Standing silently behind her mother, Ye Duo wore a dark expression as she stared at the frail female. Hatred surged in her eyes. All the resentment she once directed at Yuan Lang had shifted onto the innocent Wu Yue.

The beast warriors in the hunting team also heard Hua Shu’s booming voice. However, they were used to her shouting and did not react.

Only Yuan Lang, now part of Hua Shu’s household, and the two exhausted warriors beside him turned toward the sound.

There stood the familiar towering Hua Shu and the familiar lion-headed little female.

“Yuan Lang, since when did that lion head start tagging along with your mother?”

Teng Kun continued, “Nothing else?”

The two exchanged glances, then turned around and presented their backs in mock defiance. “Heh.”
