The Black Wolf chief looked at the hopeful face in front of him and let out a cold laugh. He grabbed the other by the back of the neck and dragged him toward a dark corner.

A chilling voice drifted into the night air. “This was all your brilliant idea. Because of you, I got beaten badly. If you know what’s good for you, don’t resist. Let me return the favor.”

Then came a series of pitiful howls, blending rhythmically with the snores of the surrounding beastmen.

The next morning, Wu Yue woke up feeling refreshed. A slightly damp breeze drifted through the straw hut, making her feel wonderfully at ease.

Outside, the beastmen had already begun their work.

When the Black Wolf Tribe’s chief arrived with his people, a wave of mouth-watering aroma immediately hit them. Unable to help himself, he swallowed hard.
