Yuan Lang glanced at the middle-aged beastman and the others. Then he turned sharply and shouted in a low voice.

“The rest of the tribe, follow me. Quickly!”

The beastmen understood the situation. Although they were deeply unwilling, they gritted their teeth and carried the injured, following closely behind Yuan Lang.

They had barely run far when the roars of feral beasts echoed behind them. The sounds were savage and cruel.

The beastmen’s expressions turned grim. They tightened the bundles held close to their chests and resisted the urge to look back. They lowered their heads and kept running. Only the occasional glimmer of falling tears revealed their inner turmoil.

“Stop!” Yuan Lang ordered.

There was a rustling sound ahead in the jungle, like the movement of many animals dashing through at once.

“Roar!”

A snow-white tiger leapt from the trees and landed directly on Yuan Lang. It pinned him down and gave his face a thorough licking.

Before he could react, the tiger jumped aside. In a flash of shimmering light, a strong and handsome middle-aged beastman appeared before everyone.

The beastman laughed heartily and threw an arm around Yuan Lang’s shoulders.

“Son! Did you miss your father?”

Behind them, Teng Kun and Teng Qian could barely contain their laughter. Yuan Lang twisted away to escape the beastman’s grasp.

From the direction the middle-aged beastman had come, a group of half-beastmen warriors emerged one after another. Seeing their long-lost tribesmen filled everyone with joy.

“Son, where’s that Da Shi bastard?” The beastman looked around but could not find his old companion. A bad feeling stirred in his chest.

Shi Lin rushed forward from the crowd.

“Brother Yuan Lang, where is my father?”

Yuan Lang was tightening the stone spear in his hand. When he heard the question, he looked at both of them and waved to the uninjured members behind him.

“Half-beastmen warriors, stay and care for the injured. Beastman warriors, come with me to retrieve Uncle Da Shi.”

Without another word, he took the lead and ran back toward the jungle they had come from.

Hearing this, the middle-aged beastman’s expression became tense. He called over his old comrade, and the two of them shifted into beast form and followed closely behind Yuan Lang’s group.

Shi Lin and the other half-beastmen warriors formed a tight circle around the wounded, watching all directions with vigilance.

Although the central region of the Jidi Forest was not a place where feral beasts often roamed, its proximity to the inner forest meant encounters were still possible.

Here, they could not afford to relax their guard.

The closer Yuan Lang’s group got to the place where they had encountered the sabertooth boars, the louder the sounds of battle became.

The face of the middle-aged beastman was unreadable beneath his fur, but his eyes were full of heavy concern.

“Son, what kind of wild beasts did you run into? Judging from that noise, they must be enormous.”

Yuan Lang felt like that word son was about to be permanently etched into his brain.

“They are not just wild beasts. It’s a squad of sabertooth boars.”

The middle-aged beastman and his companion drew in sharp breaths.

Feral beasts, and not just any kind but group-living sabertooth boars.

They had not gone far before, So, the return was swift. Around them, trees had been knocked over by the fight, clearing out a patch of forest.

Blood was splattered across the fallen trunks. The middle-aged beastman and the warriors who had stayed behind were still locked in a fierce battle.

Yuan Lang let out a furious roar and charged straight toward a massive sabertooth boar.

Behind him, the middle-aged beastman shouted with strength.

“Son, your father is coming to help you!”

Da Shi, who had turned pale upon seeing Yuan Lang’s return, felt a weight lift from his heart when he recognized his old comrade.

Reinforcements from the tribe had arrived.

The two adult sabertooth boars were already injured. Now they were surrounded by a pack of shameless warriors from the Snow Tiger Tribe. There was only one outcome.

With howls of defeat, the beasts went off to meet the Beast God.
