess this must be another conspiracy of the proxy God of Love. I just heard you say that your family wants to let Qiu Jeiyi marry Mr. S to ward off bad luck,” Ye Wushuang hugged Qiu Ruishi, comforting her, and also, began to discuss serious matters.

Qiu Ruishi nodded, “Yes, I don’t know who it came from. They’ve always been very superstitious, and on top of that, this Mr. S is no longer satisfied with his salary, and is now starting to ask for a lot.”

She didn’t hide what she knew from Ye Wushuang.

Ye Wushuang nodded. They both realized they needed to calm down and objectively assess the unknowns.

“I came to you today hoping we can answer some questions together. Maybe, by working through this, we’ll find all the answers,” Ye Wushuang said, surprised by her own calmness. Perhaps it was the effect of having recently fed, strengthening her abilities.

“Okay, you go first.”

“First question, could the proxy God of Love be this so-called Mr. S?”

“Second question, is Teacher Mu really a cannibal? Or is she just a puppet? To be honest, after knowing her for so long, I always feel that there are many contradictory things. Every time I get to the most critical point, I find that the favorability never goes forward.”

“Third question, was the Dating App really invented by the proxy God of Love? I feel that the power inside has already exceeded the scope of the proxy God of Love. Is there any other power behind pushing the development of this software?”

Ye Wushuang outlined her current problems, while Qiu Ruishi meticulously recorded them. Then Qiu Ruishi continued, “Now, I’ll explain the issues I’m facing.”

“First question, was the two hundred million that went missing embezzled by Mr. S, or did it disappear because you used the Dating App to save states, delaying the payment of the price?”

“Second question, did my sister know something, but for some reason, Mr. S didn’t kill her, but instead drove her crazy?”

” Third question, what is the proxy God of Love’s purpose? Is strategizing Teacher Mu really the most effective method you?

Ye Wushuang also fell into thought. It seemed that they were living in questions every day, but there was no way to find evidence to prove all of this.

Qiu Ruishi took a deep breath and said the last question, “The last question, who are you?”

The look in her eyes, directed at Ye Wushuang, was strangely unfamiliar, filled with confusion.

“I’m Ye Wushuang.”

“But haven’t you noticed? You’re looking more and more like the Goddess of Desire.” Qiu Ruishi stared at Ye Wushuang’s face, as if she could no longer determine whether Ye Wushuang was a human or a god.

“I… I don’t know.” Ye Wushuang was also confused.

If she couldn’t extract memories from Qiu Ruishi, and found no trace of Qiu Ruishi within her sister’s memories, it suggested that Qiu Ruishi might have always been the God of Love, her memories simply sealed and then inserted into the human world.

“Then let’s change the question, what exactly are we, humans, or something else?” Qiu Ruishi sighed, she had already seen the content on the book, and couldn’t see anything related to herself.

Both of them had once thought that they were humans, but now, all kinds of things were making them unable to determine whether they were humans, or goddesses, or perhaps, just toys created by the gods.

The unknown was too terrible, but it made the two of them helpless.

“Ah, I hope we’re not some goddess.”

“Why, isn’t it good to be a god? You can live for tens of millions of years.”

“Gods can’t be in love, are you planning to be my secret lover for the rest of your life?” Qiu Ruishi shook her head, feeling Ye Wushuang’s stupidity.

If she couldn’t be in love as a god, she would rather be an ordinary person for the rest of her life.

“Ahh. That’s right, then why don’t we kill the proxy God of Love and pretend to have amnesia, of course, provided that we’re gods.” Ye Wushuang’s eyes rolled, suddenly thinking of continuing to play the amnesia card.

Qiu Ruishi couldn’t help but laugh, “Okay, let’s do that.”

Ye Wushuang’s joke broke the tension. Their fingers intertwined, their eyes meeting in a shared gaze.

Even if they had to face the world as enemies, as long as they were together, they could overcome anything.
