Cao Yuan knelt beside her mother. “Mother, in the future we will trade for wild greens you can eat from other foraging teams.”

The male laughed. “I heard Shi Lin say you are a kind little female. But I think you are even more amazing than he said.”

He stood tall and looked directly at Wu Yue. “My name is Cao Fang. If you ever need anything, just come find me.”

Wu Yue nodded with a smile. “Just call me Wu Yue.”

She said goodbye to Cao Yuan, Mu Jing, and the others, then left.

Qing Cao turned to Wu Yue. “Yue, Cao Fang just introduced himself to you. Why were you so cold to him?”

Wu Yue looked at her. “I am not going to become his mate. Why should I be warm to him?”

Qing Cao clicked her tongue in disappointment. “But Cao Fang is a beastman warrior. If you became his second partner, you would never worry about getting meat again.”

Wu Yue said nothing.
