Lord Ghost Husband, Please Let Me Go - Chapter 3
Chapter 3: Ghost Eye Covering
Due to inertia, I stumbled right into his embrace. Wei Changfeng didn’t seem to find this inappropriate at all, he even gently patted my hand and winked at me.
This startled me so much that I immediately escaped from his arms.
That look, that gesture was clearly flirtatious!
I’m not stupid; I could read the signals instantly. My previous impression of Wei Changfeng had been positive, thinking he at least presented himself as a gentleman in front of the media. But after this encounter, my opinion of him plummeted to rock bottom!
Not to mention he did this in front of so many people, and I was about to enter a Ghost Marriage with Wei Que soon to be his sister-in-law.
Flirting with his future sister-in-law? Instantly labeling him as a scumbag.
Because I was annoyed with him, I glared at him a few more times. Just then, an icy voice sounded behind me. “Little enchantress, I forbid you to look at him.”
The voice was so cold it sent shivers down my spine.
The next moment, an even colder pair of hands covered my eyes. Instantly, everything turned white, as if I had cataracts, I couldn’t see a thing…
Was I blind?
Ugh… Thankfully, I learned a thing or two from my grandfather, who understood supernaturalism. I recognized this phenomenon as Ghost Eye Covering. It meant a Fierce ghost was using its hands to cover my eyes, making me see and hear nothing, as if I had entered another dimension.
However, the covering wasn’t complete, because I could still hear the funeral music playing in the hall and people talking. Gu Changfeng asked with concern, “Sister-in-law, what’s wrong? Are you unwell?”
I instantly felt like cursing, but fortunately, my grandfather had once told me that when experiencing Ghost Eye Covering, I shouldn’t be afraid. Just spit on my palm and smear it over my eyes to drive away the Fierce ghost. I acted on the thought without hesitation, spitting on my hand and smearing it over my eyes.
“Heavens, you actually smeared saliva on my hands! How filthy!” that clear, cold voice rang in my ear again, dripping with disdain. But at least he removed his hands, allowing me to regain some vision and see again.
“Don’t worry, I’m fine.” Seeing Gu Changfeng’s overly concerned gaze, I quickly waved him off but internally vowed to avoid any further contact with him.
He’s a scumbag no, thank you.
Finally, others noticed what was happening around us. A woman in her fifties came over, took my hand, and asked me to call her mom. She said that once I joined the Wei Family, she would take care of me and told me to treat this place as my own home.
I thought about it and really wanted to offer my condolences, but then I pondered whether it was appropriate to say such a thing at a Ghost Marriage ceremony…
She turned to the crowd and announced that the auspicious time had arrived, it was time to begin the wedding ceremony.
For no reason, my heart suddenly raced!
The middle-aged woman with a spotted face approached again, still hunched over and bowing her head so low I couldn’t see her expression, but her presence was intimidating nonetheless…
Then, she moved behind me and shoved me hard from behind.
Caught off guard, I stumbled forward and slammed right into the Coffin… But instead of the expected head injury or bleeding, it felt somewhat soft, as if I had fallen into a sturdy embrace.
Soft and surprisingly comfortable?
The middle-aged woman nodded with great satisfaction, completely unconcerned about whether she had bumped into me and caused any pain. Instead, she bowed toward me and said, “The ceremony is complete. Now let’s step out and give the newlyweds some space.”
